I honestly had zero expectations when I downloaded Muzz. Alhamdulillah, I am truly grateful to Muzz because through this app I found the one I was waiting for. Honestly, SubhanAllah, within that short time, I found my better half.I was in the UK, he was in Canada, and I only wanted to give it a try for a week.
We started talking, connected instantly, and within a week both of us deleted the app. Our families got involved, did their background checks, and Alhamdulillah everything went smoothly. We first met on July 17, and the very next day, July 18, we got engaged.

This app just scammed me £29 even though I deleted my profile a while ago, my Gold subscription should have also been automatically cancelled but that was not the case with this thing and I still got charged
Also, the Gold unsubscribe option itself has been intentionally hidden/made cryptic enough to find so that people cannot easily unsubscribe and keep getting charged monthly!
Go ahead and take my £29 but know this, I will make sure to take back a thousand fold for this on the day of Qiyamah, so play these games while you can while you wait for that day 👍

I would give this negative reviews if I could! The app matches me with people and notifies me sometimes but not other times. When I go on the app to actually see a match, I cannot see the chat. Like I’ve never matched in the first place! Because I cannot see the matches people think I’m not responding or not interested! I’ve lost many many matches because of this expiring rule and not being able to respond because the chat is not there! This app it literally ruining my chances of getting married. Terrible app! Disappointing to find that Muzz are engaging in the same, similar or worse digital practices than those of their counterparts in the dating app marketplace.
Coercively obtaining access to not only photo galleries but also files and folders of users, including but not limited to personal, commercially sensitive and confidential documents.
Indicating a blatant disregard for privacy and data security. Not to be trusted.
The app team also seemingly have plenty of minions, perhaps ‘volunteers’ or ‘disenfranchised’ men and women who use the chat function in sad attempts to shape Muslim minds to accept lesser rights and freedoms in their own communities and personal lives.
Classic example of providing a platform, then instigating people to put each other down, in the name of banter, or in the hope of gaining some ground in a misguided and miserable gender war,
rather than addressing the issues at hand.
Noting vulnerability at a time of seeking a partner is a key matter, to be aware of and not to be exploited by opportunistic actors, whether empowered by law or not.

Marriage App or a Debate Club for Bitter Men?
I downloaded Muzz out of curiosity gave it an honest try for about a week and quickly realised it’s not for me. While the idea of a Muslim-focused marriage app sounds promising in theory, the reality was… less than ideal.
The energy on the platform can be surprisingly toxic. Instead of respectful conversations and meaningful connections, there’s a noticeable amount of judgment, unsolicited opinions, and odd competitiveness — especially from men who seem more interested in policing women than getting to know them.
As a convert, it felt even more isolating. You’d think a marriage app would be a place for genuine connection, but it often felt like navigating a space where people are either emotionally unavailable, unhealed, or just here to argue for dopamine. Some interactions left me wondering if people were there to build something meaningful or just to vent online.
There are decent people on Muzz I’m sure of it. But personally, I found the experience to be more draining than uplifting. Even social media feels like a kinder place by comparison.
If you’re someone who values peace, mutual respect, and positive vibes, this app may not be the most aligned space for you. That said, if you’ve got patience and thick skin, you might find someone worthwhile eventually.

Mocked for wanting to keep things halal
I have deep concern about a recent experience I had on Muzz. I was mocKed and Belittled by a user for wanting to keep things halal by meeting a few times with clear intentions and getting family involved, which is the Islamic way.
What is especially disappointing is that your platform markets itself as one that supports Muslim values and safe, halal connections. However, I felt disrespected and humiliated for simply trying to follow what Islam encourages.
While I have reported the user, I believe the platform needs to take more responsibility in educating its user base and enforcing boundaries that protect Muslim women from mockery when they choose to follow their deen. This type of behaviour should not be tolerated on a Muslim app.
Please take this seriously. I hope Muzz can ensure better accountability and foster a safer environment moving forward.

Awful experience
I complained about 3-4 times to the technical team about the issue of disappearing profiles, my “liked you” section is always empty and once every few days I get a bunch of profiles who liked me few weeks ago! And I don’t receive an appropriate response to that.
This is disappointing and I won’t waste any more money on this.

My issue with this app is the people not the app. I think what the app makers are trying to do is great, enjoyed the muzz social element think this was actually a great idea. The social element makes you not feel alone in this horrible process and you get to see you’re not the only one experiencing madness on this app! Sadly for me I feel the men on this app are not serious for marriage at all. This app is more a Muslim tinder. It’s a dating app. Also think it’s probably better served for young people under 30. If you’re over 30 try hinge or match, Sorry muzzmaker. If you want to be considered a serious Muslim marriage app I suggest you incorporate a lengthy questionnaire on sign up and match people accordingly. And find a better way to filter out sooo many of these time wasters.

