I love every aspect
All of this game is beautifully created from the graphics to the gameplay. One of the best aspects of each are the graphics being PS4 grade and the gameplay being fast paced but strategic. Been ( mostly) enjoying this game for the past 5 years but the greed of the developers is absurd to say the least! Last season my game was updated and since has not worked correctly, after contacting customer care and doing everything they suggested my game still remains working but not resolved! Anyway the one good reason to stick with the game was the season tokens which were introduced and meant you could actually upgrade etc… The new update is useless season tokens are gone the game is fully P2W the overclock feature is pointless and many players are abandoning the game????!!! Nice graphics and decent gameplay are ruined by greed

Minor glitches in multiplayer
This game is th best game I have ever played and it is almost perfect! Almost. You see, I have sometimes had issues with claiming multiplayer packs and I have been put as crashed when I went off a ramp landed on allowed path and not touched anything airborne and it unreasonably crashed. Jus fix multiplayer and it will never be deleted

Tried to move from pc to iPad
The game starts and automatically sets an ID.
My apple account email is the same as my pc login, BUT OH NO THEY want to create a new user I’d, the lack of intelligence in this game app is a joke, it should have identified the email and brought my existing game up. Very disappointing.
I wanted to refresh so I could try later and fix it.

Too easy, they deleted all the best controls and added touch play which makes the game too easy. The graphics and gameplay is awesome, but why add automatic steering? All a player has to do is tap on the screen without being able to drive.

Hello everyone, Im writing this review to give all the players heads up before they download this game, I came here as I spent lot of time on Asphalt 8 as kid hoping this would be the updated version of it but I was wrong, Ill give positives and negatives of the game
Positives:
1. Amazing Graphics
Negatives
1. You can’t finish all the missions as they require a specific car that is only unlock-able by getting blueprints - the issue with this is there are always few missing and there is no way for you to get them (even if you consider paying real money which I did, there is no way forward so you get stuck eventually) I tried reaching customer support to give me solutions - they don’t care
2. No matter how fast car you buy if you manage to not get stuck - the police cars are always faster than you knocking you out (I love how realistic is when a Lambo driving 250mph gets caught up by a Honda police car that in real life goes no more than 120mph)
3. The cars have fuel usually 5 or 6 and takes 3h to recharge so you can only play a max of 6 missions (10mins) every 3h with the same car
4. As you progress forward the missions are requiring a specific Rank that a car has so if you don’t have that you are getting stuck again which implies that you can be the most skilled driver in this game, the actual game will give you no space for progression
In conclusion, don’t waste your time on this game you will be totally disappointed!
For the guys in charge
- delete the blueprints
- fix the police cars
- make the cars buyable with coins that are earn by missions or even real money if you are after that
- and employ more people on customer services or give clear instructions on how this game can be played

My experience on playing this game for 6 month is clear: it is fun and annoying. The fun bit about the game is that you have events, career, multiplayer, seasonal event and much more to play in this game! It is fun! (Bye the way there is much more). However, there is a dark side to the game. While it is fun and takes your time, it is known by players as Pay 2 Win or P2W. The game has a legend pass for up to $€£10. It is absurd. The legend pass gives you cars which lets you compete events. Now you might think, don’t buy it and do the event the hard way. The game is built on events using the legend pass. People who want to play the game without spending are having a hard time. Gameloft says it is trying to keep stuff balance. In the past they didn’t. But now they are doing a good job of that promise. Customer care is a 5 star. By the way, this review was based on community thoughts and opinions. No hate to anyone!

This is possibly the best game I ever played! Asphalt 9 was way better than I expected. There are only 4 things I would like: 1. Add more cars. Pretty obvious right?
2. Turn down the age rating on App Store to 9+ instead of 12+. Years n my opinion, all of the game is suitable for anyone over 9+. 3. It should take less battery when you play. I am using an iPad 7th generation and I can’t charge while playing. And lastly, it should take less data. It takes up 3 and a half gb which looks enormous. But that is a tiny amount compared to csr2 which takes up a massive 6 gb! Otherwise, brilliant.

Awesome game!
Most features of this game is 5stars, however there are some things that drag it down.
1. Sometimes when there’s an update the game will crash within the first 10 seconds of loading. I updated the game a week ago and have not been able to play since. This has happened 3 times since I got the game a few months ago.
2. Their customer service is slow and it’s hard to report a problem, both in-game and via their website. The experiences I’ve had with customer service have also been pretty poor, not because they didn’t know how to solve a problem - it just felt like they didn’t care.
3. There are a lot of bots on the game. Multiplayer is not always the worst offender.
4. While you can take the time and earn the good cars and star them up by playing a little each day, it’s hard to ignore that the game wants you to spend ridiculous amounts on unlocking cars that don’t give you an edge in gameplay, but it’s a famous model of a famous make - so $$$. So I can’t even say this game can be played as pay to win.
None of these are intended to put people off the game, it’s just something to be aware of before you download/purchase anything.
Overall, the game has beautiful graphics, plenty to do, great maps and keeps up to date with frequent prizes/events and new content.
Now I just need to wait for a new update so I can resume playing!!!

