Terrible experience

Their marketing and app might be good, but beware as their after sales support is terrible - should you get any problems they are unorganised and will leave you supported. This happened to me on a trip this year and Jet2 were useless. Needless to say I will never use them again. I guess you get what you pay for - cheap travel package but zero support if anything goes wrong

Too many Marketing Notifications

Update:
Jet2 responded so they won another 2 stars. Now just waiting for the turn off marketing notifications for function. To win more stars. ;-)
I want to have “my booking”alerts using the app, but also get too frequent marketing alerts that can’t be turned off. The Jet2 Marketing unsubscribe page does NOT offer this option.
Otherwise the App is good enough and would merit at least 4 stars.

Irritating and irrelevant notifications

As the title says, irrelevant notifications, at one point I had over 9 in one day. You have to check them as you are concerned it may be a flight update. Never was, simply marketing which I had previously opted out of. The final straw was being asked to check in when I’d already done it - confused/concerned/worried all in 60 seconds. Reluctantly give negative feedback but my next act after this is to delete the app.

Poor IT. Not responsive enough.
Need better description of the area of accommodation. EG how near to public transport ( so important to encourage its use) how close to good shops and restaurants.
Better descriptions of outside space provided by accommodation. Is a balcony provided and what’s on it and what view is like.

Need enhancement search criteria

I want to search for 2 bed rooms, I can only filter on rooms if I search for a specific destination - multiple destinations doesn’t support this. Ideally the results would only be those that met my room preference. A family of 4 with a teenager don’t want to be in a double room with the kids on the couch!
Similarly, if I search for a specific destination the ‘date range’ option (plus 1 day, 2 day etc) isn’t available. I’d like to search for a range, with multiple destinations selected and room choice - or at least have the room an available filter. You have the search and filter options I want, yet they’re not available together - or for all search types!
The room option is the most important though.

Not tested - does not work offline

This App was already pretty poor but now doesn’t even open in iPadOS 26.3 - despite TWO update releases on the App Store - the developers clearly don’t test it!
Meanwhile, this App doesn’t function when offline - STUPIDLY it pops up a message to tell you you’re offline that actually blocks you from using it offline - YOU CANNOT GET YOUR BOARDING CARD!
What you can do is access functionality to load documents but - DUH! - you need to be online! Seriously, you can’t make this up!
And if you don’t think this matters then it also impacts iPhone users: wait until you travel through LBA - Jet2’s HQ Airport … you get through security in the old airport building - with mobile phone connectivity, but then walk to the brand new shiny building (Jet2 departure area) and there is no mobile signal (Vodafone, but others said they had the same problem) and trying to connect to guest WiFi was a joke that was seriously unfunny, stressful and didn’t work either. The outcome, by the way, was that Jet2 staff had to write out boarding passes at the gate, skipping all kinds of security measures! All because this App doesn’t let you get to the Boarding Card page when offline
Seriously, the developers should be sacked and replaced by a team who understand basics such as TESTING the app before releasing it.

Amazing staff

I just wanted to say a big thank you to two amazing air hostesses, Kornelija and Charlotte J, who went above and beyond during our recent flight. My son started feeling unwell not long after take-off, and they were both incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire journey.
They checked in on him regularly, made sure he was as comfortable as possible, and even brought him a blanket when he said he was feeling cold. It really made a difference and helped put both of us at ease.
Their care and attentiveness didn’t go unnoticed, and I’m so grateful for how they handled the situation. They were absolute stars and made what could’ve been a really stressful flight so much easier. Thank you both!

Easy peasy

So far from start to finish everything seems too easy but maybe that’s because it is? I keep checking to make sure I’ve not missed anything off and checking again and everything still looks good. When I first left school in 1985 I worked in a business travel agency for 3 years (OMG 40 years ago) am I really that old? Anyway I shall be travelling with my 2 teenage daughters and can’t wait to have a girlie holiday. Unfortunately dad can’t make it as he has to look after our dog as we promised never to put her in kennels. Things seem to be easier now we have apps for everything. Thank you jet2 for caring and making life easier

