Description

Download the app and see a UK NHS doctor online in minutes. Once registered and after selecting your GP surgery, you will be able to see when online appointments are available. This can be from 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday and from 9am - 5pm on weekends, depending on your surgery.
"I used this service over the weekend and I was really impressed. You can get an appointment really quick. I had a prescription ready to collect from my local chemist on Sunday a couple of hours later." 5 Stars
"I have literally just come off the plane with the worst ear infection. I installed this app ... spoke to a lovely doctor and within half hour had picked up my prescription ... best app on my phone" 5 Stars
WHY PUSH DOCTOR?
Same day appointments with the UK's number one online doctor. Talk face-to-face with an NHS-trained GP on your tablet or mobile today.
Working in partnership with selected NHS surgeries to offer online consultations for free, at the touch of a button.
Electronic Prescriptions available within an hour - sent directly to your local pharmacy. Sick notes and referrals are also available.
Regulated by the CQC - the independent regulator of health and social care in England. We are the first online healthcare provider to receive a ‘good’ rating, with elements of ‘outstanding’ in our last inspection.
100% safe and secure - we use encrypted video consultations to keep your details and records safe.
All doctors on the Push Doctor network work at NHS practices and are and on the General Medical Council register.
WHAT WE TREAT
Push Doctor can treat over 1000 conditions, and 9/10 patients receive the care they require having one of our video consultations. We frequently see patients with both physical and mental health complaints, with our expert GP's on hand to help patients when they need it most.
HOW DOES PUSH DOCTOR WORK?
Push Doctor is an online consultation service working in partnership with the NHS. You must be an NHS patient registered at an NHS GP practice to access the service. You will be able to access our online appointment service in the same way that you make an appointment to see your GP.
When you make an appointment with your practice (via. face to face visit or telephone), the Receptionist will offer you an online consultation, and send you an SMS invite to sign up to our Push Doctor service. Once you receive your invite, you’ll be able to register an account with us online.
Book your appointment in the app quickly and easily, simply selecting the time that suits you most.
When it’s time for your consultation, you’ll enter our online waiting room, and the GP will see you as soon as possible.
In your online video consultation, the GP will ask you about your symptoms and can take a look at any affected areas, or listen to any symptoms, for example if you have a cough.
If you’d like to use text to communicate with the GP in your consultation, there’s a chat functionality. If you need medication, the GP can write you a prescription instantly which you can collect from your nominated pharmacy.
OUR DOCTORS
All of our doctors are NHS trained, registered with the General Medical Council and hand-picked so you get the best possible care.
Push Doctor is regulated by the Care Quality Commission: 1-1207461908.
Push Doctor is not designed for urgent situations or medical emergencies. In these urgent and or emergency circumstances, please dial 999 or go straight to Accident & Emergency as soon as possible.
If our surgery is not open and you think you need medical advice in circumstances that are not urgent, you can also dial 111 in the UK.

1st push appointment

Thought I would be talking to someone at my surgery . I understand that in some circumstances this is perfect for sorting out minor ailments and non-emergency easy to prescribe situations. In this instance I would have been quicker speaking to my GP on the phone I would’ve then been referred to reception for an appointment today rather than having to wait for contact back from the surgery after being referred by push doctor. ExperienceAs a whole was not unpleasant or complicated and the doctor was very nice.

Ling distance appointments

First time I have used this service.
Seems to work in that I got to speak to a doctor on the day I needed to.
Still prefer in person appointments.
It’s been nearly 2 years since my last face to face with NHS docs.
However, I have been able to see specialists for my feet, but only because I paid money privately.
Is this service something I need to get used to? Are face to face NHS appointment no longer likely to happen? Will paying privately be the only way to get a face to face appointment in the future??

Contacted on behalf of my mum to try to help get rid of a nasty chest infection. Yet trying to do this via the local GP was an ordeal and found we were getting nowhere.
I contacted Push Doctor in the hope of getting some different antibiotics to try and help get rid of this infection. The doctor was very courteous and listened to what we said and has helped by prescribing some stronger antibiotics to hopefully get rid of this, and help my mum get out of bed and start to record. It may not work but at least someone has helped us in this goal 😃

Push Dr Appointment for menopause

Dr Woudenberg was fantastic, listened to everything I was saying and answered all my questions thoroughly. I was dreading the discussion about the menopause but actually now wish I’d done it some time ago.
The Push Doctor system is easy to use and I would use it again, the only issue was the dr could automatically do the prescription and had to do via my gp which hopefully will be improved as this is a waste of her and my GP’s time.
Very happy thank you.

