Disgusting service

This bus service is just disgusting and disappointing bus driver left us when we are gone for washroom.
All the important documents in the bag it was in the bus. Bus driver left us told us it will be 10 minutes break but they Didn’t wait for us it’s was like only 7 to 8 minutes. Atleast they have make sure all of the passengers in the bus. How can they left us. We have visa appointment in the Manchester like in 12:30 our passport our every thing is gone .when we contact their customer services they told us like we have to wait 20 minutes break for their return response we already wait but still got no answer we have ticket for 2 way like up and down. Not gone a ride this bus now still we are middle of no where and they blocked ours number

Disappointing Experience Due to Repeated Delays

I have used this bus service few times, and unfortunately, it has been consistently late. On my recent journey to Heathrow Airport, the bus was delayed without any prior notification. Due to the delay, I had no option but to take a taxi, which cost me nearly ten times the original fare. Despite this inconvenience, I was informed that a refund would only be issued if the delay exceeded two hours, even though the bus was delayed by approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. In situations involving flights, such delays can be extremely stressful, and passengers should not be expected to bear this risk.
Additionally, on my return journey from Heathrow to Birmingham, my bus was cancelled and I was rebooked on the next available service at no extra cost. However, that replacement bus was also delayed by nearly an hour. Overall, this experience has been very disappointing. I believe the service needs to improve its punctuality, communication, and respect for customers’ time.

The Worst Customer Service ever

How will i be going on a trip from Newcastle to London Heathrow and then you give me a 5 hour 30 minute stop over at Leicester in a place without a bus station.
I was left to stay in the cold for more than 6 hours because the next bus was also Delayed.
The next bus came and it still wasn’t a Flix Bus yet the app was showing a different thing.
This is the first time I’m using this service and i can tell you this is the last time i will be using it!
This is the worse bus service!

Disservice

You are the worst service I have received in recent times. Always late

Very poor service, every time the bus leaves late.
My bus was booked for 7Pm on 28-dec-2026 but bus got delayed by 75 minutes and they said bus will reach Manchester at 12:49 but On M6 Keele the driver said other driver is coming and they let us wait 40 minutes and we reached at manchester at 2am
It was the longest journey of my life from london to Manchester.

Lacks full functionality

The features included on the app seem to work fine so far. ⭐ 1 Star – Worst and Most Horrific Experience

I had the worst and most horror experience traveling with FlixBus from LHR to LGW. The driver took a different road to avoid traffic but completely lost the way, ending up driving through narrow countryside roads at high speed, hitting tree branches along the route until the front windshield cracked.
We arrived over an hour late after this unexpected and unsafe “adventure.”
This was absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, and dangerous.

La peor empresa de buses

Recomiendo nunca viajar por FlixBus el día 28 de octubre viaje por FlixBus desde Londres a la ciudad de Murcia en España, facture 4 maletas adicionales incluyendo las maletas a las cuales tenía derecho como pasajera. Viaje con alguien más esto nos daba un total de 8 maletas, subimos a el ferry para pasar el océano y en el momento en que teníamos que regresar al autobús nos perdimos y no lo encontramos a tiempo, así que el autobús se fue sin nosotras dejándonos dentro del ferry, inmediatamente nos comunicamos con el servicio de transporte y no tuvimos una respuesta oportuna ya que el equipaje seguía dentro del bus, llegamos a el lugar donde el bus terminaba específicamente en Gare du’ nort donde la persona que nos atendió no nos dio una buena respuesta solo nos dijo que una vez el conductor encontrara la maleta se contactaría conmigo y nunca sucedió llenamos un formulario por el cual debíamos esperar aproximadamente 14 días para una respuesta y aún la sigo esperando es imposible que en objetos perdidos no hallan encontrado nuestras maletas por la cantidad y el tamaño.

