Fantastic
Man, I've been waiting for this app for years. This thing has blown me away. The amp sounds are unreal, the effects are brilliant as well as rendered beautifully . It is such a versatile piece of kit that it's a pleasure to play with. I have purchased the iPad version and I am hoping that because I have done so I can also download it onto my pc. It's great for just sitting with the rest of the family while plinking away practicing. But I have yet to put it through my amp. Can't praise these guys enough for letting me sit with my family or go into my home studio . 👍

Metronome fixed at last
Thank you for fixing the the metronome volume. Now the volume goes to zero and I have a visual to assist my timing.
Keep up the good work guys. This is best FX appmto play live and for bass.

im having to ask this here as you have an xdrummer app that you sell that is in beta stage and you have not updated to correct the issues. Dont pretend you dont know what the issues are, get xdrummer fixed as ive paid good money for an unusable program, and stop ignoring the complaints and request for updates on the xdrummer review page, disgracefull money grabbing company you have become!

I’m converted
I have about £2k’s worth of guitar amp, pedals, cab and everything, was always a pain to cart to gigs. Now i have a single flightcase with interface, ipad, bias and my guitar. The sound is excellent, and its ease of use is brilliant. I put someone on it at an event where they were stepping into a venue for the first time to play guitar for someones wedding, and after playing for a short time, they were following the guitar cable to find what amp i was using. Their mind was blown when they saw it was just an ipad using the jack output from the ipad creating the sound.
The road to your ideal sound is in here, but it isnt a quick process. The customisation is amazing, but it will take you a good while to get your ideal sound, same as with amps you buy. You have to learn them to know what they sound like and to learn to love the sound.
I am a highly competant studio engineer, mix and master engineer, and i can really sculpt the tone to where i want, i think others may struggle a little. You have to understand what things sound like and what you’re aiming for.
The great thing about this system is if you put a pedal in the chain and you can’t quite mainain a tone between it being on and off, you can put an eq next to it to adjust. The app is only limited by the power of your ipads chip. I have around 30 pedals and 2 amps set in my chain and on an ipad pro 12.9”, that is only using 30% cpu.
The only thing i would like is a parametric eq that makes a little more sense as i end up with a few nasty harmonics when i have got the tone i want and it can be difficult to cut them out without making the tone dull, etc.
The power that you can tweak pedals and amps internally is amazing, i have made my own distortion pedal that sounds savage. I love this app. I lost 6 hours to it yesterday!

Don’t update to 1.6.0
This new version 1.6.0 disables all output when a cabinet is engaged (eg Direct Out mode) meaning to hear anything you have to disable the cab. This makes the sound pretty poor as the cab sim is needed for headphone or direct output. For now this makes the app pretty useless for me. Logged as a bug with Positive Grid, but until it’s fixed DONT UPDATE.

It's a shame you can't have different cab options and speaker options etc in Bias fx.i have all the apps Bias amp Bias pedal and jam up pro. I only use Bias fx as it gives me more of the sound I like. So please add the cab and speaker options etc to Bias fx.

Good (also bad until they fix it)
Tones sound great and the cloud is insanely helpful. Only 2 stars because after a minute the sound becomes very crackly rendering the app unusable. Would be nice if we could get a fix...

Great sounds
Great quality sound, lots of variety and easy to get started with. Especially for virtual guitar and other instruments via the mighty AudioBus. There should be a way to audition sounds in the store, though.

Pedals removed????
Why after the update have you took away pedals I already had and are now expecting me to buy them, as far as I'm concerned I already paid for those pedals when I bought the app, does this mean you are planning on taking away more pedals I'm already using in future updates?

