Warning - double charges!

This app rarely works, it nearly always give an error seeing the booking can not be confirmed. But sometimes when it does that and you buy a paper ticket instead you later find that they actually charged you anyway so you have paid twice!!

Charge more than the terms & conditions say! AVOID

Used this a few times and did find it worked ok. However, the terms and conditions say they charge 10p for admin fee but they have taken £1.80 out of our account each time which we’ve just noticed when doing monthly finances! Daylight robbery. I have deleted the app and will be going to my bank and also contacting them about this. Do not use unless you are prepared to have them basically take what they want from your account!

This app is temperamental

I don’t normally write reviews but have tried quite a few parking apps around the country. This app by far is probably to worst.below are the problems with the app that I have experienced:

- sometimes the app looses its session. Meaning that it can find the parking place. Yes, I am on 4G and full bars. But let’s be honest even on 3G it should work and not just time out the session.

- remembering past locations. This again looks like it’s loosing its memory. Checking my phone to make sure the physical device has plenty it’s the first thing I did. So it clearly the poor quality of the app. Ps I have an iPhone 8, so it not down to a crappy phone.

- making payments. Sometime, more often then I would like. The solution doesn’t seem to recognise a valid card and then after a few goes it using the same card it then works, clearly the backend payment engine needs a lot of work.

- finally the payment amount itself. In the app I get charged an additional 20p, admin charges I get it makes sense. However, in my receipt via email I am being chard an additional 40p and I can see the new amount of £8.40 being taken out in my statement. This by far it totally unacceptable and I am sure that 1 the company are not updating the app and robbing people. Granted it only 40p but thing about it. If you are selling something for a price and then you charge the customer more afterward, that customer will come back and ask for their money back. I’m also certain that this way of processing payment goes against APAC standards...

Absolute rubbish!! Doesn’t work

I would give it 0 stars if it were possible. The iPhone app doesn’t work most of the time, and when it does, you aren’t able to see your current session so can’t extend the time. Contacted developers, but they are less than interested as they are still making money from texting you when you have to then pay by phone - which also takes an age.

Hmmm

Easy to pay for parking, never had issue with that BUT you get charged 20p for using the app and then there’s hidden charges that you’re not told about! For example, you get text to say about parking and the. Another to say it’s ending.....you actually get charged 10p per txt!! So my 60p parking turned into £1.00 every time, you have to opt out of txts but it’s not mentioned at all wen you start up or before you pay!!

This is so unreliable. We don’t use cash in our business so this is the solution but spend so much time waiting for the app to actually work to put money on. Doubt these will want to pay our fines!!!!

Appalling

This app is awful!

There is an additional charge on top of what is advertised.

What comes out of your bank account however is completely different!!

40p an hour, charged 12p for process, fine agreed to 52p total.

What was actually taken out of account was 71p! This is stealth charging and not what I agreed to! I wouldn’t use this ever again. DO NOT USE!!!

No communication

I’m not happy with this app or indeed the parking company. I got confusing reminders to pay I did not need so I ended up overpaying. There is no way to communicate with anyone as no one responds to the phone number given or email. I was forced to use their car parking service in a town I didn’t know while dashing to catch a train when all other car parks were full. So not a good experience in any way.

Shame you are forced to use apps when the machines break or only accept coins. No card.

To then be charged an extra 40p for the tickets and you try and send an email receipt but it just says failed try again.

Absolute rubbish app don’t feel safe using it. Fix this rubbish

DO NOT USE! SCAMMERS!

Do not use this parking ‘app’ or anything associated with this company - over two months ago I was charged twice for parking, and they have responded to no calls or emails. I’m going to trading standards to try and get this resolved. I’ve also asked for receipts as these have disappeared off the app and they say that ‘emailing receipts isn’t working at the moment’ - how hard is it to email a receipt?! Park somewhere else, do not give these pirates your money or your card details - they cannot be trusted. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!!!

On a £1 car parking ticket they make it clear they are charging 20pence and showed the total coat as £1.20 yet they charged me £1.40.

This app should never have got approval from the app store due to its scam like methodology of adding extra charges!!!

Total rip off

I was going to use this app because I’ve just paid a £2 coin into there machine for up to 1 hr this cost £1.50 up to 2 hrs cost £2.50 so I was expecting some change, nope no 50p was given and it says nothing about using exact amount.

Even the board on the wall right in front of me says nothing about change, but I can use an app.

Now based off this other review I will give that a miss, I’ve already wounded why this car park is never full.

Now I think my car needs a good clean out so I’m leaving all the rubbish on floor, I have 4 kids so there’s quite a lot.

Great app for commuters

Great app for daily commuters. Yes they charge 20p per transaction but if you use a council car park everyday to commute via train or work locally it is really worth it to avoid having to faff around with change every day. Also VAT invoice available at a touch of a button

Continual error messages on the app - couldn’t pay

Text system told me I couldn’t renew - I wasn’t trying to renew!!

Phone auto service would not register my card number - every time it read it back to me it had either missed or swapped digits!!

So they’d better hope I don’t get a bloody ticket!!!