It’s literally frustrating that the coach was delayed and even after arriving after 10 min late they scan after another 10 mins and there’s 2 driver talking nonstop without running the coach. We book coach to reach early on destination but most of the time it’s delayed and sometimes 2 drivers are talking or sometimes there’s radio playing in coach and in the first they said to not talk and listen songs on loud noise but they do the same so frustrating 😡😡

Over 1.5 hours late with no refund

Booked a bus from Herceg Novi to Dubrovnik. Still no sign of the bus appearing one and a half hours later with no updates. Had to make other arrangements and missed my transfer as a result. The T&Cs state no refund given if bus arrives within 2 hours of scheduled departure time so I didn’t even get my ticket refunded. Avoid this company like the plague.

Useless App

The app is clunky & not fit for purpose. Far too many steps to change bookings. Credit vouchers cannot be used against an amended booking, only against new bookings & this is not made clear in app/website. The app only allows one leg of a journey to be amended each time & consequently sends 2 vouchers for a return journey. If you need to cancel 2 return journeys, it entails 4 vouchers. Want a cash refund, prepare for a whole heap of other questions/entries - only 3 vouchers can be entered on the website, but there’s 4 vouchers!!!! Another example of a poorly designed website & an app that’s actually pointless. Won’t be using the app or website again (how the app gets over 1* is unbelievable) & have cancelled the bus journeys!

Extremely disappointed with FlixBus! This is not the first time I’ve faced luggage issues with them. I booked a trip with 2 x 20kg bags and a 7kg cabin bag, but their system didn’t allow me to add extra luggage. Customer service claimed there might be no space in the luggage compartment—completely unacceptable.
This is entirely FlixBus’s fault, and I cannot travel without my luggage. Instead of a real solution, they offered a voucher, which does not help me at all. I asked for a new ticket on the same ride with luggage included, a full refund so I can book elsewhere, or an extra seat/ticket to accommodate my bags. Their response was insufficient.
FlixBus’s repeated failures, poor system, and unhelpful customer service caused me significant stress. Other travelers, be careful—this could ruin your plans. I expect FlixBus to take responsibility, fix this immediately, and ensure this never happens again

BedBugs 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐛🐛🐛 on the bus

Terrible company to deal with. There’re bedbugs on the bus. Literally crawling on people’s skin. They’re full of blood when squeezed. The company will not want to refund your money. I spent 1 week finding there little buds on me.
The worst part of it is that the driver knew about it the bugs but he just had to do his job and take people from London to Brussels.
The bugs were that bad that he had to request for a new bus from Brussels to complete his journey to Düsseldorf.

Very rude drivers

The buses are sometimes on time which is not bad. However, some of the drivers are rude. One of them asked me if I was deaf because I didn’t hear an announcement he made.
And he repeatedly asked that question in front of his colleague and other passengers.
The other one made a curt statement at me during the trip. Telling me to put on my shoes. I don’t want to assume they’re being racist cause I’m not English but I doubt I’d be using this service again.

Feedback

Overall a really good service, however some drivers will not allow use of the restrooms, (toilets) and on a 3 hour journey that’s not right especially when there is no halfway stop. Should be more info from driver about the trip, such as wearing seatbelts and journey time etc.

Bad services

The bus driver was meant to pick us up at London at 21:30 but they got there late and picked us up at 22:20. They got to the station and still didn’t announce that the bus was around.
Now today they were meant to pick us up at 11:35 and we got to the station 11:34. They were literally still at the station waiting but they didn’t pick us up. That’s so mean. We beg them but they didn’t allow us in. It is not written on our ticket that we were meant to be at the station 1hr to the departure. FlixBus is one of the worst means of transport so far. I regret using flixbus.

NONSESE SEATING !!

I ordered a trip to Nottingham and back to London and the company sends me an email at 3am in the MORNING telling me that my return seats have changed only to find out it had done this to multiple people on the coach meaning 3 people had the same seat leading to a mix up and ppl sitting in others chairs, ppl thinking they can sit anywhere (separate from the people they came with) This is extremely unprofessional and poorly planned and managed. The coach is fully booked they didn’t change the time just the seat which seemed pointless to do in the first place and caused a mix up for no reason. The air conditioning doesn’t work either which is useless on such a hot day.