DO NOT BOOK FOR YOUR CHILD

I have just paid £45.00 for an appointment for my son to to be seen be a doctor. After paying and being in the ‘waiting room’, I have just been told by the Dr, who was very nice indeed, that they cannot see children under 18.
I had actually checked the website before booking the appointment, and it said that they will see children if your child is registered at your GP with you. Apparently, it’s not that simple.
They need to make the changes to their website ASAP , as I have now WASTED £45.00 that could go towards other treatments for my son. I’m not happy and EXPECT a refund. How unprofessional.

A worthwhile option

With GPs in the NHS currently overloaded with a backlog of patients seeking care, there is currently a wait to get an appointment. I have now used Push Doctor a few times over the recent years. I find the process easy and the doctors most helpful. Yes, it does cost, but it is not too much. Be aware though that when you collect a prescription from the Pharmacy that you do have to pay for it as it is a private prescription.
Having an appointment today now means I have my problem diagnosed promptly and the necessary medication prescribed. I also feel that I have freed an appointment at my GP surgery for someone else who might need it more.

First Time with Push Doctor

Very happy with my first experience of Push Doctor. It was a little fiddly to set up, and I spent rather a long time in the waiting room, but the consultation was efficient and effective, and the doctor very personable. If one good thing had come out of the pandemic it is the enhanced use of social media for remote health consultations, which I feel allows more people to receive their initial ‘triage’ more quickly. It cannot substitute for a hands-on examination, but it does what it can really well. I managed to set up an appointment within hours, when I’d normally have to wait a week or more to see my GP.

Excellent service

I’ve been feeling poorly for a few days, woke up Saturday and knew I needed to see someone. My surgery tells you to go to A&E over the weekend so I used this service and it’s fantastic. Saw a doctor online within an hour, diagnosed my chest infection and prescription available to collect from chemist in half an hour. It cost £45 to be seen which is great value baring in mind to take unpaid leave on Monday to see a dr would cost me more. I won’t hesitate to use this again.

Poor Communication

Although I had a 5.30pm appt, I joined what I thought was something similar to a zoom meeting to start at the allocated time. In fact, I was simply joining a waiting room (queue) for the doctor. Why couldn’t I have been advised of this in advance?
It took 50 minutes to be seen and then without warning, or perhaps countdown, the doctor appeared and asked for my name and date of birth. Whilst she checked my notes, I asked her to introduce herself. Apparently she already had done so at the beginning of the meeting but the introduction was lost when the call started so suddenly.
My reason for calling was for anxiety and low mood due to bereavement. The lack of courtesy and communication waiting for the call to start I feel was unacceptable for any patient waiting, especially for someone waiting with anxiety. Perhaps you should consider the whole process from the patient’s perspective. Tell them the appointment time is only a estimate (I appreciate your doctors are busy). - reassure with an onscreen message. Even the dr I spoke to, had no idea of what the process was like from the patient prospective.
Also, despite registering for the appointment hours in advance, it was only as I was logging into the waiting room (minutes before the appointment) I was asked for some photo ID - again, this was stressful - why couldn’t this have been requested at the time the appointment was made?

Success

This is the first time after over a year that my condition and the problems that I have had have been understood. Thank you so much Dr Burki; if only my local practice could have been as receptive, perhaps my condition, and the effect of my worsening symptoms could have been reduced and the resulting time on our overstretched NHS, which would not have been necessary if my local practice followed the same analysis, and listened to my description of my symptoms. So much time has been wasted. Thank you so much for the push doctor service, 🍀

First timer

First time using this service, I was able to book an appointment in 5 minutes, I received a call asking if I was ok setting up the app and using the service and even though I missed the appointment by a few minutes as setting up my details took a little longer than expected (darn internet speed) I was only in the virtual waiting room for a minute before being seen.
The video call was clear and I could hear well, all well explained, exceptional service all round, very impressive!

First online appointment

Very unhappy with the situation. I feel that preventing people from getting the GP care in which they had before is very dangerous especially for the vulnerable and if patients don’t describe their symptoms accurately. Yes corona virus can be deadly but so can various other conditions. How many people I wonder will die of conditions that could be easily treated ? Or how many people will be treated in the wrong way because they can’t have a basic examination? The Ap was excellent though couldn’t fault that. Very efficient. Not sure it is healthy for Gp’s to sit at a desk all day without human contact it will make their work like a tick box assignment eventually they could make a computer program to ask questions instead!

