Sweatcoin converts your steps into currency units called, as you might have guessed it, sweatcoins. You can then spend them on goods, services and experiences on our market place with our partners or exchange them with your friends and family for whatever you fancy. The fitter and healthier you become the wealthier you get. Movement has value!
Sweatcoin uses your HealthKit step history data to continuously improve our algorithms and provide you with better offers at the right time.
If you're on iPhone 6S or lower, we will need your consent to use your GPS location, so we can verify your steps and award you sweatcoins for them.
You can find Sweatcoin Terms of Use here: https://sweatco.in/tnc

The steps I have made to purchase goods at a discount price have been a waste of time when I ordered several items and used my coins and my own money I have not received any of my items yet over 2 years later. Whilst the idea may be brilliant, the execution is diabolical (at least for me). I’ve been using the app for a few years and hoped it would improve but sadly no. My biggest problem is that the app records nothing in real time. My steps are usually hours out before updating (in fact, most times I have to force update them myself).
Now I don’t know what time zone it operates on but you would think it would be able to work out it’s a new day wherever it’s being used. Many times it is still showing my bonus or rewards from yesterday.
I’ll persevere as it does challenge me to walk more and get those steps in.

I have had this app for 3 years. I have been paying for the premium membership since it came out and am a sweatcoin Influencer.
There is a 55 inch samsung TV, a go pro hero 8, and Bang & Olufsen headphones under the influencer offers. All of the influencer offers show in stock and a cost of 20,000 sweatcoins.
I have FINALLY reached 20,000 and when i try to buy any of them they show OUT OF STOCK.
Even though before you click on it, it says “in stock”.

I was recommended this by a friend as he, like me, is struggling financially. I was excited to start earning rewards by walking as I walk loads daily. The fact you have to pay to up the cap is absurd and the offers you can mostly get direct from the vendors so no real benefit. Never won and auctions or “chances to Winn”
Gift cards for things that are actually useful ( food and clothing gift cards). But hey I can get 60% of £150 ear pods. Geez thanks. Will be deleting this app due to pish offers and false hope of actually gaining something of use to a single dad

Pointless

This app is designed to make you feel you’re earning something when in fact it can take months to get a penny/cent in real money value. My phone’s activity tracking is much more effective in motivating me to move more without the notion of rewards that don’t exist. As for the products you get access to, you can get the same thing just by going to the sellers directly and most of them are spammy fakes, too. If you want to walk thousands of miles for a penny, then go for it, otherwise move on. Finally, 9 out of 10 ads you see on the app are for gambling, also full of promise of winnings that will never happen, this encouraging the younger crowd they are aimed at to engage in gambling. It feels like an effort to create a new generation of gamblers under the disguise of winning non existent winnings, and Sweatcoin plays a role in this. So no, it isn’t worth it for many reasons.

Good concept, some problems

 –
DW_6!

2023-04-09
The concept of this app is good, encouraging people to move more and offering an incentive to do so. Unfortunately the offers you receive to spend your coins are nothing but a waste of time, either a small discount on sites that already have discounts or new start ups that you’ve never heard of and offering nothing of interest.
Moving to the monthly challenges rewarding you for walking 250,000 steps to earn a guaranteed 25 coins and entry into a prize draw. The step tracking is all but broken for this almost because they want to ensure you can’t earn the 25 coins or entry to the (probably non existent) prize draw. For example so far this month the app has tracked 70,000 steps in 8 days but the challenge is only showing 53,000, each month you’d need to walk at least an extra 40,000 or more steps to be close to completing the challenge.
Some positives like the encouragement to get out and move more but also many issues that of fixed could make this a really good app

My free spins don’t even show up on my app. I checked everywhere but it doesn’t give me my free spins. Today I got a notification earlier and when I pressed it nothing happened. It just took me to the app. When I told my friend about it his worked but mine still didn’t. I also checked my updated recently on App Store and it wasn’t there. I checked my list of what needs to be updated and nothing was there. when I search the app up then it shows that the app needs to be updated, but when I update it and then when I go onto it, it still doesn’t show the free spins. Please fix it man you’re actually sad and chubby if you don’t. I really like this app and want to continue it but if it doesn’t work then what’s the point?