Nice app but needs some work
The app is great but there are a few things that could be improved. 1. Messages take forever to load, even if you open the app, sometimes, you have to open the actual chat for the messages to load, which often times means there’s a delay in responding.
2. It’d be great if you made some fields compulsory so that people actually took the time to update their profile properly.
3. The app asks you after just a few messages if the other person is serious about marriage which is a bit of a premature question, considering that after 2 mins of chatting, it’s practically impossible to tell.
4. It seems a bit too much to allow people to see that their compliment has been dismissed. A bit harsh maybe.

This experience has been incredibly disappointing and humiliating. There are far too many bots and fake profiles out there! They lure you into paying for a membership by offering fake likes through their algorithms, and once you commit, you end up feeling foolish. Don't waste your hard-earned money or hope on these social experiments—choose to invest in yourself instead and search for genuine connections in the real world!
Many of these fake profiles will try to entice you into trading on various platforms, which are also bogus. I would share screenshots to prove my point, but just search Instagram or Snapchat for the evidence! Don't let yourself be fooled or discouraged. This app is designed to take advantage of us. Get out there and be yourself in real world guys!

Permanently Blocked Without Reason.
I re-downloaded Muzz after taking a month-long break hoping to continue my journey of finding a life partner. Upon setting up my profile, I was prompted to complete photo verification by taking a selfie. Despite having successfully completed this process multiple times over the years, my selfie was inexplicably rejected.
After trying several more times without success, I reached out to Muzz support for assistance. Instead of receiving any help or clarification, I was sent a generic email the next day stating that my account had been permanently blocked due to a supposed violation of guidelines and policies. This decision left me completely confused, as I am a sincere and respectful user who has always followed the rules.
I immediately emailed Muzz requesting an explanation, but it has been several days and I have yet to receive any response. I have used other apps like Salam and Hinge, where the verification processes are similar and I have never encountered any issues with my photos. This experience has left me feeling discriminated against and questioning whether someone internally at Muzz is acting unfairly.
I am extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency and the poor customer support. Muzz was a platform I trusted for years and I took out their Gold member subscription on multiple occasion but this incident has shattered that trust. I am now considering reporting the app developers to escalate this matter further.

Poorly thought out system
I’ve been made aware that whilst women can freely see their likes and like back who they choose, men’s profiles are unable to do this without paying for gold.
To circumvent the issue of being unable to freely match back without a paid account, many men cast a wide net by liking every single profile without even looking at it and THEN if you match back with them only now do they bother to go back and read your profile and decide if they ACTUALLY want to match with you. As such, many men do not respond to an initial message and immediately unmatch or more commonly, just block you. To be clear, they are banking all their confirmed matches and THEN reviewing them.
Its humiliating and degrading. I assume the difference in the male vs female experience of using the free version of the app was intended to benefit women somehow? But in fact it’s caused the opposite. There should be a reporting feature specifically for this kind of behaviour where you can raise that it’s happened even if blocked, and if confirmed to be a genuine report a warning is then displayed on that persons profile to alert other women.
But the obvious solution is to equalise the app experience for men and women.

Not worth getting anymore
This app has gone from 100 to 0.. the latest update is trash and super glitchy, but that can be overlooked compared to the fact that they removed the best feature of having a paid membership (gold), for Muslims living in places with low Muslim populations or migrant Muslims, or even people who don’t believe their “soulmate” will just so happen to be within a 100 mile radius of them, travel mode was a game changer. Now you can only be discovered by people in your country, I’m in a country with very few users and most do not speak English, so the app is useless to us.
“Well they mentioned this surely”, nope, scoured the updates descriptions, social media, app, website, a massive ZERO mention that this feature was removed, which is the only reason I got the paid subscription in the first place. Muzz has gone downhill so fast, it used to be the best app for single Muslims, now it isn’t worth getting.
Why they got rid of the best feature of the paid subscription? I don’t know you tell me, there’s literally 0 reason to do that, especially for ID verified profiles.. and I’m sure I won’t be the only paid user they lose because of this.
If you’re gonna use the app just use the free version at this point as there’s no reason to get paid anymore..

No access every 2 days
I do not even want to give this a single star. I have been using this app for a while now. For the past 2 months every single day I have problems accessing my account. Despite numerously raising things with the admin who fob you off constantly nothing has been fixed. You will notice the error message something went wrong which is constant. They fobbed me off last time by saying I can have it for free and never did and despite taking my funds off me still prevent me from continuing. Previously I lost matches because of it. This is a rubbish app so please stay away and use better apps. I have messaged them on email because I cannot access my account and still have had no reply and yet they will never refund you back for these issues. Furthermore they cannot even invest in a call centre to help us deal with problems by ringing. It’s just unprofessional.

