3. Snap a photo of your receipt and upload to the app

This is one of those “under the hood” updates. Our crack development team have been making loads of tuning tweaks plus added some pretty exciting upgrades. You might have to work pretty hard to spot them, so here are some clues:
Sending you reminders to use the app when you go shopping has been brought back by popular demand, but only if you turn Geolocation notifications On (and you can turn them Off, and On, and Off…).
We’re adding some new ways to save, a bit “hush, hush” but they’ll be launching soon, so stay alert!
Some very clever Linking (Yes, we know “Yawn”) but it will help you go to exactly the right place for the information you need. You may not know why, but you will like it.

Scam!
I have enjoyed using the app initially. It was encouraging me to buy/try things i would never go for. Although when it come down to get your money that you’ve saved ,it’s different matter. You are being charged for withdrawal of the balance below £20...which is fine, I guess. You are then trying to build it up by buying more useless products. I was using the app every now and then so it took me a while to build the balance up...when I was about to withdraw the money I have saved allegedly...the funds have gone missing as I was taking apparently too long to build up the balance. When I have raised with CS they apologised for disappointment and that’s it-no money returned. At the end whole thing turned out to be a waste of money and no saving at all! Good job I haven’t gone mad on freebies offered by them-nothing is Free these days!!

Issue with Ocado
Ocado has switched to paperless receipts, so going through the camera has become pointless. Please add upload option of camera roll screenshot or pdf in app. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Make Shopping More Interesting
I take a few seconds to check the App & filter on the retailer whose store I’m entering to check out the offers. I’ve found it’s a great way of discovering products I’ve not tried before with the opportunity to generate significant cash back on the cost - sometimes 100% of the cost. One downside is on a few occasions the retailer hasn’t stocked the item on offer in the store I’ve visited.

Good way to earn cashback on your grocery shopping
It only takes minutes to upload a receipt and the money builds up quickly. I have the money paid into my bank account when it reaches £20 and earn about £120 a year. Sometimes the cashback is 100% so the grocery item is free, often it works out at half price, or maybe you just get 50p back. It is a good way of trying something new. Occasionally there is a problem, but it is sorted quickly and I sometimes use the Checkoutsmart Facebook page to ask questions.

I have also tried lots of things that I maybe wouldn’t of brought due to being able to try them for free. I tend to leave my money to add up and cash in at Christmas time.

This cashback site is amazing. I’ve taken advantage of so many offers, also finding new products that I may not have tried, if not for CheckoutSmart. I always check what’s on offer before I go shopping. Would definitely recommend.

I love this app and is my favourite cashback app. I have been using it since 2014 and have seen the app and the cashback amounts increased and the items have got better and better. I have claimed back just over a £1,000 in cashback.
This app usually gives you the opportunity to try new products for free or at a reduced price. My advice is only buy items you like or would want to try so that the cashback is a bonus. Customer service is fast and fair. The reason why I haven’t given this app five stars is sometimes the free items are mid-week for 1-2 days only and the big stores near me don’t sell some of the products and it would be time consuming to get to a store that sells the item on a work day.

Great saver
Such an easy to use app. Download, check out the offers at each supermarket, buy the deals, claim back using your receipt and the payment is paid into your mycheckoutsmart account. Then request payment to get it paid back into your bank account. It’s that simple. Plus there are always loads of offers and freebies to choose from.

Great app
I love this app. I’ve accumulated about £116 to put towards Xmas over the course of the year. I more often use it for the free stuff and would like to see more. Reason I haven’t given five stars is I’d like to see some of the offers last longer than a day as sometimes the offers are near to ending at the end of the day when checked by which time the shop shelves have been emptied.

Good for trying new things
I always check this app before going to the shops to see if there’s anything on there that I can try and save me money. Not just new things but regular items too. Always worth checking ahead of parties for good deals on alcohol and kids snacks. I haven’t been denied any cash back attempts since using, just make sure the receipt is clear x, even works on online shop orders.

Great for product testing
I check this app every time I go shopping, offers change regularly and I often get something completely free or at least with a generous discount. Putting in the claim is very simple. Receipts are processed quickly and the money then shows in my checkout smart account. I leave it there till it builds up to £20 and then withdraw it to my bank at zero cost, however for a small percentage it could be withdrawn at any time. I would highly recommend this app if, like me, you like to try new products at low or zero cost

I love love love checkout smart. I save at least £10 weekly - items I won’t use I pass to the food bank. I get the hump when I can’t find an item on offer anywhere and can’t wait for new offers to show.

This app is so easy and simple to use.
They have a list of products you can buy when shopping. Some are free, some with some money off. You just buy the item and scan the receipt. Payments pretty fast but you need to ‘earn’ £20 before cashing out. I usually find lots of great items.

I check this app every day and there’s nearly always something I can try for free or save money in. It’s a good way of trying new products without breaking the bank too. I transfer the money into my PayPal account and pay for my treats I order online and feel like I’m getting them for free too 😬

I mainly shop in Tescos as that’s our nearest store. Already I have earned over £400 & that’s only buying products that I would either be buying anyway or would be keen to try. Can’t recommend highly enough. Definitely the best of the supermarket apps

Had the app for a couple of years now. Earned almost £200 over that time. I once had a problem with a receipt that hadn't printed properly, the shop gave me a printout copy on A4 paper, which I sent. My cashback was declined as it was not a real receipt, but I emailed customer service and explained, and they accepted the printout as proof of purchase. Love the free products but you have to be quick to get them, and sometimes they are not available in my local stores, which is a pity. But overall, a great way to save cash, and try new products.

I really love this app whilst not all the products are to my liking there is nearly always something for someone I know so I’m popular with my friends and family this app gives you the chance to try new products a lot cheaper and when it’s free why wouldn’t you?
Only downside is not all supermarkets carry the full range so sometimes you have to shop around but if you have this app you probably do that anyway

This used to be a great app until they introduced an automated camera function BUT as they’ve now added the option to turn off the Auto Snap function - it’s back to being great !!
