Stop Mithering Me

Stop being so bloody annoying and let me use this pissing app in peace. I just want to log calories as and when and not be nagged about subscribing to premium or being made to hold the screen to ‘pledge’ and update my goals and motivations because I haven’t used it for a short while. I cannot express how viscerally annoying this app is. If it were personified it would be the most snotty, annoying rat-child you have ever had the misfortune to meet and would be constantly bothering you and asking to play on your phone. The sort of child that should have been aborted quite frankly. Please, please, PLEASE just make the app do the thing it is supposed to do and don’t make it nag me about a million and one things.

Horrible UX

It asks 100s of things before signing up, I think it’s tooooooo much. When you finish, it tries to trick you into subscribing paid plan by giving “huge discount”. After that it keeps bombing you with questionnaires. I deleted it in 2 minutes. Going back to myfitnesspal.

Marketing App

The onboarding experience is horrendous. I’m not exaggerating when I say there’s about 10-15 minutes of marketing questions disguised as ‘personalisation’ before there’s a hard sell on a subscription and before you even get to the dashboard.
I was then asked more marketing questions. Removed the app immediately.

Good app but some nutrition numbers are incorrect!

Paid for 3 months and it’s very good to monitor my calorie intake however I have found quite a few items where the calories per 100 grams was mixed up with the calories per portion/piece/pack. This can be misleading and you can end up eating more calories than your daily allowance if you don’t double check on the actual product label. For a paying app these details should be checked instead of letting users save incorrect information (not to mention spelling mistakes).
I also thought I’d get more daily/weekly advise on how to boost weight loss. There are better apps out there for similar price!

Apple Health bug driving me insane

This app would be an easy 5 star but this bug is driving me nuts. Every single time I open the app it prompts me for health data which I have already accepted. It makes logging food that much harder. I’ve reached out to support but haven’t heard anything back in a week.

So annoying impossible to navigate anymore as a non pro user. I used to love this app but now will have to look elsewhere. Takes me ages to enter my meals as I get commercials every 2 seconds or comments. I just want the simple meal calory counting fonctionality nothing g else. Please give us back the old way with much less nuisance.

Nice app

Nice app but no website alternative, which is a huge turn off for me while meal prepping since I have to work both on my laptop and on the phone to add and count the calories.
Here it would help if the app had automations e.g. to repeat a meal every x days for breakfast etc.
I am unsubscribing when my pro subscription ends unless the fix at least the website option;

So many ads!

I’ve used Yazio multiple times to count calories and didn’t mind the off advert here and there but it’s now got to the point where I’ll be looking elsewhere. Logging food takes so much longer now because of all the ads you have to go through. Very disappointing.

Annoying pop ups

This has been a great app to use, simple and clean, but the latest update has brought a series of massively annoying pop ups that appear after adding every meal. What was good has turned bad

Genuinely used to love this app. I'd recommend to anyone trying to be more mindful of their dietary choices. The recent upsell of memberships and now the inclusions of ads has soured the experience. The ads make the whole thing feel so cheap. Hope the money is worth it

Not able to opt out of “motivation”

I am now giving up on this app even though it has been good for a number of years.
Everyday I am ask to confirm that I am “committed” and if I spend a few days not logging (e.g. 5 days or so) I need to literally go through 10 screens to reconfirm my goals and that I am “motivated”.
Why can I not opt out of this? I need a calorie counter that I can dip in and out of without this nonsense.

BEWARE! No free trial will be charged instantly

1. Unnecessarily long questions initially which you have no idea when will end. Frustrating but I gave so much time already I finished them.
2. This is where they trick you. You’ve spend so long answering questions you just want to see the app. The page before subscription states a free 30 day trial. Great.
3. Subscription page offers 12 months or 3 months. Fine, I have a 30 day free trial to test it.
4. WRONG. You will be charged straight away for whatever you select above.
5. No free trial after all
6. Used the YAZIO chat to ask why I’ve been charged. Answer - can’t help as it was purchased via apple
7. Thanks to apple I submitted a refund request within 12 hours of the charged. Luckily they refunded me
8. Turns out there is zero functionally unless you pay for pro
9. Huge shame as for the 2 day use between the apple decision to refund the app is great.
Unfortunately I refuse to pay for this app due to the above. If you had actually offered me the 30 day free trial (that was clearly stated) I probably would have subscribed for a full year.
Do not trust!

Lost the will to live…..

