Technical Glitches Need Addressing

Hole 19 shines while on the course, offering great features that truly benefit the golfer. However, I encountered issues with the software freezing up. Had to delete and reinstall it even after attempting app resets and phone restarts. In a market packed with alternatives, such glitches can be a setback. Hope to see improvements in future updates

When iPhone updates it always disconnects the watch app, this time I need to enter my password but the screen only allows letters not numbers so can’t login. Poor very very poor.

Not so Brilliant Hole 19

I have been an avid user for nearly ten years. Each time there is an update something goes backwards. Usually this is fixed very quickly. I used to contact support fairly regularly and used to be a beta tester (flight test) for a couple of years. I have been through the app facilities in detail and have been unable easily to find the means to request technical support. Has this been removed? My problem at the moment is that the operational response times reduce through a round of golf and it becomes onerous to enter data, shot data. Yesterday it was so bad I had to abandon my round, the time I was spending waiting fir the app to respond was affecting my playing partners. There have been some major updates over the last couple of years and this issue has been getting gradually worse. Come on Hole 19 (Vera), please give me back the means to discuss the problem so that it can be eliminated. Once done I’m sure the app will give me “best of breed” functionality again and I can can enjoy it again like I always used to. It is a brilliant app let down by the side effects of upgrades and the difficulty in getting support. I want to report five star performance again, just like I always used to.

Yardages

I’ve downloaded the app, it looks promising but is there any way to switch it from metres to yards?

Its not any use here in the Uk if not as everything is measured in yards!

Stableford

Just had my 800th round using Hole19. This has been a great App over the years but since the latest revision it’s no longer possible to view Stableford scores while on the course. It is still possible after the round has finished in ‘Clubhouse’. But the loss of functionality while playing reduces the App from five stars to two. No idea why they thought this was a good idea? Can only assume the App developer either doesn’t play golf or certainly doesn’t play using Stableford.

Gone downhill

Really liked this app, but I had to reinstall it as glitches appeared. But after doing so it only worked when I was connected to the internet through data - something I never had. App used to work by downloading courses, but cannot seem to do this anymore. I hope you do not keep charging me as I have uninstalled the app.

Hole 19 is simple to use and has good overhead graphics to show course layout (even without premium). Great way to keep stats on the rounds played if you desire. Best of the other golf apps tried. Only negative is that it uses significant battery on phone .

Subscription renewal con

I have used Hole19 for the last year. I love it and overall think it is brilliant.

I have not yet used the facility to measure yardages by club. I have found that difficult to use. It is not intuitive. Maybe needs some work

Reason for my 1 star review is the con related to subscription.

I subscribed last year and have used the app with no problems for a year. It’s brilliant.

I always switch auto renew off on all Apple Subscriptions which I have done with this app too.

I have come to renew through the app this week and found the cost to be £59.99 which seemed very high compared to the options that were available to me last year.

I have had a look at the website and have been able to get the same subscription (Premuim Pro 12 months) for £39.99. I have pitched this and my app is now live and subscribed

Why would the same product be 50% more expensive to renew for existing and loyal customers.

I have renewed but feel like I have been cheated by a brand I am being loyal too.

Amazing app, especially Apple Watch function. I personally only use Apple Watch whilst on course and never have had any issues. I would love to see Play like distances integrated because would make a massive difference and maybe being able to change the pin location on the watch but other than that cannot complain. Great work!

Easy, efficient and accurate

The app once set up is really easy to use and it syncs up nicely with the iwatch as a range finder. I’m sure it’s not accurate to the yard but it will be decent enough for most golfers.

Also being able to track all your shots from the watch means my phone stays in the bag.

Definitely worth paying the 39.99 annual fee for the features it opens up.