First Class Service

Our first trip with Jet2 from Bournemouth Airport. It was such a breath of fresh air to have a holiday where we didn’t have to jump through hoops. A certain other airline who will remain nameless ( as I spit every time I utter their name) had already refused to refund any money when I had to have an emergency operation, so to hear Jet2 starting up operations was brilliant news.
Our travel agent Hays Travel did everything for us as it was a late booking, she even checked us in and printed off our boarding passes and arranged for a wheelchair to meet us.
We arrived at silly o’clock to an explosion of Jet2 balloons and staff all looking very smart and after we dropped our bags off, we were directed to the pink vested assistance team. Special thanks to Sally and Laura who arranged the chair and directed us to the bar area until departure time.
At the given time, we were boarded first at the front steps with Sally and Laura both waving us off.
We were very impressed with the legroom and the aircrew were all very cheerful.
We were met at Palma airport by their assistance team and offloaded onto a special vehicle which took us straight to the baggage arrival lounge where a lovely young guy insisted we board his golf buggy to get us to the coach with a quick stop off to collect the bags.
The coach was comfortable and after a quick trip (30 mins) we were at our hotel.
Our Jet2 rep Jenny messaged us mid holiday with departure information and we had a nice chat with her on Monday afternoon and we assured her we would be coming back again.
Our first impressions of Jet2 are brilliant and we cannot praise you enough!

Pop ups are annoying

Jet2 holidays are very good and I have used them every year since Lockdown
The app, though good at some things is extremely annoying in other areas.
Despite selecting that I do not want promotional pop ups, I still get them every time I open the app. The app is more geared toward selling you what you don’t need as opposed to be helping with holidays that you have already booked. And isn’t it really annoying when they offer you a discount on a holiday that you have already booked.
Since originally writing this review I have been getting an email stating that I have had a response from the developer. Please read the review before sending automated emails. Minor things stopping a 5 star rating. Stop being so pushy, please.

Problems with Jet2 app on iPhone 8

Have made a booking, downloaded the app, everything seemed fine till I tried to went to “add booking”. Filled in booking reference and all it’s said for the last 3 days is “we couldn’t link your booking due to a technical error”. Whatever that means !!! Have tried deleting the app and re-installing it. And there is no update waiting on my phone. I have triple checked everything that I’ve put in. Searched online to see if anyone has the same problem but can’t see any obvious issues from this moment in time. I have used the app in the past with no problems. So maybe it’s time to just do everything the old fashioned way (check in at airport and print everything off) rather than use a phone app that can’t be trusted. Any help before I delete the app for good.

Malta Holiday.

In September, we took a trip to Malta via Jet2. We also have booked a hotel with them. I would like to write. The whole experience of the 10 days is excellent, but sadly it took one whole day in the hotel complex to get the room that we have paid for. I’m not so disappointed in the fact that we had to try hard to get a room but just to make a point of making an issue of writing it down and told us that they would get back in touch with us. Once we have returned back to England I phoned two or three weeks later, Jet2 and spoke to somebody that told me that I had to wait a certain period before communications could take place. We are now in the middle of November and we have not been contacted but we are being offered holidays as if we were very happy about travelling with them. This is our experience.

Well……

First time I have used this app. Tried to check in online, but just got a blank screen. Checked in online on my laptop, but now cannot see the boarding passes in the app as I get the same white screen, so will have to download and print out. Good job I checked before leaving for the flights otherwise I would have arrived at the airport with no boarding passes. Changed my review to 5 stars as it seems the only way to get the developer to react. Let’s see if actually read the reviews or it is just a bot. Looks like the only benefit is getting £10 off per person. They made sure they can take your money, but haven’t followed through with the necessary after sales service.

Great travel company

Myself and my family have travelled with Jet2 on numerous occasions now and can honestly say that what you see is what you get, friendly service, great holidays, very competitive prices and with the assurance that should any problem arise they get it sorted promptly. From initially creating a booking to arriving home, Jet2 keep you in the loop. The airline crews are always friendly and the ground staff are super efficient at getting people to the right places at the right times. The majority of flights are on time and the planes are comfortable and allow more baggage weight than most other airlines and you can get a cup of lovely Yorkshire tea! The hotels they offer are true to their recommendations and there’s always a resort rep available should any problem arise, although we’ve never experienced any but it’s reassuring to know. I would recommend Jet2 to anyone thinking of booking with them.

Julie Ricketts We have just come back from a hot week in Madeira…Jet 2 fantastic service and couldn’t fault until pick up on last day. We had premier service mini bus come to collect us on 26th August ,driver said fasten seatbelts which we always do. The ride back to the airport was dangerously fast and driver was cutting everyone up on the freeway,even had a motorcyclist shaking his head at the driver. The drive to the airport could have ended in disaster with a bad accident,absolutely no need for this dangerous driving. We had hours before due to the airport and only reason we could think was that the driver had several further pick ups. We were collected from The Views Monumental Lido around 8.30am

Thank you very much

I’m very happy with the Jet2 App. I booked a holiday with my children last year to Gran Canaria for 10 nights. Is was Amazing. We felt really looked after. And Jet2 were at the ready to help with the general ups and downs that go along with any holiday. Unfortunately i cannot book a holiday with Jet2 this year for myself and family due to financial difficulties. Last year was amazing it was mine and my children first holiday since gaining freedom from an abusive relationship. I was married for 10 yrs and suffered physical, financial and mental abuse which my children was witness too. And has left me with daily ptsd. I have tried to win a holiday with Jet2 just for a break away from the normal everyday life. Unfortunately I have been unsuccessful but I hope to book a holiday for next year. I would not book with anyone else as I felt very secure , safe and looked after. Thank you fingers crossed for next year.