Great experience

In these uncertain time with COVID and not being able to go to see your doctor I was very worried about the on line consultation with a doctor. But I must say it was a great experience the doctor introduced him self his name was John and really put me at ease asking questions and allowing me to ask any question regarding my concerns in fact I feel it was a better experience then actually attending the surgery it felt like I wasn’t rushed and the doctor was very empathetic and understanding .... what an amazing experience 😀

Appointment went well. Set up was fiddly

I wanted to request a female doctor but I could not see how to do it. Luckily I got one by chance. Apparently there is an “email us” option. I’ll look for it next time.
I wasn’t aware that I would have to spend 10 minutes before my appointment submitting my ID and allowing the app access to my camera and microphone. A warning should be made obvious to start the app 10 mins before your appointment to allow for this.
Other than that, the appointment went fine and I actually preferred it to going to the doctor in person. No waiting in a waiting room full of ill people, no struggle to park my car and I did my washing up while I waited for my appointment to start! If my prescription could be delivered to me, that would be perfect, but I have to go and collect it!

Much better than seeing my own GP... Can’t fault it.

I tried Push Doctor since it’s impossible to get through on the phone to my GP let alone get an appointment, especially at the moment with all the lockdown and COVID19 restrictions. Since our GP practice provides access to Push Doctor for free on the NHS, I had nothing to lose. I can’t fault it; I logged on and was able to book an appointment within the hour. About 20 minutes before my appointment time I logged on and entered the waiting room. Although the GP was running a bit late, it was nothing compared to waiting with other patients and having to deal with the snotty reception staff at my GP surgery and I even got a phone call from someone at Push Doctor whilst I was waiting to let me know they were running a bit late.
The GP was very nice, came across as very professional and friendly and the whole appointment was exactly as you would want and expect. A prescription was issued electronically to my local pharmacy and I was told it would be available about 15 minutes later. All in all, a much better experience than visiting the GP in ‘real life’.

Brilliant Service

I had reason to get in touch with the doctor via push doctor during the covid19 epidemic. The service is brilliant. It takes a couple of minutes to go through the ID process before you “see” a doctor. You’d be advised to have some form of ID on hand such as a drivers licence or passport before your appointment time. You get a notification that your appointment is imminent (about 5 mins) which is adequate time to do the ID stuff. You then are taken to a virtual waiting room and then to the doctor.
It’s a great service and must help keep your own gp’s waiting room less busy.

Fantastic service

I used this service for the first time today after being told by my local GP surgery no appointments were available (as always!) but if I was happy to do a FaceTime consultation, they would send me the link. Absolutely brilliant service by PushDoctor, a doctor in Surrey called me exactly on time. I didn’t feel rushed and she was lovely, listening to everything I said. I didn’t have to pay anything either as my local surgery has signed up to the service. Very happy, thanks!

Long & uncertain waiting & connection

My appointment was for 1.40pm...I was still in the virtual waiting room well after 2pm. When it was finally my turn, I connected but couldn’t see the doctor on my screen and despite sending in-appointment messages, I saw and received nothing. Thankfully, I was sat in front of my PC and I received an email informing me that my appointment had been interrupted and advised me to return to my app and connect again (which I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t seen the email come through and relied on the app alone ). It really wasn’t clear whether I’d been charged for that non-appointment. Once in the waiting room again, I had another c10 min wait. All in all, the waiting & connection took almost an hour. It was a real NHS experience from that perspective!

Push Doctor

I have been using Push Doctor for the last 2 years when I have medical issues that I would like to deal with quickly, efficiently and without fuss. It is a first port of call when it is not routine and I really cannot wait four weeks for an appointment with my GP or an interminable wait at A&E. Push Doctor is invaluable but I use it sparingly as it is not a replacement for my GP or the hospital. The costs are an issue if you cannot afford it, that’s the only thing but it is the lesser of the evils. The diagnosis is always on point and professional and I would highly recommend the service. Great app, professional service from waiting in the virtual waiting room to the chat room facility. I don’t often write reviews but I must say that I highly recommend this app and would shout to the roof tops about it. Well done Push Doctor.

Fantastic service - on a Sunday evening.

After I was hospitalised and had time off work, I was told on the Sunday evening I needed all my medical notes in by the Monday morning or I would not be paid for my hospitalisation I was panicked but I used push doctor, saw a fantastic doctor who genuinely took time to speak to me about my conditions and was very happy to help, in minutes and had my fit note emailed straight over to me after a very caring and through consultation. I couldn’t be happier with the service. I will be using this service much more than waiting around for appointments and sometimes not listened to as much. Fantastic.