Sudden price increase and removal of the lite version

I’ve been using the app for a couple of years and was perfectly happy to pay the £1.29 monthly subscription for the lite version. Unfortunately this seems to have now removed and replaced with a monthly sub of over £5. Why get rid of the lite ? I won’t be renewing come June and will use the free igolf app for scoring. A shame really

What a shame, not useable any more

Used to be the best app on the market mainly due to the fact they didn’t try to extort money from people, the app isn’t useable now with the amount of ads, it’s embarrassing to be honest, they have ruined it and quite frankly it’s time to uninstall the app now, what a shame they have chosen to do this, cheaper going and buying a dedicated golf product to gauge distances!

Yeah because people really need to be hammered with ads when trying to enjoy playing golf, that’s exactly what people need when trying to plan their game,

“hang on guys I’ll hit my shot in a sec once I stop getting hammered by ads on hole19 “

I used your app as you didn’t extort money from people, it was fair and brought value to the golf app market! Focusing on the end user, now it’s all about sheer profit, I wouldn’t even mind a small fee but it’s too much for a lot of people on low income, not everyone can afford it!

And I don’t mind an odd ad, not at all, say start of round and middle and end, but the level of ad abuse is intolerable! It is driving people away !

Fair enough you need to make money, but you have took your loyal supporters for granted folks!

Why have you made it necessary to upgrade to OS8+ to continue to use the app? It has worked perfectly well with OS6, the ‘GPS only’ option supplied yardages and needed no more functionality. Too focused on Apple Watch - time for basic improvements.

Ability to move the flag and get adjusted yardages is essential and many other apps have this. The fonts are too small - I can barely see my club recommendation details. The quality of the maps is poor - the course is blurred and this is supposedly for a premium map.

Hole 19 exceptional value and incredibly useful

Hole 19 gives me everything I need to play good golf. Using the app with my Apple Watch gives me flexibility without the need for a dedicated golf watch.

The moveable graphics give me accurate distances to greens, hazards and layups especially useful on the par 5’s.

Having the ability to looks at the course before you play and see the topology gives a feel for the layout.

For a free app it is fantastic. I have had the pay version but for my level of golf (14) I don’t need the club selection options or the measurements of shots.

This a really good app, and it's free, it really easy to use, it doesn't take long to figure out. The only thing which I can see to make it better is the option to adjust your handicap when having 3 or more rounds saved in this app, although the average score adjusts after each round it doesn't adjust your handicap which other golf apps appear to do otherwise this a good app

Great and reliable

2nd year on the subscribed app and the watch tracker update is awesome. Easy and reliable yardage but even better easy to review data after your round without the distraction of having to use your phone - simple taps and swipes.

Only tip don’t be afraid to ignore the tech too - early rounds when I was using the app I was too distracted inputting to play decent golf. A clear head is always the best golf.

Scoring made easy

I have been carrying my golf bag and trying to write up my scorecard whilst walking hole to hole now I know that’s not a big deal but sometimes it’s easy to forget and you miss scores etc. A friend of mine introduced me to Hole19 and within seven rounds I think I’ve got my handicap down considerably I’m still not a good player as yet but this helps me with distance choosing the right club and putting my scores in with the added bonus of giving you an idea of what your handicap is on the world stage. I shouldn’t really mention other products but I have aShot Scope watch with the app and all the notes that goes on your clubs and that has become pretty much redundant because of the shot tracking that you have on this app it’s really easy to use once you’ve used it a few times you’ll get the hang of it. Anyway I hope you all have a successful round of golf all the best enjoy the app

Excellent and easy to use

Having looked at several golfing apps I chose this one as find it to be the easiest to use with excellent Apple Watch integration. The only time I have to get my phone out on the course is to check the distance to a particular area other than the centre of the green. I also like the fact that major features keep being added such as the handicap calculator which is very insightful and easy to use

Brilliant App - all you need on the course

Love this app. I use it for each round tracking scores and stats - especially the driving and GIR stats!!! Interesting to see how many putts I hit also...gives me something to work on which I like.