The longer muzz has run the worse it has got. It literally has no safety or supervision and is filled with immature and foolish youth who abuse and gang up on others to remove them from the app. Profiles get screeenshotted and then shared amongst the youth who all then report the profile to get it banned and removed. It makes using the app unsafe, insecure and place of bullying if you’re not liked. I’m a revert and have been called Hindu cow urine drinker multiple times but I got banned because I’m not part of the youthful group who report in large volume and get people removed. This app has destroyed my mental health where it’s just an environment for toxic, immature and foolish behaviour which amounts to slander and bullying. Not an Islamic app for good or for marriage. The owner doesn’t care as long as he increases his user database. Vile app. Avoid like the plague. Hands down the worst “Islamic” app I’ve ever used.

Salam Alikom brother and sister, I want to review this apps in honest way after using it for the last 5 months. I had subscribed to this apps in order to have full access. However, you won’t get full access, you are allowed to send only one message a day. You will get unlimited like or dislike , your profile won’t be highlighted unless you use your free 3 star ( highlighted) then you have to pay 2.99£ for one hour highlight. So their intention just to make money from you. I might forget to mention some other negative stuff as I stop using like I used too. I hope my review is helpful.

Not Islamic or about marriage at all
People screenshot your profile and post it on hidden groups on the social side when it doesn’t work out. I had someone literally make up false stories about me, people would match and ask me about it months after the post was made. Muzz team didn’t do anything about it.
It’s no longer Islamic or about marriage, for example women naturally get way more likes than guys due to the nature of online dating apps but instead of correcting for this imbalance to make the app more useable they make the problem worse and profit from it. They restrict the men from viewing who liked them (when they already get less matches) unless you purchase gold but allow the women (who are spoilt for choice) to see who’s like them.
I used the app very briefly pre-covid and I remember getting much better quality matches but with all these changes I think it’s been designed to keep you on there rather than get you married. It’s turning into a toxic mess due to poor moderation and bad management.

Inactive profiles and troubled women
Been on here for 2 weeks. Been the worst experience of my life. This app will effect your mental state and cause you get depressed. You won’t find a decent person on here. If she’s attractive in anyway, she will not be on this app because she will find someone in the real world. Most of the women are not active, so your browsing dormant profiles. Then the rest have troubled minds and will take hours or days to respond to messages, usually avoiding your question. Most of them if not all will avoid talking on the phone (because they’re hiding something). Download the app and you will soon realise that despite how much you spend on it, finding someone is like winning the lottery! Haram and near enough impossible. But for some reason, you think it just might work. Stay away and ask friends and family for introductions. The muzz staff need to monitor the activity or close dormant profiles. But they won’t as they need profiles for you to swipe through. I’m very disappointed with their compliance. Ultimately it’s all about money and little about matrimonial.

Unverified profiles are a very common thing, cat fish central. Seen multiple profiles of same person. Surely you shouldn’t be allowed on without verification?
Women can blur images but guys have to disclose income? Feel sorry for teachers and those who work in mental health, where they do good work but don’t get paid nearly enough.
People can block rather than unmatch, if it’s genuine then report it surely?
£30 a month just to see who likes you and then the new social media feature which basically makes it an advertising place for builders, cat lovers and social media influencers. Think the creator is chasing money more than anything. Stick to your auntys whatsapp groups or Instagram. Being well off, I rather use Instagram, because apparently people are after the looks and money anyway. At least I don’t have to strike up a conversation just to ask you to unblur and not feel you’re only interested in me because of what I earn, rather than who I am. Major improvements needed.
The app is basic at it’s core even for Gold subscription, notifications don’t get delivered in real time, the filters are nothing special, the forced ADs to support certain causes even for a gold member, while helping causes is important but it should be a choice not a constant interference when someone is swiping, The annoying feature that literally asks if someone is serious about Marriage after a couple of messages, literally in less than 5 minutes the app asks this, like why ?its 2024 , too many inactive accounts and some users have 2-3 accounts based in different countries, Unmatching is predetermined by the app developer if you decide to do that then the app will ask is the person behaving in a Halal way Or if they are serious about Marriage, the answer is neither, how about inactivity/ghosting / fake accounts , why these are not listed ? If half a star was an option then that would be my choice!