I was really eager to try this app because I’m looking for something with a fasting feature and calorie tracker. I don’t know if this has what I’m looking for because to be honest I got board with the 20 questions at the start. I want to see what an app offers, because not all fasting apps are equal, but following on from the questions I’m then faced with a decision about subscription. So I gave up. I’m not daft enough to pay for something I haven’t yet seen. I may just have missed the app of my dreams but never mind, I’ll continue my search.

I paid for a full year because this app supported Apple Shortcuts, meaning I could add food/drinks without even entering the app. This support has now been removed, meaning I have to enter the app and manually add what I want. Not as Efficient

Very difficult to utilise. The food scanner don’t recognise the labels on more than 90% of the products I’ve scaned so it’s not very easy to use. Also this app does not offer an alternative way to add in Water Fasting (for spiritual means) and health benefits, which is ridiculous. It only has pre determined fasting but those would give inaccurate results so another star lost. It also only allows you to track one bad habits at a time which is why I have given it 1 stars. Honestly I’m sorry I wasted money on this app. I will not be renewing my subscription or recommending it to anyone else. I have to use another app to get the portions right and then manually put them in here, and that is just a waste of time.

Great app

I love this app, it makes tracking everything a lot easier and it helped me get over a lot of unhealthy eating habits like eating too few calories to loose weight, I realised that I don’t need to starve to loose weight that that’s actually harmful. Now i still eat at a deficit but I have energy throughout the day and can also start working out like I used to (gym therapy <3)
My only critic would be I wish it was easier to input in meals I eat often (I have them saved)

Great app

Very good app that manages to cram a lot of health features into one app. I rarely do in app purchase but couldn’t resist this one. My only complaint is the watch app feels clunky and doesn’t use apples new design language. The watch app doesn’t support widgets and the changes made to water intake do not update on the watch (on the iPhone I switched to a bottle measurement but this doesn’t show on the watch).

Honest review

I used this app in 2020-2021 to track my calories, I wasn’t following any diet, I ate everything and tried to be careful. I also went jogging, and I’m not a fan of gym or the most sporty person on earth. I lost 15kg back then and I used to love the results: eating everything but in good quantities. Then I gained 7kg again because I stopped using it and also moved abroad. Now I want to lose weight again, I have a normal body type but I wish to come back like before. Best app ever, 5 stars!

Love the app

Amazing! Multilingual / multinational foods database, barcode scanner, fasting tracker (personally I don’t use, but it is a great feature), 100s of recipes and functional widgets.
Can connect to Apple Health and track steps. Can create meals by grouping foods together. Can create recipes. There is nothing impossible for Yazio!
My only recommendation is to be able to change emojis / icons on meals of the day. Still, Yazio will always remain my first choice calorie tracker.

Finally, a great Calorie Counting app!

I spotted this app on an iPad in a UK Apple store and decided to give it a go. After the initial trial, I was so impressed that I bought a lifetime subscription! It is constantly updated with improvements, and my only hope is that it is not over bloated with unwanted features, which has stopped me using other calorie counting apps; and trust me I've tried them all! There are a few things it could do better, for example a search doesn't always bring up my starred ⭐️ options straight away. Also, I would like a way of hiding a food from my previously chosen list, as many times I chose food in error and have replaced it with something else. Also, I'd love the option to choose from more than one database; my partner is Italian and a lot of the items we buy food items that originate from Italy. I would also, when searching, would like to be able to specify whether to search a database, my own created recipes or my own created meals. Additionally, the creation of recipes and meals could do with a little refinement. I know I have mentioned a few things but trust me, this is still a great app and I'm sure it will only get better. A big thank you to the YAZIO Team.

MyFitnessPal is better

Most of the barcodes I scan aren’t recognised and there is nowhere near as much food or supplements logged. I also connected it to my health app and it hasn’t tracked my steps on the app, bit of a joke that you can’t get a refund.

Not intuitive & much missing

I found adding foods fiddly - food searches were so generic and it wasn’t always easy to change units. One food wouldn’t offer teaspoons, I think it was single cream.
The overall layout doesn’t appeal but these things are subjective. I went back to mynetdiary which I’d forgotten, much nicer interface, track everything easily (including exercise).
I’m glad it works for others but if an app is fiddly I lose patience & if it’s not a pleasing interface I lose interest.

Finally the perfect calorie counting app!