I have been a member of Sweatcoin for over 5 years and am as cautious as the next person but can 100% confirm the app is authentic, fun and motivates members towards leading a heathier lifestyle .
Over the years I have moved from a free membership to now being a premium influencer. I have accumulated a very good amount of coins and recently used some to purchase a marathon offer which are available to influencer members. I was advised it would take 30 days to be honoured and it was paid as promised on day 30. I cannot recommend the app enough. Crucially it motivates me to walk and as such helps me keep healthy.
I am really looking forward to being on the crypto journey and feel sure if this is as successful as the app itself there are some really good times ahead. Thank you to Lola, Felps and the great team at Sweatcoin

A lovely app that I throughly enjoy. It’s fun watching your coins rack up with the more steps you do, however the coins don’t really hold much value unless you have over 25k of them which sadly will take several years of doing 20 thousand steps a day to a mass. There is the odd prize draw which you can use some of your coins to enter, but I couldn’t even win a packet of crisps on one of their last prize draws so I don’t even bother entering for the big stuff like games consoles and cars. I’ll still keep using it because it’s fun collecting coins but they really do have little to no value.
In summary, really cool concept, however, near impossible to purchase anything with a fraction of value with the coins you make in your first couple of years.

Extremely poor calculation on Swet

 –

2023-01-10
I been monitoring this app for few days and all I can say that this app is cheating. Been doing boost 2x to increase coins , but guess what been watching live steps going up while time is almost up and when I got time stopped it’s showed 1620 steps within those 20 minutes, but when calculating took place for those 2x then it only shows 1004steps?? Even 4 year old child would laugh about it! Also during the day if you walk for crypto then check your transactions that is not correct also. While doing exercise on treadmill that finished 21:24 and walking around the house as well additional steps, but last transition to crypto showed last steps down 21:00 and that’s it. And that’s means you are loosing a lot coins and crypto Swet. I did highlight this fact of lack of calculation and been said make sure your phone does background updates regularly which is always on! If you are one of those people who likes quality over quantity this app isn’t for you. Definitely not worth paying for that premium service, even on trial it’s poor, trust me! Avoid!

It’s not often I write a review but I though after using the app over a year now it was a good time to!🥳
This app is a great little tool to earn while you walk. I’m a gardener and have no problem getting the max out of the counter. I think for people that don’t have this app, then why not? 💰Who doesn’t want to get paid for walking!?!?💰 It has just become even better, now that they have an attached wallet where you can grow your tokens in a safe way.🤯Also the transition into a crypto token is by far the greatest change as crypto is getting adopted all over the world.

It’s a great concept, but…

Initially I loved the idea of this app - acquire a currency as you walk, and get stuff out of it, what’s not to love? And, without putting any additional effort in, I’ve now earned 100 SweatCoins just from my usual activities. I guess for those who exercise more frequently or vigorously than I do, it might be a motivator for that extra bit of effort, or it may help inspire some people begin exercise that have avoided it previously.
My issue with the app is that there appears to be almost nothing that I can realistically do with the coins that I couldn’t do elsewhere. The majority of the offers (costing between 5 and 20 SweatCoins) are introductory offers that are freely available on other websites.
Although the app does have products that I would like to buy, they appear to be out of stock before I even notice them - which makes me wonder how much “stock” was ever available. The offer of buying into crypto seems to be the true end-goal for the app creators, but is a little confusing to me, and just seems like an admittedly novel attempt to enter a crowded and chaotic market.
I don’t feel these issues are entirely a deal-breaker for me, and the auctions side may be interesting in the long, long term. But I can’t help but wonder if there’s something more cynical going on as regards my data and who it’s potentially being sold to.
All-in-all a nice idea. But right now just a bit…pointless.

It could be better…..