We had the best time ever, we enjoyed it to the fullest, the only thing I wasn't happy about was the lifeguards, there was an incident at the pool where a child could have drowned if it wasn't for a woman who was nearby or for the mother of the child who dived into the pool, the lifeguards was nowhere to be seen, they came after the mother had already got her child, they were not doing there job they were too busy on there mobile phones, instead of paying attention to pool and what was going on, the child had to go to the hospital lucky enough he was ok, but it could have been worse apart from that we enjoyed our holiday, there were lots of things to do with the kids they love every bit of the Holiday

Jet2 great experience

It was the first time we have flown with Jet2.
The bag drop was smooth and plenty of staff at the airport on hand to help.
The cabin crew were friendly and always had a smile.
Plenty of staff at destination airport. Only slight snag was waiting for the mini bus transfer.
The hotel JS Palma Stay was good, staff friendly. Long queues at reception at times though.
The only slight downside was in the restaurant. I had informed the hotel I was on a gluten-free diet. Reception said they had informed the restaurant but I was to confirm it at breakfast. There was no alllergen information on the food labels. The waitress informed the chef I was glute free, he said wait 5 mins, came back with a warmed baguette and biscuit and walked away. I asked the waitress what else there was to eat. She walked me round the food saying yes or no to foods. Told me the mushrooms were gluten free & then called the chef who said they weren’t. By the time she finished I had forgotten. The chef even told me the yoghurt had gluten!! This happened a couple of mornings so I gave up and used my initiative and just kept to the foods I was certain were okay. I am not a coeliac thankfully but gluten sensitive.
I do think the allergens should be on the food labels, not only for wheat but other allergies.
We did try evening meal on one night but that wasn’t a great experience either.
But in the whole pleased with Jet2. Didn’t find the Jet2 folder until a few days before we left.

Usually very good

The app and company are brilliant, I refuse to fly with anyone else, even if sometimes Jet2 are slightly more expensive. However the app has been bugging a lot lately and I think it’s something that needs addressed. I’ve been trying to amend my booking to add on meals etc and every time it takes a while to load, then it will display the page I want for a few seconds and then a blank white page with “an error occurred” pops up.
This concerns me as I’m going to be using the app for boarding passes and general information and I’m worried that when I’m in the airport and need it to work, that it may bug out in a similar fashion. Please could you have the app developers look into this. Other than this I have no complaints at all, I love Jet2!

In my opinion Jet2 is the best

I have jetted around the world many times but if I’m jetting to and from Turkey I find the best airline is Jet2. I would like a big shout out to Maria the ground staff who is the supervisor, Nadia who helped me recently to find a plug to charge my phone, and Neil for listening to one or two of my suggestions. I think after several flights Jet2 if I can make an idea I wish you would do a loyalty scheme makes people come back to you and it shows appreciation I also think you’re one of the best airlines show appreciation when someone like me so thank you recently I had an accident and now I need assistance I do find your staff very accommodating and they show empathy. I have only one bad comment to make When I fly i ask for hot water for which you charge £1.50 I do think this is unfair and extremely expensive I know your suppling a cup with a lid but really,

Can’t fault Jet 2 customer service.

Jet 2 is always our first choice when it comes to booking flights or package holidays. They are not the cheapest anymore but the quality is first class. The staff are always amazing from telephone, online, airport, flight crew and resort staff.
A few negatives though in the last year.
Removing the blinds from the windows! Yeah this apparently saves money, but now means that if you have a day flight the sun literally burns you and is so uncomfortable. I’ve noticed last couple of flights people finding ingenious ways to block out the sun, unfortunately I’ve seen a few safety cards slide down behind the wall.
CASHLESS!!! Jet2 have been trialing cashless transactions on board. This is wrong on so many levels. First before not everyone has cards, secondly if you’re using master cards from chase, monzo, Revolut or FairFX then chances are your card won’t work or be accepted by the card readers. Cash is still a legal currency and is still a cheaper option for businesses ( I am a business and know this ). Removing this option for passengers will 100% create a lot of problems on board.