Way too many ads in the game
I played for 1 - 2 weeks. The game is actually really fun and interesting but about 40% of my time whilst playing the game I was watching ads. I’m not taking about the forced ads which aren’t really much, I’m talking about the ads at the end of a race to get 3x the reward, the ads to refuel a car after 6 uses of it which only get longer the more you advance in class, the ads for free car blueprint packs and the ads to regain daily event energy. If you play casual then you don’t feel obligated to watch these, but if you want to be somewhat competitive then you don’t have a choice but to watch the many many ads because there will be some people who don’t mind them. I wanted to be somewhat competitive but that led to me getting bored and frustrated and eventually quitting the game.

Just don’t waste your time with this rubbish.
No denying it is gorgeous, and that’s where the praise ends.
Career mode.
Starts well, you get guaranteed cars for completing chapters, BUT, before long you find you can’t, why? Because certain races require specific cars, which you can’t get, either a) they’re specific event cars or b) they’re premium, or c) both.
This gets worse when some event cars you can’t even get as premium, thus you can’t complete the race.
Online mode.
This is just broken. Totally and utterly.
The match making is a farce, again, starts well, then you get thrown against cars so ridiculously more powerful you’re lucky to finish second to last, OR, hackers.
Online mode is rife with them.
Online is simple, it’s in leagues, each league has a maximum class car eg Bronze = D Class, Silver = C Class, etc, but, I’ve lost count of the times I’ll try to start a match, matchmaking finishes and there’s at least one, normally more from a Class ineligible for that league, then they just vanish into the distance.
Then you’ll randomly have a “weak connection” during the race to foul you up, even when you have a great connection.
This game is just completely broken and Gameloft have shown no interest in sorting it.
Just don’t waste your time with it, unless you just want to look at the graphics.

Used to really like this game but it’s becoming a joke now, as u need keys to play races a lot now, it’s a rip off as you have to spend quite a bit of money to get a car some packs are between £45 - £90, and I’ve spent quite a bit of money on this game as I enjoyed it but not spending a penny more , plus fed up spending money and getting cards for cars I’ve already got,wouldn’t recommend this game anymore and might delete it completely, had enough, and also the season challenges are a joke as you’ve got to have 2-3 stars on a car to complete them and if you want to star up you gotta spend spend spend

I’ve played this game for 4+yrs for over 2 of those yrs I only do daily requirements & that’s it, I only play due to force of habit, They have put this game across so many platforms it takes a month+ for them to reply to a complaint, It’s not like I’m at the other end of the solar system, That’s so u forget about your complaint & just accept it, I spent 58k tokens in one go & the blue prints I got were of cars I’d already maxed or cars that required a key which I didn’t have so got nothing out of 58k tokens, That’s not just unlucky It’s obvious the game is corrupt they treat players like cash cow’s then screw them over so they spend more, Another bad flaw in the game that support keep denying is the difference between Manual & TD they are so far apart it’s ridiculous, I use a controller & putting it on manual makes car slower than TD & hackers in the game can’t be stopped, They keep putting messages up about how many were removed this season but they just come straight back in under a different account the following season, I was asked to join a Chinese hackers crew & download software that ment my cars raced while I slept, You couldn’t make this stuff up, Typical Chinese they feel they are above the law & untouchable, The game got 1* & I felt that was being generous, I’m guessing as this review is full of negative’s it won’t see the light of day.

An Honest review of this game.
As an asphalt 8 veteran and fan, I was very excited to play this game when it first came out. But If I’m honest, I strongly believe that Asphalt 8 was better! The maps felt more ambiguous and crazy (but I’ll admit, the Himilayas maps in this are awesome! 🤩) and the cars felt more - how should I say it? - ferocious and wild. I mean come on! A8 had an F1 and motorcycles! But on the positive side; the customisation in this is amazing! And I really love some of the cars you are able to unlock in this game! I’m not so much of a fan of the fact that you need cards to unlock cars and level them up (don’t worry, upgrades still are payed with credits) but I can look past that. I also like that in A9 the maps will sometimes change which adds even more uncertainty to the race and it’s fate. All in all, a decent game but I still prefer its predecessor. Would still recommend!

Great game great graphics cool tracks Basically they are the improvements but considering the standard asphalt 8 gave us this game is falling behind First of all you should have more control over the track for example there was a 3D Touch feature in asphalt 8 I really want back Second I hate the blueprint idea I mean it’s not bad but you should be able to buy cars for coins and tokens again as well as blueprints And wish this game could do more with coins as this is quite dull Please take this into consideration and fix this amazing game. The players in the game get knocked out, they somehow catch up with lightning speed so no matter how many players you knock out and overtake, one is bound to overtake you, you will never have a unanimous lead, this makes it frustrating especially in the later seasons, Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, the graphics are among the best, miles out of their park, the physics in the cars are great and animations well done, every step of this game is refined, the system however less enjoyable than before, a great game executed to perfection but lacking the system of asphalt 8

Positive reasons why Asphault is good
When I first downloaded this (which was only 2 days ago) I was expecting a bit of lag, but when I actually started playing it, 10/10 MAN! Ok, don’t get me wrong, it almost kicked me out but I am fine with that. I lately joined a club and, well I don’t know how... But I got over 400K credits!
On the other hand, Gameloft needs to work on the way the cars are actually represented, e.g: ok, you see a BMW Z4, and when I play asphalt, the car seems as fast as a F1 car! When I look at the speed, I mean, over 200MPH! If you ask me, a Z4 can go up to 140mph to 150mph! That’s still quick, but it is not realistic to have a 260mph BMW Z4, same with the Mitsubishi Lancer! Same speed.