Years of using myfitnessPal and also using Nutracheck for a while, between them never did exactly what I want. I don’t need notification, sugggestions of fitness plans etc. I just want a simple app to log calories that has an accurate database. I’ve only used this a week and I am hooked. It’s slick, simple, quick and I’ve never found it so easy to log.
I love that when adding, it shows frequent and also recent goes back in date order so it’s really easy to re-add things. I love you can turn off exercise calories and that if setting your macros percentages, it doesn’t amend your calorie goal. My favourite is that you can edit existing public foods and Yazio actually update them! Plus all foods show as 100g amounts so it’s easy to find the right one.
I’ve shared this with all my community gym members as I’ll not be reverting back to MFP or any other app. Only suggestion is separate menu to add own meals rather than adding what you eat and then adding it through there.

Great APP - Only issue is widgets in lock screen don’t refresh

I really enjoy this all and the UI is unprecedented compared to other calorie trackers.
One issue that consistently occurs at the moment is that my lock screen widget does no refresh in real time. After I update the information in the app I need to restart the phone for the update to be reflected in the widget.
I do not know if this is a fault with the app or iOS but I hope it gets resolved soon.

Firstly, I love this app as it is.. I had a problem with moving my account details. I wanted instead of having my Apple ID as login to change it to my other email, and support answered my emails so swiftly and immediately solved my problems, that I was in shock… in a good way! Recommend it in a many ways.
Thanks Lotta and love the paws with your signature!

Almost there

The app works well enough, my only gripes are that it can become glitchy and unresponsive at times, causing me to quit the app and start again, and the measurements are often infuriating.. for example if you were cooking fish fingers you would expect the data entry to allow you to count said fish fingers! But invariably it requires you to weigh them.. Can of beans? Most people have all or half a can.. nope! Gotta weigh them.
Now I understand that it’s more accurate and some people don’t mind this, but if like me you struggle to track your calorie intake at the best of times, monotonous weighing encourages me to skip tracking altogether. Lastly some not all of my frequently used entries do not appear in the list, I have to search again and again for something I ate yesterday, and in fact have eaten all week..
Plenty of potential that needs a little polish.

Be wary.

My feed back is in connection with automatic renewal contracts. This is one of them. They do not play fair under the Uk consumer rights act of informing you that your subscription is up for renewal, or give you a grace period to cancel when they have taken your money. They say it is not possible to refund if you have purchased through Apple or I tunes, quoting unable to access your payment details. A poor contract in the first place then.
Obviously have no confidence in their product if they have to cheat a consumer into paying for something they no longer want.

Hands down the best calorie tracker

I’ve never written a review before but for this app I felt I needed to make an exception. I’ve tried every other calorie counter and none make it as easy and convenient as this one.
For example, most other calorie counter apps require you to go through an entire process to create “meals”, but this app pairs foods that you often combine as meals so you don’t have to. There are countless more examples of how this app excels so just use this and save yourself time!

Almost there

I really like this app on the whole it’s very good . The one thing that lets it down is the fact that loads of the foods I search for are simply not there and end up adding it manually which is a pain My fitness pal for example has pretty much every food I put in . I would have thought after paying for the subscription you wouldn’t have to keep adding it manually. I know it’s updated and more foods are added regularly . That’s my only gripe on what’s otherwise a great app

Updated review

Ok back to 5* now, I thought the latest update ruined everything and I had a bit of a rant, but thanks to the developers’ quick response I managed to fix it. Turns out there were either 2 updates in quick succession, or my phone just had a bit of a fit. This is my favorite app for tracking calories, it has thousands of recipes so that everyone can find something for themselves. Would love to see the ability to mark recipes as favorite (this is not the same as save for later) but otherwise a great tool to stay on top of your nutrition!

Does the job

I’ve been using this app for just under a year and really enjoy it. The food tracking is good and I love the breakdown of what I’m eating each day.
I recently strayed away from YAZIO because I found the UI and design less appealing than other tracking apps such as Lifesum... when I’m paying for a subscription and using something throughout the day, it would be nice if it looked better.
The emoji style imagery on a grey square for each meal is boring. It’s just a shame when functionally the app is great, but visibly could be better.

