Definitely my favourite game OF ALL TIME on iPad.
Hugely playable, lovely artwork, sensible challenges, great characters, just enough depth...superb.
Very playable too on iPhone but less so on AppleTV.

Really good game apart from that towards the end of the game it becomes really hard 2 complete the challenges. But stil I really like the game (I’m lvl 49) it has a good idea 2 it and is very addicting!!!😉 in total I think a 9/10 !!!

My favourite game on the phone
This game reminds me of when I would play it with my dad and brother. The art and the game play is amazing! I would recommend this to everyone.

Addicted!!!
Whilst I love this game I do agree with many others that it’s overpriced for what it is. The graphics are beautiful and calming as is the sound. I’ve been playing for a few weeks now and have only got as far as level 31 keeps me busy though. There are the occasional glitches where I crash land but the game thinks I’m still alive so will just sit there and I’m not able to use my crash helmet to continue. Also, quite a few times I’ve started the game and it won’t let me jump so I’ve had to restart the game. For the price I expect it to be perfect. I have also just purchased Alto Odyssey because I’m curious to see how well it fares to the first one. Other than that it is a good game overall and I do recommend it.

Love it
I’ve had this game for over a year and it’s great. It’s easy to play but as the levels go on, it’s harder and harder to pull off the objectives and unlock characters. It gets more challenging with pressure put on by the Elders but that’s all part of the fun. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun game with lots of levels.

Massively overrated! Read before buying
Honestly, how has this game got an average of 4.7? I’m stumped. It’s basically a downhill skiing game with no unique selling point whatsoever. I can’t believe I paid £4.99 for this. Everyone giving it 5 stars and saying it’s the best game on iPad clearly have never played anything truly engaging, like Machinarium or Limbo. The hype for this is unreal! I’ve given it a good go but it’s getting deleted, unfortunately.

The visuals are a thin veneer to a monotonous game
Great visuals create a thin veneer for what turns out to be repetitive, shallow gameplay. There is no real game in this game, unfortunately.

(added note: since the latest update, pressing to jump can stop working on my iPad 4. so, you can pause and restart a game, die and repeat - but you can't actually play it. goodbye, five stars.)
with its understated style and atmospheric sound, it's as if Monument Valley had spawned an infinite runner.
one disappointment is that there is not an option for device tilt to alter background/foreground parallax to enhance the 3D world.

Overpriced
Despite being a lovely, immersive game, I only felt hooked to play for the first hour or so until there was only an essence of a game left - auto generated objectives that hold little excitement. I still play the game from time to time, but thats only when im close to dying from boredom.

Brilliant!
This, along with the new Alto’s Odyssey, are my favourite games in the App Store. Easy to learn but difficult to master; they are the perfect gaming combination of being both challenging and exhilarating. The fact that they’re also beautiful to look at is a bonus. Perfection!

Brilliant, but please fade the swipe handle!
This game is awesome, but it would be perfect on iPhone X if the swipe-to-home indicator was set to edge protection so that it faded out during play and didn’t stay stark white all the time - other apps do this and it makes it much more immersive!

Goal doesn’t register...
I’ve loved playing this game over a year long period... However since unlocking the last character and recaching the goal entitled “Pick up a coin magnet 4 times in one run” it does not allow me to go any further. I counted 8 magnets in one run and I still don’t get a percentage on the goal.
It’s such a shame that I’ve hit this wall but it’s so infuriating to put so much time into a game perfecting each character skills for nothing.
I’ve deleted the game and will not be purchasing the new one that is advertised within the game.

Buggy on an iPhone
Lovely game, challenging but not infuriating.....let down by issues on the wingsuit deploying and closing when pressing anywhere on the screen.....
Frustrating when you are invested into a level and dying as a result.

Overpriced for what it is
I’m afraid to say that for what I paid this game (£4.99) I feel that I fell for the hype.
I adore games that offer a “easy to learn, hard to master” mechanic, but this game simply isn’t entertaining enough. The flipping is too slow, the level isn’t captivating (although I will say that the lighting effects are beautiful) and it gets old extremely fast.
After 4 days I was bored already, whereas I wouldn’t consider myself a “casual gamer”.
Seeing the overwhelming positive reviews, I’m glad others can enjoy it but for me it doesn’t even deserve staying on my phone.

Fantastic game
I've had this game for nearly two years, and even now I still keep coming back to it! It is the most beautiful game I've ever played, and the gameplay is also great. The challenges get increasingly more difficult as the game progresses. Would definitely recommend!

Just beautiful
I've had this game for over a year and keep coming back to it. It gets more challenging as you go, but as you unlock characters and thread together stunts the points go up. Elders add a bit of stress as you have to be doing stunts to outrun them, and the coins are useful to buy extra lives for crashing or falling into chasms. I eventually finished the final level, but last few levels took a long while!

Beautiful in all aspects
This game is sublime. From the title screen to the way the gameplay begins is a masterclass in presentation. The game feels fluid and alive with the changing light adding to the ambience. The soundtrack also takes you along perfectly. It's simply stunning and sits in a place as one of my favourite games of all time.
It's so relaxing, yet challenging too and even now a couple of years since I first downloaded it, it's still regularly played. Perfect.

This game is so simple but is actually so great and calming and stress relieving. I kid you not it helped me through a bad break up and helped to distract me and normally I hate iPhones games and get bored of them but this one was just so great so good job whoever made this love it #dab x

Just Gorgeous
This game is a wonderfully beautiful game with a calming soundtrack that compliments the backdrop of a day in the snowy mountains.
Altos Adventure has a unique cutesy art style that has a day cycle and random weather changes.
There are several modes including a challenging scoring mode that allows you to level up and unlock new characters.
This is well worth your time and money.

Sync between ipad and iPhone?
The game is very engaging and so I often end up playing for a while on either the iPad or phone itself. However I am seeing that my levels and coins are not synced between devices. Would really love to have that synchronisation. Three stars until then.

Great but...
...I've been stuck on level 31 challenge 'catch 3 llamas while hovering' which seems to be impossible. The hover icons are rare and chances are that you'll need to spend most of your time being airborne to keep your speed up just enough to avoid elders/smash rocks/clear chasms. What was a fun challenge has become a brick wall!

It should be possible to deactivate it and carry on doing the usual backflip but is bugged to always activate the suit when available ruining the whole game 👊👎

Good game.
I'm not usually a fan of endless runners but this is great. The side missions on each level improve the gameplay.
My only gripe is that if you have been playing and it is night time in the game then the scores screen is too dark to see, if the text where white when it is dark that would really help.
More of an accessibility thing but some of us who are officially 'over the hill' would be able to read it as well!
Apart from that very re-playable as it's only ever 'one last go'.........

Instantly Accesible
This is one of the most Accessible Games that I have played in a long time, it's instantly appealing, well-paced and pleasing to both eye and ear.
That said, I really don't see the point of the Llamas, they're cute I guess but it takes zero skill to collect them, at least as far as I can tell after 15 minutes of gameplay, you just ski through them.
An odd disparity in an otherwise strong and cohesive game.

Wingsuit bug
I used to love this game, but now the wingsuit triggers as soon as you jump when it is charged, it makes it near impossible to progress tactically through the higher levels - please fix this.

Amazing, beautiful.
I Don't have a bad word to say about this game, I absolutely love it!! Addictive in the best way, not in a frustrating way! You want to pass the levels but get lost in enjoying the ride down the hill!! It's so, so we'll made! Such a beautiful game! This will definitely be a game that will be staying on my phone!!
