PLAYING GUIDE:
Popscene divides the music making process into entertainment (represented by stars) and artistry (represented by hearts). As in real life, popular music is more likely to shoot up the charts and draw fans - but without substance, the success may be short-lived. Each of the game's many artists has the following attributes that influence this process:
- POPULARITY is the artist's ability to draw fans to entertaining content.
- REPUTATION is their ability to draw fans to artistic content.
- PERFORMANCE is their ability to perform entertaining songs live.
- TALENT is their ability to perform artistic songs live.
- PRODUCTION is their ability to compose entertaining music.
- WRITING is their ability to compose artistic music.
- HAPPINESS is the pleasure they currently get from their work.
- ATTITUDE indicates how likely they are to either contribute or cause trouble.
Each week, depending on the size of your team and their collective attitude, new songs may be recorded. Each member of the team contributes their score to a new song, and whoever scores the highest will be credited with making it. Members who are dedicated backstage staff will contribute twice instead of once - increasing the chances of a good song being written.
Once songs exist, it is the on-stage performers who must bring it to life. As with writing, each band member on stage contributes their score and the highest determines how well the song was received in each category. This time, it is the "frontman" who gets to contribute twice instead of once - so consider who is at the forefront.
The overall rating for a show is the average of all the songs performed - albeit slightly more generous so that perfection is not required. This is also true of album reviews. A 5-star performance may consist of consistent 4-star contributions. Reviews are where your performances feed back into the stats that produced them, because each attribute will rise or fall to reflect what just happened.
When booking venues, you must consider how much it will cost versus how much you are likely to recoup. Tickets are sold at $5 per song so it depends how long your set is. You will receive a percentage of this revenue, and must then use that to pay your employees and any other expenses. Singles are sold at $1 each whereas albums are sold at $1 per song for a maximum of $10. If you have a week of inactivity, you may find that you make a loss because of the expenses of your lifestyle (which reflects your wealth).

Best Music Sim Game Ever
You can’t stop now. The potential for this game is so high. Especially for right now in this generation music is everything. There is nothing like this out there, trust me I have tried. There can be more elements and updates that could be added. This is my favourite game to play and for it to be left on a shelf breaks my heart!

Really good just one thing
This game is really really good however there is just one thing that should be changed, the game should be made compatible with apps such as Spotify and soundcloud so that those with no Apple Music can still use their playlist as some of the in game songs are ‘questionable’😂 but overall really good game.

Suggestions to make the game even better and exciting.
What you could include (please introduce these )🙏🏾:
Certifications for each separate single and albums - Diamond (10 million albums or singles sold) Platinum (1 Million singles or albums sold) Gold (500,000 singles or albums sold).
A separate chart for singles and albums, and allowing singles to be released when the album has already been released to promote the album, and more than one single can chart.
Introduce records that the different artists can break, such as highest selling album, most number one singles, most weeks at number one etc.
Have proper award show ceremonies (that can’t be cancelled) where more than one award is given.
A place where we can view how many awards we’ve won and the other awards we could win.
A place where we can train our attributes.
Allow collaborations with other artists instead of having to recruit.
The ability to run your own label.
Introduce album and single artwork. And have that displayed on the charts instead of the artists’ faces.
Be be album to create eps, mixtapes and endless amount of albums.
Maybe introduce international charts 🤷🏾♂️

Good Game. But...
I've had the demo version for a long time and I enjoyed it. It's an addictive game but there's one problem. I bought the full version of the game and I'm not to thrilled with the full version. Apart from the adverts being taken away and you can edit the characters there's nothing different about the demo and the full version. I think in the full version should have more venues to perform at, have a shop so you can spend your money and have a talk show so someone can ask you questions and you have 4 options to answer your question and have more costumes and hair styles and have more news headlines . If some of my suggestion happen I will be happy with the full version. And it will be a 5 star game

This is a great game when you know how to play it, there should be a tutorial for those who dont know how to play. Also its annoying when other people make diss tracks at you and then they "humiliate" you but then you cant make a diss track to "humiliate" them, so please in the next update allow us to make diss tracks at people especially our enemies and put a tutorial for those who dont know how to play

Good but 1 minor fault
I thought this game was an amazing idea, I was doing well and reach Urban Records where I was in a group with Pharell Williams. He got nominated for some award and it made me like the game even more but when I got to the award ceremony it announces the nominees then says join us after the break I have waited for it to carry on but it freezes. Would easily be a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the bugs in the game. This needs fixing.

This game is probably their best game but there is one thing that bugs me when you are getting a new member or extending a contract when you click the red X at the top left of the screen they react and not you? Just change that then the game would be perfect

Very Confusing!
I really am confused about this game. Every song is the same and has the same outcome. It could be good if I understood it. Maybe if someone explained it, or there was a tutorial then I would like it!

Very good overall
This game is very fun and highly addictive, one of the the best of Mdickie's work.
There are a few bugs and glitches that need to be worked on but aside from that this is great!

I've played all of your games on the apple store and on the PC, but this one I don't understand. It just seems like you make a character and watch him do stuff by himself, without interaction. This seems confusing and to me this game seems empty... Sorry...