Having tried for two days to get into my own doctor, I was left with no choice but to sign up with Push Doctor.
And my consultation was so easy, just like being in front of a GO but without having to wait in a dreary old waiting room with magazines 3 years out of date and being subject to all the infections lingering in the air at a medical centre. Of course they can’t do bloods etc but I can arrange that at leisure.
I have no hesitation in recommending or using this facility again in the future.

Short wait, lovely GP, super helpful!

After trying to make an appointment with a local GP for an hour to be told there were none left, I was told to try Push Doctor.
I made an appointment for 10 minutes later and was nervous but the online GP came on and was really lovely, listened, asked important questions and was helpful. She was able to make another appointment with my local practice for a few hours later on the same day I was told the appointments were full, and has added to my medical notes for further help!
My issue was with mental health which tends to not be taken as well with my local doctors and I’m relieved to have found someone sympathetic and wanting to push for help and asking the more important things as many GPs I’ve seen in person aren’t as informed. Really happy to have found this service.

Just bad?

I called my GP to book an appointment and was directed to use this app instead. I called about my flight anxiety and wanted to see if I could do something about it as I couldn’t take it any more. Whoever I was talking to must be newly qualified because I have no idea how they were able to do this. This women asked me 9 questions. 9. And just from those she determined I had severe depression and anxiety. Okay from 9 questions.
And you would think okay I have severe depression and anxiety now surely I will have to go to the doctors and you know get something done, no just read these books and book an appointment in 4 weeks again.
So what I gathered from this is:
1. You can determine if you have depression or anxiety from 9 questions from an online questionnaire, no point going to a doctor!
2. If you have severe depression and anxiety you done need help, no! Just sit it out for 4 weeks, read some books and hope you don’t hurt yourself because if your mental state
And 3. It’s completely okay to mess with peoples minds because I am now sitting here confused if I actually do have a mental illness or not.
Thanks for the great help! Messed with my brain more than helped.

Use it in absolute emergencies

This is a review of the app and not the doctor. App and customer service is abysmal. While in waiting room it crashed a few times. And when talking to doctor there was no timer on the screen so that we don't exceed 10 minutes and end up paying more. My consult with doctor did not require new medicine prescription to be issued and yet i was charged with £8 that is mentioned in the breakup for sending prescription to the pharmacy. Also I contacted customer support for doctors fit note based on my previous consultation and I have been asked to pay £30 again and talk to a doctor to get a letter based on my last consult.

Amazing

Amazing service from great doctors that make you feel comfortable during your consultation, I have used push doctor twice now on both occasions the doctor I spoke to was amazing, asked questions listened and prescribed the right medication, prescription delivered to a chemist that is easy for you to collect, this service is chargeable but at least you do not wait a month to see your own GP (sometimes you just cannot wait that long).i would recommend using push doctor as it worked on both occasions for me
Thank you to all for your service

It’s Medical Care in the Modern World

During this Christmas period I came down with a kidney infection, my issue is I only have one kidney so when I come down with anything that puts strain on one kidney I have to get them sorted very quickly.
My own doctors was useless to get an appointment, I could not for the life of me get one they didn’t have the time of day.
I decided to use Push Doctor. My GP Dr Farheen Kayni was incredibly professional she listened carefully to my symptoms and my issue with the one kidney and gave me medication via a prescription that went straight to a pharmacy and was ready on collection. She even prescribed a weeks worth while my own doctors only prescribed five days which never helps get rid of it entirely.
I had a fantastic experience using this App! Long may it continue!
The only things I can see to improve would be if I had the option to choose a pharmacy that is a little closer to me.
The pricing for 10 minutes was £30 I’m not sure if this is the new price or just because of the Christmas break. it’s a lot of money but at the same time it’s a good service and it’s stopped me waiting in A&E for hours and hours when I just want to be with my family over Christmas.
Thank you Push Doctor and GP’s

Amazing

I never write reviews, but I have to say this service is truly incredible. It is the easiest, most straightforward thing imaginable, a service I am more than happy to pay 20 pounds for!! The best part is that the doctors and wonderful, they are so caring, smiling and they actually listen- I’ve never experienced that with my normal GP. I would HIGHLY recommend Push Doctor to any of my friends/family (and will be recommending it actually!) I can’t say enough good things about it!!!! This is the future of healthcare!!