Work on your search filters!
This app is so frustrating.
I tried it several times, since it seems like the only option for muslims.
I appreciate the safety they provide with face authentication and the privacy of blurring your photo and exporting chats to your email address.
But I don’t get how the location filters and search work.
In order to filter results through language and ethnic origin (nationality) you need to be a paying gold member which I understand - they need to make money out of it.
Searching through ethnicity (which is free) is useless, do you know how many countries there are in North Africa for instance?
But then if I like a profile, the other person is not going to see my like unless they change their search filters to mine or unless they’re close in location to myself which simply does not work!
Say If I’m an international student in Europe looking to meet someone from my country either in Europe or back home, I’m unable to do that! I can see their profiles and like them but they’ll never know even with a gold membership.
I keep getting likes from various people that only match my location and age filter which is useless.
The support team is helpful and usually fast when replying, I also appreciate the quality of the actual app. But it simply doesn’t work for me.

Face blur removed for MEN!!! Joke
To be honest it’s pretty crap to have the muzz app experience ruined after they removed for men the feature to blur your face. Did it not occur to the geniuses at Muzz that maybe there are men who are in careers where having your face blasted on the platform is not for me or other similar persons. You also allow women to blur their faces so not only giving men no option to be discreet but also imbalance the equation. I am not here for any other reason than finding a mate - used to like this feature before you ruined it. Well done - will never use the app again and handing free boosts and instants chats is a cheap get out option.

No many people who are serious
I have been on and off the app and its not the best. No one really that serious on it and prefer to waste your time. You can tell some are overdated profiles who no longer are on it, not many options for those who are serious. There are probably just the few who are serious but genuinelly hard to find. I have subscribed previously to Gold many times and even then very difficult to find serious people who genuinelly understand the real reason of the existence of the app and what the end goal is, just lot of time wasters. A lot of people who dont have the courtesy to give just a message rather just block you and disappear. Honestly for what I have been through I wouldnt recommend as it can be exhausting and mentally draining. Its a shame as I know people who actually have found someone themselves on here and I am sure there review would be lots better but mine isnt unfortunately.

Mediocre but can be great
The app has finally gone back to normal where you can now see people who like you without needing to pay. Muzz had a phase where you had to pay just to see who liked you. Annoying that the best features are paid but it’s still better than other marriage apps out there. In terms of technicality, it doesn’t let me backspace in the middle of a sentence without moving the cursor to the end of the sentence each time so it’s hard to type.
Updates to make it great:
- If you could skip a profile & come back to it later on the search part. Sometimes it’s hard to make a decision but you can’t see other profiles without swiping one way or the other.
- Voice notes disappear which is the most annoying thing because you can’t come back to it after.
- Pls give us the option to upload videos on our profile that are less than 5 seconds! Not everyone likes to be on the camera for long but videos really help the authenticity of the app. Bit silly to put a time limit on this.
Muzz say they listen to feedback so let’s see if they implement these changes. Fingers crossed!

Definitely better than the other apps
I would consider myself as one of the success stories Alhamdullilah. I am probably one of the rare cases here but I managed to find my husband within 5 days of downloading the app (back in summer 2022) and had our nikkah 7 months later. Alhamdullilah we are happier than ever. My husband didn’t have the same ease, he was on the app on and off for 2 years when he found me and did have a few matches before that didn’t work out.
The app itself is pretty good, much better than other ones I’ve tried. I used the free version and didn’t feel forced to subscribe and had access to most of the functions. The down sides is that I don’t agree with functions such as sharing profiles - the last think you’d want to happen is to be judged/talked about by your match’s friends and family so early on, before connections have been formed.
All in all, I’d definitely advise to give it a go if traditional routes are not for you. Just definitely keep in mind that you can find your fair share of the not-so-nice profiles but every now and again you may find a diamond in the rough inshaAllah.

It’s ok but you must pay to see blurry matches
The users of “dating apps”, well you already know how that is... But constructive criticism - why have the blur feature? If you want privacy, don’t use it! Otherwise your almost begging users to un-blur. We are all superficial to an extent. Then they un-blur and it becomes a weird awkward situation. Oh and guess what privacy wanting users - all your data is already on the internet. Your embarrassed about family seeing you? Bro there either already married or they will be there too and no one will speak of it lol.
Muzz if you want “pay to play” make it cheaper than £30 a month then to only be put through blurry profiles, ghosts, troll profiles…
You can have this for free Muzz only because there’s potential - have a filter process when users want to join outlining their intent, implement some form of ads non-intrusive, get rid of blur!

It’s getting better - slowly
What will drive you absolutely crazy, and eventually force you to switch off notifications, is Muzz sending several marketing messages a week via the app.
You get a notification, you log on, excited, and it’s a quirky marketing (or political) message in your Muzz inbox that you have absolutely zero interest, and time, to read. It seems nearly everyone switches off their notifications because of this. Which means people check Muzz extremely infrequently.
The other issue is the photo policy. There’s no creative control on the photos. It has to be front facing. Which makes it heavily focussed on v restrictive images, rather then allow your creative personality to shine through.

