Polluted by ads

Useful for seeing sunrise and sunset around the world. However, it is polluted by ads to the point where I had to close a popup every 30 seconds, and the useable app area was sometimes restricted to half of my phone screen.

Additionally, I couldn’t see a way to view sunrise/sunset in the local time zone.

Some graphs would also be a nice addition to get a quick idea of how the sun varies over the year in different locations.

Very informative and accurate

Really like this app; very accurate for current, historical and future dates.

Another key feature - it responds to “local position” which is important to me because for navigation purposes I know when sunrise and, more importantly, sunset will occur for wherever I am.

I recommend this app.

Disappointing

There are no lines on the map indicating direction of sunrise and sunset.

As a photographer this is important to know so one can anticipate and compose the scene in advance.

Simple, useful app

Sailing, walking, gardening etc I often want to know sunset & sunrise times. Now I have them at my fingertips, with the bonus of knowing how long the dawn or dusk will be.

Simple clean UI, basic functionality. I would like to see the facility to search for a location, not have to find it manually in the map. It is not clear what time zone the time data is expressed in! An option to see times shown in GMT or local would be useful.

Good app BUT

I can’t get over that total daylight hours includes civil daylight. So scroll ahead to the solstice it isn’t 12hrs as you’d expect but 13hrs18mins.

Can this be amended please to follow conventional calculations?

Latest version can’t show times for a future date and gets summertime wrong. (The clocks go back tonight but it’s already forgotten summer time.)

Liked the app for about 60 seconds but then saw the developer has also created a hunting app. I'm sorry but I cannot support that in any way so will have to delete this app.

A simple app that does exactly what's required.

The great thing about this app is that it isn't loaded with fancy stuff. It just tells you when the sun's gonna set, when it's gonna get dark, when it's gonna get light again and when the sun is coming up. Simple. Please keep it that way!

Great App, but still displays as FREE when in-app purchase is made.

It DOES remove the advertising though. Just a personal niggle. I am requesting a refund and then happy to buy the other version which won't have the same problem.

I originally gave this five stars, but very disappointed to have taken advantage of the in-app purchase. Yes, the advertising has gone, but the app still displays as FREE. Contacted the web developer and haven't even received an acknowledgment.
