I completed the evening check in on day one, that automatically started the hypnosis session, I paused it after a couple of seconds to complete later. When I came back to it later it seems to think I have completed the session. I can’t go back and listen to it. What a waste of money and time! Overeating is triggered by stress, I don’t need an app that’s trying to help the overeating actually triggering me!!

This app doesn’t seem to be compatible with iPhones. The format doesn’t ‘fit’ onto the screen, which means you are u able to click on any ‘buttons’ and if you miss a day the screen is frozen as you cannot click anything at all to get it going again. Some of the sessions also stop mid-way.
*Edit: Had a prompt and very helpful response to my problem with the app regarding the format and the app now works well.

This app no longer works. I used it years ago and it was brilliant. Having no incentive to lose weight at the moment I decided to download it again. Every time I opened it, it “finished” the motivation without saying a word. This morning I opened it to start the next day, and it told me I completed it and come back tomorrow.
I don’t think Paul Mckenna would be happy the way this app has been allowed to deteriorate. It needs to be either updated or discarded.

I’ve only had this app for one day, and have already been frustrated by it, having found that you are unable to set up the night time hypnosis session for it, leave it on pause and come back to it once you are properly settled, as having done that, the app decides that you have listened to it, and you can’t access the main menu to get back to it because you cannot dismiss the message about what is to come for tomorrow. Sort this out please, otherwise I shall be asking for my money back.

I first used Paul McKenna way back on cassettes after having my second child.. and they worked... I used them in my baby rest times... as she got bigger I never really needed them my weight was good running around. But then years later the weight sneaked back, it was cd’s turn and along with dog walking ....again they worked. Now I’m heading rapidly towards pension age.. child and dog less... I checked out the gastric band... I’m sure it works for sum... but every day ur talked through an operation... a few years ago I had a major op... the last thing I needed to no was about getting ready and any procedures.. and what was going to happen to me ....it freaked me out...
Each day I listened to the online recording my toes curled/ I got figeity, nearly throwing up... so sorry Paul but I think it would have been easier to of just had the real thing and no words...
That was a while ago now... I’m going to give the 7 day sleep one ago instead... so 2 stars is if it works for you not a fair score...
But my toes are curled as I’m typing this ... good luck to anyone who doest freak out about operation.‘
This experience has not effected my feelings towards mr McKenna in any way I have great respect for his talent and I love his relaxing voice. He has been a great help with my relaxation times over many many years ...Thank you Paul ......Lynne.

Love Paul McKenna and have been a big fan of his books. Was so pleased to see an app, a nice quick way to use the programme. Unfortunately the hypnosis fades into nothing before it finishes and despite lots of complaints by people about this it's not getting fixed. Really disappointing to pay £4.99 for an app expecting quality and it being let down by something so basic. Very disappointed. DO NOT BUY UNTIL THEY HAVE FIXED!!

I downloaded the version that says 'this update fixes a bug that affected a small number of users' but guess what, it still cuts out at the end. I originally bought the book and CD so I know the countdown at the end is missing which is designed to wake you up or bring you fully back to consciousness. So quite an important bit is missing. Can't believe a company this size can't get a simple app right and I would encourage people not to buy until it's been fixed. Shame because the programme itself is quite effective if listened to regularly.

I downloaded this quite a few months ago but never tried it....so other day I was feeling so desperate and was sat researching getting a gastric band and this app came up so I thought well I've got it I'll give it a go not thinking it will be any good..... I never usually write reviews, however these apps actually do work. When I came out of the army I was very sceptical about counselling for some issues I had, but went with it and had a course of hypnotherapy sessions which amazingly really helped. Since then I have used many Paul McKenna apps and they really do work. Where I have tried to diet before I have struggled, but using this app I genuinely have eaten less, but felt more fun and lost 5lbs in my first week. If you don't buy into it and put the app on in the background this is not going to work, but if your willing to really give it a go. Play it in headphones and do what Paul says it really will. Pauls apps have genuinely changed my life and I am truly grateful.

After trying a number of different diets (3 day, 5:2, low carb) and finding the process quite tortuous and miserable, and failing to loose the 10lb I gained (change in jobs more sedentary and a lot of food and drink over Christmas). I decided to try this app. I did read the reviews which were helpful and some commented that the content wasn't particular great, I thought it was worth a try. So far I am 14 days in, have lost 5lb and found the process quite painless. I would recommend this and advise not to think about whether the content makes sense or not just follow it without question and it works!

