Amazing safe email site for kids and super easy to use

Very impressed by the thought that has gone into this and that I can authorise all emails to my children before they receive them. Super job Tocomail!

Can’t send photos on kids kindle app

On the surface of it this is lovely - the iOS version works great, however on my kids Kindle every time she goes to send a photo the whole app crashes and reboots.
Receiving photos is also pretty flakey.
Can’t seem to find any help or support. Not recommended.

La la logva🥞🤣😴

This app is good if your willing to pay30 pounds or dollars a year it may say the charge is 1
£ 27 but once you buy it it charges you 30 pounds instead . Otherwise it’s a good app but not very reliable for instance you can report or text to people without toco mail apps

Can’t even get past the password creation screen

Minimum 6 characters is all that is stipulated, did 6, did 8 with capitals, numbers and symbols and still get “invalid parameters”, wasn’t gonna pay that price anyway!

Good Concept, Basic Execution

Great concept for safe kids email but in use from a parents perspective it’s really frustrating.
1) Notifications are buggy, switching off email notifications kills iOS notifications so your inbox fills quickly.
2) iOS notifications are unreliable, the number on the app symbol is very slow to update. So you have to be guided by your Inbox.
3) As a parent admin it constantly makes me login and there’s no Touch ID.

Beware when the subscription renews

Had this for a year. Automatic renewal was paid but a couple of days later an email was received saying the subscription had expired. Two emails sent, not even an acknowledgment

Expensive eventually

The full range of parental security is only available as an in-app purchase. This is not made clear from the details on App Store. You have to download the app to discover that it's nearly £30/year to avail of all the security available. Disappointing.

Infuriating to log out of

When logging out of an account tocomail hangs. This happens until app is deleted and reinstalled. This bug makes email lessons impossible at the moment.

Great first email

A lovely first email tool which allows the registered parent to keep track of contacts. The children love having their own email to send messages to friends as well as fiddling about with their avatars. Not sure when my 10 year olds will grow out of it but all happy for now.

Great parental filter e mail

Easy to use great e mail filter for children. My 9 year old loves it, I can view all her emails from my phone app. Every mail that is sent to her arrives in my quarantine box first. When I press approve it lands in her box. This happens unless you put that person on her safe list. If safe you can still view the mails but don't have to approve each one first. Great app.

Just what I wanted

I have been looking for an app like this for ages! This is perfect, I love how you can control the contacts and messages from non-contacts are 'quarantined' until a parent approves them.

Great safe learning environment for kids

I really like Tocomail. It has enabled my daughter to have her own email account whilst I can keep tabs on what email she is receiving and sending. The quarantine box also means that if she gives her email address out I can approve the individual email without adding someone to her safe list. Brilliant for a 9 year old girls who seem to fall in and out of friends several times a week!

Has potential, but currently useless

As I work away a lot, I liked the idea if this app to keep contact with my 6yr old boy. We tried this app and Maily. I preferred this app in principle, as other users don't need an app to reply to him with, it's also more like a 'proper' email client rather than a lame in convoluted kids messenger like Maily is. However my son prefers Maily for some reason.
However all of this is academic because Tocomail has a major flaw - none of my emails are getting through to him. He can send me emails fine but receive them (yes I am an authorised contact and no they are not in the 'catch all' folder). So Tocomail is useless right now, Maily it is.
UPDATE: They have squashed a few bugs, including the one that stopped my emails getting through, so bumped it up an extra star. I'm still not convinced about the UI though. Looks very amateur, kind of how someone THINKS a kids UI should look like, rather than what would work best for tech savvy youngsters.
