The app is a great idea and when it works properly it’s ok.

We had been using it for a few months with 1 schedule running and then one day it didn’t unlock even when it said it was in parent mode!

Can’t remember how but I managed to unlock the iPad and remove the app.

After a few months I decided to give it another try as my daughter was getting craftier at using her iPad when she wasn’t supposed to, so we installed the app again and all was well for a few months.

This time, the app locked up and the icon was removed from the desktop so I couldn’t over ride it.

I contacted the help desk who did get back to me within 24 hrs but by this point I had loaded the app on my phone, changed the schedule etc remotely for the iPad and it was still locked. The help desk told me there was nothing wrong as the app now told them it was unlocked and that was as much help as they gave me!

I googled how to go into settings somewhere and over ride the programme and unlock the app through apple settings.

The app is now removed and will never be used again!

I downloaded this app and only after I had entered my details did it tell me about the free trail and then it’s a subscription..

And no where does it give you the option to cancel.

I wish I knew that it was a subscription service from the start.

Doesn’t work on iOS, simple as that. You have to install a fake app, the controls simply don’t work and it weighs heavy on the battery. Please don’t waste your money. This is complete rubbish.

It has apple software to hide apps. It should be illegal.

I have been trying to delete this app for the past few weeks but it is still appearing when I have deleted it one million times. I wished it would stop doing it. I hate this app so I hope this won’t happen again.

I’m quite nervous about the app because of some of the reviews but I’ve found it really useful so far for revision. If it carry’s on like this I would definitely recommend the app. I haven’t used the lockdown mode yet but i really like it. Does the premium mode automatically end though?

Lulls you into a false sense if security that you’re keeping your kids safe. If they turn mobile data off for the app, they can by-pass it. Only for the very young.😡

It’s a very good app and I love the concept it allows me to study more which is a great thing as I love self discipline, I just started uni age 18 and told my mum to control my screen time however there’s a lot of bugs, when I wake up in the morning my whole internet connection is gone even though my mum puts it on parent mode and it’s very important I use internet connection for payment methods on transportation and use google maps and for research. Therefore I need to wake my mother up in the morning asking for the password and have to press lockdown then back to parent then turn off my phone and turn it on, then I press airplane mode and then turn it off, it’s very complicated but works eventually. Please just fix that bug.

Be warned, this app will mess up your phone and any other device you connect it to!

I’ve downloaded useless apps before, even paid for some, but I have never come across something as disruptive as this app.

I downloaded this app, purely to limit the time my kids spent on there iPads. At first I thought it was great. It did exactly what it said, but after the 7 day trial, it wants you to upgrade to the premium. Ok.....but 75 quid a year! Rip off.

I deleted this app after a few days as it barely blocks apps and even though I have deleted it, it still blocks apps after a certain time and you can’t get them back so you loose everything!!!! So awful such a bad app!!!

Don’t pay for this stupid thing it rearranges all your apps and makes you log back into them. I think the developers should delete the app from the App Store. Biggest waste of time ever. Don’t install this stupid app it doesn’t even work

We have had the app installed on our children’s iPhones and took out the prescription for the premium services. It worked great generally and we loved the convenience it provides for parents. For our children, it provided consistency and clarity.

The schedules are a great feature. During weekends, our kids are allowed 1 hr of screen time each day (after homework!) and during weekdays, 15 minutes as a reward, but no later than 8 pm.

I had to reach out to customer service once or twice. The responsiveness and help received are second to none.

Our oldest (8 yrs) has worked out how to bypass the time restrictions and how to exploit the app’s limitations (mostly down to restrictions imposed in Apple’s Developer policies) and soon our youngest (6 yrs old) figured this out too, all within 6 months after we first started using the app.

The app behaved erratically on my youngest child’s device (iPhone 4s). The usage counter would continue running after use, so the next day, the app indicated that the daily limit had been exceeded by 2300%! The app wouldn’t allow extra time. We managed to resolve this by deleting the device management profile and reenabling it, which also nicely prompted reinstall of the support app that prevents apps to be scattered around out of their folders. But unfortunately the issue returned a couple of times and became too much of a hassle for a product/service that’s marketed and priced as premium.