I was on for a while and for some reason Muzz emailed me saying
‘ Married individuals aren’t permitted to use Muzz. While Islam permits polygamy, it’s illegal in most countries’
In this case, you’ve failed to comply with our behaviour guidelines, so we have blocked your account’
I never been married, and who are they to judge? What do they know about any situation even let’s say I was married and going for a separation?
I emailed them to say to reinstate my account and they ignored this.
During my time in the app it is the totally wrong approach to finding a halal spouse. Muzz accepts any females profile even if the user name is A or S. they accept any profiles without checking. Also they accept non Muslims as well during my experience. It is the total wrong approach a convo leads to a meet up leading to other haram options. There is no guidelines even when you ask for help.
Better to stick to the halal options asking your family members to find a spouse for you and go from there. It is 100% safer then meeting strangers you never met before and trying to build a marriage. Most of the profiles are fake once you get matched. Even if you set your filter to uk only and within let’s say 10 miles of your location still you get matches from abroad.
Do not download and safe yourself from the desires of the shaytan. There are other halal alternatives.

Good App.. Some Issues
The profile section is great, and easy to use. Picture verification is good- no weird profiles on the app.
Also allows for videos/audio on profiles which is great.
Icebreaker prompts, and other sections on the app are cool.
The app goes down for maintenance randomly (so you’re unable to log in), for hours at times.
Understandably this may need to happen on the odd occasion, however this has happened twice over the last few weeks.
Very disruptive, no prior notice from Muzz and the second time there was no email acknowledgment of this happening.
Being a Gold member & paying for the membership isn’t particularly worth it- allows you to be ‘boosted’ & to like/unlike people after you initially do so. No other real benefits.
The notifications section isn’t the best, to be constantly shown 99+ notifications because people are visiting your profile is unnecessary.
Would be better if notifications were only if you had a message or match. At the very least, the option to choose which notifications in settings would be helpful.
Overall a good app, but does have issues- which considering how popular and well known the app is, should really look to improve.

Disappointing
I’ve been using this app for a few years now which I have to say in more recent times I’m getting pretty disappointed.
Unless you purchase the premium membership you don’t really stand a good chance but again even then I’ve noticed no matches come until your membership expires which is coming across quite fake. Some of the people on here are also continuously hiding photos which is becoming somewhat immature or matching without a word said.
But one of the biggest disappointments comes from the developer who I’ve reached to several times regarding the radius distance to be shorter than 25 miles and to stagger this from 5,10,15 miles etc which was acknowledged but did nothing about all in all I don’t really recommend this app due to all the above.

Inconsistent and money hungry
I can see why so many people slate this app. Inconsistent with their search feature, bugs that stop you from updating your profile. More recently swapped my main image to one of the other images that had previously been approved to now have my profile rejected because the photo isn’t approved. Even though it was before. Numerous times. Just a money hungry app full of glitches.
Too concerned with being super dramatic with a forced name change rather than maintaining consistent quality of the app. For example even if you make a minor update on your profile (like adding a full stop) your profile automatically gets “rejected” and placed under review. It’s gone backwards and seems like it will keep getting worse rather than better.

The best app for Muslims
I wanted to leave a review in light of the litigation Muzzmatch has found itself against the Match Group. I used this app for around 3 years. Although I eventually did not get married to the person I met through here I did want to leave a review before any changes following the legal battle are made. This app honestly gave me the confidence to put myself out there and realise there actually are kind and decent people out in the world and give me hope I can find someone. If muzzmatch wasn’t here I may not have found that hope or push that I can meet someone eventually. Ultimately it is the safest and encouraging platform, and as a modern Muslim I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to all who may be foraging into the world of Muslim dating. All the best Muzzmatch! Found my soulmate
I downloaded this app when the pandemic first started. At first, I was hesitant on finding my other half online but I gave it a shot. I was on this app for 3 months, and there were some people that weren’t the right fit for me but just when I was about to give up on this app, I found my other half.
I spoke to my match on the app for about a day before we exchanged numbers. I was living in Bahrain at the time & my (now) husband was living in London.
We both were scared at first as to how this whole long distance was going to work but Alhumdulilah we made it through & got married this past November.
It was extremely difficult planning our wedding considering the whole pandemic & travel restrictions but Alhumdulilah it all worked out in the end.
I learned through out this whole journey that everything happens for a reason & Allah always opens the doors you pray for.

