I’m on my 2nd day of having this game and I am so amazed that I have finally found a good game apart from Minecraft and roblox. I love this game I definitely recommend it

I have really enjoyed playing this game, but now it is not rightly orienting the game, have explained this to Storm 8 and they came back to say that they don’t have enough support for it. Then cancelled my request for answers.

An ok game, but with a hefty price tag
I have been playing this on and off for the past 18 months. When I first started, I tried the boat challenge, but quickly realised that at such a low level it, it was near on impossible without me spending a lot of time and proper cash! I haven’t bothered with it again until now that I am level 56, and it’s still the same story. I enjoy the daily challenges more, or Lani’s quests as these are far more easy, and probably the only interesting thing that keeps me playing. The graphics on my iPad are horrendous and I have the quests notifications almost half way across the screen...that really annoys me! The builders materials never produce what you need to expand, another ploy to make you spend money. Some of the tasks you can’t achieve without spending money ie to get to level 10 of your designs to buy, it means you need to use gems, which are very few and far between to earn, and are very expensive to purchase. Had they been cheaper to buy, I may have purchased some, but even in the sale they are more than what I consider to be a fair price. On the plus, It’s a great little pass time game, and has got me through some hours of boredom during lockdown...but I am never going to complete it as it will cost too much money. Ie a cosy fireplace is 300 gems, but 250 gems will cost you £9.99...makes no sense whatsoever.

It’s ok... too many in app purchases and advertising for their other apps
It’s pretty good. Don’t like the fact that most of the decor is in app purchases. One of the tasks you have to do it sign into Facebook, I don’t have Facebook so that task will always remain there, kind of annoying. Also, some of the tasks ask you to download another one of their apps and play it, which I did, but when I went back into collect my prize the task disappeared and a new task for a different app appeared... so that’s pretty sneaky and misleading... don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to it since it seems you kind of need to make in app purchases.

I have been playing this game for 9 years now and also feel that you need to have all day access to be in with a chance to achieve the goals If we are unable to achieve the goal we should be able to purchase the dishes with cash at the end of the challenge.

I love this game it is very addictive, however, it is very hard to complete the cruise ships and sometimes the quests.
Apart from all of that, I only recommend this game for people who have patience because it take hours and sometimes days to make food. Seriously!

Update needed I’m loosing all rewards
Since lockdown I’m back to playing one of my fav games but sadly I’m feeling robbed :( The only way to get diamonds is to spend money as none of the rewards is getting monetised in diamonds. Update is needed immediately!!! Please do something 🙌

Innocent way to pass time in the lockdown
It’s a calming innocent way to pass time during lockdown. Both my daughter and I are playing so it gives us something else to talk about. Good fun but probably wouldn’t play under normal circumstances as I can easily find an hour has passed doing nothing productive.

Don’t get me wrong I love the game been playing it for some time now but the ship orders is a joke unless you are on the game 24/7 or spend real money for diamonds as there really is no way to get much diamonds, the diamonds are needed to complete the boat task or you will never get it done!!!! Annoying trying to expand your cafe as you don’t get much materials you need to do it again use diamonds and if you don’t expand you can’t get new dishes so really not helpful the last thing I had gold tokens to make the special meals I used 1 and my other 5 have disappeared which has really annoyed me as you have to wait 8hrs for them!! SOMEONE REALLY NEEDS TO UPDATE THIS GAME AND MAKE MORE THINGS OTHERWISE THERE IS NO POINT PLAYING IT NEVER CHANGES

Edit: I originally gave this 5 stars but the cruise ship challenges are a joke! Even if u spend £15 on gems u would struggle to finish it because if I get too far ahead the game stops you from participating for hours til ur behind again!! I’ll change my review to 5 stars when they stop making it so difficult to complete the cruise ship challenges!

It's a good game and it's very enjoyable ! But When are you going to update this game!!!!!as it's not been updated for over two years now you need to introduce more shops or ingredients and stalls to make it more interesting 👍😀👍when are you going to update this games as other games get updated on a regular bases but you don’t seem to do.I wonder if anyone from the inventor of this game reads these reviews because they don’t seem to do any thing about it frustrated because the game isn’t expand with new items in the shops and new stores to buy things from.Im updating this review it is now October 2018 and you still not up dated this game I’m still on rank 60 can’t expand as it says you have to be rank 80 some off my ovens I can not cook 👩🍳 on because there is no recipes all the other games get updated on a regular bases but this game seems to have stood still a frustrated player.

Not working properly
Usually when you aren’t playing the game it still continues then when you go back onto the game you have earned money and sold dishes. As of 4 days ago this is no longer the case so I’m stuck with counters full of 500 dishes that I can’t get rid of unless I have the game constantly open !
Storm 8 help and support is rediculous ! Sent off 3 help requests and had an automated reply each time to say we can’t help you so angry I love this game but this is so infuriating!!