A serious game changer for multiplayer
Ummmm... there are a lot of changes that need to be fixed. So when I won 3rd and got 20 points UP not DOWN it took 20 away like I lost. Also talking about loosing, when I place 8th place I loose all my points so this is the real game changer. Can You make the rewards for winning more better cause when I get 1st place I only get 45 points and I’m in bronze league so it dosent help. And when I get the 45 points and I win again it takes away 45 points and I haven’t got over 1080 points so i never have got to silver leauge and it dosent help like I just said. ALSO I have done the challenges to actually get the Lamborghini asterion that u get from the challenges you complete. And I can’t use it in anything ,not even in my career and pls see this cause I CANT DEAL WITH DOING ALL THE WORK AND NOT EVEN GETTING TO USE THE CAR! To many adverts I’m sick of it
Don’t get me wrong I love this game, the graphics are great and the carrier is fun but you only get 4 races per car before you have to refill the car. To refill the car you need to either pay 150 A points which are hard to obtain or watch over 10 adverts all 30 seconds long which you can not skip. if you choose to not refill the car you normally have to wait 3 hours before you can drive it again. It would be fine if there were less adverts or if you could drive the car more but when you keep failing the same race over 4 times it can be extremely annoying and unmotivating. It’s also impossible to obtain new cars outside of the carrier mode, this is because you can’t just buy cars you have to unlock them by gaining cards normally 30 to 50 of them before you can unlock the car. This can be frustrating as it shows cars in the trailer such as the Bugatti Chiron or Lamborghini centenario but you can’t unlock them. You can buy individual cars but they cost £99 for one god dam car. At least some are discounted by 60 percent.

The AI has issues but great game
Great game it’s just that my car for some reason drives into trains walls parked cars/truck/buses a lot especially when the bot cars are the same lvl as my car they tend to hit me in the wrong place for example when I want to go on the dirt road the bots push me in to the main road and my car gets stuck on like barriers and I have to reset the race (I’m not sure if it’s intentional for the AI to do this but running straight into a train without using the nitrous AND without the AI is definitely not intentional. Also this glitch only happens when I start close to the tracks by the way).Overall great game if you fix that, the game would be even better.

Worth it great car racing game you won’t regret
I have played this game over a number of years and even without paying its an amazing game with great graphics. Been okay playing this pre and post lockdown and the games has just been getting better. It looks like a lot of time and investment is being made as this year the Asphalt team are celebrating 20 years making these types of games. They always have great offer to improve you cars £\$0.99 makes it worth while. Be the judge of this games yourself. If you like car racing games try it for a month and if you end up loving it write a review your own thoughts. As for me I will continue to enjoy this game. I do have a question for the team if this can be played on Xbox or PS5?

Good
I had difficulty at first as the handling is very different to Asphalt 8, but once you get better cars they are easier to manoeuvre. Multiplayer isn’t based on vehicle rank like A8, but your reputation level. This means you could be racing players with maxed out cars while yours is hardly upgraded at all. Has loads more content then A8 so you won’t get bored as quickly, and Gameloft may be adding more. Keep an eye out for bargain deals, cos I managed to get 30 Aston Martin Vulcan blueprints (you need 45 to get the car), 250,000 credits and 150 tokens for just a pound! A good game with exceptional graphics, awesome cars and plenty of content. Multiplayer is a bit pay to win tho :( Would recommend this to anyone who like racing or just cars in general. 👌🏻

Gets boring
I have 300 tokens, 800k credits and 20 cats (*cars), but the game has become repetitive.
Haven’t played for a bit. Multiplayer has become really unfair, cuz in every lobby there’s some guy with a maxed-out chiron (comparatively) and he wins by five minutes. Please bring back the old multiplayer from asphalt 8 where it matched u by ur car rating instead of ur elo.
Also, in some career races, I have a car higher than the recommended rating, and I still lose after trying 3 times (it’s not that I’m just bad at driving).
That’s all I have to say. 🙂
PS: why are so many people skipping the tutorial and thinking you can only drive with touchdriive and that there are no Manual controls?

Game killing updates
Asphalt just released the worst update by changing the multiplayer feature and screen which was absolutely unnecessary. You couldn’t see the MP points gain in races and the amount of points you had as a result of the update, after facing some backlash they let us see the the points gain/lost however its on one corner of the screen so you will barely see it ever if you do notice but while you can barely see that you will definitely see the winner and his car as it is slapped on you face. Garbage rewards on the mp as you work hard to get to the legend league just to get 2 blueprint of cars. It completely discourages players to play the MP at all. Also its very hard to climb mp chart as if you get to 5th out of 8 you will lose about 10 points and if you get 8th then you lose about 45 points. If you wanna get your league upgraded then as you approach near that league you get matched up against opponents with cars one class higher that yours so its next to impossible to win or get within top 3 so system itself is very bad. And the MP main page just leaves even more of a bad taste in the mouth. The American season total crap.
Its as if they are actually trying pretty hard to kill the game. Oh also the new mp after the crap update is now Slipstreams which is arguably the WORST mode in the game. So thanks I hate it.