Found the one!!
A lot of weirdos on the app but also a lot of well intentioned people too. You need to listen to you gut when red flags show and stick to your principles. At times I wanted to quit the app because I thought I was too conservative for it based on some of the interactions and behaviours of people I had matched with. With some patience, and God willing, you’ll find a gem. I met my husband a few months in to using the app, and I let him know clearly I’m not here to mess around but I’m also not in a rush. Kept it halal Alhamdulillah. We were married within a matter of months. It’s nearly coming up to a year now and I still find myself wondering if I’m dreaming. Found the perfect partner to spend the rest of my life growing with. God bless the founders.

Good app
It took me around 2 weeks to find my *now* husband on this app. Highly satisfied.
In my two weeks on the app, I spoke to hundreds of guys from muzmatch. I ended up meeting 3 of them, all seemed very serious about marriage and had great personal qualities and were degree-qualified. So I would definitely recommend muzmatch to Muslims looking for marriage.
If I had any message of improvements for the developers, it would be in relation some online stalking and trolling I received as a result of being on the app. To elaborate, I found men from aboard would auto-match me on the app and then somehow find all my social media from muzmatch and send me around 200 messages a day, which made me feel a bit unsafe. Hence, I would recommend to remove this auto-match feature for foreign men to match with women aboard (eg in the uk); especially when these women have selected to not be shown to men outside the uk (like I did).

I think physical attraction is an important part of online dating, if not a key driver that makes people want to initiate conversations with people they are attracted to. But in a world where there’s no such thing as online dating for example when meeting a person face-face I think liking a person goes beyond how good a person looks in their photos as sometimes this doesn’t do the person justice fully. In most cases and I’m sure many people will agree that enabling a feature in the app to upload a video, like Hinge and Bumble, captures a persons facial expressions and will hand in hand with photos.

Remove the popups
I want to like this app but it infuriates me. There is a distinct lack of "normal" people on this app and I've been wondering what it could be. The app UI wise is neat, it's not buggy, has good features and filters so why do a lot of Muslims avoid this app? And it's because it's nearly impossible to use the free version. You're inundated with popups and forced ads, begging you to pay £25 pm to get premium - and let's be honest the average guy/girl who downloaded the app to see what's up is not going to do that. I've found most people on Gold are older and just there to rush into marriage. A lot of young people I talk to scoff at the price of Gold and as if they'd pay that for an app - it's not even a question for them.
I understand you need to make money...but there are other ways. Tinder/Hinge are surviving without blocking your interactions every 10 seconds.

Incompetent owner, administrator and so called web developer
After 4 weeks of activity, I was wondering why I’m not getting any likes. Today got a msg from them that my profile pic wasn’t app. Quick service, isn’t it. App is poorly designed with so much wasting of time while they lure you to subscribe. Also filled up with fake profiles and scammers. Advice: owne, administrator and web team, if any, should go and find a easy job suited to them. For example cleaning toilets. They should have gone to uni before trying to launch an app. A bunch of incompetent useless creatures. Worst customer service ever and worst app ever, since App Store came into existence. 4 years of using this App!
So I’ve been using this app on and off for a long time and I felt like it was my duty to write this review. Where do I start? Muzmatch is like a double edged sword. It can help or hurt you. There are people on there that genuinely looking for marriage and there are people on there looking to mess about (Both genders). After a few experiences you’ll able to differentiate the two very easily. Don’t get put off the App. It does what is says and more have to give it to the muzmatch team for making a platform like this likes of which has ever been seen before. Don’t get disheartened if you can’t seem to find your match on here. Remember if it was written in your destiny to meet your partner on her you will definitely cross paths. At the end of the day you’re doing your part to tie the camel the rest should be left to Allah. As for me, I found my wife on her 4 years ago Alhamdilah. Now I think I’ve found my second lol.

Unable to permanently Delete Acccount
Dear Muzmatch Dev Team,
In this digital age when everything is being digitalised and our data being spread over the cores of the world whether that’s through apps or through other means.
It has become apparent that many many applications allow users to permanently delete accounts with no retention period so why is Muzmatch different to the likes of Apple, Tinder, Google, Microsoft, Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and so many more.
Our data is our data and and when we would like to delete it permanently we should be able to. Not deactivate but DELETE permanently.
I don’t believe it’s legal to keep our data after we requested for it to be deleted for 3 years which to me and I’m sure to many others is a long time to retain data.
Under GDPR laws we should be able to delete our accounts as and when we want.
We should also be given the open to delete messages.
Please explain because I will take this up with the authorities because I just don’t believe it’s fair to retain data.
Think about our health and mental well being when it comes to retaining data and not allowing us to delete it as and when we want.