The app also appeared to mess up notification settings and randomly logged me out a couple of times.

The 6 months were great and our kids have come to terms with limitation to screen time (and they buy-in to the reasons), but on balance, considering the app’s limitations, returning issues on my youngest’s device, the monthly premium (I think it’s a bit high for what it offers), and both kids becoming tech-savvier, it’s time for us to move on. My youngest is upgrading to a device on which we can run Apple’s native Screen Time. My oldest already has it on his device. He wants Kidslox back he says!

As we were paying monthly, we simply cancelled the Kidslox subscription.

My family have been using this app now for over a year or more. It has such comprehensive features, which have just got better and better.

There are too few apps to help us parents retain control where technology & our children is concerned. This app has revolutionised our whole family dynamic.

No longer do I have to fight to get the iPad from my daughter when screen time is up. I set the daily limits, and when her two hours is up, the device goes into auto lockdown. I say what can and can’t be accessed when she is able to use the device. I can customise what features I allow and when.

Now my child knows if she won’t give back the device I can put it immediately into lockdown mode from my device, rendering her device useless.

She can ‘earn’ more time by good behaviour and doing jobs. It’s now used as a reward, instead of dominating our lives.

It has a schedule I can set for wake up time in mornings, and auto lock down at bedtime so no midnight usage if night waking.

Personally I feel this app should come as standard on all devices so that parents can take control. Also it enables device sharing, as there’s the option for parent & child mode. So I can still use the devices unhindered.

It works by using a private VPN.

Cannot recommend this app highly enough!

This helps me control what my 13 year old daughter sees on her phone. She used to be constantly attached to her phone on different apps and internet sites. I found out that she was talking to people she didn’t know which scared me. Now it’s just a phone, she can’t go on the internet without me knowing as I can lock and unlock it. The apps which she used to talk to people have been deleted and she can’t download any new app either. I can control it from my phone as well which is even better.

Love the way the app automatically locks down my kids iPads. All the icons disappear like magic. Best part is I can control it all from my own phone.

Works brilliantly. When I had an issues with an app not reappearing I had quick response from support who guided me through the fix. Well worth the subscription I think.

My 13yo daughter found a way to disable it within 24hrs.

On the upside while she was working out how to do that at least she wasn’t on snapchat I guess.

Handy little app to control screen times… also like the fact that you can restrict each and every app individually … however, I wish the restricted app worked with the daily limits… it just restricts it forever… they cannot use it even during their allotted time… For instance, I wanted to restrict the time on YouTube, Instagram and Safari only… but as it stands now, my son doesn’t even gets his important whatsapp and Skype messages during the lockdown time… Please work on this!

This was great while it did the job (for us that is, not our son...). Unfortunately he’s worked out how to delete the profile at will so it’s essentially useless. Shame as it did genuinely help for a while.

This app is fantastic it keeps my family safe.

FaceTime especially.

The app worked as advertised but made a real mess of my phone in the process. Icons would never re-appear in the same place and would be scattered across multiple pages as groups were deleted. I also started to receive lots of access request prompts which were quite annoying.

This app completely messed my daughters phone it blocked her camera even though settings were unlocked. It deleted a lot of her apps and the icon thing never loaded on her phone or mine. I deleted the app and the had to reset her phone from cloud back up to get back her apps.

I like the idea of it but it need some improvement

IF I COULD DO 0 STARS I WOULD this app seemed good after a few hours but then the next day when I switched my phone on most of the important apps on my phone deleted completely including the ones that CANT BE DELETED such as the App Store . I soon went to the Apple shop and they said this app came with a virus PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP

almost deleted this app for the amount of times it keeps asking me to give a review, and in the process diverting me to a different area of the app to what i need ...hope that stops now. thank you.

Ok app but I find myself having to log in nearly once a week as it logs me out.Also the rather annoying “do you find this app useful” pop up is tedious

The mode switcher has recently been made a premium purchase and the schedule rarely works on time, good idea but disappointed to be forced to buy premium with the very few free features

Ok I hate this app and I hate it mostly because of what happens when I deleted it. So 1st it was pretty rubbish and my child has all these games hundreds of them tons and tons of apps and she has them sorted out and as soon as the lock comes off boom they are all jumbled up all of that organization and she can't remember where they all went.