Asphalt 9 is fine
I like asphalt 9 I play it when I am bored and it kind of helps.. but I don’t like it too much because this game is pretty much the reason of how it killed asphalt 8. But other than that this game is pretty fine I like it. I call it the next generation of racing games! But GameLoft please stop ruining asphalt 8. Listen to your community for once. But there’s no point advertising asphalt 9 on asphalt 8 because most people don’t have a good device or a apple device or what ever it’s required to play this game. So GameLoft please listen to your community and fix things up for a change I know it might be way too late to change since the fan base has decreased so much but if you changed and let both Asphalt 8 and 9 I’m sure the fan base might come back.

A pretty good game
I think this game is one of the best racing games out there. The graphics are amazing and the cars are too. The level of detail is incredible. However, the locations are very repetitive and the cars are hard to upgrade. It is very frustrating because I can’t win a particular race, due to my car being a low level. And this means I get no money, resulting in not being able to upgrade it. Another huge issue is that it won’t work on my iPhone. I have tried to download it three times and it never loads. But it works on my pc which is a strange issue. Please fix it! But overall, this game is really fun and ahead of its game!

Good but
This game is good it has brilliant graphics brilliant cars but there is one problem since its update lately it has been crashing on any devices that run on IOS12 I'm unsure why and this is what frustrates me because every time your either in the middle of the race the game crashes or either just at then end and your going to the rewards screen and it crashes i don’t know why I just wish this could be fixed perhaps maybe the graphics are too strong on such devices if it is that please reduce them its a brilliant game either way just please fix this problem myself and probably others running on this IOS really want to play it again and not have to worry about the game crashing thanks.

It looks SUPER DUPER good but a bit upsetting
I really like how it looks and that’s why I rated it 5 stars because I’m not on the negative side and, yeah. I was excited to play before it took 5 mins to download. After that, it looked like it was ready to play when it took another 2 mins to download. Finally, the downloading bit was finished, phewww. Then i was ready to play the game and I was still excited to play, buuuuuuuuuut the excitement ended when it got to the point where they asked me how old i was to play the game. Now I know the game is for 12+ years and over, and I’m 9 turning 10 soon and I think that you could maybe change that pleeeease cause most racing games are suitable for probably MYYYYY age and up. So when I typed in I was 9, it came up that in the uk (which is where I live), the game ain’t appropriate for my age. And the excitement ended there. And oh, by the way, I love how the cars look too.

Good but a few issues 😬
So the game is great, but the career part of the game at first is confusing. I like that you crash the cars you are racing and that makes it easier to catch up with the top three, this I where I go on to the point of catching up. I particularly like that the game can go anywhere e.g you can be last place but still come first this I like but has a flaw. One of the flaws is that if you are first it is pretty much impossible to hold that lead unless your really good at the game (which I don’t think I am) so the idea of catching up can be quite annoying. Apart from that catching up is a good part of the game. I don’t know but I think the boost is a pretty unique part of the game (I don’t know If it is because this is pretty much the only racing game I play) i like that if you press the boost button when it is on the purple area or blue you can go quicker than the normal by boost does. Apart from these issues this is a great game and I highly recommend getting it and I hope🙏☹️ this review helped.😁😁😀😀😃

Best mobile racing game no question
This game combines great graphics with fast paced energetic gameplay while running smoothly on my device. One thing that strikes this game out from the rest is its amzing soundtrack that plays in and out of races. It suits the game perfectly. When i am playing I feel as if I am playing Need for speed on my console. When I initially downloaded the game I expected an annoying multiplayer and pay to win mechanics. Instead I got an expansive career mode which while doesnt offer much of a Narrative is encouraging to keep playing. I then found special events which gave me a storyline not too deep to understand. All in all this is a terrific game (with a soundtrack that i love) and sometimes I find myself confused how this is a mobile game not a console game. The fact that it is FREE is more the reason to get it. Had it not been free i would not have downloaded it but now I would be willing to spend around £10 on a game of this quality 👍👍👍

Multiplayer cheaters ruin it
I’ve had enough of this game now because of the rampant cheaters in multiplayer and I’m deleting it . The designers know full well about the cheaters and who’s doing it but won’t do anything to stop it so it absolutely ruins what could be a good game and makes it totally pointless playing multiplayer because you’ll just end up with one or two muppets in nearly every race that because they can’t drive properly resort to cheating . There’s no point in spending any actual money to upgrade cars because the cheaters still leave you for dead and instant respawn if they crash , that’s if they are actually visible at all , sometimes you can be right on the bumper of the winning car and still come last . If anyone doubts what I’m saying just google asphalt 9 cheaters and see just how big of a problem it is and how the designers are doing absolutely nothing about it , probably in the hope of getting gullible people to spend real money on upgrading cars in the hope that it will help them beat the cheating scum