Good game, nice graphics but my dishes & vegetables keep disappearing on a constant rate.
Also, the quests are a bit pointless...set more realistic goals and prizes worth the cooking time (or waiting time) (collecting 10 onions in the first day for a bronze stamp-80h so 3,33 days for something i can just get as a gift-not worth it).
The same goes for the daily rewards, not worth it.

Only For Money
You tap the ‘earn gems’ button at the top right and a earn gems screen shows up and you want to download an app and get a few gems. You complete the task, the earn gems screen turns off and goes right back to your restaurant. There's basically no other way to get gems besides achievements (which only give you 1 gem) and the free gift icon on the right which makes you watch an ad for 1 gem and quickly disappears and your left with 5 gems a day. Make gems easier to obtain as most GOOD THINGS cost more than 20 which seems like a lot due to the lack of gems anyone can obtain each day. Besides that, amazing game but I really wish to get all the styles that look amazing which cost 20+ gems. You get paid for people downloading and playing the apps from your earn gems scam and the people who download and play those apps get nothing in return.

Love the game but.....
Love this game but it has stuck at level 60 for months and you can’t extend till level 80. They make all the gem recipes cook on the same stoves so you can’t earn many gems back. Just wish you could keep on growing after level 60 and the cruise items are just repeated nothing new from them. They could easy make more stoves to make gems or expand the levels but seems they won’t. Saying all that I enjoy the game a lot.

I’ve played this game for only like a month and I’m addicted to it. I love how you need ingredients to make food then you serve it and buy new shops. The reason I give it 4 stars not 5 is because I don’t like how you need internet to play the game. To improve it the creators could do it so you only need internet for online features (like going to other peoples restaurants). Other than that I love this game! 😄

Great fun, been entertained for weeks
I have really enjoyed playing this game. It's great fun to build up your restaurant from scratch there is also lots of new things to unlock along the way so I haven't found myself bored and mission keep you interested and also give you the boost to actually want to play the game!
Forget checking your texts in the morning, I check my restaurant.
The only I fault I have with this app is the cruise ship missions. They are impossible to finish without gems (which you can build throughout the game but it's time consuming) which you would probably need to buy. While these missions are on there is no way to opt out and it also puts a hold on gaining money and completing other quests. I'd suggest making these easier or giving players the option to quit mission.

Only designed to get money from you
Forget finishing cruise ship quest unless you're prepared to buy gems with real money. No, not for a £1 or £5, you'll need at least £10 and that's combined with constant every hour play. What do you get? A chance to cook a dish which gives you 1 gem when cooked. So you spend around 250 gems to get this dish that gives you 1 gem. Sounds ok? Well for that dish you'll need special ingredients from a special person that comes around 2-3 times a day. Oh and well, you'll need 9 pieces of this ingredient and this special person only gives you 1 at the time. Ok, so I guess 3-4 years from now you'll get your investment back - that's if you play a lot every day. Judge for yourself but I'd call it scam.. Street market never offers you what you need unless what you need are eggs and cheese. The same goes for the builder that somehow happens to give you only planks when all you need are nails. So you finish your build with gems and voila the Builder now gives you nails!!! Would be cool right, only now what you need for your next upgrade are hammers.. Graphics all over place - Pizza slice 3 times bigger then a loaf of bread? Some decor cute and detailed some outright ugly and poorly made. All in all the developers spoiled it with greediness. I would have paid up to £5 monthly (£60 yearly) for decent play but no I'm not prepared to pay up to £50 for all the quests and targets. Nah, next please..

Great game!
I absolutely love this game! I took maybe 6 months out, came back and I still love it. The only negative for me is it crashes a lot, but then I am playing it on a 1st generation tablet lol. If they do update I hope they don't update me out of the game. It's just fun and working out what to cook and when makes it more interesting, rather than cooking anything and it means nothing. I would recommend it to all, especially if you like making things your way. Again great game get involved :)

Addictive but tedious
Found this while feeling reminiscent of cafe world and while it seems to be essentially the same game reproduced for a different company they've made a few changes that make it feel really tedious, mainly having to buy ingredients individually, from separate shops, which also have to restock and take forever to do so.
You either make the easy stuff for no money or wait days and days of collecting ingredients to do a batch of something worthwhile.

