I thought I would try the app out and used the free 3 day trail but the app charged me instantly and now having to request a refund through apple. Do not use if you want to try the ‘free’ trail first

I downloaded this thinking that all the filters were free. They are not. I’m very disappointed. Also the filters that are free don’t do anything to the picture so it looks exactly the same. Do not download. Download PicsArt instead much better app. 👎🏻👎🏻

The app has changed drastically over the past few versions and I can no longer find some of the features I used to use. Instead, the app pushes expensive IAP. Disappointing, I’ll be moving on — avoid unless you’re keen to pay £30 annually for a photo editor!

I was looking for an app so i can edit my pictures for free and one where i couldnt pay to download the app,but when i tapped on it to use it i pressed continue for all of them after i read them but the last one said “get premium” there was absolutely no way i could use this app without getting the premium and paying. Why is it that every FREE app in this AppStore demands some kind of PAID subscription before you can use it?!?! I can’t understand how greedy one company can be, this app is free to download but that’s it!! Straight to a subscription page!! Obviously getting some commission for putting them out there but it’s time wasting and battery consuming to be led to believe an app is free! Saying in app purchases doesn’t cover needs a subscription, it’s boring

Choose subscription before seeing the app!
Why must developers use this subscribe then cancel model? Open the app first time and you’re asked which subscription model you’re going to sign up to BEFORE you’ve even had a chance to see what the app can do. What’s wrong with giving the user a week to try out the app and THEN ask them to subscribe, shutting off access to premium features if the user chooses not to.
Yes you get a ‘free’ week before you get charged but how many people forget to cancel? Is that what the developers are hoping?

Awesome
This app is super good!! I use it on nature photos, selfies and to take pictures of other people. There are features you have to pay for but I don’t mind because there are a tone of really good filters that you don’t have to pay for! I use this on almost all of my pictures and I definitely recommend it!!

I love this app and I only got it yesterday everything about this app is great but the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because to unlock all the features you have to pay 💰 and there lots of features to unlock if you don’t want to pay you still have lots of features but but when you pay you get a lot like you can change what the app looks like on your Phone iPod or iPad get more features and stuff like that. I just think when you get an app you shouldn’t have to pay for the features and that goes for every app the people who make the app just want to make money 💰 🤑 so they make the game addictive and then say you have to pay and then you might think you should pay because it’s a good game so lots of people could’ve got the app and then they had to pay so they pay and the person who made the app will get lots and lots of money 💴 so they might become greedy over money or if they were kind they could donate it so that’s why you should never pay for an app you can if your parents give you permission but it’s still a bit bad

Nice approach to photo apps
After an initial play around, I couldn’t save a copy of photos but a quick mail to support has sorted this out. 👍 to responding promptly offering help and guidance. Good use of filters, lots of free options and interesting ways to rethink taking photos.

Slick. But why bother?
A slick app. But left me feeling uninspired to part with any money.
Sliding your finger around an image alters the tint in some unspecified ways. It’s frustratingly random. Greenish, brownish, blueish yeah whatever.
The great thing with Lomography (the inspiration for this and a thousand other photo apps) was that the quirky effects on film were slightly unpredictable. The lack of predictability felt beyond control, and therefore somehow serendipitous, pleasing and creative.
This app just feels too much. There is no limit to the vastness your potential creativity. You drown in a tinted ocean of possibilities. Hence the preset filters. A nod perhaps to the frustration many people might’ve felt at being given a blank canvas over which they have no apparent control.
The UI is a bit odd for something so simple. eg choosing a photo doesn’t take you into edit mode as you’d expect. It takes you into a kind of pre-edit mode from where you press a fairly conventional settings button or press something with a plus sign on it which unconventionally gives you sharing options.

The basic app is OK, but nothing special. I would probably purchase the PRO upgrade if the cost was remotely reasonable, but £6.99 a month, £17.49 annual or £38.99 for a one time purchase? - Seriously?