Rubbish

Not happy with this app at all. I thought it would make paying for parking easier, it doesn’t!! Hardly ever works and if I don’t have any change I’m stuck. I don’t get email receipts (I previously did, this has now stopped) so I can’t claim any parking back when I use it as work expenses. When parking a full day they charge £4.20, multiply this a few times a week and I’m paying out for work parking that I can’t even claim back. I previously had a problem when registering my card. It wouldn’t delete an old expired one and kept inputting some random card number that wasn’t even mine and then saying it’s not valid. It’s such an infuriating app. Has the potential to be so much better, which is a shame. The contact number is also useless, tried phoning on several occasions and it just doesn’t work. PLEASE sort this app out as when it does actually work it’s so much more convenient as I rarely have change on me

This app is useless compared to some of the other parking apps. VAT receipts do not get emailed through no matter how many times you press the button and check your email address is right. I’ve now got god knows how much parking I can’t claim back for because of this junk excuse for an app. It would be less stress parking on double yellows with the hazards on, that’s how infuriating this app is!

Shocker of an App, website and phone service

I’ve not been compelled to write an app review before but I am staggered that our local council wastes taxpayer money on this company/service. I’d give it zero stars if that was an option.

Trying to book parking today is impossible:

1) The app crashes every time I try to book

2) The website isn’t showing any duration values in drop down so can’t get to final step

3) tried three phone numbers on the shocking phoneandpay website - none work

After just going ahead with book online with zero duration I received a text message saying booked but with no expiry.

Amateurs.

Buggiest IOS app I have ever used

This application is barely functional. Tried to use it twice but both times was unable to to pay for parking because It either crashes while adding a vehicle or because the payment won’t go though because of an unspecified error. When an error occurs it prompts you to call a number that doesn’t work.

I don’t want to get carried away but the people responsible for this application should be publicly executed.

Shockingly bad. Completely incompetent system

Basically this failed to take my booking despite telling me my session had started. Found out an hour later that it hadn't taken payment so I have a fine to look forward to ( which I will fight) and so tried again and followed the instructions again only to find no payment was taken 3 hours later. Forking great! Programmed by idiots on a budget. Park elsewhere is my advice.

No good if it doesn’t work

Was using this app until recently - although very crude and badly designed it did the job. I recently received a replacement debit card and the app won’t let me update it - I have entered the correct data several times, and tried using different issue numbers (although my card does not have one!), but the last 4 digits displayed after pressing Submit bear no resemblance to the card number I entered. Try to use it for payment and it throws up an error. I now have to call the number to pay. Anyone else had same issue?

Poor

App is constantly crashing leaving you no option but to pay with coins at the site or call them which is a long process then when you get through customer service is dreadful. Also I require receipts for parking for my company I haven’t had a receipt come through for the last 3 months despite being part of the service that they email it to you immediately. After numerous calls all I get is we are having trouble with the email receipts. Just pay by coins it’s easier!!

Go get some change!

The councils who have ‘adopted’ this app don’t actually use it. You will most likely get a parking ticket is you use the app - you’ll then have to get an email receipt from the company (which doesn’t work on the app) and appeal the parking charge yourself. Don’t waste your time, just get some change.

I have been using this service to park in Milton Keynes for 30mins and still not sure if I have paid for parking. If I got a ticket for not paying, I’ll be providing some evidence that I’ve tried but in vain.

Turn off SMS in the settings!

Make sure you turn of the SMS reminders and confirmations before paying for your parking otherwise you’ll be charged extra for them! Should be asked this at the beginning of the app and not have to change in the settings.

Absolutely disgusted and surely cannot be legal

The parking for 1 hour was 70p yet I have been billed £1.10 and have no way of unsubscribing from this company - they have my personal and payment details and I cannot delete my account.

You download the app to pay the parking. Nowhere does it say that you are charged 20p each time you pay by app - certainly not in the car park and not on the app until you've entered all the details and hit confirm. Then you're billed for 2 text messages at another 20p for them to send you the text that is your only evidence of paying to park and for them to remind you to leave.

At no point are you told you are legally bound by terms and conditions. When I found them in the app they are unreadable - super tiny print that you have to zoom into and push left and right - you can't keep track of where you are to read the next line down, so none of it makes sense and there is too much to read in only 1 hour.

I feel I've been robbed. I can't believe that it is legal for them to take more than the advertised parking fee and with no notice they will take additional costs until after they've done it. Even when I figured out they had auto subscribed me to text fees the app keeps pushing pop up messages saying I will deeply regret unsubscribing. I feel bullied. App is deleted but I fear there is some monthly subscription I can't figure out how to get out of that will just keep taking my money.

Took about 3 years to set up my payment!!!!

I’ve never come across such a rubbish app. Kept telling me something was invalid, and when I went back a step it had accepted the information or choice. Incredibly slow. Absolute rubbish!

Payment details just doesn’t work

The app worked fine originally until my card expired. When I’ve tried entering my new one, as soon as I press submit, it shows a card with different numbers! Tried deleting the app, trying again etc. Nothing works. Tried ringing the number that pops up but they were closed during weekends. Utter garbage

I have set this up several times. Changed payment details, spoken to them on the phone (when they bother to answer) it never accepts my payment card and never gets the right location. Hopefully Exeter will get a decent payment provider some day.