Waste of money & time

Please save your money & go see your GP. I know appointment times can be long in this day & age, but I wish I hadn’t bothered with this Push Dr thing: 1) the appointment went over by a few seconds & I was charged for a double slot; 2) I was charged for a referral that was never sent - but this was an admin error, not the actual Dr’s fault - so turned down my GP’s offer of a referral a wk after this, thinking that I already had one in the pipeline; 3) it took me to send emails & phone calls to Push Dr to get answers to why I was still waiting for the referral to see a specialist four months later, all the while having to suffer with the condition unnecessarily. I did end up getting a refund, but just wish I had not bothered with this app & just gone to my own GP instead. It’s a real shame, because the Dr himself was really good, but this app will end up ruining the reputation of the Drs who work for it. Oh yeah, & I just got an email saying Push Dr are increasing their consultation fee from £20 to £30!!! What a joke, please save your money!!☹️👎

Very disappointed again

The concept is great and would save a lot of messing about. To start with my appointment was delayed by 20mins and then I had received an email to say prescription was ready to collect after my appointment, picked a pharmacy near work which is an hour and 20 away from where I live, waited in the pharmacy for 45 mins whilst they tried to work out what was going on eventually gave up. Spoke to customer services she was no help at all told me I needed to wait for an email to say prescription was ready tried explaining I had the email 10mins after my appointment. Wouldn’t have any of it then they were supposed to process a refund of £28 and she agreed to give a courtesy call to advise it’s been processed didn’t get that as well. Not worth wasting time on a service that is supposed to help with that never using again.

Amazing!

I used push doctor because I was running out of my medication and needed a doctor to re-prescribe them to me as I’ve just started taking them so I have put them on a repeat prescription yet. Only problem is trying to get a doctors appointment for them to do so is a real pain! So I thought I’d give push doctor ago and i wasn’t disappointed, waiting only 15 minutes for my appointment the doctor was so incredibly helpful and took the time to explain a lot of things to me, usually my normal GP just wants you out of the room and on to the next patient! About 5 minutes I received a text to say my prescription was ready to collect! So quick and time saving with a lot less hassle! Fully recommend and will use again.

WARNING AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I PAID £20 and didnt receive the referral letter i had requested saying ahh i dont think u need it. After a 5 minute conversation where tbe crazy locum who was definitely not in the united kingdom. Either Ghana or Haiti would be my guess. They use stalling tactics till your time is up and if u do not close the app one second after immediately take another £20 whilst the so called doctor is distracting you to gain the extra illegal payment. I told the locum where to stick it as soon as i realised i was being SCAMMED. Then on live chat they wanted my name, email and DOB. When i reaised they already had my card details i didnt give them any more sensitive info. Had to spend an hour on the phone closing my account. Ordering a new bank card and changing my original email password as i used the same one for the con. BEWARE THEY ARENT REAL DOCTORS I WOULDNT LET THEM TOUCH MY DOG NEVER MIND A HUMAN BEING.

Gods idea but no real results

I had a heavy fever, pain in my stomach and feeling like being sick. Thought it was a great opportunity to try out Push Doctor (an app I had on my phone for nearly a year). Easy to use, saw doctors within 30 mins who told me that I should go to A&E as she could not check me out online. I can understand her point but honestly speaking from the first 3 seconds of speaking to her I knew nothing much would come from her. She looked rushed and only when she realised she was speaking to someone pretty sharp did she wake up. Anyway, I am currently sitting in A&E £20 poorer. I like the idea of push doctor but without being able to test urine samples and blood tests it’s really like calling 999 and being put through to someone who asks you what’s wrong and then tells you to get to hospital. A bit pointless.

Great or total waste of money

First experience was fantastic. I’ve suffered from cystitis on and off for years, sometimes not getting it for a couple of years and then other times I could have it twice in 3-4 months. The first time I had prompt quick service. Prescription sent to a local chemist near where I was working. The second time, the doctor said she couldn’t help as I’d had it 3 months earlier and told me to visit my gp. I was on the phone less than a minute and was charged £30. Pushdoctor are making a lot of money and need to consider reducing the fee to say £10 when they are unable to help. I wouldn’t risk calling again.

Amazing

I’m usually quite sceptical about things like this but it was a Sunday and I knew I had contracted bacterial tonsillitis and needed antibiotics. I decided to give this a shot and paid £20 for a consultation. I waited 2 minutes before being linked with a doctor who talked me through my symptoms and wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. She was friendly and clear with all of the information and I was able to pick up the prescription within the hour from my local pharmacy. This service is fantastic if you need to speak to someone and can not get to a physical surgery. I have read some bad reviews about running over the time so I would suggest only using this if you are sure you can stick to 10 minutes otherwise it can get expensive. However, I was happy to pay the £28 for the video call & prescription and when I picked my tablets up they were only £5. Would recommend!!