Good but not perfect
There is no disputing that Asphalt 9 is a great looking game and has much to recommend it. The single player ‘My Career’ is good but progression is slow as you try to upgrade the vehicles many of which have final stats that are too low to be of any use. The real issue comes with multi-player, particularly the series challenges which hang on the specs of your vehicle. To win you must have the best car but this is limited to the vehicles in your garage which depends on your career progression. Skill and ability are not a factor in this game, just having the best cars ,most probably helped by spending real money is a must. It is also clear that there are players that are hacked and are therefore cheating. Just played a daily event - gamescom - which has a fixed vehicle of a Maserati Alfieri which you can upgrade. First race I played with the vehicle with no upgrades. Then I did a massive upgrade which made no difference to my time or my placing of last. Infact in each and every race I came last and by some distance. Even when taking my rivals out they still tore past me and beat me by a country mile!
I have looked at other reviews many of which are very poor. These seem to be kept relatively discreet. I wonder why? The only plus is that I have not spent a penny on this game!

Need local multiplayer and offline play
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game. Have been playing since it first released on the App Store and apart from the minor lack of anti aliasing it looks BEAUTIFUL!
However, when going on the bus and away from WiFi I cannot play! I understand that the game needs the connection to stop the player from changing the local time on their device to skip timed events etc. But this always connected approach may not be necessary in a free play mode. I would love a quick solo race mode like on asphalt 8 where you can adjust the difficulty, map and gamemode. In this free play mode you wouldn’t get any money or tokens and would be able to race purely for the fun of it.
My other main feature missing from asphalt 8 was the local multiplayer over wifi. I would love to be able to race against my friends on asphalt 9.
Everything else is fabulous: from the graphics to the gameplay to the controls. This is one of the best free games on the AppStore.
Finally, I absolutely love free cam modes in games where you can watch a replay of a game and take some really cool photos. I think there should be some options for filters, green screen, hide boosts and a true free cam mode so you can lock it to the landscape rather than the car itself. Rocket League has a perfect example and I think it would allow for some really awesome montage videos to introduce even more players to this amazing game.

Asphalt 9: An honest review from an Asphalt 8 veteran.
To be extremely honest, Asphalt 8 is better than Asphalt 9. In Asphalt 8, you are completely free to control your vehicle. Even though you are free to control your car in Asphalt 9 with pro controls, you are still more restricted than in Asphalt 8. Take ramps, for example. In Asphalt 8, you can maneuver your car just right to easily trigger barrel rolls on flat spin ramps and things like that (unlike Asphalt 9). Another matter to take into consideration is the multiplayer system. In Asphalt 8, the players you were matched up with is dependent on the current rank of your vehicle. In Asphalt 9, however, it is dependent on your reputation level and league. Looking at the positive side,(like almost all the other reviews have) the graphics, vehicles, and tracks are all good, but maps with cool mechanics like sector 8 were removed, which is still nice because it also makes Asphalt 9 different to Asphalt 8. I know that the multiplayer system was made to benefit those who paid when they started the game so that Gameloft got more money. This system is also in the game because in the lobby it says, “Win your first cars in career. Use them in events to earn credits, upgrade them and dominate multiplayer.” So basically in Asphalt 9 you’re supposed to complete career before you start multiplayer. Which again was not the case in Asphalt 8.

Fun to play. Kicked off game too often
Asphalt 9 legends is a great game. There is various content to be played and is quite addicting to the new comer. However I have been kicked off of the game 3 times now and I downloaded the game yesterday. I would have thought they would have fixed this as the game launched a while ago. Never the less this is no reason to stop playing in my opinion, the game is still a great pass time game for me personally but for some people who downloaded the game to play constantly I can see this bug being an irritating problem. 4 Stars from me because of this problem. 5 Stars for gameplay and content. Great graphics and various cars and upgrades to chose from.

Asphalt 9,an honest review
Excellent game,BUT in the last two weeks I’ve been kicked out of the app near on one hundred times. This means me and my club lose points,my standing is also effected and I still lose fuel cells. I don’t mind not doing great in every race,you win some you lose some right? I DO mind losing. WHEN ITS DOWN TO games loft errors. Instead of showing off all your new features,first try to fix the problems that exist. Not to sound like a moaner,but it’s not fair that us racers lose because of software errors that have gone unchecked in favour of new features. I love this game,but as with Bethesda...I’m losing faith real fast. Yesterday,28 times I got booted out of the app,half of those races I was doing well and one race I was due to beat my own record. As it stands,I should be near on in platinum league. Due to these boot outs,I’m lucky I’m even in gold league. Any wonder half of my own team half left. As a side note,it’s not my connection as it is only this game that does it. Sort the errors out game loft,you should be and can be better than you are!!!

SORT OUT THE MATCHMAKING GAMELOFT
yes I did manage to get through the first three leagues but when I was in the platinum league it turns out it has been nothing worth but losing every single race. In the next update, match make the players with the same car rank not with the same player rank because I am currently racing with players with too high car ranks. I was 1000 car rating points behind them! So start changing the matchmaking and do what I have asked. Remember, it’s the car rank and not the player rank. Apart from that, the game is still good with the graphics. You also need to increase the FPS for Caribbean races because when I go into the beach it lowers. So fix that issue and that matchmaking as well.