I walk 5 days a week. Each time it takes me 15 mins going and coming. so i decided to download sweatcoin because i heard that i can just get “paid for walking”. if that’s why you guys are wanting to download this app too, there is a catch. you don’t get paid directly for walking. Instead they give you some months off random subscription services. i live in the UK so it might differ in america. but i can guarantee that the UK version is terrible. if there is a gift card that is available to by, they are always out of stock. Sweatcoin also give out large amounts of money on gift cards but they are only available by buying Sweatcoin Premium. So If the Sweatcoin Developers are reading this, make it so that we can cash out to our paypals instead of having to wait for you guys to restock gift cards that nobody uses. thanks for reading.

I have tied unsuccessfully for 30 mins to see what I could buy with my sweat coin (sc) and to watch some adds to earn extra sc but the app just keeps crashing. It is so painfully slow (click on anything and it does nothing for over a minute, then you try to do something else and it crashes - and no it’s not my phone or my internet connection). “Free trials for 5sc” even though they are literally free trials you can find anywhere on the web so why bother wasting your sc. I have yet to be able to actually view what is on offer or work out how much you need in order to do any shopping on the shopping page because it keeps crashing and every time asks me which country I’m in even though I have already confirmed multiple times my country of residency. I don’t want to delete it and reload it incase I loose the coins I have eared so far as there is no actual login that I can remember. Plus judging by reviews here (which very few seem to be recent) I doubt I’d actually be able to earn enough to buy anything anyway. I’m beginning to think this is just a scam to collect your data and movement patterns. Seriously - don’t wast your time. Absolute rubbish.

Very disappointing

I used to love this app and found it motivated me to walk more, I especially liked the monthly challenge where you could earn 25 sweat coins and the chance of a prize for complaining 250,000 steps in the month, in May I completely this with flying colours and was looking forwards to the June challenge however I quickly noticed that I didn’t appear to be getting as many steps in and ended the challenge around 80,000 steps short even though I was sure I had done more than the required amount, disappointed in myself I promised to try harder in July, this is when I realised that there was definitely an issue with the app on day 5 my steps are showing as 7301 which is way under what I do daily and have already done 2431 today, this made me check my steps for June on my Apple Watch which I discovered came to a total of 329,836 for the month way over what I needed, they are claiming to pay you for walking however they are conveniently not converting all steps over which is resulting in a massive amount of underpaid sweat coins, very disappointing and unfair, tempted to completely delete the app, needs fixing and quickly

It’s good but losing its shine

The good - great motivator to to get you out of the house, monthly challenges to walk 250k steps is very helpful as well. Ads help to get more coins daily.
The not so good - when I first started using the app a few years ago I was seeking people able to get $1000 gift cards for 10-15k sweatcoins which for some people (if you are only able to do 10k steps a day) takes 3-4 years to accumulate that sort of number unless you get either lucky with ads or pay for additional subscriptions to double your daily steps. Now to get the same card it’s double at least! 25k maybe 30k steps the ability to get good items seems mikes away.
I’m a premium user and when vouchers etc are available I have no idea when they go available, it seems hugely US centric everything in dollars so that seems the target audience. I’ve tried to contact a couple of times as I’m in the UK about when premium items go available without response as there really isn’t a customer service option.
So my advice is stick to the free or maybe the cheapest option to double your steps.

Just is a bad app

I downloaded the app and I saw that you can buy a pair of wireless headphones for 5 crypto currency so I decided to waste 20 minutes of my day to go for a walk, I ended up making 3.28 crypto currency so yes the amount of money they give you Is good I'm not going to lie. So I had decided to buy the earphones and it was only a 50% discount and I’m very disappointed as I thought that you can buy them for 5 crypto currency they never said anything about a 50% discount so I was very ecstatic to buy them but that happened.I am very tempted to delete the app, and I see many ad’s about this app so I decided to download it but just in my opinion it’s a very disappointing app. I will never use this again, I read through the reviews and there all bad. So I suggest people to beware before downloading this app. Once again I’m very disappointed.

