Best free weather app in store
I tried installing various weather apps in the apple store and can honestly say this is the best by far. Great graphics, detailed and very easy to understand. But best of all it’s free ( you do get advertising) but that doesn’t get in the way of the app or spoil its functionality. So I’ve deleted the other weather apps and now just have this. Great app, a must have on all iPhones

While the app is very pretty it is sometimes way off the mark. Was in a storm in Ireland 2 days ago and it said wind speed 8 mph! And now in Rome where the wind speed is 8 mph and it says gusts to 28! Okay!

A little confusing at times
I find the short term forecast to be somewhat difficult to align with what is actually happening. Excellent long term. It’s mostly when rain is about, probably the nature of things and not your fault.

Not accurate
This app is very nice to look at but i haven’t found it to be accurate . Yesterday it didn’t register the heavy snow we had all Now it has been snowing fir the past three hours but the app says it is raining. I can’t see across the road because of the heavy thick mist but the app says that visibility is at 4 kilometres.
If it can’t get the current weather correct how can I trust the forecast..

This app is really accurate when it comes to the weather, but there’s just too many ads. Literally every single time I move the Map, an ad appears on my screen, even if I just move it the slightest bit. overall, though, It’s very good.

I loved this app!! Past tense sadly, I live in the Scottish highlands surrounded by hills and valleys and prone to constant and severe weather changes, and this is one of the most accurate weather apps for my area. I was particularly fond of the rain map and I had used the app almost everyday for about 2 years free of charge and now it’s changed to pay to view, so disappointed and for a split second was tempted to buy into it but knowing there are other apps and websites that are free of charge swayed me not to be so silly :( saddened to part ways old chum ⛈

I have used this app almost daily for short term forecasts, very useful. Last week I completed a survey and now know what I should have known ages ago. Namely that if I had scrolled down , a wealth of weather info was waiting for me. I feel quite stupid !

Location not working or doesn’t correctly use device sensor
Clearly by a distance and a half Weather Live is the best full-featured weather app on the App Store. I can hardly fault it. You can therefore imagine my surprise at what I did discover after I purchased. WeatherLive does not provide altitude adjusted barometric pressure information to inform the standard MSL method of describing pressure. What a surprise for such a sophisticated offering. This amounts to location tracking not working because Weather Live is not resolving or calculating altitude.
Don't let this letdown put you off though. This app is available on a trial which is easily good enough for you to decide that WeatherLive is worth the small premium cost. It is very worthwhile supporting this developer because they are not just talented but they are proactive developing & refining all the time. It should not be long before WeatherLive will give you the real Barometric pressure where you are.
Since any serious weather watcher will want accurate air pressure and like us actually use a device with an in-built pressure sensor to know exactly what’s happening locally I can’t give more than 3 stars for that reason. Functionality is key.
Unfortunately the weather reporting function keeps dropping out unless one closes and restarts the App. That’s not the way to work and if Weather Live want accurate crowd sourced data it should not put restrictions like that in the way. Strangely, reporting omits a number of weather types one would expect to be able to report.
UPDATE: Apalon has consistently ignored our questions about the failure to resolve altitude at location. We cannot therefore recommend purchase of any paid version. If you have a device with a pressure sensor no paid version will use that sensor to give you the pressure adjusted to mean sea level as you’d expect. It will only report the actual pressure from the sensor, which if you are anywhere above sea level, will be inaccurate. You will need to set the App to simply use the pressure the developer obtains for your area generally.

Christmas animation
I love this app especially at Christmas with the animations of Santa in his sleigh flying in the sky, the presents on the floor and some new ones this year like the Xmas trees for mist. I look at different countries around the world to get different weather animations. Lovely 😊