My review
Hi! This game is amazing. The graphics are awesome considering it’s a free game. I’ve enjoyed playing it a lot. Much better than the previous game. However, my reason for choosing 4/5 stars is because I wish to play this game on different devices with all my progress saved when I play it on a different device (e.g laptop/PC, mobile or IPad/Tablet). I also believe this would be a good idea because your data wouldn’t need to be saved in the cloud and you could perhaps use accounts for the game- so you could log into your account with a different device and all your progress would be there. I hope that this will be added in the future or perhaps the next upcoming update; I believe this would be a great idea to add to the game. Astounding
This is the driving game I’ve been looking for glad somebody finely has the controls and format right for once.
Shame you can’t play it offline or on a poor signal not sure why it’s needed so I can’t complain too much would’ve loved to play this on the train etc

Just progressed further in the game now and have unlocked some better vehicles to find out I can only do 5 races before having to wait over an hour to use the car again. Lower tier cars still make you wait for ever for no apparent reason other than promoting in game currency use and ad spam always has to be some dev scum in mobile games can’t just enjoy something for once.
Also just noticed that a lot of higher tier vehicles that I’ve unlocked only come with one colour option.. how fun

Yano I find it quite sad that I enjoyed this game more before I actually progressed I was playing this for hours trying to progress and enjoy it more and now I’ve progressed I have to wait hours to play and have nothing to work towards. Shame

I wont top up any money for this stupid game anymore!
I have top up more than 1000 pounds for this game and played for more than half year. But the recently change is just getting less and less understandable.
We have to pay much higher upgrades fee for the new cars, but it is getting harder for us to earn credits in the game. Today it removes the 10k rewards in expert race and put it into clud rewards. But HOW MANY CLUBS CAN HAVE 15 people who possess top S class cars to earn that group rewards?
Also for multiplier games, Previously we could get 65k credits if we are in legend lounge and in top 1000, but currently we can only receive 25k credits plus the legend lounge is harder and harder to get in. I am in top 1000 and i am still far from legend lounge in recent 2 seasons.
Gameloft just make changes that makes A9 harder for new and old players to play. And it is getting more stingy to give player rewards and free blueprints.
I have topped up a lot money and i got full stars for almost all cars. But i wont be able to fully upgrade all of them and gameloft just don’t want us to upgrade them as they want us to top up more. Why you makes these changes when you are just a mobile game and we have a lot of substitutes

Great game but lacks a few minor things.
Let me start by saying that this games graphics are AMAZING for a phone, it takes full advantage of my iPhone XS Max screen. The maps are beautiful and the gameplay is extremely fluid as well. Whilst ads to exist in the game, they are used only when you choose to watch them for extra in game currency and I think that is fair.
My only complaint is the control that you have over the car. Even when I have the touch control off, I still don’t feel as if I am in full control of the car and I feel that making this option present would make the game perfect. Currently my car’s movement seems to be minimally affected by the way I move my phone.
Great game though guys, my thumbs up!

Impossible to progress without spending money
There are five chapters in this game, with around 16 series of races per chapter(except chapter 1 which has 10). That’s a lot of promised action in he single player game. I haven’t been able to complete chapter 1, or more than a handful of series in chapter 2, or more than a few races in chapter 3 before grinding to a halt because I’m unable to unlock anything else or upgrade existing unlocked cars further without buying loads of car packs in the hopes of randomly unlocking something at some point. Or grinding away at daily/multiplayer/special events in the hopes of some random card pack rewards. Unless you like frustration or spending lots of money don’t bother with this game. I’d rather have paid a decent price for the game and had a proper unlockable progression through the single player game. Games used to be fun, now most of them seem to be nothing but disguised gambling platforms raking in cash through micropayments.

I’d try Asphalt 8 too.
I think Asphalt 8 is one of the best mobile games there is. Adrenaline fuelled arcade style driving, and one of only a few games which works with a Bluetooth analogue controller.
I’m not yet sure what they’re trying to do with this reboot. The touch screen controls it pushes you towards lose the white knuckle experience of its predecessor. What’s the point of a driving game if you can’t steer? You can select manual steering but the controls seem more confusing.
It also appears to only be sensitive to drift and nitro buttons on a small portion of the screen, meaning I have to reach with my thumbs on my iPad to touch them.
It lacks the immediate sense of being straight into the game of Asphalt 8. This remake is let down by poor controls. Control was exactly what its predecessor excelled at.
The most obvious change is a feeling I’m being pushed into spending money. The previous game had a longer curve meaning you could pay to play or win on grinding or skill. You can probably do the same with this, except it forces the player to make upgrades to play and urges them forward making it far more awkward for skill players.