But also I am a disabled brother and they don’t wanting marriage with a muslim disabled brother because they are wanting a muslim brother’s good health without disabled, other muslim sisters know I am a disabled and they like better friend with me without halal marriage but I don’t accept them because this Muzmatch is Islam marriage, no new friend!!! Most muslim sisters is not serious and full weirds in Muzmatch. The few muslim sisters were respectful, polite, nice to talk and follow Islam on there.
I seems to have the least amount of practicing muslims in my experience, a lot of muslim sisters are generally airheads and Islam doesn’t seem to be a priority for most of them. There are serious muslim sisters on that Muzmatch app but very rare. Most of them will waste your time.

Poor customer support, money hungry!
When this app was first launched it went well and then as more members joined there was a need for monitoring to which they have done. However I feel now that they have established themselves they have also become money hungry and many inappropriate profile photos have gone unnoticed. In the name of ‘muslim marriage’ site they have lured many believing it is just that. Honestly I can’t believe video chat has recently been introduced!!! They have laid the platform for users to commit sins but hey they don’t care as long as you’re using their service and making money!
Yes it has benefitted many I’m sure but clearly the intention has changed now that money is coming in! Sad but please don’t be fooled by thinking you’ll find a pious spouse on this app!!

Much better than other apps at free level
As the title states, the app is MUCH better than others at the free level, as you get a variety of filters you can choose from. This takes a lot of the guesswork out of the matching process. If you want to refine the search more, premium works well.
The major problem (in my opinion) that this app faces is in its ability to accurately place locations for users. One user had her location bounce from London, to two towns in Birmingham in the the space of one day. You need to allow users to select their own location.
There are also profiles which state “wrong age but can’t change it”, which makes me wonder how many other profiles may have incorrect details. You need to allow users a one-time change to these details at the very least!

I’ve never been the type of person to meet anyone online. When I joined muzmatch after listening to a few people’s experiences I was nervous. I didn’t know what to expect and felt like this was all wrong.
When I did join, I had a very pleasant experience. My responses were amazing, I did speak to a few guys but by doing so I learnt how to really find out what I truly want from my future spouse - eg non smoker, location, even their voice or humour. I found many guys on here genuinely do want to get married which was the opposite of what I heard previously.
Now muzmatch.. know that I am eternally grateful for joining. I found my love within 2 days, we got along from the second we messaged each other. My love, my life, my everything has given me a reason to smile, to laugh, to be happy.

It was a difficult nerve wrecking journey I would say exhausting but it was all worth it. One has to broaden their expectations otherwise it becomes almost impossible to meet someone. There are all sorts of people around here and I came across many of them. Encouragement from my family and the huge choice made it possible. I am not from the UK and hardly have any interaction with Muslims as my social circle is all non-Muslims. Due to this it was becoming impossible to meet someone until a friend recommended muzmatch. That was the best recommendation I had. It wasn’t without challenges but all is well that ends well.

Update your features !!!
My young cousin Brother was being very sneaky and naughty who swiped the gender and changed the name and date of birth on my profile. I can’t change it back to the right one. I understand when I try to change the in built feature is stop due to abuse however has become an inconvenience for me to use my account genuinely. Please can you help me solve this out. It’s been six days now since I’ve contact Muzmatch to solve this. No answer. Reading a few other reviews and many people have also had this problem. Mistakes happen in life and it’s better to at least let users change their basic info every 3 months with the same mobile number, if there not allowed to make new account. Shocking to see how some profiles are approved with inappropriate pictures (Muzmatch having no control over that?) yet we can’t change our own personal information more then twice. Ridiculous ! A person can still change their mobile number and email address to make a new account to abuse or harass someone they know. Let the user name a new account with same mobile number (still having certain user profiles blocked). Much Safer that way and less inconvenient.

Everyone that is reading this: i joined muzmatch a year ago , it has been a rollercoaster better still i call it the snakes and ladder game. spoke to countless timewasters u can guess why 99% guys have their profiles blurred, it’s an evil jungle out there i gave up a few times deactivated my account then decided i will try again like this am still here after a year searching. anyway the good thing is don’t get emotional attached unless u have had time to get to know the real side of that person, tables turn very quick . had my heartbroken once but still searched to find my muzmatch, alhamdulillah i can happily say i’ve finally found him.

