Rather inconvenient
After the booking was made, the app’s ‘Manage Your Booking’ feature allowed for date changes, seat choices etc. Within a week or two, I revisited the app’s MYB feature and now the only way to make any alteration is to call the +968 (Oman dialing code) number to be able to make any desired amendments. Having to make time consuming, likely awkward and probably expensive international calls to make a change is not at all helpful is it. When booking a ticket in the future, I would find this inadequacy a pretty strong deal-breaker. Other than that I did like the accuracy of the fares being displayed within the calander, a nice feature. Will fairly update my review if/when the app enters the modern world concerning amendments.

So frustrating!
This must be the most frustrating airline app I’ve so far experienced. It keeps giving incorrect information eg the booking reference was not recognised or there is no flight-even when I tried to add it to my booking. It also seems that the Sindbad frequent flyer app has its own bugs. I am now locked out because my login details were either not recognised or it said that there was a duplicate account. So annoying as all my login details are stored in Apple Wallet!

Latest Update has a problem!
I updated th app today (25 Nov 2024) and after confirming I am happy to accept cookies, the next screen asks for confirmation that I am an Omani National where I will be able to benefit from special fares.
I am not an Omani National but there is no option to declare this and continue my use of the app. The screen simply locks.
I do have a current booking with Oman Air, hence my interest in the app.

Booked the ticket. They took the money from my account and no ticket was issued. No one with proper english to talk to in uk office, very rude to customer, all they say is someone will contact you and they never do, dont waste your time and money with them.

Very bad unprofessional experience from staff
I have traveled with my family which includes a child after my holidays from Trivandrum to London. We have experienced the unprofessional behaviour from one the staff from onanAir at Trivandrum Airport kerala, India.
Mr. Vikas as he mentioned he is a manager and one Mr Prasad V ground staff. Both behave very badly. Use unparliamentary language in-front of my family. This is my first time experience as an international passenger.

Canceled flight, no refund, terrible customer service
I was traveling with a family of 6 people, including 3 children, from London to Phuket on May. I chose this airline because of the departure and arrival times at the destination, I really wanted to land there in the evening and only these airlines had such a flight on that day. I wanted us to be able to skip the jet lag. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to us, our flight was canceled and the next one was 14 hours later. We lost our prepaid airport transfer, overnight hotel stay, and landed in Thailand at 8 am. instead of the one day before- evening. I filed a feedback on the Oman air website, but unfortunately no one has responded to it yet. I've made 5 calls to customer service this week and each time I get the answer that someone will respond to my comment tomorrow. Additionally, one of the consultants shouted at me on the phone and when I asked for his name and to talk to someone above him, he put me on hold and ended my call after 20 minutes. So far, I have used Qatar Airways for such distances and I have never encountered anything like this

Buggy takes your money and doesn’t finalise bookings
Ia buggy on more than one occasion debited money to my bank card and didnt finalise the booking. The rubbish call center was very little in helping saying that i had to wait to 24 hours to confirm if it went through to avoid double booking. Rubbish app from a rubbish airline

Needs more improvement on customer service relations
Good: food was tasty. Manila to Oman & Oman to Manila airline staff more friendly.
However, our first ever flight with Oman Air got delayed for almost 13hours! Delays are unavoidable due to weather and technical reasons but apparently they have rescheduled the flight few days before but we haven’t received any notification at all. No phone call or no email!
Fast forward after our trip, tried to contact their customer service but staff are not so friendly. They sound irritated and rude. They are not so helpful with the queries. Even ground staff are not so friendly at all as well.
Stressful experience trying to get in touch with them.

Absolutely RUBBISH. Easyjet app is way way better than this!!!
The app has a lot of bug! Very sluggish. Im lost for words as I am so upset as I have spent two hours trying to change seats and still the app wont allowed me to do it! Tried to go to the web version on my browser and it is same absolute crap.
One seat is charged at USD10 and the other seat is charged at Php500 and the total is on USD500!!! Are you kidding? Like what the **** is this?!!! and theres not even an option for me to go back and refreshing many times doesnt do a thing. If I could give this a rating of a negative I would have done it. This app doesnt even deserve a one star.
This is so stressful.
One moment the app will allow you to view the change seat options and then later it wont. On manage booking tab, it shows no seat selected yet when on the check in tab it is showing seat number.
Normally when you book in two’s, you are given with seats beside each other, which is not the case with Oman Air, and the worst thing is that even you are willing to pay to change seats they wont let you with all these hassle! I would not recommend flying with Oman Air.

Gave me someone else’s flight to modify
Very very buggy , and doesn’t support Accessibility features of iPhone. More importantly : I was adding extras to my flight then noticed it was wrong date then when no looked further realised it was a ticket for someone else ! So much for security
Doesn’t accept Apple Pay. Also app is so slow to load and screens look suspiciously like the webpage so suspect this is a hybrid app. Layout doesn’t work well with phone screen.
I’m seriously wondering is I made a big mistake booking to fly with them. If they can’t sort out a simple app how is the flight going to be

Log in details
We Booked flights through the app but we never received a confirmation email. We were not too concerned as all the details were on the app, we chose our seats and all seemed fine but the app logged me out for some reason and now won’t accept the original log in details. We have no way of retrieving our flight details.
I spoke to an Oman air official on the phone but he said without the confirmation number there is nothing they can do.
I have also sent an email, explaining our situation but so far have had no reply.
I realise it is partly my own fault for not making note of all the details but surely Oman air can access our details.
Just an update, I have since received a reply to my email and have all the details I need, the app works fine for me now.. thank you Oman air.

Absolutely awful. Won’t save my contact or passport details; tells me to correct “errors” even though all details are correct and highlighted in green. Won’t let me choose a seat, won’t send me a boarding card. Airline boasts of its “awards” but on the basis of just how appallingly badly executed this app is (and remains despite many negative reviews over many months) I must conclude that either they got these “awards” from a cornflake box or just invented the awards and gave them to themselves. Sadly not surprised. All the trappings and surface appearance of competence and civilisation, but no actual underpinnings of either.

Awful App
As other reviewers have stated, this app is clumsy and can’t fulfil the features it offers. It never saves my booking to my account and I have to enter it every time. It doesn’t let me add the flights to my calendar - the options just don’t work. When it comes to check in on the app, I’m expecting turbulence. I can only hope the flight is better than the app!

Still room for improvement
An upgrade on the previous version but still lots of room for improvement. General user interface and navigation is clumsy. Check-in gives you a technical error and then redirects you to what appears to be the website screen. Most annoyingly, save boarding pass to wallet does not work and neither does the email option. Sort out these technical errors!

So disappointing!
This app tries to do too much and copy the whole website which is a huge let down.
Slow and poorly designed it is impossible to effectively do simple tasks; such as select seats when checking in or managing a booking (you can’t see the whole seat map).

Disappointing
Charged me for a seat as I went to press ‘return’ (which is conveniently next to the ‘save’ button). No way of deleting the seat purchase either. Tried to check in and it went through but gave me no e-boarding pass and when I went on and off the app it said I hadn’t checked in and had no memory of what I’d spent doing for the last hour. App needs serious work doing to it. Let’s just hope the flight on Tuesday isn’t as disappointing as the app!