Good app - more functions would be nice

This is a great app!!
Having used MyFitnessPal for logging my food and activity for years, it’s nice to have this app which is more streamlined to intermittent fasting.
Pros
The encouragement from the app about what stage my body is in during my fast is great!
Love the water feature - very easy!
Love the little bits of information provided about fasting - keeps me motivated!!
Cons
The app is usable as the free version but it would be nice to have some of the ‘Pro’ features enabled such as tracking my macros or allowing the app to use the different fasting time lengths without having to manually changing my times.
It would be nice if it could be linked to Strava so my activities link in automatically
All in all, the difficulties are not outweighed by the amazing ness of this app - I will continue to use it

Lost 18 kg with this app

Food tracking is absolutely essential when you want to lose weight. I used the free version only, daily for the first 6 weeks, afterwards only sporadically to check up on myself. The app teaches you to get a sense of how much energy you consume vs how much you actually need. Calory tracking does not have to be dogmatic, but if you stick with it for a little while, you’ll get a lot back. I eat vegan and really healthy, so I thought. Still, I was a bit overweight. I learnt about my intake, the importance of drinking water and macro balance and here I am: size 36 down from 42 in 12 months :)

I really enjoy the app, but some things should be accessible without premium

So I had premium for one year and it was great, but going back to the normal mode feels,, disadvantaging? I can’t track macronutrients without premium, you can’t track fasting without premium, you can’t look at the specific outline for every meal you had without premium, I can’t view recipes that I saved while I had premium. I’d much rather pay a one time 5.99 for all of the recipes than buy premium for a year again. I think you guys just took away things that are normal in normal fitness app and locked them behind a £22 premium plan that I cannot afford.

I like it!

Great app. Bar scanner doesn’t work on everything you scan & beware of some of the calorie counts, try and use the packaging too.
Certainly gives motivation and is very user-friendly. Not sure that ‘pro’ gives you much more to be honest, but none the less got it at a reduced price for the year. Nice and vibrant and works well with the health app/Apple Watch when adding exercise calories burned.

Love Yazio

I have used this app on and off for around 2-3 years, it’s so easy and educated you on where you may be going wrong.. yes Ive fallen off the wagon many times. But, each time I restart and look at alternatives, none of them inspire me enough or have what I want. i.e. Easy tracking and scanning. Just signed up again for a year and back on track. You won’t regret downloading and upgrading. Best app out there. Syncs to your scales. Your various health apps. Everything in one place.. Plus there is a Facebook group which is very supportive and informative. The app support team are also amazing and react quickly to any queries.. go for it. You won’t regret it 😀👍🏻

Unable to get a refund

Unfortunately I subscribed for a whole year to YAZIO Pro, but after using the app for couple of weeks, I don’t really find it useful for my needs. It shows different caloric values for the same product, and therefore it’s not really reliable. I have raised a refund for the remaining of the period with YAZIO, but they said it has to be done via iTunes, and they refused to refund.
I have now payed for a whole years subscription for something that doesn’t serve my needs.

Great app so easy to use

This app is brilliant! It tracks my activity, helps to keep control of my eating habits and tracks my water intake amongst other things. There are other in app purchases but you don’t have to buy them. Overall a great app that does everything you need to stay healthy and keep control of your daily activity and weight.

Pretty good

It took me a few attempts to get in to the app. I do really like the recipe suggestions though and think the paid features are worth the extra. Previous reviews have bemoaned the lack of products on the ingredients list, but this has vastly expanded now. If anything you have to look out for a few odd misleading entries that claim eg 100g of custard is 45kcal.
Very good for getting you portion size right and tracking progress.

It has potential (updated)

I switched from my fitness pal, the fact it does everything my fitness pal does and more but in a far more sleeker package won me over The app has great potential but it really needs to improve on its food library the one thing that can make or break food logging apps like this. I’ve just signed up to hello fresh so let’s see how food logging works with their menu.
Update: I’ve tried to enter a few meals I’ve cooked from hello fresh and the food data is awful I’m not sure why its so difficult to scrape this data from the hellofresh site as it’s publicly available same goes for most supermarkets here in the U.K. I barely see any verified entries for my recipes or ingredients. This is where Yazio is severely lacking behind my fitness pal. It’s no good having a nice interface if the data is awful.

Awful account implementation!

I really liked the app and kept using it for 3 weeks, until I accidentally logged out (tapped the wrong button). Now all my data and records are gone because I wasn’t informed that my account wasn’t tied to any email or Apple ID.
Now I have to start again and try to create a new account using Apple ID, but it won’t let me because it tells me that an account with this Apple ID already exists and suggest that I log in. I try to log in and it won’t let me because this time round apparently no account associated exists.
The worst part is that all the data and records are lost and unrecoverable just because I wasn’t informed that I didn’t have an account.