Absolutely loved restaurant story 1 & this version?
I absolutely loved restaurant story 1 & I would still play it however I want to try this one & I doubt many people still play the first one as one of my favourites were to tip other restaurants & receive them myself.
I love this version however I do wish (and I'm sure this was in the old version) that you could gift your friends/neighbours food dishes as that was really helpful when you had no food to serve.
I also really liked the old one because of the many styles you could choose for your cafe & how funky you could make it look. I know this sounds a bit silly but I have only just realised that my tables have been tipped by the sparkle that comes up but in the old one it was a coin, which personally I think makes more sense and is easier to see. But that's just me.
Lastly I've only seen levels up to 60 only on this game and I really hope before I reach lvl 60 that the game is updated and there are way more levels ahead & way more challenges. I really don't like to think that the last lvl is 60 and that's everything done. But overall I'm really enjoying it so far, the butchers, veg shop etc are all new and are nice things to add however i wish you didn't have to wait 2 hours just for 2 pieces of beef etc. I do think it would be a little more helpful to have more at a time or less time to get it again - Thankyou😊

Love playing this however to get beyond level 60 will take eternity as the figure to get is over 999,000 which when I managed to get to level 60 with under 100,000 I think the developers need to re assess this aspect, as I think this will put people off as I have noticed they seem to stop playing once they reach this level for a while and can't progress.

Great game but I can't play it?
Okay, so I started playing this game, and I thought it was amazing. It's such a great game, and I got it due to my previous love for the original restaurant story. However now it won't even let me get on the game. I go on it, it starts loading, and then kicks me out. Please can we fix this, as I really enjoy this game, and I would hate to have to stop playing it to a reason as stupid as that :(

Part good part flawed
I have been playing this on and off for a long time as it helps me unwind without having to think. Got to level 60 now, and will have to give up as getting to level 61 will be impossible. The developers don't seem to care about this game much. The boat, the burger van , all have said they will be developed soon for over a year now. The daily quest repeats itself over and over. And the cruise ship challenges are impossible unless you are able to play for hours each day ( I have a job and a life !!)
Have spend money on gems before, but feel rather cheated now I've got to level 60.

I quite like this game it's addictive and fun to play, the only thing I dislike is how long it can take to get certain ingredients and items it would be nice if I could upgrade my place for the level I am on but still really good game, literally can not stop playing it lol.

This game is good until you get to the higher levels and you need to "cook" Ratatouille, I can't cause it's part of an expansion which came out ages ago and only people who played then have that.

Love it! I play daily but events are not fair
Love the game. There is always something new and exciting to look forward to. The only downside is that once I have completed the tasks to gain a prize, I have to wait a whole day to get to the next tasks. As the tasks become more difficult and require longer cooking time and longer wait for ingredients, there would barely be any time left to complete the whole event.

I used to enjoy this game and played since day 1 but it has become very boring and repetitive. The developers have become lazy and depend too heavily upon the cruise ship quests which no doubt have become a cash cow for them as players, unable to complete them without doing so, spend real money to finish on time.
Their greed has sucked all the joy out of playing and the price and poor quality of decor/decorations is appalling.
If they really want people to play, they need to drop the prices and get more interest into the game by opening up stuff that's there and currently doing nothing.

LOVE THIS GAME
I love this game. Tho I'm on level 60 now and really would like an update as I need 1 million blue stars to get me to the next level. Please can we have an update. Also please can we have a 'select all' button when gift giving. I have a lot of neighbours and it is annoying having to tick them individually to send them a gift. Still loving the game tho 👍😀

Event times
I would have thought by now, after so many reviews saying the timing on the events is not good, you would have changed it?
I enjoy the game, BUT........please set tasks that are attainable. If challenges are not able to be completed by people who may only spend an hour a day playing (some of us do work!), then you will have customers looking elsewhere for quicker, easier games.

Great fun but the events aren't fair
I enjoy playing the game a lot but recently it's the events that haven't been good. I haven't been on the app a lot recently and after going on it today, it has automatically put me on the event which it did once before when I should have had the option to start or be able to start it from today. When I opened the app I released I had been put on the event without accepting it and now only have 9 days to complete it and the last time I think I had 7 or 8 even though I hadn't accepted to enter the event. I noticed in another persons review that they haven't been able to complete the even which I have found too even if I have asked to start it with the full 10 days and some days I have found that I have completed up to the first reward and I have to wait unless I have gems. Which I never do because I end up wasting them trying to complete an event which I never get far enough to earn more. Most days I enjoy playing the game but surely when I go onto the app the day the optional event starts and decline starting it for the current day, then I should automatically have not been entered until I am onto the app. Especially when the cruise ship is still around for another 20 days after I haven't been able to complete it.