I’m not the biggest walker but I’ve had Sweatcoin for quite a while. As far as earning SWEAT goes, I’m happy. You walk, it converts, you can boost your earnings by watching 3 ads, doing the daily boost and referring friends. I do the ads and boost regularly, and quite a few times I’ll earn more from them than the actual walking.
I’ve used the marketplace a couple of times but never to buy products, only deals, I.e £5 of bitcoin with Luno and a free £5 with Snoop. It cost me nothing in actual cash and I refuse to spend actual cash. I’ve been keeping hold of my coins for when the crypto launches which I’m very much looking forward to!
To address the “it’s a scam”, I mean, it’s not. If you’ve not received an item, that’s an issue with the partner retailer, not sweatcoin. My steps get counted and converted, and there’s no trickery. I’ve never had to use their customer service so I can’t comment there. For a free app, you can’t complain!

Just try motivated yourself and stop dreaming of something would never come true

I don’t understand most reviews about this app that it motivate you 😴😅as it doesn’t’ honestly its just an app where it count your steps for nothing literally NOTHING just finishes your data running on the back ground and all offers are free from the official websites that sweetcoin charges steps for ‘ so why waste any steps buying an offers when it’s free on the official websites who offering the free gift or free trial . Also the worst thing made me decide to delete this app is the bidding thing !!! It’s a big joke as even now if you save 20M steps you won’t be able to get an iPhone or the 1000 PayPal as now days what I’m seen on the bidding it’s a joke 500 m&s gift card gone on the bidding for nearly 27M steps 🤣 People wouldn’t understand it could take years and years just get to 10M and do F all with Sweetcoin just making money by us runing their app on our phone background for some fake money

got excited by this when I installed it about 3 years back , I’m a postman so do some serious walking , I now have almost 10,000 coins , what have I bought ? Absolutely nothing , why ? Because 99% of offers are either Free or about 5 coins, offers that you can find all over the net , or small trials where you just pay for postage ( expensive postage so that they make a profit from it to cover the cost of whatever rubbish they are giving you ) or some great looking items such as television , they were always at an out of reach 20,000 coins , I guess a few people are getting close to that target so I notice they are now 30,000 points , my recommendation , don’t bother just get a pedometer with decent stats , there is no such thing as a free lunch , or trial this for 1 day , as it never gets any better than day 1

Terrible

I like the idea of the app but I have thought of deleting this app multiple times but I remember I have worked so hard and wasted my time on this app to get 300 sweat coins but there nothing to do with them all the things u have on here for me to purchase are irrelevant to me and useless. And on top of that u make me pay shipping with real money what’s the point. I really hope this gets changed because I don’t want to waste my time to pay for shipping u say u get paid to walk u pay in sweat coin which quite frankly is useless u have phones and TVs but there worth 20k that’s almost impossible to gain waste of time don’t download.

This app when it was still in development had great potential. Unfortunately it became all about the money, just spammed with ads or trying to bid stuff or buy stuff on subscription which is clearly affiliate based. You can’t really spend the coin on anything worth while, not without subscribing to some junk. Very sad to see it come to this, but I have deleted it. Plenty of other apps out there to monitor exercise for free that don’t try to craftily rinse you of money. Pointless having an incentive to earn sweat coins if you can’t use them! I used to like the transfer/withdrawal function but you can’t use it anymore now I have 227 odd sweat coin that sit doing nothing. Also the latest reviews they show you are mostly 2 years old, I imagine because a lot are similar to this response. Sorry but you got greedy and forgot about your product and customers happiness.

Anyone else notice the decent rewards miraculously disappeared?

When I signed up, this app was about generating coins with your steps in order for actual rewards, not subscription services and 50% off vouchers. There was an option for £1000 paypal withdrawal at the very beginning - obviously now I realise that was just to reel people in, I doubt anyone reached that amount of steps in order to receive that reward. Or the holidays, or phones that were once advertised. This app does not do what it says on the tin, however, it does have really cool features. They’ve just rendered the purpose of rewards on this app useless, unfortunately. It’s a shame because the amount of steps that add up feel like an achievement, but the ‘reward’ is going to be a subscription service for vitamins or dog food - something you will end up paying for anyways. Yeah :/

Like it, but....