I got this and had high hopes for it. First off, the app kept crashing on me, but when it did work properly, I found it a complete waste of time. Mr McKenna gets really very boring when you’ve heard the same ‘words’ for the third or fourth night in a row. I thought that for the money, he would do a different hypnosis thing, building on what he had said the day before, but no, it’s just the same one played over and over again. Very pleased with this App. Found it worked very well and meant I only needed to eat small meals and was never hungry. A side effect of the hypnosis was that every mouthful of food had so much flavour, even mashed potato! Also found the hypnosis very relaxing. You can ignore the hypnotic suggestions and just eat normally but if you allow them to work, believe in what Paul McKenner says and stop eating when you start to feel full it works wonderfully. Highly recommended App.

I was sceptical but have been a Paul McKenna fan for years so decided to give it a go. Technically it works because, although when I eat, I'm not eating less BUT I am eating less often. I no longer have strong urges to eat and I'm not snacking between meals anymore. The point is I feel fuller for longer and although at the time of writing this I'm only on day 4, I've lost just over 2lbs already. The night trances are wonderfully relaxing and I have the best night's sleep after. Give it a try, you'll notice a difference!

This is an expensive waste of money. The app has lots of bugs. It won't let you go back over sessions, the panic button doesn't do anything and the menu in general doesn't appear to work.
I'm sure the content will help lots of people but the content is no good if you cannot get to it when you want. For example, I missed the evening hypnosis session last night, I woke at 4am and thought it would be good t listen to it now, it appears you cannot do that. I now have to wait until the next evening :( it's a real shame this as I had hi hopes for the app given the download cost. Come on Paul, sort this out for us all. Thank you.

Hi I'm on day 4 now and loosing weight quickly but are the night time hypnotic sessions supposed to all be the same and talking you through the operation? The app is so full of bugs that this might be another one. I would have expected some hypnotic messages on how to feel in certain situations and handle eating when bored or depressed. Please, please get it fixed! Not used to apps crashing and having bugs on an Apple device. It's detrimental to Paul McKenna reputation and apple apps.

Ok... Purchased this app yesterday. I have followed the instructions to the letter. On the plus side I really do feel that I don't want to eat as much as I used to. So far so good. On the slightly down side the app appears to be suffering from a reluctance to respond to common commands. It always crashes and freezes when trying to access any of the left hand side menu options.
You can sort of get around this by forcing the app to close, and then double clicking the home button and deleting the background app. After that it's a case of opening up the app again and attempting the same . Unfortunately this does not work as the app freezes again ! Ok for now maybe as if you don't need to back track you should be good to go but maybe you should really be able to do do ? It what this app should do isn't it?
I will persevere and hope I get through it ok.
It would be nice it ANYONE would actually answer a question or offer advice !!!

I really wanted this to be great and when I heard PK on radio 2 the other day I decided to give it ago, despite people saying the app kept freezing. I ignored them and spent £4.99 on the app, an amount I would NEVER usually spend! When I go into the menu it causes the app to freeze - support site doesn't even mention this despite several comments from others on this review page. Also, sound is so quiet on the trance that I had to keep turning up volume, thereby ruining my trance. RUBBISH APP, STICK TO CDs OR DOWNLOADS.

How is this app supposed to be effective when you can't even get it to play the whole way through the "very important that you listen to the instructions" section at the beginning? It cuts off before they're finished. The only way to replay is to delete the app and re-install but then you cannot start properly until tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes! Please sort this out.

App keeps freezing when I goto the menu, only way to be able to then use the app is by forcing the app to close. Don't buy till they fix this as you won't be able to use the app properly

Got part way through the introduction and just stopped and moved me onto the next section. Can't re-listen to the beginning again which means you can't do it properly.

I'm on day 6. I have found that I am eating less food. The nighttime trance is very relaxing but repetitive.
What happens after 7 days ? Will I also feel that I have a gastric band forever??
Only time will tell.

On day 4 and have definitely felt fuller quicker and left food on plate which ive not done before. Find the hypnosis quite repetitive but as its only 7 days i dont mind if it helps me lose weight.

Could be 5 star ... Maybe?

I am on day six of this, I am eating less, I do however find that everyday I have a question about something ( like, when he says don't drink with meals as the tip for the day) is that for that day or forever after?
I have tweeted him, messaged him, facebooked him, left questions on his page but you hear nothing back and there are no support contact details.
Take a look at his fb page, thousands upon thousands of unanswered questions!
Leaves a sour taste in your mouth when you realise all he wants is your money and does not really care about what happens after.
So here is one more question... How do we know if it works, is there any proof or reviews out there ?

Despite purchasing the full app, completed day 1, got halfway through day 2 and it's frozen, so can't check in or play the night time trance - tried support but you cannot raise an issue without being logged in and site won't give you a login - please fix!