Fantastic service

I’ve used this service twice. Both times have. Been great. Super easy instructions to follow and a smooth process start to finish. Only thing I’d suggest is calling which ever pharmacy you have been asked to pick medication up from ahead of getting there to ensure they have the medication ready. For example boots pharmacy that I have been sent to by the app send a ready notification to the app but won’t necessarily have my medication ready. Pretty sure they have an auto response to the app.
Anyway..... I defo recommend
(I will never use a doctor surgery again after this app)

Disappointed

My first time using this service first of all I picked an appointment that was about 20 mins wait from the time at that moment....it said onscreen i was next to be seen I waited in the waiting room over an hour so I was disappointed to wait so long especially with it costing £20 and it kept saying I was next to be seen ....... then when I finally got my doctor he said I needed antibiotics and was trying to send me a pop up to authorise cost for prescription it wasn't appearing on my screen so he said he would disconnect and call me back ..... nothing no video call back....so I went on live chat to customer services as expensive to call at 35p per min and I had already spent £20 and wasn’t impressed.....they said they was having technical difficulties and to wait 20 -30 mins and re join waiting room as my doctor will pick back up with me ...... 30 mins later I couldn’t get back in waiting room as the doctor had marked my appointment as completed.... I was feeling very furious by know and feeling poorly didn’t need the hassle .....so I complained via website they credited me £20 to my account so I could call another doctor...... so I did call another doctor no problems this time all good .... just about to pick up my prescription so hopefully I will feel better soon .....BUT it has put me off sorry my first time experience was not great I wouldn’t recommend this service.

My experience

What I needed:
Photo ID
Internet with camera for consultation
Bank card details
After speaking to my local GP receptionist who said I wouldn’t be getting an appointment that day, I searched to see if there was an online service. I registered with Push Doctor using my Google email account, and downloaded the application. I was able to speak to a doctor 90mins later, had a 9min consultation with a professional doctor who agreed I needed antibiotics. She said I would receive a text when the customer service workers had found a local pharmacy. I could see the progress of my prescription on the app, and had a text about 30mins after the consultation with the address of a pharmacy 0.3 miles away from my location and collected it without any problems.
So to summarise, two and a half hours after signing up, £20 for the consultation, £8 for the sending of prescription and £6 to pay at the pharmacy, I was back in bed with antibiotics. I would no doubt be in hospital with a fever if I didn’t get this medicine as quickly as I did, so I’m thankful that this service was available.

Good Doctors, seriously flawed app design

1. The app checks your connectivity and AV check AFTER the appointment is made, not option to check before, so you could be on the road to an avoidable failed appointment without knowing it.
2. It’s criteria for connection are bizarrely higher than apple’s Facetime or skype so watch out
3. There is no way of uploading your test results pdf BEFORE the consultation so you waste both time and the bandwidth trying to load a picture of your test results/notes, making it difficult for the doctors to do their job
4. I couldn’t connect reliably on 4G on the app despite trying it out in the London ‘burbs and from inside the Royal college of General Physicians in central London. No such issues with Facetime or skype.
5. After a faltering few seconds where I was barely able to say to the doctor “can you hear me?” lasting all of 19 seconds I got billed £20 for that. I complained and the support guy promptly acted and has tried to get it refunded, with a qualifier that management decide if the £20 is refunded. Will update here.
The app has potential but needs a lot of fixing to make it “REAL WORLD READY”.

High praise

I’ve struggled to get an appointment with a doctor for the last 2 years, as they either have times when I’m at work or their receptionists lack any form of customer service. So today I decided to give Push Doctor a go (regarding my next course of prescription) - downloaded the app, booked a time, and I was amazed at how quick it was! I was seen within 20 mins of setting it up - the lady doctor I spoke to was absolutely lovely, she was so helpful, and within half an hour my prescription was ready to be collected from the local pharmacy! Absolutely superb service and worth recommending, especially if trying to get a normal appointment time at your local surgery is frustrating.

Such a great App!!!

Trying to get an appointment with my GP is a nightmare. I twice called on two separate occasions, once being told that the next available appointment was in 9 days and the other time I was told 11 days. After having what appeared to be an allergic reaction early this week, then for it to suddenly get worse Friday I decided to download the Push Doctor app after remembering seeing the advert.
It was such an easy experience and Dr Malham was great! She was able to confirm my suspicion of having an allergic reaction and recommended an over the counter antihistamine tablet.
If having to go to your local GP and potentially having to wait days like I have to get an appointment, then I fully recommend this app.