Excellent and fantastic surprise

These buses were a massive surprise. I slept the whole time. They were fantastic, comfortable and efficient and much better than airport/flying hassle. Love FlixBus just wish they were more flexible with changing bookings/refunds. But 5 stars still as fantastic!

Bus delayed then not delayed

I might miss my flight because i got an email saying the bus is delayed by 46 minutes so i figured I'll leave the house later. Then i got another email 5 minutes before the original departure time saying that the bus will leave at the original scheduled time. Awful

Used this company from Rome Tiburtina to Florence it just said from the bus station so I waited no bus came. No idea it was 5 minutes from the bus station, my bus had left. I had to buy a new ticket which for some reason was double the price for the same journey, the man could not communicate in English I asked for the next bus then gave me a ticket for 2 and a half hours later. No offer of discount or refund. No Wifi, toilet door wouldn’t open. Would not use again.

Very responsive, one of the best travels to use

Compared to many other Bus, Rail, and other travel related apps, the FlixBus app is super responsive, well laid out, and easy to use. Finding all information concerning your booking is super easy, and altering your booking is a streamlined process that doesn’t take you through a million external browsers or anything. The tracking feature and up to date travel updates are great as well.
To top the whole thing off the prices for FlixBus journeys are so good. I really hope they don’t manage to mess up the quality of this app or the pricing of their trips.
I’ve never written a review for an app before, but after using the FlixBus app for a while, I was oddly motivated to voice my appreciation. Top work FlixBus.

Terrible Customer Service

The customer service is horrible, on my latest trip there was a delay over 3 hours and the driver said we should get a refund for the ticket and additional costs. But when I used the live chat and filled out the required forms multiple times they refused to refund me. One of their agents (called Tea) was really rude as well and closed the chat while I was still talking to them. Will never get a ride with them again.

Horrible service, don’t try to travel with them

I got a bus from Perth to London and the driver left me in the wrong station, but worse was that a lot buses arrived a that stop with destination in my correct station and none got me to there, even being the same company. After that I had to get a train ticket and asked for my refund, bc I didn’t used the tickets, and they declined my request 🫠 so, horrible travel, and horrible service! I given them 60 pound for nothing 😒

Absolutely horrible service and literally the worst experience

Just paid £30 to get to the bus station, turns out the bus has been cancelled. No refund on the ticket and the customer service is absolutely horrible, unhelpful and condescending. The only option they’ve given me in return is to first go to london and than take a bus to bristol. Turning a 1 hour journey into 12 freaking hours. This is not the first time but seriously pay a little extra to literally any other bus service and you will save yourself alot of money in the end. Literally any other bus service would be better.

Terrible

Me and my boyfriend booked a return trip to London. Return home was scheduled for 23:59 from London. Staff let us know the bus was 15-30 minutes late so we waited. All flixbus staff then left the coach station at midnight so we waited for 30 minutes for the coach, then 45 minutes. We then find out from one of the coach station staff that the coach has been cancelled at 1am. Nowhere to sleep, no transfer trip onto another service. Will never use this service again

Bus is here. Where’s the driver?

Currently sat in a FlixBus for the first time and the driver is due to changeover to a new driver. And the new driver isn’t here, hasn’t been here for the last 1 hour and 10 minutes, and likely won’t be turning up at all. What a joke. Won’t even bother with requesting a refund as I’m sure there will be an attempt to get out of it. So I’ll get the bank to back charge for services not delivered, get an Uber home and delete the app. In case there was any doubt, would not recommend.

Extra seat scam

Took me long time to research bus I need which gives me extra seat option, after purchasing ticket I need with extra seat ( because I will have over 24 hours journey) received my booking confirmation with two tickets I bought. Next morning I got email saying that my extra seat I paid for got cancelled without explanation or giving me option to cancel entire journey, because no way I would travel such long journey with one seat. When I went to buy another seat it cost me 66£ , when I bought original ticket only for 34£. Just shocking that Flix Bus cancelled my reservation without any explanation! When I rang customer service person was absolutely unhelpful and would not do anything to help me to get my extra seat I paid originally.