This game way surpassed my expectations BUT...
This game is so well polished looks great on the iPhone XS MAX and plays without a hiccup, everything from the controls to the actual gameplay itself is brilliant. The graphics and visuals blew me away. This game is well worth getting.
However the big big thing that I would change that really aggravates me is the multiplayer, the game allows you to “knockout” other vehicles this destroys their car and respawns you, you’re going really slow so everyone can overtake you and then you’re left in the dust this is simply just not fair I don’t know if I’m being a whiney guy but I don’t thing I should be penalised by some Nissan 370Z 360 degree flykicking my car into oblivion and leave me at the back of the whole race rethinking my life. Within the space of 2 minutes I was pretty much clinically diagnosed with short term depression. This needs to be fixed... somehow.

Great game - terrible multiplayer
Designed for you to spend money! This game has everything you want from a racing game. Albeit the cars have ratings that are not really true to life. Some are given S class when they should be A etc. The graphics are top notch as is the playability. However, the multiplayer ratings system is fundamentally flawed as it uses player ratings vs car rating. This gives a huge imbalance to the actual skill level of the player and means the drivers with the most powerful vehicles will win 90% of the time. It is is obviously designed this way to get users to part with real cash fir better vehicles, therefore gaining advantage. A cheap trick by Gameloft. Also, the fact users can 360 an opponent to the back of the field destroys any real racing potential this game has. 5 out of 5 for polish and 1 out of ten for actual gameplay. Disgraceful.

Great game that needs some adjustments
I really love asphalt 9 for its high graphics and more skilled based gameplay. It really makes me feel like a proper winner when I win!
My only proper complaint is how over powered knockdowns are, especially in multiplayer, as everyone is practically at the same skill level with decently equal cars (most of the time). So if you get knockdown at all in the race, apart from the beginning, you are entirely screwed and are almost guaranteed to lose ranking. There is no possible way to recover from a knockdown quick enough to catch up to everyone else! It’s soooo infuriating when this happens, especially when I’m in first or second and BOOM now I’m suddenly 6th. Gameloft, if you hear my cries please do something about this, as it’s what is ruining the game for me!

Brilliant
I started playing the asphalt games when I played asphalt 6 on my friends iPad. I was instantly captivated by its atmospheric feel and the rush you feel while playing it. When asphalt 7 came out I became addicted to it and enjoyed playing and collecting new cars. I thought asphalt 8: airborne was amazing but nothing prepared me for Asphalt 9: legends. The new races are really original and are more immersive than ever before. A lot of thought has been put into this game and I have so enjoyed every moment of it. There are so many new and improved features such the customisation, stunts and cars. I am sure that gameloft will continue to add more content.
This is hands down my favourite mobile game.

Asphalt 9
The game has a bright graphics and runs on most Apple devices smoothly. Playing it is very pleasant and has much less annoying issues than Asphalt 8.
Multiplayer is boring and is poorly organised and structured. The RP earning is rather invisible and team members are like isolated individuals.
Some team members stated that they are standing still without any progress and asking whether they should buy some of the packages with real money.
Indeed this is not a game to make the sense of progress without spending real money. Also not a game to play long enough for many players who want to be busy for an hour or more.
Reputation points are shown super small in obscure areas of the result page, so it undermines the sense of progress even more.
The game is delicately designed to persuade the player to spend real money. The prices are awfully high and without spending real money, the pace of progress will be painfully slow. The price of McLaren P1 after 80% off, is £85, which means the actual price would be £425, just for one car in a game which is not playable for more that 20 minutes before 3h break to refill the gas.
Not just because one shouldn’t pay for pleasure of any kind , but since the providers of this game have a big history of not dealing with cheats effectively ( if not persuading it negligently or on purpose ) , I have to keep the spending to minimum possible.

Disappointed
I played A8 for a very long time I enjoyed it as it combines skill as well as upgrades to get better cars and bikes, so when I saw that A9 was out I was very excited as it is fun to play a fresh game and get improve, but the racing is just not the same when you are driving you can hardly turn the car so racing requires no skill, this makes it pay to win as all you do when you are driving is swipe to change lanes and press nitro at the right time. This makes it hard to knock other cars down and take the fun out of learning new tracks. They should also have introduced motorbikes in with the games release . Overall I has a lot of potential but they will have to make some big changes with the driving which at the moment is terrible 6/10

Great game, but small room for improvement...
From the moment I got this game I was simply stunned at the boundaries it passed regarding the visuals, and despite only playing for a couple of hours so far I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from playing it, especially with the huge roster of tracks and cars there are. The only 2 things that'd together make me add the final star and meet my complete expectations, the second more important than the first, would be:
1. A way to access career and certain other aspects of the game offline, as I loved the ability to play A8 anywhere I wanted, while enduring the multiplayer seasons and events when I got back to an internet connection - this would be so handy with A9!
2. More importantly, a quick solo and local wi-fi race options. More so than the offline ability, I loved the way I could choose any track and game mode with the cars I owned in A8, and if in wi-fi could easily play with my friends in the same room; so please make these a thing as I'd enjoy the game even more if it were possible in Asphalt 9! Thanks 🙏😎

Energy and settings
Update: Now I’m noticing a massive pay to win gap after actually being able to play online. The rating of your car doesn’t really matter, their cars are usually way better and are some of the expensive cars from the deals at the start so you won’t get far. So besides from actually now not really being a racing game, little skill involved to play just having a better car, pay to win aspects, ‘energy’ (which it is, they just don’t want that word as everyone hates energy based games) and very little customisation, I can’t see why the reviews are even slightly good and I’m done with it.
Original: Was really excited for this, and to be honest it’s no where near asphalt 8 for simple reasons.
You don’t actually race anymore, just tap, and if you want to put it back to normal actual racing you can’t manually place your brakes or nitro, they’re pretty much blocking where you would steer.
Worst part of course, there is now an energy type system for these tiny “races”, but even while the car races itself the energy doesn’t replenish itself, you have to manually recharge it! (I know it’s a joke) aaaaaaand you can’t race while recharging it. To add to this as well, if you try multiplayer and it doesn’t find anyone you use up one energy without even doing anything.
Except for that, alright game.