Good but pls fix glitches
I love playing it but I have waited for the grill to work for weeks and until now it's not working. Can you check on this please? There is no point putting an appliance that doesn't work

Good game for a 'grinder'
If you want a nice free game that you can pick up, admire the nice graphics, doodle about in and then put down until later, this is really great. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the occasional bugs and social reward scheme - the rewards for which are so small it's not worth the time.
As lots have mentioned the special season or ship challenges are very difficult to complete but it doesn't detract from the day to day simple pleasure in the grind of the daily challenges.
It's a nice game, and I like that some rewards are linked to other games in the Storm 8 catalogue. Though fantasy creatures aren't my thing, playing solitaire is, so its nice to earn rewards for one whilst playing the other.
Also the advertising in this game is a 'choose to watch for reward' which I love being able to have that choice.

Great
Fun additive game I don't have to wait long for the food just go to settings and change the time. When u go back on it will be done fun game good graphics fun to play and sometimes I can't get off it.

Poor design of quests ruin this game
I liked playing this game! It is easy to understand how to play but the quests to play other of their games to progress is a big let-down. Many of the in-game quests leave you hanging about unable to fulfil them as you always run out of time which is very annoying leaving you unable to progress and make produce on certain machines without paying loads of real money to buy loads of gems so knocked off another star. Some of their horrible decorating quests I have ignored too until I could earn enough to get the basic need then boxed it away.
I love getting the skins and re-decorating when I feel like it. This game has very good sync between devices so you can use iPhone to continue when out and about.

Addictive but...
This game is really addictive but there is just one thing that bugs me, there is always waiting time on purchasing ingredients which is annoying because some of them you have to wait for like an hour and you have to wait hours for the food to cook it's so annoying😠, why do games like this have timers on them I wish you would get rid of them because it would be so much better because I have nothing to do while waiting for the food to cook and I just get bored of the game and I'll end up deleting it. It's a good game but the timer things do my headin lol

Bought items don't show up in inventory
I deleted this game from my phone after I repeatedly noticed that I would buy an ingredient, be locked out for a time period from purchasing more, but that ingredient never showed in my inventory. In addition to that I'm not a huge fan of the graphics, the slow pace of the game in general compared to the original and just generally didn't find it that fun. The one good thing was the goals, it was nice to have something to work towards.

Love it?
I really like this game I don't now why it just fun and just easy to play and you do lots of challenges and lots of cooking which I love doing so ya ahhh one thing i don't really like it that sometimes u go on the game and your waiting for lt to load and its just turns off it does annoys me a lot. So its cool from that

Fun but a bit annoying
It's a great game, very fun and a it addictive to play lol. The only problems I have is when it first starts it glitches are resets the room, the events aren't on for long enough and the stores should be a bit easier to upgrade as it's annoying waiting for the food to refill. Other than those little problems great though 👍

Addictive, the whole family love it. One observation is, when visiting friends it refreshes in a random order making it difficult to track who you've visited.

Great Fun
It is a long time since I found such an addictive game. Great fun, quite challenging at times and frustrating waiting for ingredients to reload. However, if too easy it soon becomes boring and so it appears to be striking the right balance. Still early days for me, but looking forward to further levels.

Addictive
Addictive game. Once you start you can not help but carry on. The only down fall is the wait for certain food items to be restored at the start of opening them.

It's good but ...
I'm really enjoying this game and love many of the things you can do but they should maybe make it slightly easier to level up the stores so you have more food to cook from.
I think maybe a addition they could do is people giving order board for takeaway for us to fill.
Or customers saying what their favourite meals are so if you cook them you get bonus money maybe..
A game I really enjoy is township and that's because it gets regular updates and they seem to listen to fans ideas - let's see about this games developers

Very atticting
This is an excellent game that I'm getting into a experience of learning new recipes and it keeps me active that I'll be able to cook out of these recipes from the game or maybe from a cookbook in real life!.

Can't. Stop. Playing.
Addicting game. Cute graphics, fun quests and a great choice of decor. I especially love this element of the game, rearranging my restaurant with seasonal decor that comes with the quests. All in all, the best game of its type.
This is probably an unpopular view, but I quite enjoy not levelling up too quickly. Yes, it is slightly frustrating waiting for one hammer or enough coins to expand or unlock a new appliance, however, if it was too easy I'd race through this game in a few weeks and then become bored. And for anyone saying waiting times are too long, I suggest they try some other games out there. I've come across games that have much worse times, even one with a 6 month timer coughsimpsonsgamecough.
Only one small gripe... Please either make quest recipes a bit easier or make the reward recipe worth all the grinding, with a dish that yields gems or higher coin value.

Restaurant Story 2
I would have given this half a star but I can't. I MUCH prefer the first one tbh!!! There's so much lag and it's now become almost identical to Hay Day!!! You need to get the ingredients in "stock"?!?! Some people may love the name change but I don't . Uninstalled , basically because, the first one is the one I loved, when I saw there was a number 2, I really wanted to install it, I did and was VERY disappointed . As I said, many people might find it amazing, and that's fine!!!