I have been using Sweatcoin for over a year and I like the extra incentive it gives me to do something I would be doing anyway. Like the daily bonuses, like the Daily 2x boost feature, like the range of products I can get and I have got some. However, HATE that when it offers a product for a few Sweatcoins and ‘no money’ but then it tries to stuff you on a massively over-inflated delivery charge! £8.99 to deliver something v small - it completely takes the gloss off the offers.
I’m sticking with it for now as I have almost 5,000 sweatcoins and I might as well keep collecting in case they become worth something. However, I would like to see a better range of product partners, no more crazy delivery charges (I’m happy to pay something) and a wider range of auction products - In particular, smaller things which might sell for 3/4,000 SCs rather than 18-25,000

Great potential but terrible business model

I had such high hopes for this app, and have been using it religiously for well over a year now. Long story short: the company moves the goal posts on the larger prizes so that it’s essentially impossible to ever attain one. I’m a paid subscriber, watch the ads for extra Sweatcoins, all of it. I noticed early on that the prizes weren’t great: you could spend a few a Sweatcoins on free trials that you could easily get tons of other places for free, or wait for a long time to save up for a major trip. Seemed like a good deal to save up, but then Sweatcoin raised the prices on the larger items, making them so far out of reach that no one can ever get to them. This is terrible psychology and a terrible model; did they think we wouldn’t notice? They may have saved a few dollars but have definitely moved themselves into the “scam” category. (And yes, I’ve seen all the admin responses about these auctions that are going to replace the marathon offers. Even if these were appearing in my app, which they aren’t, they’re certainly not what I signed up for. I’m out.

I've been using this app for a good while now. Don't get me wrong, I'm nowhere near the marathon offers but it was nice to know that they were possibly attainable at 20k.... I've just logged back in to see they have now been increased to 26k which i imagine noone will ever achieve. Looking at all the reviews, people have said the same and i see the same copy and paste response from the developers saying people are earning more now due to the new features put in place. If this is the case then why introduce new features to 'earn more' if you're going to increase the target..... Surely this defeats the object? You may as well have left the app as it was.... The low down offers are codes you can get anywhere on the web yet they charge you coins for this just because they are advertising someones company... What's the point of paying coins for an offer that isn't exclusive to have to pay delivery anyway that is majorly inflated? Ridiculous now and no doubt i will receive the same copy and paste response, if I get one at all. Think it may be time to say goodbye. You ruined a good thing with all your 'new features' that help noone.

Spent over a year watching daily ads, racking up revenue for sweatcoin.
As I started to get close to the 20k needed to cash out the 1000£, I decided to actually pay my own money to upgrade to breaker. Within two days the 1000£ has conveniently disappeared from the store before I could cash out, despite the fact it still remains on their website suggesting you can still buy it.
Apart from the marathon offers, sweatcoin is advertising you fake offers. You think you’re getting a free item but really the ‘shipping’ cost you have to pay yourself is covering the cost of that item. You’ll never get anything without actually paying money alongside your hard earned sweatcoins. (they’re making a commission off it too)
All the discounts and special subscriptions can easily be found online for free. So they’re charging you sweatcoins for something that everyone else is getting for free on the actual website.
Everything about sweatcoin is a scam. Every little thing just to hold you back and make sure you never cash out on the marathon offers as they are just simply unobtainable.
The fact they try and say it will one day be cryptocurrency is a complete lie and completely impossible too.
Stay clear and don’t make sweatcoin any richer 👍

Apple Watch app needs work

App works well on your phone (although boost sometimes doesn’t work without data, which you might not have when out for a long walk...), but the Apple Watch counterpart app needs some serious upgrades please! I should be able to view and convert sweat coins directly on my watch, not just through the phone, and there needs to be much better integration with Apple’s activity tracker. Quite a few times I have set a walk on sweatcoin to have it crash midway through, meaning I lose out on the coins and also the workout as far as my watch is concerned.
It would be much better if you can just program sweatcoin to access the steps data directly from the watch workout and convert eligible steps that way, rather than having to set up a walk through SC and have it fail half the time.