Beware of automatic renewal

I used this app for a while and found it helpful, however pro benefits were not worth the paid subscription. I had made sure that no subscriptions were due to automatically renew in my settings , however this app automatically renewed anyway - somehow this renewed without being renewed through itunes. I contacted them explaining my issue and was told that refund was not possible- and this is how I had to pay for another YEAR subscription ! Awful customer service- beware!

Nicely designed but crowdsourced food database isn’t properly managed.

This is a very nicely designed and easy to use app but the food database has lots of conflicting entries for the same thing. Search Nando’s or Itsu for examples but this applies to all types of foods including basics from supermarkets.
This is because the app allows any user to create new entries and make them visible to all other users. If someone enters something wrongly everyone sees it.
The upshot is that the ease of use is spoiled because you can’t just scan or search for a food. If you are in a popular restaurant or eating something very popular (e.g. eggs, carrots etc) then you have spend ages figuring out which entry to choose.
The app should allow the user to only see which entries come from the “official” database, which are the user’s own entries, and which come from other users.

Great idea but not advanced enough

Signed up for a pro account as it’s reasonably priced and offers a lot of features. However, the challenges can only be selected one at a time, so yes I want to stop drinking alcohol for 30 days but also while doing something else, but all options have now disappeared.
I’m really disappointed with the menu options in the offering, I have a rotation for the week of just four dishes, many days I am advised to eat the same for lunch and dinner! This is terrible. I’ve looked ahead and guess what, next week it’s the same four dishes again all week.
It’s not worth a penny, wouldn’t advise anyone to sign up for pro at this stage. They need more work.

Good calorie counter

I really enjoy this app. I’ve used lots of different counter during my weight loss but this is the first I’ve actually been happy to pay for. It’s nice and easy to use, the data is accurate and even if it’s not or you can’t find your ingredient adding it yourself is super easy. The recipes on here are also good; they don’t need 1000 different ingredients from specialty shops and are really delicious. Definitely recommend.

Regret this purchase

So I bought the 12 month subscription. It’s totally not worth it at all, I get the same repetitive messages telling me to drink water if I’m hungry at least 3 tines a day, the recipe section is limited , it allows for measurements that nobody cares about, the syncing with Garmin is decent but not worth paying for, I honestly feel scammed in paying for this app, I guess we all learn from our mistakes and mine was purchasing this app. There are free apps that do more and are more informative and have more information

Don’t Waste Your Money

I bought a year membership to this app and I wish I had saved my money. There’s no UK foods in this database from what I can see. Every time I scan a barcode, I never get a match. I accidentally added a food twice to my diary and I can’t seem to take it out. It’s an utterly frustrating experience and I can’t believe Apple recommended it to me. I was using it as an alternative to MyFitnessPal but I’m going to go back to that app. I didn’t pay them a penny and I got exactly what I needed from it. I was drawn to this as the recipes looked good. So disappointing. I wish I could get a refund.

Dreadful with latest update

Please revert back to previous version, the latest update obfuscates all the information that’s useful. The previous version used to list everything you’d eaten in a day on a single page, so it was easy to see if you’d added everything. This just gives you ridiculous symbols, not helpful and not aesthetically pleasing.
I also don’t want it to automatically adjust my daily calorie target based on what it ‘thinks’ I’ve burnt. It also now adjusts the targets intakes of fat, protein and carbohydrates, which is particularly unhelpful for anyone who was aiming to stick to their original goal irrespective of their daily exercise.

If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it!

Haven’t the creators of YAZIO heard the adage ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ ? The latest update is radical and awful! I’m angry about it. This app was brilliant up to the point when some ‘genius’ app developer, probably new and keen to impress, decided to update the app with a completely different look. It looks pretty, but after an initial gasp at the new look you realise it’s pretty awful. There’s no longer any recipes shared on my diary timeline- I loved those, they transformed my diet. Why YAZIO WHY?! It no longer remembers your past meals for quick entry. Certain stats in the nutritional values of your day no longer show. I have high blood pressure so I have loved the feature that shows how much salt has been in my diet over the day. It no longer shows this. It only shows the basics - carbs fat and protein. Ffs!!!! It also Crashes when trying to share stats. CRASHES!!! This was unheard of before. You have ruined this app. YAZIO please sort it out otherwise I will reluctantly cancel my subscription and move on to something else.