The introduction of a social media style feed is great also so you can track friends or meet new ones based on your game and even home course. Speaking of which, I've not played on a course that isn't part of the catalogue and have to say I am really impressed with course accuracy and maps available.

Be surprised if there is anything better out there at the moment, the price is reasonable considering what you get back and it’s very way to use! Highly recommend 5⭐️

Great App but reliant on phone GPS

I like using Hole19 it is a very easy app to use and shows all the information you need for each hole to understand it’s layout. Unfortunately it relies on your phone’s GPS which I find to be unreliable so it is difficult to use the yardage with any accuracy, I know this as I also have a rangefinder which often gives a completely different figure when looking at the hole. Sometimes Hole19 is comparable sometimes it is way out…

Nice App

My son told me about this app I tried it for free and it works well. I have since subscribed to the service, seems there is so much more I can do with it. Handicap calculator is great and “track shot” click it anywhere between the tee and your ball and select TEE and it measures the distance from the tee to where your ball landed. When you get to you ball just click stop and there it is. Great for seeing how far your TEE shots are - I wish they would publish a top tip of the day on what the app can do that would be very useful. I have used it across the UK the maps make it easy to understand a new course can’t wait to try it in Thailand.

Excellent app. At last I have found an app that is easy to use, reliable and gives me all I want.

I only use gps as my course is very undulating, and susceptible to wind, so just using gps is ideal for me.

Very easy to change hole, yardage seems accurate, and works extremely well with the Apple Watch and I’m able to concentrate on my golf, not faffing about with an unreliable app. (Tried 3 apps and this is far and away the best).

Recently changed ability to put score in Iwatch

I’ve always promoted this as the best free app out there - especially to Iwatch wearers cos you could get yardage and enter scores on your watch.

I personally don’t mind having the yardage on my watch and now having to enter score on my phone as I’m happy to replace the scorecard with my phone- but I’m sure others won’t like it - and am certain other apps out there offer both.

Still a fan- would prefer to do both on watch but no biggie…. For me.

Need to look at my watch (not the app) to work out how I can keep the yardage up for longer before screen locks on watch…. Mildly frustrating now and assumed it’s my watch settings rather than the app but if you could advise I’d appreciate it!

Great for free

For free I would not complain! Used it for a couple of years when visiting different courses. It gives great distances and a slightly poor quality map of each hole which can be Changed to HD for a fee which is over priced hence why I still use the free version. I would be happy paying a one off fee? Instead of a monthly subscription. Recommend to a lot of my friends

Never had an issue…..

I’ve been using Hole 19 for a few years now after a recommendation and I’ve never had a problem with it. It works great with my Apple Watch 6 (and previously with the 2). The GPS works well - I often cross check with a playing partners range finder. The scoring feature is great and the data analysis is very useful. I gave it a good trial as the free version before upgrading. Highly recommended.

Watch feature

Great app for many reasons and very useful for the social side and in keeping up to date with your mates activity. Annoyingly with the latest update it is causing the holes to keep changing when using my watch, presumably down to the crown on the watch. I upgraded to premium to use the watch and now I feel this issue means I have to use the phone and put the watch away. I hope you can take this feedback away and improve the usability.

Exactly what I need

Absolutely perfect for what I need, I’m a mid handicapper who wants to get on with the round. With this app on my iPhone and Apple Watch I can do just this. Start the round on the phone, then I just use the watch, which gives me distance to front, middle and back of green. If I’m playing a new course, I will look at the phone to get the bird’s eye view. Everything I need to help me enjoy my round more and it’s absolutely free.

Whilst playing in a match an opponent suggested that I should investigate using this app……

I listened installed it and using this app has increased my enjoyment from playing the game considerably. The reason is that sprinkler tops indicate distance to the front of the hole, this app assists with identifying the distance to the flag, without finding a sprinkler then calculating the distance. Would I recommend it, “Yes, Indeed”

Good but missing some features.