This is a great app for encouraging people to walk and move. Yes it would be great if we could get to the top prizes faster and not spend years trying to get there or use our coins for healthy products in stores but it’s new so we have to give credit for trying.
The problem I’ve been facing is that I’m unable to press the Daily Boost anymore! It did used to work but recently it keeps going round and round saying ‘Analysing’ but it won’t let me actually do anything with it. Even when I leave it alone for 10-20 mins with the app open to try to clear the issue, nothing happens. I’ve tried the standard Off and On, deleting then reinstalling but nothing has helped so I’ve missed out on quite a few days now of being unable to Boost and have thus just left my phone at home.
It is a great app for starting off with but there are niggles to adjust!

It’s fine I suppose

This is a good app but is very misleading as it is marketed as it pays you to walk but in fact it just pays you with in-app currency with can be redeemed for different rewards. Most of the rewards are not relevant to me except the Marathon offers which cost 20,000 sweat coins but that’s an amount alimony impossible to achieve considering I’ve had the app for 2 years and have 1,500 sweat coins. It used to have a cash out feature where you could submit your sweat coins for a very low amount of money, (was around £3 for me) but it asked you to add a bank account and when you tried it wouldn’t let you and it said you needed to sign up with one of their partner banks. They have removed the feature anyway so I will just have to keep my sweat coins and hope something actually relevant comes up in the shop at some point.

I love the concept of this app - I’ve been running it for a couple of years and check it every few days.
But that algorithm. God, that algorithm is so far off. I check my steps daily with both a digital step counter and my Apple Watch and do an average of around 16,500 steps a day, seldom less, often more. I do long-distance running as well, always with the app in the background. The app usually logs far less than half of my steps the other two devices record.
Give it up - you’ll never get the £1,000 or the holidays. It’s not going to happen. If you want to make money with steps, download HealthyWage or something. But as a fun, sometimes irritating thing to have going in the background while you spend a decade building up the Sweatcoins to actually buy something, it’s quite good. I won’t be deleting it (I’m stubborn), but I wouldn’t proactively recommend it to anyone either.

Good app but still needs work.

It’s good because it means walking the dog in the early cold winter mornings is much less of an arduous task now. But now the problems: First being the choice of items in the marketplace because some of them are simply things that I don’t want I think many people would agree with that. But the biggest problem is how much it drains the battery of my phone and how if I even dare shut down the app the warning notifications it gives me it’s actually quite patronising and I think the developers need to make it work better and more efficiently with battery life because the majority of us already have enough apps on our phones that drain out battery so having another thing drain the life out of our phones is just more hassle. It’s a good app with a good idea if you look at the bigger picture and if the developers just pulled their heads out of their arses and just made sweatcoins a useable currency in like fruit and veg sections of supermarkets and health product shops this app would be practically perfect because the £1,000 cash prize is almost not worth it because for someone like me who has back pain issues its going to take me like 10 years to reach it! I find myself charging my phone twice as much as I usually would simply because I want to tot up my steps. This app should be fun,
Not stressful.

So with the Coronavirus in full flow its hard to hit the old goal of 2,000 steps; so they lowered it to 1,000 steps to get 3 spins (by watching 3 adverts) on their random sweatcoin generator offering anything between 0.5 Sweatcoins (SWC) up time 25SWC per spin - meaning even without a fully functioning app you could gain a minimum of 1.5SWC per day which will at least pay for your subscriptions.
When the app was glitching and not able to convert steps due to an IOS update - they gave everyone 10 Sweatcoins to make up for the last generating possibilities.
In this most recent update - they kept the 1,000 step goal but now the app has a chance of not giving Sweatcoins (yet the app developers still get paid because we still have to watch the adverts).
Most of the regular rewards on offer have little to no relevance to me as I’m not super active (apart from walking) and most of the clothing options are not in my size.
I’m trying for the marathon rewards but I doubt I would ever get to them - 20,000SWC is needed for $1000 USD - I’ve been on sweatcoin for nearly 3 years and I’ve not yet broken 7,000 SWC.
So either I’m chasing a pipe dream or the team do not intend on giving these high value prizes.