US based pointless in UK

As a calorie counter for UK based users impossible to input anything. Huge shame. Well laid out app but had I known it will be impossible to input any UK based food items I would have never joined & paid. This should have been made clear from the outset. I feel cheated to be honest. The price is reasonable if it would work. But as it is this app is pointless. It is also quite restrictive what one can input. I couldn't input a bean sprout & cucumber salad with my own dressing. Maybe if after Brexit the US will colonise the UK it might become useful? Let’s hope so. That is my only hope I will be able to use it.

Good app but...

So I have been using this for a few weeks ow and I have some comments to make, perhaps you can make some changes. First, at the beginning I entered my weight and the app reported that I had 15 weeks left until I reached my goal... now admittedly the process it’s a lot slower and I believe this must be week 6 or 7 that I am using the app, but because I lost only 2.7 kilos since it’s still says 12 weeks left... It would be nicer if it told me when I actually started my diet and how many weeks of the challenge I have left to put some pressure as well... otherwise it feels like I have all the time in the world.
Second, sometimes I reach my carbs and protein limits but I still have something like 1000 calories to reach, especially the days I workout. But the app doesn’t adjust to this, so if I workout can I consume more carbs or is there a way to reach my calories without carbs proteins or fat? This is a bit disappointing as it always lets me thinking that I am not doing this properly. I will give it some more time and see how it goes.

It is really really good app, would recommend it but does the lost weight thing change automatically because when I last looked at the app it said I lost 3.2kg and now I says I lost 4.2kg...I haven’t weighed myself and I haven’t changed it ..so I don’t know if it changes automatically..someone help? 😊

Other apps do this for free.

I only installed this for the fasting tracker, but that’s a premium feature you have to subscribe to and pay for. There are other fasting tracking apps that provide this for free. It would have been great to have this as a free trial to see how it compares, but you have to commit to a year and go pro before even trying it out. I know any form of weight loss takes commitment, but when you have multiple apps to choose from, why bother paying for one just to test it out? Uninstalled, sorry.

Tough to use in the uk

This app would be fantastic, but I live in the uk and I’m finding it very frustrating inputting food. I can see a year ago you said it was falling down in this area due to a bug, but the basics from a the major supermarkets are just not there, and the barcodes don’t work either. I’ll keep using for now, but if it doesn’t improve and keep up with my fitness pal I will give up.

No trial option. Let me pay via App Store

From using YAZIO so far it appears to have a much better interface, easier to navigate, tons of recipes and recommendations which is exactly what I was looking for, however, unlike other platforms there doesn’t appear to be trial option for the Pro version. I also don’t like the fact I’m asked to subscribe outside of the App Store and directly on the website to obtain the welcome discount offer. I prefer to keep all app payments without my App Store account for easier management. A real shame as at first glance I could see YAZIO replacing my current subscription :(

I’ve been using this YAZIO app for 8 weeks now and my weight has gone from just in the 17 stones to 15 stone 12 lbs I’ve never done diets as I’ve always been quite active and although I’ve always been quite a healthy eater my portions were too big but now I’ve got the YAZIO app it’s helped me tremendously and my weight has been going down since it’s amazing how something you do from the time we are born until the time we die is eat and how little we understand food I still have a lot to learn but with YAZIO I know will get there so Thank you and keep up the good work Martin

Good concept, awful execution

The app in itself is good for tracking what you eat and how much nutrition is in everything but you can’t scroll down once without an ad to go premium. I understand that they have to make money but this is ridiculous. I got AT LEAST 10 pop ups while scrolling half way through a recipe in app. As well as this, if you do decide to finally give in you are made to pay for a minimum of 3 months at a time, rather than the monthly price they advertise.

So close...

I was gagging for a proper MyFitnessPal replacement - that app is old, slow and a nightmare to use. Plus it also doesn’t give me a good clear and consistent indication on where I am with my weight loss goal. YAZIO completely solves that: it’s sexy, slick, modern looking, really snappy and gives me a good clear progress indication. However... the one thing that needed to also do: food tracking, is so much worse, to the point of being pointless. I really wanted to give this a go, but I can’t even find normal stuff from Sainsbury’s (just searched for a morning roll, there was nothing!). Tried scanning some of my past packets there, e.g., Sainsbury’s fusilli pasta, nothing. I mean... this was and is the strength of MyFitnessPal, it gives you access to this huge database of items and their nutritional values... I think I could be bothered to enter those manually if YAZIO was completely free - yes, it really is that good - but given you need Pro to access loads of important features, then I can’t see how after paying for a pro subscription they expect me to manually enter almost all of my food items, and have a much smaller food item database. Such a shame... I really wanted this one to work. Back to MyFitnessPal... :-(