This app is relatively easy to use and good for beginner or social golfers, but it lacks a few easy to implement features that would make it so much user friendly these include:

- Being able to “pick up” rather than finish a hole. This would make the users stats more accurate than having to create fake shots. For example when playing Stableford games and no longer able to score any points.

- Being able to do a two shot penalty. Social rules allow an OB shot to be dropped on the fairway instead or returning to place of the original shot.

- Being able to amend club names, for where overlap exists eg chipper, having a strong lofted clubs.

- Being able to edit the club used on previous saved shots without having to delete those you’ve hit subsequently.

If there is an app that offers these features, I’d suggest using those to save yourself some time.

I have used this app for years now and bought the premium version about a year ago. Every time I play I will always use it because I can see the yardage easily, distances to hazards and its easier to keep score with this than having to write on a little card. In competitions I do both because I have to do the card of course.

Love and hate this app

The GPS works well but scoring is terrible, if you want to add your scores in later forget about it.

The scorecard whilst you’re playing is so small it pointless, the support is terrible because if you want to ask support you have to navigate through a website that’s not responsive! Come on guys, a mobile app that doesn’t serve support on a mobile??

Make it easy to do the basics, so many other features a but it falls short on making it easy to score, review and get the answer easy somehow.

Excellent for seeing just how far or close you are around courses.

Ideal for viewing hole from each lie position.

Would be great to have more of the paid for items in the free version but hey that’s just me wanting more for free :)

Works perfect with iwatch which is really what I wanted it for, although do still need to use phone to log scores rather than via iwatch, that’s simply for yardages.

Only improvement I’d like to see is the ability to add in played rounds previously played when didn’t have phone or app with me …. For example, a week ago I didn’t have phone to log details in so want to do now but then date would be wrong and it would say I played that course today etc rather than being able to backdate the round.

Distance accurate; Watch battery drained

I thought I’d try this so I could use my watch for distance rather than phone. Option to use the phone for gps to save battery which seems a good idea. However with a fully charged phone and watch (se) after six holes my watch stated it was low on battery and needs to go into power saver mode. Very disappointed.

Rest of the round I used the phone which was accurate and clear.

Shame that considering it’s meant to use the phone for gps the watch can’t complete a round using this.

Excellent App

I have tried both the free and wearables options, if you solely want the GPS functionality then the free app is more than adequate at providing the distance and position on the course. I wanted a little more functionality so purchased the wearables option for IOS and my Apple Watch. After some initial setting up issues ( solved with the excellent support provided by the app team) the product worked very well and is definitely worth purchasing if you don’t want to go to the expense of a dedicated golf watch. If you are on the fence as to which app to download, then try this one first, I tried four different apps none of which provided the functionality that this app provided. Even the free version will give you all the basic distance and positioning information you will need. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Disappointed

I have been using this app for years(on free version) as I am able to play golf three of four times a year (wish I could do more). I found very good and used with Apple Watch for distance and scoring was great that only had to start the app on phone then leave it in pocket until end. But come to use it and found that this is now a In App Purchase. Thought OK (not happy) but developers have to make money even if they moving stuff to IAP. Then found when trying to do score on the phone EVERY time had to dismiss a pop up about scoring on watch with IAP. Very annoying (with ads between) holes as well! Now having to open the app the battery drain on the phone actually to that nearly run out and had to abandoned using the app after 12 hole. I always recommend this app to people who played golf before but now will definitely NOT now. As I only be able to play a few times a year it not worth to paying the IAP.

Maybe can do a one off (Green Fee) IAP that release all the features for a day because I would do that (see app Slopes: Ski & Snowboard as they do a “Single Pass” etc)

I do like this app more than its competitors for allowing you to add friends to your round easily. I understand they need to make money but as scoring on the Apple Watch is a free feature for their rivals I’m surprised this is part of the paid package for Hole 19. Above all the most annoying thing is the emails, they bombard you with endless spam emails, multiple emails a day, and when you unsubscribe they unsubscribe you from one very specific list, and continue to bombard you with emails regardless.