Prices

Prices chance so fast, it was only £7,99 only a day ago. I had to buy when it was £18,99 IT’S A BIG PRICE DIFFERENCE!!!. I literally don’t understand why to give a price and than change it after a time. It’s just ridiculous.

Civitanova bus stop changed!!!

Without warning or explanation the bus stop in Civitanova Marche moved from near all the local buses to a shopping centre out of town with only 3 buses a day, no taxis, no information, so this is EXACTLY what an app should inform about and also Flixbus need to resolve onward local transport issues. The train takes 2 hours longer to Rome but with no local bus or taxi, Flixbus went from GREAT to useless. At least Trenitalia does not move railway stations. Great drivers! Comfortable buses. Good prices. Braindead management.

Coach Tickets

This was the first time I have traveled with FlixBus and I would not recommend it to anyone. The drivers have been rude and I keep being allocated seats that don’t exist. On this trip to London Hammersmith the driver had his bag in the seat behind him and would not allow anyone to sit there even though it was a booked seat as was evidenced by the man that he told not to sit next to his partner. I was seated behind the driver as seat 2 B which he asked to verify on my phone was “taken” and he nonchalantly grunted “sit anywhere” as his grasp of the English language is limited.
This should not be standard operating procedure of a business.
The money that I spent on this trip has taught me to delete the app and not book with you guys again.
Thank you for the eye opening experience. I can only hope that I make it to my destination safely.

The description here says there's no booking fee when using the app. Why do I still see a service fee showing up? That sounds like deception. Cancellation

I've been a Flixbus customer for nearly a year, but my experience with the service has been quite unsatisfactory. The drivers often come across as unfriendly and authoritative, which leaves a cold impression. As I write this review from the coach station, I've been waiting for my bus since it was scheduled to depart at 1:15 am. The display still shows it as delayed, and to my surprise, I discovered in my emails that my ticket was canceled on the day of my departure. While I understand that such things can happen, it has disrupted my plans as I have work commitments in the morning. I had to book another bus and reschedule my meetings, which has made me seriously consider exploring other transportation options due to Flixbus's increasing unreliability.

Don’t get a seat reservation!

We reserved a seat so that we could sit properly, but that is your driver today, the 7th of August bus number 041 going to Bristol at 11:30am, he did not help us to get out of the seat that we reserved and he said there was nothing he cares. It's a waste of money to add a seat reservation because all the passengers are just sitting there without proper behavior. We even got into fights with other passengers because they felt they were robbed of their seats but we paid extra and it was like we were begging to sit. This service and experience is great! I hope your staff will pay attention to this so that next time, if someone has made a reservation, they will be able to sit and not fight with other passengers and the staff is really not helpful. Bad experience!

Errors Abound

Trying to book a ticket I encountered a “pe118” and “ad04” error. Both times my card was charged and no ticket was issued. Time to contact support, I guess!
Update: the orders were canceled automatically and my money was returned. Had to look online for a solution and eventually succeeded by adding a “+” to my email (myemail+flix[at]email[dot]com) and checking out in USD with PayPal…

Cheap

This service is good in terms of price but sometimes the buses can be very annoying. In the past I’ve had a bus leave Victoria a bit too early causing many people to find another way around. Flix bus operators where contacted by TFL group but there was no answer for over 30mins. When they finally answered they said they’ll be there soon but another half hour later no one showed up, it was very unprofessional.

there is no doubt about how bad this company is. the bus I was on broke down on my way to London we were stopped for 6 hours and we arrived completely out of time I missed a day of work because the company does not commit to the schedule a trip from manchester to london in a crappy bus with a hideously dirty bathroom we should arrive in london at 6:35 in the morning but the bus only leaves liverpool at 5:45. I'm really not happy with the bad service provided by this company.

Unreliable

If you want to be late and miserable use this bus. I booked this bus from Leicester to London and it was THREE HOURS LATE! It was raining and very cold at that time. Their bus stop don’t have any cover because their just using the public bus stop. Thier information in their app is not accurate and nobody you can talk to in their customer service only voice service. Plus the bus is so dirty and smelly, you can see rubbish on the floor and the toilet was filthy. So if you want your journey miserable take Flix bus the company that doesn’t care!

