The purchase will be charged from your iTunes account if you choose to buy the Buddy Premium subscription. The subscription period ends with the same kind of subscription you already bought to the same price unless you turn off your subscription 24 hours before it renews. It is not possible to cancel your current subscription during the time your subscription is active.

It’s okay

It’s a good app but it’s for budgeting so you can look after your money but you want us to pay like £40-£50 for premium for all the extra stuff like connecting your bank account so it can track what you spend and whatever BUT THE APP IS TO HELP YOU SAVE AND LOOK AFTER MONEY?????!!!!!! What is the point seriously???

Good but a major bug yet to be fixed

Update - recurring transactions still do not work and the developer is studiously ignoring all feedback regarding this. Absolute rubbish that they can't get such basic functionality right. Don't bother with this app, not worth the money.
I like the app - it looks nice, it's easy to use and in theory it should do everything I want but it has a major bug which needs to be sorted out pronto - the recurring transactions are completely hit and miss. Some work, some don't and every month I have to go and manually add the missing ones which defeats the point of having scheduled transactions! I've reported this via the app numerous time but never once had a response from the developer. I won't be renewing my subscription if this isn't sorted out.

Wouldn't link to partner and didn't give them my premium (which said it would in FAQ)

Tried to link app to partner which it did on their side but not mine. Also didn't give them premium too, which i bought, as it said it would in FAQ. not sure what to do about this as would like to use the app

Widget bug

The app is easy to use and customize but there is a bug with the category display. After I changed the details of categories for the shortcut, it turned blurred and couldn’t show the text of sorts. 🥲🫠

Decent enough app but recurring transactions dont work

The app is good enough, but for some reason only some recurring transactions are transferred into the next month, for example say you have 4 transactions set to every month day 1, only a couple show for some strange reason.

excellent app

brilliant app, exceeded expectations especially for the free version. im even considering going premium in the future when i can afford it (which should be soon thanks to my new clear budget) its easy to navigate, can add your own categories and options, any currency, honestly cant find a fault with this app. it does everything it says and more. would definitely recommend.

Great app, at least used to be

It used to be great app. Whoever is your new UX designer, the app is getting worse with every update. Before everything was on main screen and I could track my daily budget and add expenses by clicking a single button. Now with 9.0 version everything is scattered around and I’m afraid I will have to start looking into an alternative app 😔

Apple Watch app does not work

Data Exports should be basic feature

This is a great app which I’ve used for a long time but I find the idea of paying for monthly membership to export my data incredibly outdated. Data belongs to the user and should be free of charge to export into a basic .csv file

Forever Using Buddy App to Manage My Finances

Have been using Buddy for about a year now and it’s helped me to stay on track with my budget. As a student money is tight and need to know incomes, expenses (including fixed and variable expenses) and also make projection for the next month or 2. Buddy does exactly that and more.
Buddy has helped me to track me debt and currently on course to start savings for the future, like getting a house. I would highly recommend Buddy to anyone new to managing personal/family budget or finances.
The developer is friendly and consider feature requests to the app and making improvements and updates frequently.

Great app

The app is great! Helps me keep track of my spending, one issue tho.
Been putting in my expenses for November based on my income but when we got to December I expected those inputs and budget to carry over it didn’t. Gave me blank slate for the new month

Good at first

The latest update is making the app not work properly. I can’t edit the budget properly. Existing values disappear. I liked how I could add categories but now you can’t and I have to pay for that function now.

Love, but new bugs!

I love and use this app a lot, but after the most recent update there’s been a few bugs! After the latest update after a certain point the “left to spend” and “projection” categories big, so fixed recurring expenses aren’t taken into account when creating the daily budget. This obviously breaks an otherwise great app, as it means that you can’t actually use it to work out a reliable daily budget! I hope this gets fixed soon!

Very easy to use

I have tried several apps to help me control my finance but I always give up after some time. This app seems to work the best.
The design makes it really easy to see what you spend and what you have left in your budget.

Balance doesn’t transfer over?

I like this app because unlike my bank’s banking app to review my purchases, it shows a nice little % breakdown of where my money has gone each month and a pie chart to go with it.
However, now onto my second month of using it, my overview balance hasn’t carried on from last month? How can this be right?
Like most people, I get paid at the end of every month so my balance isn’t going to be above £0 until I get paid which makes no sense? Am I missing something?

Good looks bad performance

The app looks beautiful can’t lie, but when it comes to usability not nearly as good.
Setting up a budget is quite easy but gets messy very easily if new categories are created. The app keeps resetting the new categories from both budget and personalised add screen. It does not save the order if the categories are rearranged and sometimes it does not even save newly added sections.
Recurring transactions are also very buggy as if you’re sharing the budget with another person these appear on both phones greyed out with an ‘Add now’ button which does not go away after the other person has pressed it.

Subscription!?

Seriously? £5 a month to use your app!? That's ridiculous. Make it a one time purchade of 5-10£ and I'll get it, but continuously draining me is absurd... What a way to help people budget, by taking a sip from their balance every single month. No thanks, I will stick to free alternatives like Acasa.

Problems

Hi is a good app, my son by mistake cancelled the app and can’t access the account because I forgot password, still there is no option to reset it ....
Disappointed as I have lost all the data.

Crashes and bugs

Having just bought a subscription and input my custom categories, I ran into a number of bugs.
Clicking the Budget tab caused numerous crashes. In Edit Budget, my custom categories did not appear and some default categories that I removed appeared. In Edit Budget when I try to create a new category, it causes the app to crash.
Currently unusable and I require a budget app for uni, starting in a week. If this app won’t work I’ll be forced to use another, and I’d want a refund.
Love the interface though! 5 stars if it was usable for me.

A grand waste of time...

A massive shame that this “budgeting” application just does not work at all. Shame... Shame... Shame... The “developer” is also useless as well. Stay clear of this rubbish which is a grand waste of time, indeed. For the life of me, I just cannot understand WWWHHHYYY in the name of God people waste their precious time coding something as worthless as this application. Go figure... Have a nice day dear “developer...”

Good potential

I’ve used numerous finance apps to track my finances and visual budget.
Being a new user to this app I can already see the usefulness for me, I’ve got more flexibility over my budget, with a really user friendly UI.
What would be a great addition to the budget feature would being able to see a weekly budget also 😬🙂.

It’s great but..

Absolutely love this app & it’s so handy! But every time I create something like a budget & click off the app, it deletes what I’ve done when I go back on it :( I don’t know why it does this but if there’s a quick fix, let me know!!

WTH...

No idea what is going on, this would be a great app except it is holding no information that is being input - I have just spent an hour getting everything on it, only to find I have gone to add another expense and everything has been erased bar one income!
Pointless app until they fix this error!