Playa Blanca in April

Having just returned from the Hotel Livvo Volcan in Playa Blanca, we were delighted with the location and cleanliness of the property, being close to the Marina was a bonus and the upgrade to a Sea view room was definitely worthwhile. We felt that the hotel was ideally suited for adult travellers with less emphasis on family activities.
Food was good quality and plentiful, although there were lots of restaurants nearby for a change of menu occasionally. Staff were all very pleasant, and there were lots of local shops, supermarkets for any essentials.
The evening entertainment was varied and although some nights could have been improved, the “Pavarotti & friends” concert was quite special and the trio “Essential” was also highly popular with everyone.

Won't work properly

Have downloaded it onto my iPad and it works OK. Then downloaded it onto my iPhone and it is full of faults and error messages. The home page is blank apart from the icons at the bottom, clicking in the first two brings up the appropriate page, but with an error message: "Oops we're having problems, please go back to the home page. Clicking on sign in brings a black page with the bouncing white dots that keep bouncing but it doesn't move on. Eventually the dots disappear, but there is no way of getting rid of the black screen. The X in the top corner doesn't work when you click on it.
I have deleted and reinstalled it many times, but same issues every time. Tried turning 'phone on and off, but that doesn't sort it. IOS and app version up to date. Have messaged Jet2 and had a couple of responses, asking if IOS and app are up to date, then nothing!
Guess I'll have to waste time 'phoning tomorrow. Grrrr.

Holiday company convert

Just booked our second holiday with Jet2. Our first experience was earlier this year flying to the canaries. The system at the airport (Stansted) was well organised, very easy and quick. We had good seats on the aircraft by the emergency exit which we paid an extra fee for (£40 each flight), but well worth it for the additional leg room. Arrival was well organised again with easily recognisable reps. I found the booking website to be informative, extremely easy to use and quick. I’m nearly 60 years old, pretty well travelled and have used a lot of travel companies in my time. I found Jet2 to operate far better than I had expected and am more than happy to use them in the future.

Poor App

Am going on holiday with Jet2. Downloaded the App. We’ve already checked in. Unable to bring down the boarding passes as flight was booked using my wife’s email address. Tried the flight only option. All that happens is it loops round reloading View My Boarding Pass. Surely it is not beyond the requirements specification for the app to include a capability that allows all passengers to download their Boarding Pass? Had the previous two Jet2 Apps. Separately they worked. They were good. This version is comparably dreadful. Disappointing as it will damage their business not to get basic functionality to an adequate level.
Update. What I did eventually, after logging out and in again and rebooting the phone, was to delete the app, download it a second time, and - without logging in to MyJet2 - log in to the booking as a guest at which point I was able to access the booking and download the boarding passes. As this is obviously inherently less secure, I will maintain my original position that this is a poorly designed and inadequately tested app. However, the workaround does work so hopefully will be of assistance to others.

Great holiday

Just returned from 6 nights at Sandos el Greco in Portinatx Ibiza. Had a lovely time and rate the hotel highly. I have added a positive review on trip advisor re this.
Jet 2 were fine albeit we were significantly delayed due to an incident on the runway at Ibiza which is beyond Jet2s control in the afternoon of our return. Although we were given vouchers, these did not cover a sandwich and a drink. The other comment I have is that we landed at EMA at 1.00am in the morning, were taken to the furthest point away from passport control and then had to endure a further 25 minute wait for the aircraft steps to arrive. This when you have had a longer day than planned and just wish to get home.
It will not put me off booking with Jet2 in the future but hope that the comments may help your company improve if events of this nature happen in the future.

Faro beach resort Icmeler turkey,

Lovely resort, good hotel, Turkish bath fab, Alfred great guy booked us in for nails , manicure, and micro blading eyebrows, really pleased with results , my partner had a man session , haircut,shave , face pak ears nose spotless, we loved our pamper sessions top class,

Pity can’t, do something about Manchester airport, waited over an hour for baggage, conveyor belt broke down, three flights came in terminal overcrowded, which was hard enough, but trying to get to car park 3 on terminal bus was shocking, all full, when we finally got on one we were sandwiched in overcrowded, my 76 year old partner had to hoist two heavy 20klg suitcases on the top racks . Watched by the driver, no help, apart from telling him he had to put them up there, absolutely disgusting, young healthy fit men sat down, whilst elderly passengers stood and struggled, when I spoke up a young man as I was getting off shouted abuse at me, I asked him to step off the bus and repeat it, coward that he was hid in the bus,
What had been a lovely holiday cheerful happy, left us feeling old and miserable tired and my partners back and arms are aching and he is in pain today, as am I,, trying to hold on to bars and rails while the bus turned and shook us about,