Terrible and unreliable service

I booked a bus from Manchester to Stoke on Trent and it still didn’t arrive by the time I should have been in Stoke on Trent! I got no update on the whereabouts of the bus and I could not track it on the app either. When I called customer service they said if there are any issues they would contact all passengers but I never received any updates. First time using this service and I will never use it again. Waste of time.

Don't ever travel with this company!!

I m waiting for my train from Cologne to Berlin for 7h!!! First they delay for a few minutes, then for 2h and then again for 2h and now they delayed again for 2h. I have no information from them why they did this and I haven't received any email or sms informing me. This I call disrespect. Uncomfortable as...

Paid for a window seat, thinking that would make my 7h Madrid-Lisbon trip easier and more comfortable. Only to find out the seats are reclinable (Seriously? Reclinable seats? Who still does that?). Off course the passenger in front of me decided that having the seat completely reclined was the best option. Wrong and selfish.
Besides that had also to endure a trip without power sockets and WiFi that barely worked. This is probably the worst £30 I’ve ever spent on transport... and I fly Ryanair.
That said, FlixBus is 100% not worth it. Unless you really have no other option. Sad, sad times...

RESERVED SEATS TAKEN

I paid extra to reserve my seats and by that standard the bloody drivers should NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO SIT IN RESERVED SEATS or at the absolute least tell people seats are reserved if they are! The driver had told this man that my seats were not reserved to which I had an issue with this man who sat there blatantly ignoring us and being utterly disrespectful, taking up my space with absolutely no luggage of his own compared to all of mine and my partner’s luggage and with us being both tall and struggling with all our stuff, the leg room was booked and paid for for a reason!! Sort this rubbish system out FlixBus and make sure someone who pays extra to reserve is respected by having their seats! Absolute nonsense. So many issues with this company when it comes to management and stuff like this. Don’t waste your time! Sort it or lose a good customer and many more.

Website much better...

I can't make payments with my card - doesn't even give me the option. I just get a pop up telling me to use another method and I don't have PayPal anymore (the only other option...). Causes problems when travelling and without a PC and leaves me finding other companies to travel with.
A more general review of the company rather than the app:
When it comes to Flixbus as a company I generally like them. I don't like to travel by plane due to environmental impact and this is an affordable alternative. Some journeys are comfortable and relaxing (Coimbra - Malaga, Barcelona - Venice, Amsterdam - Hamburg, etc...), however some routes are absolutely terrible such as any routes that go to London (absolutely no leg space! At 6ft 5 my legs were squished for 12 hours straight through the night and didn't sleep a wink - I travelled this twice with different routes from Amsterdam and will never do it again). The route from Sarajevo to Vienna (and return) I was forced to pay to put luggage in the hold and to validate my pre-paid ticket just to get on the bus (absolutely no warning of this from Flixbus). As the buses and drivers differ so much it's really a spin of the wheel in respects to the quality of the journey. Anyway, I'm still travelling long distance journeys primarily with them...
Would be nice if they'd fix the app so I can pay with my card and use my discount coupon they emailed me. Doesn't allow coupons to be used on the computer...

I want my fool set !

I got on the bus in Hamburg direction London and it happen to be next to a guy definitely to big for the set where he was, half of my set was taken over from him don’t allow me to relax and be comfortable in the set that I payed for my gurney! What should I expect from FlixBus ! The money of my thicket back would be nice since I speeded 12 hours stuck between the window and the guy not able to moveor sleep ! Or at lest make this oversize people pay for 2 sets so they won’t bother other passenger and even that can be mor comfortable !