Happy so far

I have the basic package and it worked well first time out. The yardages were close to the cart GPS and when I hit decent approach shots the yardage seemed to stack up.

One complaint. I somehow missed a score on one hole but didn’t notice until later when I got the email of my round. There is now no way to go and edit the scorecard to reflect that score. Editing would be useful for idiots like me. That said I’ll be more careful for future rounds.

Paywall introduction

I used a GPS golf watch for years as there wasn’t anything available for my Apple Watch. Since using Hole 19, I’ve not gone back to it! Easy to use and accurate yardages which are within a couple of yards of my playing partners GPS watch.

Perfect for Covid-19 golf too, as scorecards are not being issued by our club for general play, so I score on the watch and download the resulting scorecard.

Shame that free features will now be charged from 2021 so will be deleting. Perhaps more of a tiered system would be more attractive rather than one charge for everything. Most of the features in the premium option are of no interest to me. I just want to know how far it is to the hole and to enter my score via my watch.

Excellent golf app

Been using H19 for a few years now, and have to say it’s great. I wouldn’t play a round without it. So easy to use, good mapping, accurate distances, etc. I use the free version as I don’t play that much — but what a resource! Even as a free app it’s incredibly valuable. Only once recently did I find the course stroke indices were out of date (the course changed them over the winter), but the guys at H19 immediately responded and updated them within a day. Can’t recommend it enough.

Perfect GPS system

My playing partners use there expensive Garmin GPS devices and I feel this is a far superior golf tool, enabling easy access to view distance to hazards (and to clear them!), as well as precise yardage calculations.

I sit my phone in my cup holder and have a great view of where I’m aiming.

Great record keeping for fairways, traps and putts, thus learning my areas needing improvement.

I can’t comment about Apple Watch (or other alternatives) as I have never needed to purchase one (or expensive garmin device), as I have this brilliant app on my phone !!!

FANTASTIC app for all standards of golfers.

Great App

I have tried a few other GPS apps but this is definitely the best. I haven’t bought the premium edition but simply because I don’t play enough. The free version is great. Very easy to use, very accurate as far as I can tell and most importantly doesn’t take away from why you went out to play 18 holes in the first place -to get away from everything and relax and enjoy! Scoring is easy and the analysis is all you need to see what’s good and bad about your game to help you improve. Thanks Hole19 exactly what I was looking for.

Makes scoring effortless

My fear with using an app was having to take my phone out every hole to record my score, but using this with my Apple Watch makes scoring a dream. A few taps of the wrist at the end of each hole and my score is set and it’s on to the next hole. Seems like a simple thing but it’s done very well. Also means not pulling out a scorecard and pencil every hole either. After playing a few rounds it’s awesome to reflect on your history of scorecards stores in the app.

Never worked correctly

Had about a dozen games using this app and everyone has been fraught with problems. These have ranged from a complete failure to working occasionally. Don’t waste money. I will not be renewing my account.

I’ve tried what I believe is every way to utilise this gps system with mixed results These range from complete failure to having to reset each hole as my game progresses. On one occasion it required a complete reset of my series 5 Apple Watch

Which helped but didn’t allow me to complete my game without having to advance each hole manually. Even then it does not move the distances as you approach the green and requires attention each and every shot. On top of this it drains the battery rapidly. We are only playing 15 holes on my course due to adverse ground conditions. I’m getting to the point that it is a huge distraction and I recently played an improved game by not using it. Sorry to be so negative in my review but my experience with a dedicated gps watch was so much better and will be next purchase. I find it hard to believe others are not having the same experience. I’m fairly savvy in technical terms but this has been an unpleasant and frustrating experience.

Works perfect with Apple Watch

Greatest golf app for iPhone. Really appreciate the user experience for Apple Watch, so easy to keep the scores.