Good if you’re stuck!

Personally I don’t think this is a bad idea at all but does need some tweaking.
Pros -
*access to a GP at times when you can’t get an appointment or if you can’t get out of the house.
*they tell you most of the costs up front.
*lovely kind GP who took the time to ask suitable questions and was good with my child.
Cons -
*despite being given an appointment time you are put into a ‘waiting room’ and have to wait as people’s appointments run over (my waiting time was 70 minutes despite booking an appointment three hours prior).
*the prescription for my child cost £15
*if your signal drops out you could lose your space in the ‘waiting room’
Overall it wasn’t a bad experience and saved me waiting in a&e with two little ones on a Saturday night.
I was able to get my son antibiotics for a throat infection on a Saturday evening in about 4 Hours at a cost of £43 (£20 for a 10 minute GP consultation, £8 to fax over prescription to chemist of your choice, £15 for the antibiotics).

Technology is amazing!

I booked an appointment to get feedback on a itchy circle that had appeared on my thigh. Doctor was very professional and diagnosed it as eczema after asking about the symptoms & then taking a look. It was a little awkward when I couldn't get the camera ankle right and started pointing the camera towards my waist! But he stayed professional all the way through & wasn't phased. I am now on my way to collect my cream from the pharmacy around the corner. Quick, convenient & professional. I Highly recommend.

Amazing

I wish I could have awarded this service 10 stars. I saw my NHS doctor twice about my respiratory complaint and cough and received the impression that she could not have cared less. I have been feeling very unwell for well over one month and it is now getting worse so I looked up private doctors and found PushDoctor. In less than 5 minutes I saw an extremely nice and competent doctor who has sent me a prescription already. Well worth £28 and without having to go out in the cold or queue as I did before for 2 hrs to see my GP. Note to NHS - surely it cost the NHS more than the £28 I spent today for something my doctor could have given me quite easily when I saw her instead of wasting time for both of us? Thank you PushDoctor.

Good service

Used this a few times. Doctors are friendly, quick to help and it saves so much time not having to to the Doctors. It’s £20 per 10 minute session, plus £8 for a prescription but if you tend to need to see a Doctor once a month or even every couple of months for issues without the need for exam then the £20 per month option is very reasonable for the unlimited appointments and prescriptions. Definitely 4/5, losing one point because they can’t prescribe slightly stronger drugs (such as Valium for flying, which I sometimes need as a pretty pathetic anxious flyer!) and as previously mentioned they can’t examine you so won’t cover all needs. Excellent overall.

Disappointed:Took more money than they should

I exited the consultation with seconds to go but received a email stating that I had used 4 seconds into a 3rd session. So they took a further £20 out of my account on top of the £48 already taken, charged me £2 and told me I could use the remaining £18 they had taken from only on their service. If I went over by 4 seconds it because of either a poorly designed app or a interface designed to prevent people leaving the appointment at speed . To be honest on review, after having the experience with their billing practices it makes me think, this model seems as though it incentivises Drs to take their time to make them self and the service more money.
I would like a refund for the the time I did not spend on the service, but once you have my card details you could take what you want... and did.
You have to admit this grabby behaviour by your company does give cause for customers to perhaps view your company in a poor light and it’s not breading customer loyalty.

Overpriced, terrible customer service, good doctors

-Waiting time varies drastically, entered the “waiting room” half an hour before my appointment, was there for an hour before being connected.
-The app then quit out after being connected, waited a further 20 minutes.
-Think it should be clearer it’s £20 for every 10 minutes so can end up quite expensive if the connection dips or you’re unable to resolve in 10 minutes.
- The doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and helpful though. -Would use only if really unable to get to my GP which was the case as it’s expensive and the customer service is terrible.
- The video feed cut out half way through the appointment prolonging the process making it more expensive than it should have been.
- Now I’m trying to get a sick note from the consultation but the online customer service individual is an absolute robot and won’t give me a real answer as to why I can’t obtain one for the appointment I had, or even acknowledge the issues had during the call.
Actually yeah, don’t bother unless you can’t leave your house.

AVOID THIS IS A SCAM, CHARGED £40 FOR NOTHING!