I love it but only 2 things...
the game looks beautiful and I am honestly obsessed with the graphics compared to A8 sometimes I just wanna stop driving and look at the view but I can’t because the gameplay is intense and exhilarating. As a A8 player I am very proud that this new instalment is not pay to win and how credits are used in a different way. I also like the way I don’t have to buy a certain car for a race and spend nearly 425,000 on it and the blueprint system is way better because in A8 it was really difficult to obtain the car I liked. The menu to the soundtrack is amazing I like the new club system but a few things need to be refined for my final star on this game
1.the drifting and stunts are a bit stiff compared to A8 and it’s difficult to do a tight corner with a drift in this game
2.please make this game playable without internet connection it’s too good
Besides those points I honestly can’t go a day without playing this game because there’s always something to do.

Fantastic game but diabolical support
I’ll start with the negative! Multipack purchase promises legendary car card but doesn’t hand out raised with support team via in game menu over 24 hours no answer even if it was just to say we’re busy but looking into this. Twitter account not followed it seems and just ignored and only used for spam. There app support page and forum seems void of any actual staff member intervention ever. In short great game but don’t spend any money and god help you if you loose you’re account as you might as well talk to the god dam wall as these people don’t give a fecal matter and for once feel like I’ve been let down by Apple as they have shown no help for the purchasing issues as stone walled with “not eligible for refund” or “seek assistance from app website” keeping you’re cash and you as the mug in a perpetual spin of tennis to the other one with no actual care or attention.
Been on iOS for years and spent loads and thoroughly disappointed.

Sunning graphics but energy makes the game unplayable
Grinding was the only way to progress in asphalt 8 without dropping hundreds of dollars. The inclusion of car energy ruins grinding therefore making the game fully P2W. Added to this, the game is always online- even the campaign.
Other than this, I do enjoy the game- however energy does practically ruin it for there are however some positives to the game- for one, the graphics are absolutely stunning almost comparable to console graphics!
I personally quite like the whole loot system for getting cars, though it does render cash practically useless. The idea of grinding events to get cards to unlock new cars excited me, though I feel it will come back to haunt me at later stages of the game as it is a way to create a natural paywall for progressing.
Overall, the impressive graphics and good play mechanics give the game a 6/10. The always online aspect coupled with the car energy system are big downfalls in my opinion however the game will definitely be improved with future updates.

Recommendations to add in more players.
I think Gameloft keep making the best mobile games on the market, I think in a way to get more players, you could inquire to Sony and Microsoft to make copies to add to the online market free to download or to sell in stores. I would like to see more multiplayer gameplay in the future in my opinion, you always do a good job with the Asphalt series. But when working on a future update or a new project, I think other players are waiting for real time online multiplayer mode like a player could run around the city with other players of course limiting the players to a certain number of players at a time of 16 or less. Where it’s free open world exploring and you can do co-op missions with friends and when you aren’t connected to the internet there is the single player part of the game which has Jason Malone in gangstar Vegas. Those are some ideas you can store and keep for later updates, develop soon if you have the resources and time, or scrap if it’s impossible on your part.

So far so good
Brings me back to the good old days when I first got asphalt 8 :)
As someone who has played asphalt 8 ever since its release, the physics feel a bit floaty and the controls are a bit uncomfortable. But gameloft has nailed it again in the graphics department. The gameplay is a bit peculiar in this time, but it still has that adrenaline filled action asphalt is known for.
Looking at how much Asphalt 8 has changed since release, I have high hopes for asphalt 9 in the future. The graphics are jaw dropping despite its flaws, so for now I’ll give this a generous 5 stars :)

Touchdrive...
...doesn’t give me any thrill of even taking part in a race cos you just drift and then do silly pointless swipes like it’s a runner. The other two options are far too hard but Touchdrive is over the top nannying. Asphalt 7 touch controls were perfect and I can’t see why the option can’t be included in this game. Ok you have tap but it’s way to hard as is tilt but touchdrive is taking the pee. Hardcore racers will love this game with tap and tilt controls but I preferred Asphalt 7. Just like Asphalt 8 with its awful handling this is hardcore but touchdrive almost feels as if it was specifically designed for certain gamers in mind and to me that just stinks. I love racing games but the controls are crap. Babying and hardcore, there is no middle ground. Not impressed at all. Whoever came up with the touchdrive controls is an idiot and obviously had three year olds in mind when they came up with the concept or perhaps they are a misogynist. Meh...
