A great start

A fantastic start from the guys at Shudder. I recently subscribed and I’m impressed, I really hope they continue to do their own stuff, especially documentaries such as Horror Noire. My only small issue is that it’s not gonna be long before I watch everything, more content please Shudder!! #HorrorGeek

Love the app

Can’t stop watching, lots of otherwise unknown films and series and some great older titles that I had years ago on video tape but haven’t seen since. My only suggestion would be an option to pause when casting to chromecast, if there is one I haven’t been able to find it yet.

So many things wrong with this and the app on tv.

It needs updating so bad as we do live in a fast world.

Most of the movies that look great are foreign or budget with bad acting and about 7% is something you can sink your teeth into I don’t think I will keep this

Excellent service.

As a big horror fan, I have loved my first year of this service. The app offers new and exciting titles with great exclusives like You might be the killer, Still/born, Christmas presence and much more. It would be cool if you could download a film to watch offline, but overall a great app. Worth the price.

Less than £50 a year to watch all horror movies, series etc you want.

Superb quality.

Extremely large variety and huge list of good titles.

What you want. When you want. Where you want. No ads. No fuss.

Can’t understand what all of you are complaining about.

I found this £50 very well spent and I can’t thank Shudder enough for being so professional.

Amazon version better

Apparently this and the version of shudder on amazon are totally independent of each other. If you have a prime account subscribe through amazon as the content is better plus you can download. I have to say I found this app to be very buggy. Thumbs down.

Hey was wondering before I buy an Apple TV is the shudder app compatible with the Apple TV? I’d love to be a able to watch shudder through my Apple TV!

So frustrated with this App!

So many problems with the App. Shudder is a good streaming library with loads of good horror movies but the App is so bad, it takes away any pleasure of the streaming service. Constantly crashing and slow in responding, the Shudder App is the worst paid streaming services that’s I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with!

Long way to go before I sub again

I’m a huge horror fan and 90% of what I watch is in the genre. I’m not a huge Hollywood, big budget person either, so this seemed perfect. Sadly, there isn’t a lot of choice that isn’t already on the likes of the Horror Channel, which I get as part of my tv subscription, though there are a few titles on Shudder I haven’t seen for years, it isn’t enough to warrant a monthly subscription charge. I’ll stick with Netflix.

I downloaded this app cause I’m obsessed with horror films and thought it was a great idea the app itself runs fine don’t pause during films however the films are so boring and unheard off which is pointless paying £4.99 a month for movies that are boring 10 mins in wouldn’t recommend

Charged for a FREE trial.

I opted for the free trial and basically unsubscribed straight away because the choice on the app is basically horrible. Everything seemed poorly executed and there wasn’t much choice. However, I checked my bank statement and was shown to be charged even though it states that you wouldn’t be if you cancelled before the end of your free trial. A scam in all honesty. Stick to netflix and watching your movies online rather than buying into this. It’s not worth the hassle or money. Just click away and pretend this app/service doesn’t exist.

Amazing range

A high quality range of viewing choices. The app on the iPad is fine. Watching it through Amazon Fire Stick and there are problems with consistent streaming. Also, how about a ‘Cheesy Screams’ section? With fab old 1980s & 1990s films like the Nightmare on Elm Street films, Evil Dead films? Ok, they are more mainstream, but they have a cosy place in horror history: many of us started with those and got more sophisticated later on!

When i reach that point where you have to choose annual or monthly or free trial and i press the button free trial lead me to the payment of annual subacription.

Smells a bit scamming, because if you just think you get a free trial, you already spent almost 50 quid...

Podcast Pain

I signed up just so I could listen to the latest episodes of the podcast Deadly Manners a week ahead of normal. Really disappointed to find that the podcast actually plays as a video and not as audio on its own! This means that my screen has to stay on while I’m listening and eats through my battery, and forget about listing on the go with the phone in my pocket! I hope that an audio only podcast feature is added soon!

You'd be a GHOUL not to...

This really has become one of my essential streaming services. A great selection of both new and old, bringing the best of what the horror genre has to offer from all corner of the globe. The app itself is easy to use and is very reliable. The few interactions I've had with the people behind the scenes has been first class.

If I was being hyper critical I'd say that it would be nice to have a basic A-Z as well as the collections (which is neat but can be subjective) and, like other have stated, if Shudder had the download option then I could see myself doing away with the likes of Netflix and Amazon to focus on services like Shudder.

All in all it's a brilliant service that I will hold onto for a very, very long time.

A great place to get a lot of my faves and some obscure and new movies. Easy to use and very good value. Would be nice to be able to download but probably some licensing restrictions or cost issues involved. If you love horror, GET THIS.

Great idea

Finally a streaming service for horror fans, loving this app. My only problem with it is it won't let me rate or review movies anymore it just kicks me back to the home screen when I try. Other than that it works just fine and has a good selection.

What's not to love.

I've recently ended my satellite subscription, monthly payments were getting stupid. But I missed my horror movies. So I gave this a free trial. Loved it, subscribed and for £47 a year I get to watch horror when I want, I was paying £52 a month!! For my satellite subscription, so it's a no brainer. The movies on it are brilliant, from your 70's vampire classics, gore, slashers to art horror. There is something on there for every horror fan.

This app is simply horrible. Not only is the movie selection minimal and all from low cost, uncommon movies, it is also a poorly designed app. I couldn't even watch a movie the entire way through. Do not waste your money on this piece of crap app.

Good when it works

The app is perfect but if you try to use it with chrome cast it rarely plays a full film without stuttering/freezing completely at least a few times. Once those tech issues are sorted it'll be awesome.