Vibe hotel Benidorm Primavera loix

On arrival for a stag with 28 in our party to be welcomed with a very arrogant and abusive receptionist demanding 200€ per room deposit which had never been mentioned when we booked online that’s €1400 before we even got our keys to the room !! To be told we would get our money back on checkout so we stupidly went along with it and payed out the money. We checked out yesterday all the rooms left in a perfect condition no damage as we barley were in the rooms the full stay. To be told the money would go back in to our accounts today nothing has shown up!! After a quick phone call to the hotel again to be met with an extremely rude gentleman advising us that we wouldn’t be getting our money back as we had damaged something in one of the rooms so no one could have the money back out of our party. We asked for proof and what was damaged but he swore down the phone and hung up.
Very disappointed and won’t be using jet2 holidays in the future for any holidays moving forward from start to finish a disappointing experience for all!!

Best airline by far, for short haul

I couldn’t believe the level of professionalism and service provided by this airline. Even as we arrived at the airline they were looking out for their customers to guide them swiftly to their gate with a huge welcome and offering as much help as anyone could want. Being disabled, I had more help from them as I have by travelling business class with various airlines. The planes are ridiculously comfortable and beautifully designed interiors. Attention to detail and the kindness of every single member of staff. made my trip very memorable. Their flying times are excellent and I will travel with them as often as I can. Outstanding. Not as good as the PC

I was attracted by the additional £20 discount as clearly Jet2 wanted us to use their app. First attempt seemed to be going well then it stalled and most of the information that I had typed in vanished and I was thrown back to an earlier stage. Not a one off the same thing happened on the next attempt. That was enough for me so I gave up. Later I looked up the same holiday on the PC and it had dropped by £100. I decided to try again on a bigger touch screen and this time I got through to the payment stage. On payment attempt I got a spinning disc that went on for close on 10 minutes but at last it did confirm the booking. Can’t say I am impressed by the app. It is really just the same as the on line PC search and booking except on a small screen with fat fingers and no precise pointing device it is so much more difficult to use. Cant see why Jet2 want to promote it. They nearly lost my booking and I suspect that I am not the only one with that reaction.

Iceland

The guys and gals of Jet 2 are awesome!! Especially the tour guides in Iceland, I totally recommend you book excursions through Jet 2, the knowledge and humour is immense and topped by organisation and enthusiasm! Totally wonderful experience!! The gals and guys of the flight attendant dept are fab too! The flight to and from Iceland was one of best I’ve been on so big up to the pilots and co pilots! And Iceland!! Well!!! You gotta go! What a place! If you have a bucket list you need to have a bucket with compartments because you will want to go back and back! It’s expensive there! Very! But loads of wonderful eateries and the beers are great. It’s a strange world there and the Icelanders are lovely folks. They grow tomatoes all year round how nuts is that? Go there it’s bonkers and you will love it! Thank you Jet 2 I had a fab time!

Holiday in Tavira, Portugal

From the onset of our holiday, checking in baggage the day before we flew, the Jet2 staff have been pleasantly welcoming and attentive. I’ve been most impressed by the professionalism of the Jet2 reps both on and off the plane.
Our package holiday with transfers worked well. Our hotel the Nova Maria offered a very good standard, quiet hotel, lovely spa with a small warm indoor pool. The roof top bar was impressive and the dining area was well organised with a plentiful range of food at breakfast. The hotel staff were always available and gave good advice on where to eat and local transport. All staff were friendly and obliging.
In a way the standard of Jet2 has surprised me and takes me back to when ‘flying’ and package holidays were a pleasure. I will certainly go with Jet2 again.

Parque Santiago 3, Tenerife November 2023

Flights and cabin staff excellent, on time and helpful. In flight snack disappointing, bacon roll very stodgy, wouldn’t buy again. Transfer coach fine, driver loaded and offloaded luggage. Stayed at Parque Santiago 3 many times, but disappointed all the ‘pool view’ rooms were taken, but the concierge kindly went through the computer to find us an acceptable alternative with morning sun and a large balcony. Plenty of sun loungers, no need to fret about losing out to early morning towel bookers ! Nice clean pool and local cafe/bar across the bridge overlooking the waves. Pick up coach on time, as was the plane. Overall, our Jet 2 experience was very good and I would recommend them and book a further holiday at Parque Santiago 3. My wife Valerie and I are great admirers of Jet2 we always try to use them for our holidays. There actual courtesy at check in is brilliant and throughout the flight. We are, and will continue to use them whenever possible, plus we like to take our daughter Lisa with us.
But we have also had a bad experiences with Jet2, when during the lock down we had to cancel our holiday because we were advised, by the NHS, that we were very venerable should we travel. Left with little option we canceled our holiday. Jet2 then really surprised us when they refused to return any of of our holiday payment. They also failed to inform us that we could transfer our holiday to a later date, this was hard to swallow.
However, this year in April we again booked a holiday with Jet2 which we enjoyed, plus we have again booked another holiday for March 2023 with Jet2.