Amazing piece of software
Fantastic piece of software. In conjunction with the iRig HD, this software is good enough to gig/practise with. Highly recommended for guitar players. I also have the desktop version and the iPad version is just as good, and the fact that it is mobile might even make the iPad version better.
You can also share the FX setups that you have designed through Positive Grid's cloud based 'tone cloud', which means that you can then download created setups onto your desktop version and use them there with your chosen DAW.
Another useful piece of hardware is the IK BlueBoard which is a Bluetooth pedal board. You can also connect an expression pedal to the BlueBoard and set that up to control the Wah pedal. Very cool!

The best app for guitarists
This is a fantastic app! I have been playing guitar , building amps and recording music for 25 years. I have played through most of the equipment replicated in this app in real life and Bias Fx perfectly captures the tone and feel. This one app has cut down the equipment needed and time spent to record yet still brings top quality results. Simple to use yet intuitive and beautiful presentation as well. The Tone cloud allows you to download a multitude of free setups from other users so your never pressured into the IAP that are on offer. Any guitarist should have this, it's a brilliant portable amp and a breeze to hook up to DAW software. This simple inexpensive product really will change the way you make music. Rock On!!

Need ios9 update badly
Since updating to ios9 I get a horrible static noise that comes and goes at will, sometimes if you turn off/on low latency or stereo mode it will start or stop the noise. But it seems pretty random and not directly related to anything.

Nice visual, decent sounds, in spite of all I still get the best sound, round, full smooth or booming, from Ampkit and use bias as a pedal over Ampkit. The ipad version is excellent because it precisely allow you to integrate other virtual effect, including Ampkit, amplitube etc....

Its definitely a big improvement
Can't argue with the improvement in sound quality and the tone sharing features, however I seem to be having to buy all the fx for this new package after buying everything for the JamUp"PRO" package - not so pro after all - does feel like being raked for cash.
Then theres the desktop,version of amps and fx. It adds up to quite a bit of cash - maybe a hardware unit is a better investment as it will continue to function after I've trodden on it several hundred times.
Whats up! now you cant preview other user sounds if they have fx in the rack you havent bought. Nice touch.

Buggy as hell
You really don't expect an app at this price to be full of bugs, but this really is. I only bought it tonight, iPad mini & iRig pro. So far, about 7 crashes, one freeze on app restart and no end of howling feedback. There's no way to choose an input and it seems random whether on starting up it notices the iRig or not. If not you just get the usual screaming. Restarting the iPad allowed the iRig to be found but after Bias fx crashed, there was no input again.
The sounds themselves are very good, at least the amps are. The effects are fine, but not really much better than jam up pro.
Also no in app looper or MP3 player for jamming along, though it does support background audio.

Initially thought it was overpriced
But having watched user reviews on YouTube I decided to buy. I now realise the asking price isn't expensive at all when you consider the equivalent windows software will cost more than £100. The quality of the sound is immediately apparent over all the other guitar fx apps. This one stands out in tone and clarity.
The range of features extensive. It's not a toy but a serious guitar fx system.

The future!
Fantastic sounding intuitive app. I've now put my swr rig in storage. Using this now live with in ear monitors and my pedal board. it does everything I need with midi foot control. Looking forward to more fx👍🏻

Massive leap forward
This is the definitive guitar fx set up, it really is a completely different beast to jam up, so for £20 if you want to upgrade to some amazing sounds with the option to include other effects via IAA , it's superb. Considering the cost of upgrading a pedal board this really is a no brainier. As soon as you can afford it, I recommend you abandon what you're currently using and buy this.

Sounds FANTASTIC!
Great, Amazing, Impressive. Crashes a lot at the moment, but I've no doubt PG will fix that soon. This company get better and better as time passes on.
I had to give it 5 stars as its superb!
It's like having an Axe FX without the cost. Ok, so it isn't as deep editing but sounds breathtaking at times. As usual, the 'Factory Presets' aren't that great but you can make some very useable tones, which sound great for studio & live applications.
Totally worth the cost.
Out of BIAS FX, the Mesa Triaxis, the Kemper Profiler (IMHO the best) & the Axe FX II XL. This is the one I would & will use live. It's less gear to carry and sounds killer!