Made an appointment today for 3-50pm and waited around 1 hour extra to be greeted by a doctor who cancelled the call after a few seconds. Got through about 15 mins later and same doctor said my name ‘Rob’ didn’t match my passport name ‘Robert’ despite my passport showing my face and date of birth etc. Through this technicality I was cut off again and told to amend my name and make another appointment. They charged my card £20 for this!!!
Made another appointment for 7-10pm and waited until 8-05pm to be greeted by another doctor that had no sound, the doctor cancelled the call. I checked the app sound volume which was fine and tried to re-connect but was told that I had to make another appointment!!! That’s £40 charged for nothing but a waste of my time.
Will be contacting my credit card company to make complaint.

I was so scared to use this service due to it being online and an upfront cost, my partner just said give it a try what's the worst that can happen, so I did and got everything set up it was very straight forward. My appointment started 4 mins late but that wasn't a problem, the doctor listened to my problems and diagnosed me. Got my prescription ready which cost £8 and now I'm waiting for a text to say my prescription is ready! Disappointed

The doctor I spoke to was really nice and helpful but what happened afterwards ruined the whole experience. I spoke to the doctor at 10:00am, was prescribed antibiotics and was then notified at 11:30am that my prescription was ready to pick up. However when I went online to find out where the pharmacy was I found out that it was closed. Being that it was a Sunday I figured I'd just have to wait until Monday morning. It got to 4:00pm and I was in agony so thought it was worth seeing if I could get the prescription sent to a pharmacy that was actually open. I spoke to a customer service person and they told me the pharmacy was open. I sent him a screenshot showing the address and that it was closed. He said that Google was wrong because it was definitely open so I got a taxi up there to make in time before it closed. It definitely wasn't open but there was another pharmacy about a 15 minute walk away from there so I thought I would just try it. It turns out that I had been given the wrong address and even when I got in touch with the customer service person they didn't think to check this. After I finally got my prescription I spoke to another customer service person who was very apologetic and refunded me £8 as well giving me £20 credit for the future. I won't be using the credit or the service again though because it actually would have been quicker and easier to go and wait at the walk-in centre.

Excellent service for low level concerns

Every couple of years I get a throat infection which invariably ends up with me unable to swallow & sitting in a grotty overspill or out of hours clinic miles away from home because I can’t get a GP appointment. After a few days of a sore throat getting worse I knew what was coming but as it’s a Friday I knew I had no hope of getting an appointment until late next week by which time I’d be really ill. Decided to give Push Doctor a go rather than search for a private GP (which have also proved difficult to get appointments with in the past due to high demand). Within 10 minutes of signing up I was having a face to face consultation with a Dr, she was able to check to see that I do have pus filled spots & therefore required antibiotics. The charge for writing the prescription was an extra £8 on top of the £20 for the consultation.
1hr later I received a text to let me know my prescription was ready at my local pharmacy (although the Dr did warn me this could take up to 3hr). As it’s a private prescription it’s not the NHS charge but for my medication it was only £4.90.

Saving lives!

Amazing app, I can’t just believe it! I saw it by chance on Google when I was about to wait for hours at the A&E...! I left the hospital and saw a doctor in 10 MINUTES at home, on my iPhone, a Saturday night, got my life saving prescription in 2min and waited for the push to tell me exactly where to collect my medication. They called me back saying my medication was not available, so I ask if they could ask the doctor to change the type of antibiotics I needed, which was done within 30min. They sent me a text when my new medicine was ready, I picked it up for £8 and now I feel much better. Total time = 45 min instead of hours of pain. This will also avoid to catch germs within the hospital itself! THIS IS GENIUS. And thanks so much for the doctor and the lovely person I had on the phone tonight, they were so KIND!

I thought it was great until..

Great being able to speak to a doctor so quickly. Didn’t mind paying the £20 and £8 for prescription but...my antibiotics then cost £87!! I was not expecting that and for that reason would not use the service again.
UPDATE:Thanks to the developers for getting back to me. I have updated to 4 stars from 2 as have now looked into this further and yes the pharmacy sets the price for the antibiotics. It turns out that if I had tablet form it would have been £8!!! Apparently liquid antibiotics are FAR more expensive. I had NO clue so if the doctor had at least warned me I could have made a choice on liquid or tablets knowingly. That is the only reason for not giving 5stars now.

Hassle free, friendly service

Trying to book a doctors appointment and fitting it in to a busy schedule has been an irritant to me in the past. To be able to get an appointment immediately(within 10mins) and from the comfort of my own home was brilliant. The online doctor listened and provided a great empathetic service that reminded me of the various tv doctor dramas that I have dissed in the past as being unrealistic in terms of doctor engagement. I can’t see me seeing my local doctor again as it is too much hassle. I will use this service again.