My view of Jet2

Well we booked are family holiday 6 months before departure to Portugal . We haven’t traveled abroad for many years as a family so we were new to booking on line etc and a little apprehensive about it all , well we needn’t have been as Jet2 kept us informed of due payments / requirements / and answered all of our question right the way up to departure. We booked our parking at Bristol through the App and could not have been happier. On arrival the Jet2 team were their to greet and direct us to our transfer coach . We had a fab holiday and can’t praise them up enough. Well done Jet2 team and look forward to our next trip soon . The Spring Family.

Wonderful service from Usha, Thursday October 10th

I experienced wonderful service today. We needed to change my wife’s name from miss to Mrs, which has mean her name since October 16th 1982; that was arranged easily by Usha. I mentioned that some of my speech is now less precise than it used to be the case, since I had a stroke last November. Usha very kindly remained on the phone to help with arranging our Booking Passes. She was exceptionally clear, and when your system on my computer stopped working she advised me how to log in to your Web site. Her help was enormously appreciated, not merely that she guided my wife and I so well, but also that her tone of voice was so excellent. Her method of speaking was always such that we will want to fly with Jet2 again. Would you very please thank her. Her method may be your usual method of service, but we certainly appreciated her approach. Our flight was 3E9DCP, 18th October.

My partner recommended Jet2 for our first sunshine break away. I couldn’t believe how easy and how varied the selection of hotels and locations were. My partner found us an amazing holiday she sent me the details and I said this is way too good to be true …. she told me it was a Jet2 holiday to an adults only luxurious Ibizia getaway! Exceptional Service from Jet2

We have traveled with Jet2 for a number of years and always received great service but this year it’s service we received was off the scales.
We went to Madeira in July 2022 cloud was thick and wind speed high over and many planes unable to land.
Jet2 took us all to Fuertoventura booked us all into hotels all expenses paid by Jet2. What fantastic service we got from both Jet2 and the Hotel Thank you so much for all you did that day.
We heard 14 planes were diverted from landing on Madeira that day and another well known holiday company just flew all its passengers back to UK.
That is the level of service you get from Jet2 would choose this company above others every time.

Keeps getting stuck

I use app to check flight only prices for various flights to Skiathos from different airports. In the past I have moved quickly from one search to another as we fly a few times over the summer . The new app gets stuck on the date page it asks me to enter dates but will not let you as the calendar just has three spinning dots on the page never mind how many times you press clear previous dates . My other issue is that earlier in the year I could book flights on 2 days from east mids and I think on 3 days from birmingham now it seems flight only schedules have been reduced but I can book a package holiday on the other days that were originally on the schedule . Skiathos has always been a popular place for independent travellers and although customers like myself pay extremely high prices to book in advance for flights only you don’t seem to want them to book with you by making their flight options less flexible.

Love Jet2

Jet2 are the best travel company I’ve used over the past few years to book package holidays! Right from using there app to browsing holiday destinations to booking and travelling with them 😍so easy to use with prompts!
At Stansted airport you are greeted with a smiling welcoming staff who work with such professionalism attitudes and dedication to travellers, upon boarding staff are attentive and with happy moods just make you feel at ease 😌
My whole experience with jet2 is of platinum standard in my eyes and I would not use anyone else for the journeys they offer, quick easy use of booking system and the WhatsApp contact option again very useful as you don’t need to sit waiting on phone use as you continue with every day tasks!

App review

Positives - Fast and easy to use. Lots of information. Like the document folders. Easy to add extras.
Negatives- Not able to change seats via the app if selected and booked by the booking team over the phone. I selected my extras and paid before I checked in but once I tried to check in it wouldn’t let me continue until I had put an item or an extra in my choices and paid again for it even though I had these items already listed.
This will need to addressed and I now require a refund on an item. I did not choose to call the support team as I had to make 4 calls to sort out the selecting seats issue each time doing on hold for over 40 minutes and having to hang up. The team are extremely kind and helpful when you get them however the service time is poor.