Small suggestion: when the course is done and you have the screen popup for share, it would be nice to also have a 16:9 ratio not only 1:1. On socials most scores work well in the stories rather then in an actual post. Would love to see that feature.

Good but has its faults

First of all I must say I do like this app, its one of the easiest to use in my opinion and works great on my Apple watch. Potential is great and with a few tweaks this would be the number 1 golf app.

I have upgraded and this is where I feel disappointed. I play on a 9 hole course where you play on different tees on the back 9 which makes the course considerably different. Sadly Hole19 does not pick up hole 10 etc which means i cannot record shots, scores etc on my home course for a full game of golf. Another major fault is recently on away days the yardages have been 20-30yards out which is a massive problem. I had to constantly ask my playing partners to compare yardages and it was consistently out vs their gps devices and the courses 100 and 150 yardage markers.

Potential is there but after this year without these being fixed I will be cancelling unfortunately.

Just ok!

Hole 19 is a great idea, but in the end there’s just too much faff. I found taking my phone round in my pocket annoying for a start. Yes you can put it on your trolley, but what if you have a bag? If you forget to input after a shot then what, that’s easily done, especially on putts. Finally I’ve found it eats battery like you would not believe! (I do have an iPhone 5) so that might be my issue to be fair. It has also on occasion just stopped working half way through my round. Hole 19 is a good tool to use if you are in bounce games with friends and if you are strict about your inputs and don’t mind a bit of faff. For me though, you better off getting gap tested and buy a rangefinder. Then howdidido (club competition computer) will do it for you.

Great little app

I love this app. It’s so easy and simple to use. It’s definitely helped me lower my handicap because I now generally chose the right club as I know the distance.

Only down side is the Apple Watch I use with it sometimes doesn’t talk to my phone that well so I end up having to get my phone out of my bag every other hole and then have to restart it on my watch. Would be great if this Apple Watch sync issue could be fixed.

Nevertheless for free it’s great!

Matchplay on Apple watch

Love Hole19 can’t get enough of it, and from previous experience their customer service is excellent.

Guys at Hole19 just a small thing, when playing Matchplay could you please change it on Apple Watch to show 1up/1down or A/S etc instead of showing Stableford points. I don’t think people really need to know Stableford points when playing Matchplay. It annoys me I have to go to my phone to see the Matchplay score.

Easy 5 star

Been using the app for 12 months and updated to premium 3 months ago. Have not used any of the premium features since I got injured right after upgrading so cannot rate that. The free app itself is all you need. Connects great with Apple Watch and distances are spot on not more than a yard or two off compared to the range finder. What makes this the best of gps apps is the customer service side of it. Some changes with SI at my golf club which I emailed the developers about and within three days it was all up to date.

Nice app, but pricey for a beginner

I’m a complete amateur at golf, but wanted a better way of tracking scores than paper cards. I tried this app for the first time today and after a bit of time working out how it worked, it became pretty easy to use.

The biggest downside for me is the cost of the premium as I’d like to be able to use it with my watch. It’s great value if you play a few rounds a week, but I play once a month. Shame there’s not a cut down premium which activates the watch, but not the enhanced stats and features, which I’m sure would also be useful.

Another downside is that when you start a round it defaults to 18 holes. My friends and I only play 9 holes at the moment. Not a problem if we play the front 9, but I couldn’t see a way to skip the front 9 holes if we only play the back 9. It should be nice if it was selectable in the start round area: 18 holes - front 9 - back 9.

Final thing, there seems to be a bug. When you input anything into your bio, the app crashes.

I don’t want to sound like I’m putting people off, as I did find the app very useful.

Best Golf App

I’ve been using Hole19 for 2 years and I love it. It’s so easy to keep track of your score and get quick distance measurements. The Apple Watch integration was a game changer, meaning no faffing with your phone/range finder, just quick look on the watch and you’re away. I love being able to track my stats and scores over a period in the app so I know what to work on. All round a 5* app!