Overpriced and incredibly buggy...
First impressions suggest a slick modern interface with plentiful search options, choice & useful functionality. Once you start using the app you encounter several issues which undermine the quality of the service to the point where I am considering requesting a refund for the subscription I have just signed up for.
1. The app is incredibly buggy. Quite often profiles, messages etc take forever to load. App fix turnaround times are long. During downtime’s they often put up an automated message along the lines of ‘were incredibly busy right now’ which is ridiculous. If you can’t provide a functioning service then don’t put it out there for people to use/ pay for.
2. App support response times are incredibly slow. I’ve two queries open currently. One over 48hrs old and another from this morning. Neither have been addressed.
3. Prices for the subscriptions are high for not much benefit in reality. On top of that the add on for extra super-likes etc border on extortionate.
4. The filter function NEVER works. My attempts to filter out profiles with blurred images, restrict age group, certain dress codes etc never works. This is such a basic requirement for a matchmaking app. Amazing that they’ve not got it right. And before anyone asks, it’s been an issue with the app for a long time.

Lots of improvements to be made
Firstly, thank you for the opportunity for providing a platform for single Muslims looking for a spouse. There are a number of improvements however, I want to bring your attention to
1. I’ve never had customer support come back to me for issues I’ve experienced
2. I’m on the free service so I have limited swipes. I find I spend about 40% of them on profiles that are not complete or have character-fillers such as a series of full stops etc. This is absolutely not acceptable as I thought profiles are manually checked through. How is this acceptable?
3. I have seen some really inappropriate profile pictures too, one particular one that stood out was a man topless with a sword. How that was approved was beyond me.
4. Lastly and most importantly of all, the location tool is flawed. I have spoken to men who are based and speaking from as far as Manchester yet on their profile says 11miles from London. I understand this is may be a security limitation but I think we can get slightly more accurate than that. Which is where the other 50% of my swipes go. So I’m left with 10% of potentially worthwhile swipes 🙃

Worthless
I think this app is worthless. I am not saying you won’t find the person you looking for ,you probably will but it will take a very long time and cost you few box . The reason is that 80 percent of the profiles have hidden photos so you will have to keep swiping till you see someone that catches your eyes . To speed it up you might want to upgrade to their membership which costs £20 a month but guess what ? It only allows you to swipe limitless ( more than half of the profiles are hidden anyway ) but won’t be able to message someone unless they like you back first . To message someone you will have to pay £2/£3 per a profile on top of being a full member. Now if you have a lot of free time and not in rush finding someone serious you might want to join for free as you get to swipe through enough profiles daily ( upgrading to their membership will not make much difference tryst me )

It works with patience
It’s a good app if used for the correct reasons. I’d been on muzmatch for about a year. Their were some that weren’t genuine and you tend to figure that out quick as you get to know someone.
Persevere and patience eventually the right one you click with will match up. I have matched with someone like minded with a good sense of humour. We have talked non stop for 4 weeks before meeting once we met up things grew more and now talks of marriage and getting families involved is the the next step.
Great app and good idea to give Muslims a chance to meet other out there if some people use it for good intentions instead as a hook up site.

I was on and off this app for around 2.5 years. During this time the app itself had developed and there were many new improvements and different filtering tools that were also added. What I loved was that you have to take a picture to verify that the pictures you have uploaded is you, that’s one way of not being catfished!
I have now met my husband to be through this app. I believe it’s important to state the difference between the quality of the app and the quality of men or women that are on it because that is not in the hands of the people behind this amazing tool. We’re all here to find our future spouse and this app is another door to finding them.
Thanks to this app I have met someone that was a friend of a friend but this app gave us the opportunity to seek each other out for ourselves and where we found each other without anyone else’s input. Like I said, I was on and off this a number of times for a long period and had given up countless of times! All the best to whoever uses this

It works! Found my partner in this app.
We met back in ‘15 through this app and quickly realised that we had lots in common, even though we were from different countries (I’m from Pakistan and she’s from Morocco).
Long distance, language barriers or any of those issues didn’t hamper us in any way and we’ve been nikahfied Alhumdulilah for a month.
Leaving this a reminder for everyone that marrying out of your country/culture is beautiful and is possible! Just look for the partner that will make you happy and whom you can make happy. Language, Cultural differences, Ethnic backgrounds etc do NOT matter in love and religion.

Short & sweet!
First of all.. I'd like to thank muzmatch for being an amazing app and giving us a chance to find a spouse in a halal way! I was only on the app before I swiped someone who's bio had caught my attention.. after speaking for the whole day and exchanging numbers.. we are now in talks of telling the family as we are content with this blessing of stumbling across each other in such a manner well.. only Allah could have planned! Waiting for nothing to distract and turn this beautiful blessing into anything other than good we shall leave the rest to our parents!!! I never thought muzmatch would give me a platform to make sure I made my point clear on HOW serious I was about finding someone I wanted to marry! And it gave me it!! Thank you!!! May Allah SWT put SO MUCH barakah in your work! Make sure pls you do tell people you are monitoring conversation so that it helps anyone and everyone refrain from anything other than a halaal start to a beautiful journey!!