Asterion suite and spa hotel Crete x

We have just returned home from a very relaxing weeks holiday stay at the Asterion suite and spa hotel.
The whole experience from booking with Jet2 over the phone , checking in online and then checking bags in at the airport,the flight transfer and the trips we went on were reasonable priced and good fun x The professional and friendly staff are amazing , including bus transfer drivers, mini bus drivers etc, despite the few challenges that they are experiencing at the moment. The hotel really is exceptional and I can’t fault anything during the whole week, it is immaculate with hothouse breakfasts and dinner . Leah our customer assistant was fantastic and so helpful making sure Our stay was as enjoyable as possible and gave us top tips on the local area. We got the public bus in to chania town on 2 occasions x it only cost 4 euros per person return as supposed to taxi which is 20 t0 25 euros each way 😳i would thoroughly recommend this hotel

Excellent, excellent, excellent!

At a time when flights are being cancelled and people are being turned away at airports, Jet2 came through for us with the guarantee of no cancellations. Everything from the minute we arrived at the airport went smoothly, although there was a short one hour delay before takeoff.
Excellent communication throughout the holiday meant we could relax and not worry about the return flight.
We always try and book with Jet2 as the service is exemplary and the 2kg bag allowance a bonus!
We returned home from Turkey two weeks ago and have already booked Gran Canaria for September!! Keep up the good work!! And a shout out to Faye, our lovely flight attendant who looked after us so well on our return flight!!

Would only travel with Jet2

Came back from a holiday recently with Jet2. Despite all of the airport and baggage issues over the May half term, we had no problems at all and the communication through the app was very reassuring and useful. During the holiday, we received useful information about our return journey.
Upon return, we were keen to book another holiday. We received a discount by booking through the app. After lots of research, I was delighted to find the hotel I really wanted available through Jet2. The date checker was fantastic and allowed us to save a lot of money by altering our dates by a few days. The accommodation options with the simple +/-£ made this an easy decision to make and then being able to alter the flight times with clear pricing also allowed us to choose the best times to suit us as a family with young children. Fantastic!

All great so far

Flew out of Bristol with Jet2 Sunday 12th June 2022. After all the trouble and publicity of queues, lost luggage and cancelled flights, I was very worried. But at Bristol airport when we arrived at 3am Sunday morning there was no queue outside, went inside for a short break and a coffee. Then we could book in our luggage. We had time to go to duty free and buy a bottle of Gordans Lemon Gin to take with us. Then not too long to wait and boarding our flight. All good. Got luggage at Miteleyni small airport and straight on bus to Hary’s Rose our apartment hotel. Very nice and relaxing. Anaxos beach a short walk away and all bordered by cafe, bars, restaurants, where you can use sunbeds all day. Only got 4 days left out of 14, but had lovely time, peace and quiet and met some nice people. Hope our trip home goes well too. So 10 out of 10 so far

Gava Waterman Hotel Brac

This is a very good hotel complex.
Scrupulously clean, well maintained grounds are surrounded by Pine trees and as the sun shines and breeze blows the smell of the forest is intoxicating .
The staff are generally very friendly and helpful.
So here are a few tips before you arrive here.
Be aware it’s about 4 hours transfer between split and the hotel, so be prepared for that.
Make sure you know what room you are going to. We asked for a Junior Suite, but apparently the deluxe double is better…..so the morale is check it out carefully before you go.
The rooms with the swimming pools look wonderful.
The food is generally very good, but there are staff shortages here too, so be aware you might have to queue for food sometimes.
But don’t worry, there’s always loads of food here.
3pm pizza and snacks, which are super.
Remember to say thanks to the staff, they are all working very hard.
The facilities for families and children are great.
Milna is about 2km away, it’s a pleasant late afternoon walk in.
It’s a fantastic little port with some excellent restaurants round the bay.
Car hire, expect to pay about £85 per day for a small car.
Free shuttle bus from hotel, taxi back costs between 5 -7 euros.
The sea round the resort is a divers dream, crystal clear and fantastically clean too.
All in all, a great place to have a relaxing holiday.

Cancelled holiday at last minute

My holiday in March was cancelled at a 12 hour notice there was nil customer service no explanation other then weather at destination airport was bad. Checking on local weather site nothing of the sort after a 26 hour delay we were told they could fly us to Spain colder then here at the time or the Canneries at extra cost but that only after being cut off on the phone after an hour each time twice. Nothing about the extra cost incurred such as cattery bills no have to claim on your insurance for that. Even the refund that was supposed to take 5 working days took 4 weeks to arrive.
I know they have had it tough over the last two years but so have a lot of firms and when you have spent two years supporting staff on the front line in care this was a much needed break.