Good app, but annoying to use with iWatch 3-4

I really like this app, but I find its inability to use the GPS in my watch hugely irritating. I leave my phone in my bag and will often leave it in a convenient location and walk to my ball, at which point the yardage is incorrect as it’s using the phones gps. Apparently if I remember to start the app, start a round and then switch off Bluetooth from the settings menu (not the shortcut menu), it will use the watch’s GPS but then you can’t update your score in the phone from your watch!!! Such a simple problem to resolve but they seem more interested in new features rather than making an existing one work properly.

Unreliable

Despite excellent features and a great interface, the app is far too unreliable for what it is designed for. Each and every update seems to introduce more elaborate ways to try and convince you to upgrade to pro. But with the latest update, I used it during a round for my own score and it repeatedly ‘forgot’ hole scores I had entered. Twice I had to go back to the holes and re-enter the score. Even after saving the round, certain holes went blank and I had to ‘review’ to correct it. Hole 19 needs to focus on reliability first. This is not the first bug I’ve experienced. I will not trust the app to keep other peoples’ scores, and continue to fill out a paper scorecard just in case.

So easy to use!

Always found trying to sync my old gps unit to computer & finding/downloading the course I’m looking for not easy in fact frustrating!

This a very easy to use app, I’ve had it for about 6 months, amazing... turn up & just play!

Great to input your score & gets some stats, even just knowing how many putts in a game can be helpful.

Played a few medals with this app & I am sure it has saved me two strokes & this is on my local course!!!

Amazing app

Got this n thought it wouldn’t be that good turns out it’s the best golf related app I’ve ever used. Thanks to this app I don’t even need to use a scorecard anymore and this app records every score on every course so I don’t need to hunt a card if I want to beat my best score on a certain course. Also to the guy that said it’s missing a feature here’s an idea instead of leaving it in ur bag take it with u in ur pocket and get a correct reading !!

Missing one essential feature

This is app is by far my favourite of the golf apps - good looking and easy to use. It is let down by when using it in connection with a series 3 Apple Watch it still uses the phones GPS and not the watch’s GPS.

I leave my phone in my golf bag, and the need for it to use the watch’s GPS is essential. On my local golf course, I often have a walk to the hole and leave my bag near the tee for the next hole. This means it’s not giving me the actual distance from the hole (instead how far my bag is from the hole).

It would be great if Hole19 had a watch only feature that allowed me to start a synced course, play using my watch’s GPS and end a match without having to use my phone. Many running apps have achieved this, it would be great to see Hole19 have this feature too! Until then I’m still on the search for an app with this feature.

Only 2 things needed to make it perfect

Really good App. I do use other apps to stat track my rounds but use hole 19 in tandem with these because it’s quick and easy to get Fir and Gir as well as putts. The only thing that would make it perfect is the ability to filter rounds by year instead of last 5,10,20 so we can see the stats from 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The app also needs the ability to add text to the round titles so we can see what competition relates to the round at the moment it just shows the course if you could make these changes it would be the most perfect golf app ever made

I have used many golf apps and I have to say this is the best. It’s simple as you want with the ability to have more advanced. My only criticism is the tap reaction on the watch when adding your shots this is delayed or not sensitive enough to your touch, basically you have to keep hitting the + to register a score. Not a massive issue just a little frustrating and doesn’t spoil what you are using it for.

I have been using home 19 for a while now and think it’s great everything you need. Pre download your courses from home before playing to save time. I contacted them with regards my home course as we change it slightly in the winter by taking out 2 par 4s and putting in 2 par 3s once I sent them score cards etc it was done and added to the list of courses to be synced great job great app keep up the good work

Surprisingly good

I’ve used the Hole 19 app now for six months, on a number of courses throughout Kent, it does everything it claims; and for free too!

Tip - download new course while you are preparing at home, sometimes remote courses don’t have a very good mobile signal to download from. Downloads only take a few seconds with a reasonable WiFi.

The app also works very well with my IWatch too, what more do I need?