FlixBus from Barcelona to London via Paris was cool

FlixBus is a Generally good. Service from my experiences of using them from Barcelona to London via Paris. Improvements: ALL Booking details need to be FULLY VISIBLE from the App when booking. I just took a chance & was lucky. I Liked this service. WiFi service can improve.. Drivers need to tell passengers if there is no working WiFi so that we don’t spend ages fussing thinking it’s our devices that are not working. My mobile battery was low & if driver announced WiFi / charger was not working... I could’ve just turned it OFF so I could save battery (& not stress myself out as to whether I’d be able to show the mobile phone ticket to my connecting FlixBus from Paris to London. It worked out. I really liked the cheerfulness of the drivers on my 2 trips. Made me enjoy the long journeys. I’d book again for sure. I arrived rested.

Worst travel in my life

I had made a London to Paris trip with my family. I had booked my seats prior to the travel as I had a 2yr old kid. When I boarded the bus, someone else was sitting in my seats and when I asked them to move, they said there is no reservation system and you can sit anywhere. I told this to the driver. I was stunned to see his reaction. He was just saying No English, No English and just pushed me to sit somewhere vacant seat. Luckily my wife and kid were made to sit together and I sat away. This was the worst ride I had in my life considering this happened in a place like London. So I don’t think they do what they write in their site. I will never book again with Flixbus. Please do not opt this if u have small kids... You never know if this might happen to you also.

Avoid like the plague!!!

After taking around two days to finally confirm our booking (2 tutors taking 9 students from Perpignan to Barcelona) due to the online payment facility not working and the App not showing the available seats (more on this later), we eventually boarded the FlixBus, which to their credit was surprisingly on time.
We paid to reserve seats so that the students were all sat together (including paying extra to sit at the front as one of the students suffers from motion sickness), however when we boarded we noticed there were passengers already sat there or luggage dumped on the seats. When we queried this with the driver he just shrugged and scuttled us all down towards the back, where we were separated and greeted with someone laid out across the full back seat asleep.
I am posting this review 30 minutes into the journey from my 3G as the advertised “free Wi-fi” is awful, there is a lingering smell throughout the cabin which I can only describe as ‘Curry, mixed with Kerry Katona’s urine sample’ and I’ve not even dared have a look at the toilet yet!!!
Avoid like the plague - which coincidentally is what you will catch after a journey on one of these things! Will be requesting a refund, thats if we make it back alive.

Erm. Where to begin?

Ok so. Coach was 10 minutes delayed first. Then we were pulled over by Border Control claiming that we had a headlight out. They confiscated some people passports we were waiting for about an hour while they waited for some documentation. Following this we made an unscheduled stop in Liberec, where the driver did not have the appropriate card to enter or exit the bus station. We were here for about half an hour, while he sounded the horn relentlessly trying to get someone’s attention. It is now 19:45 and we are still on the coach. However, the driver is most definitely speeding... A LOT. which is most concerning.

App is so smooth

As an app developer I often see stumbling blocks in user flow when booking tickets, but there are literally none here. Great app. Check times and book ticket in less than a minute, and straight into Apple Wallet.

Decent for the price

London-Paris return
Bus arrived 20-30 mins prior to departure and left on time from London and only 15 mins late from Paris. Moderately comfy coach, both way the bus wasn’t full so I got two seats. WiFi didn’t work either way and there were no sockets, driver also only spoke French. Didn’t use the toilet but there was one which was unlocked when someone asked for the key. We arrived more than an hour early at both ends, good for some but that meant 4am and 5am. In a foreign country in the dark, in a bus station full of homeless people (Paris, Bercy-Seine) before public transport was set to open was intimidating so be warned you will possibly arrive early, however I downloaded the French Uber (ChauffeurPrivé) so it was okay in the end. On my return the boards displaying bus times cut out so had to walk up and down to find the bus and when I sent the flixbus team a message saying this they replied 4 hours later after I was on my way (thankfully I found the bus because they are clearly marked). Overall a solid service, buses were clean, good storage for luggage, prompt and got us there and back efficiently for a great price so the issues were expected and it did what it said on the tin 👍🏼

Easy online booking, and a comfortable smooth 1.55 hour trip just completed this morning. Particularly grateful for this service as there are train disruptions at the moment on this route- it took us 5 hours to do the reverse route by train on Monday! No comparison- thanks Flixbus.