Excellent app to book a holiday

I haven’t booked a package holiday with Jet2 before and I was really pleased to find the process was really easy, apart from having too many choices. We narrowed our choices down eventually and were actually given a discount of £100 during the process, as well as finding that 10kg hand luggage, 22kg hold luggage and our coach transfers were included in the already great price. I had heard that Jet2 had a good reputation, which they proved following their fair treatment of their clients during the period of flight & holiday cancellations during the initial Covid lockdowns. I thought I would give them a try and they haven’t disappointed. If the holiday is anything like the standard of the booking process, I will be very pleased. We’re soooo looking forward to it. 😀

Flew with you for the first time this year ,couldn’t fault it myself .My two daughters who were with me had seats each side of the isle ,there was an empty row in front ,so asked could they sit together as one of them are quite deaf ,she said yes as long as you don’t move until the seat belt lights go out which she did , but one of the flight attendants came up to her and was quite nasty saying I told you not to move until the lights went out ,made my daughter feel so small ,but my daughter pointed out that the lights had gone out ,so she had to apologise has the attendant hadn’t noticed.,my daughter is 59 she spoke to her like a little child . Really upset my daughter . She tried to be nice to her as we got off the plane but my daughter ignored her , On saying that I will certainly fly with you again as other than that it was the best flight I have flown on .

Santorini delight

Spectacular sights - no wonder Santorini is so popular. We stayed at the Santo Miramare Resort, Perivolos. Great location if you are looking for a little tranquility. It’s about a 30/40 minute bus ride across to Fira - the busier tourist side of the island and the location of the main bus hub from where buses radiate to other locations around the island. The hotel was exceptionally clean although a little lacking in facilities. Only real disappointment was the location of our room - at the back of the hotel only meters away from the main road. The noise from trucks and un muffled motor bikes and quad bikes was most annoying. We did ask to be transferred to another room but our request sadly fell on deaf ears. Not good considering we booked 2 years ago!
Overall a great experience.

Links to competitions unavailable

I love the most recent updates with all of the holiday information at the click of a button 👏the only thing that is annoying me atm is that the current competition “Bid for a break “ is promoted as being available through the “Offers “ tab. I have not got it on my app at all; despite my having had the app on both my iPad and iPhone and fully updated with the latest iOS updates. I have reported this to Jet2holidays but had no feedback as yet. When this is resolved; I will definitely revise my star rating 🤞 UPDATE 1/9/21 Still isn’t showing the whole range of “Offers “; I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and they magically reappeared! I quickly entered the “Bid for a break “ competition while it was there ; submitted it and then they disappeared again and are still missing!

I still have the same problem and Jet2holidays insists that there isn’t a problem; THERE IS! I’m not making it up!

The Jet2 App is simply one of the easiest and best to search for and find a holiday to match you. Simply input your dates and destination and let the App do the rest. You can easily use the filter to find your perfect holiday. The best thing about Jet2 is that they only sell great hotels. The previews and ratings are incredibly accurate, ensuring you know what you’ll get when you book.
Their package deals are second to none. I was a loyal TUI customer until I found Jet2 and I haven’t looked back ever since.
Flights are command on time. Transfers easy and quick getting you to your holiday destination safely and quickly so that you can hit the beach and bar in record time.
Money back hassle free is an additional bonus in these uncertain times.

Technical issues.

After speaking to Jet2 the other day over the phone they informed me about a “Technical issue” involving the manage my booking section,
A few people who have booked holidays and are managing their booking through the app are experiencing issues in regards to seats they’ve booked on their flights. Me for example it says I have booked 8 flight seats for 2 people (I have only booked 4 going out and coming back.) and somebody else’s account say they have booked 22 flight seats. This may not be anything to do with the app but I hope it can be sorted out as it’s quite worrying that people are experiencing this and It can and probably will cause issues when it actually comes to travelling on their flights.
Apart from that it’s a good app nice and easy to use it just sometimes lag’s a bit when scrolling through manage my booking.

Good app but searching is far too specific

The app is very good and very user-friendly – the information is displayed clearly, though it doesn’t seem optimised for the latest iPhone screen sizes.
The biggest drawback (and this isn’t just limited to the app) is that Jet2holidays only lets you search one holiday location at a time.
Very often, when I’m searching for a holiday, I don’t have a specific destination in mind and want to be able to choose from a dozen or so holiday destinations (I’m sure many others are the same) yet for reasons I can’t figure out, you can’t do this – you have to specify an individual country to search.
This badly lets the app down and means I have to sift through a dozen searches to make a decision, which I can easily do in a single search on other equivalent websites.
Far less established travel operators offer this flexibility with their searching so it is confusing as to why Jet2holidays insists on such limitations.
It’s a shame as I’ve travelled with Jet2 twice before and have always found their attention to detail to be above the likes of TUI and Thomas Cook – sadly, though, this doesn’t extend to their holiday searching.
Hopefully look forward to this functionality being added soon, though I’ve previously pointed this out to Jet2 over the past couple of years without anything changing.