So i decided to delete this but it kept on coming back when the time limits finished and jumbled everything up again totally mad. Then it completely deleted app store so she hasn't got it back for over 3 weeks now but finally it came back. I have just worked out how to delete a child phone of it so hopefully i don't see it again

Fantastic and I mean it !

Everything was working fine for a few months, I liked it although it was quite limited. Then it cocked up all the settings saying my son had been on 6 hours in a day when his phone was home and he was at school then it continually did that every day. He was being locked out every day. I queried this with kl so we were asked to delete the apps on both machines and reload. We did this and still had different problems. It wasn’t great and we all got more and more frustrated with this application that we stopped payments for it as it hadn’t worked for a few weeks. Now we are in a circular situation in that we allegedly haven't completely finished properly, so we got back in touch with kl and they asked us to go through their finishing procedures, we clicked their link and attempted to and we got stuck after the email & password was entered and was then asked for a pin, which we forgot, so we keep hitting the forgot my pin dialogue box and it takes us back to enter email & password, and on and on and on. The password which we wrote down was perfectly correct. So now i await their helpline again. I want this sorted but it looks like it has a way to run yet. The only good thing is their support people do contact you, however we are yet to establish closure of this, I’ll let you know. Such a shame, I thought this would be the answer to controlling phone-time.

Been using this for over a year now. Does what it says on the tin - great for monitoring and controlling how much time my kids spend on their iPads. However, the rate of development is slow - no significant new features have been added. E.g. no support for Windows devices, no ability to whitelist specific applications. There's a ton of potential here but the product isn't moving fast enough.

Been using this for a while for my kids and seems to work ok. It can be glitchy and recently does not follow the right schedule set when it can be active/locked down.

Most recently my subscription changed from premium to basic with the latest update despite having paid through November for premium.

I now cannot “unlock” or change the phone status. The only option is removal.

Very annoying..... 🤬

Have found this app really useful. I like being able to block certain apps, change the amount of time our kid can watch the tech. I think the controls are spot on.

It has a few annoying things (like reordering apps) but nothing that I wasn’t told about at installation.

Absolute trash

When u delete it it just keeps reappearing saying update to premium and it is really annoying because then u have to delete it again and again plus don’t update to premium because it mucks up your phone even more

we are now getting to know our children again.

This app installed on my husbands phone has removed his apple App Store icon, so when this app didn’t install correctly and he deleted so he could redownload and setup again he now has no way to add apps! Utter rubbish! Never even got to the stage of controlling the kids

Great product for limiting time on devices and controlling what kids can access. One improvement would be the ability to time limit specific apps eg 1 hour per day on YouTube.

B to the A to the D

This app messes up your display settings, rearranges/deletes icons, and then can’t be uninstalled. This is apparently a known problem that the developers don’t tell you about until after download. There is a workaround suggested involving downloading another app which sits permanently ‘uninstalled’ in your device.

Had to restore previous backup to get my phone working again.

Found this app easy to use and great for controlling daughters iPhone not that she likes it. Lots of great features to regulate what they doing and how long they spending on there social media. Lock down feature is excellent.

I have had this App from the early days and through feedback with the team, I have grown to trust this. The main positive is limiting my children to 2 hours iPad time per day. I can reward them from anywhere with extra time, or lock their iPads down if needed. The ability to prevent App Store access is vital, as a shared family Apple account I don’t want them downloading inappropriate apps.

This App has a lot to offer, though as a parent the time lock is huge positive. Limit your kids time and watch them actually play with toys and have an imagination. Just like you and I did as a child.

Great idea but with iOS restrictions these apps fail to deliver. User interface is great. However my son quickly found out that enabling airplane mode prevented him from being locked out of his apps.

I liked the VPN approach to locking out internet access however my Fingbox already controls that and using the OpenDNS Family shield name server I am reasonably content that most unsuitable content is filtered. I have found also that locking the iPad causes him to look else where e.g. Wii. so supervision and conversations will be the way forward.

This is a great app for what I want as long as there is no way the kids can get round it.

I tried it out and it messes up my apps out of the folder every night and will come back all though I have deleted this app