Love this app for cropping videos
This is the only app I’ve found where you can crop a video to a custom viewing section of the frame, cutting out anything around the edges you don’t want in the shot. The other standard and bonus editing tools are good too and you can work in video, Live Photo or regular photos.

Unless I’ve done something.... Downloaded the app, clicked on it, comes up with a spiny thing from there I presume you select ‘photo’ or whatever. It won’t let me select & just spins around - useless.

Meh App
I found this app hoping for something that could help you create really cool filters that don’t exist yet. But what happens? The opposite. It’s an OK app, but it’s literally like a lame version of Instagram or Foodie. I wouldn’t get it, because if you want a good editor then you have to pay. I’d get Foodie, PicsArt, Pic Collage E.T.C but maybe not this.

Pay wall blocking certain tools
Previously the app was great, I could have access to all the tools without having to spend a single penny; the only in app purchases were a selection of pre made filters, which I didn’t need because the whole point of the app is to make your own. However with it’s most recent update two of my favourite and most used tools were locked behind an extortionately high monthly subscription for the use of 3 things. £64.99 to use them forever without a subscription. Greedy developers have ruined the premise of this app

Not what I originally bought
This used to be a lovely simple app that filtered your photos infinitely as you gently moved your fingers around the screen. Now with all the bloat and nagging to get you to pay a ridiculous £69 for the pro version and the addition that after the last update it now crashes every time I try to take a picture I have no use for it on my phone....

Filters for Live Photos
Love this app for applying filters while retaining the “Live” nature of photos taken with my iPhone.
The “inclusive” drag your finger around to create a filter is very random, and not as useful as I’d like. I wish there was a “go back” option when you move past a filter effect that you liked. Perhaps circular motion to cycle through filter creation; clockwise = forwards, anti-clockwise = back over what you’ve gone past?
Also, when applying filters, I wish the filter list would auto scroll to the left so you don’t need to move your finger (other than up & down to select the next filter). Currently you need to scroll then select, scroll then select.

Problem
I was able to download this app for free thanks to a giveaway on the Apple Store App. I’m glad it was free as it just doesn’t work for me. The problem is the app doesn’t ask me for permission to use the camera. Thus meaning I cannot get past the tutorial. Great concept but not pulled off well. Please fix this.

Infinitely bad
Yes it’s true. There are infinite filters. An infinite number of bad filters. Filters are supposed to change the tone, detail, hue etc.. about your photo. These filters are basically like slapping some coloured see through paper over the top of your photo. Great now my photo looks yellow. Now it looks green. Oh now it looks yellowy green. Poor quality. Plus who wants to kee scrolling forever until they find a colour they like. Very unproductive and frustrating. Give this one a miss.

Not bad not good
So you have to pay £1.99 to download the app, and then you have to pretty much purchase the Pro version to get all the things advertised. It’s a little misleading. So I paid £1.99 + £6.99 to be able to use the app to its full potential as advertised on the App Store. I think that’s a little unfair considering the App Store makes it sound like it’s all a base feature. Essentially you’re paying for what should be a free app with paid add ons - which I would have preferred.
That aside, the app itself is actually pretty okay, the filters are actually lovely and I have had a blast discovering the different filters and making my own. All in all the app itself is fantastic.
Using the apps built in camera with the “pro” feature is a little slow on my iPhone 6s. It has already caused 3 crashes and it just lags behind. When I move my phone it jitters and takes 2-3 seconds to move along with it. Perhaps the app isn’t perfectly optimised for the 6s and would be much better on the 8 and 10.
I would definitely recommend the app, but it gets a 3 from me due to having to purchase extra features just to unlock everything mentioned in the App Store adverts.

Crashes without taking a single photo
As soon as I hit the button to take photo the app just crashes. I have about 2 GB free space in my iPhone 6 Plus which should be sufficient. Apparently not!! Worst purchase ever made. £1.99 down the gutter. Avoid the app.