Can really see thought and idea of this app, makes sense. Giving you something to drive & focus on. Can see upgrades and updates happening frequently which shows the team behind put a lot of thought into the development to make it the best as they possibly can. Responding to all these negative comments and welcoming all suggestions. I genuinely haven’t bought anything from the app so don’t really know about reliability but I think it’s safe to say it’s legit! Only thing I’m unsure of.. if me and a mate partner up to build up coins to get a big reward and split it.. is this possible? Really think it should be. Regardless of who’s got what we both have put the effort in & both have chosen to do this. It’s not like it’s fake/false coin build up its genuine & should just be allowed. It makes the end goal seem so distant maybe this is why people feel as if the end target is unbearable and negativity and slander occurs. I think it should be whatever way shape or form you want to reach the target you set as long as it’s in the guidelines, genuine it shouldn’t matter :)

The app is good..but there r so many products that physically cannot be reached like iPhone, holidays, tv. Even if we visit the video ol the time we only get 1 coin unless we pay for the subscriptions... which is nothing.. also there r offers on but they r expensive.. especially the delivery fee..
Another thing is if we transfer the coins we cannt usee them so whats the points.???
Repetitive offers are so annoying as well. Or 50% of on certain things and at the end the product costs €\$\£100 Or more. Some students already get good offers or discounts with their student cards or unidays or student beans. So it irrelevant for students. Also, now the everyday entry/draw prize. I spent more coins but always said “try next time” even i do it after they launch it. Useless. It doesn’t work! Please review the offers before posting.l with right knowledge 😑😑😑😑 overall it is a good/smart app 👍.

The only reason I've given it 4 stars is that it's free if not it would most likely be 2! First of all, I personally think the total steps are inaccurate considering I had a Fitbit which told me I had done 5500 steps at school and sweatcoin only saying 4000 even though I had the app on in the background all day and I didn't have low battery mode on. As well as that out of my 4000 steps only about 2800 were logged even though I know for a fact that's very wrong I would accept 3500 but that's just too much. So even though the conversion rate is so bad on top of that sweatcoin do a 5% commission which they don't need to do because they already have a 30% commission, just unofficially. As well as that not counting steps in your house is frustrating but understandable still something to fix though.

The idea of this app is great - get exercising and you can earn prizes. It’s motivational and will encourage more people to walk around.
The only downside is, after a year or 2 of using this app, I’ve accumulated thousands of points, and there is very little to spend it on. In the past they’ve had free trials on things like Tidal music service, but today when I looked, all I could exchange 2 years worth of points for in my area is a ‘discount’ off a spa day.
If they had a much bigger variety of prizes, it would be worth it, but there just isn’t. They keep teasing that you can get an iPhone or a holiday, but I’ve worked out that it would take 24 years to earn enough daily points to afford one of those.
There is an option to pay premium, and be allowed to earn extra points per day, but again, unless there were better prizes/offers, there isn’t any motivation to spend money on that.

So far so good.

I like this concept dearly. Though I understand there are many challenges in terms of creativity and producing more than it can in terms of rewards and product discounts. The conceptual issue is to entice those people to get out and about and to earn whilst doing so. The beast is to get real cash for the steps you make. They’re working on this and to achieve this will be the future. I’m supporting this trend because people need to get fitter.
Four stars purely because right now you cannot get cash for the stacks you build up. But in time I know and believe that this will come about.
Idea is great and probably some work needed to entice companies to accept digital money in stocks and shares, will only come in time. Be patient and let’s all work to get that ambition to reality. I do love this app.

Sweatcoin was great when I first got the app, I was so excited about all the deals and free stuff, I was recommending it to everyone. But as I got more used to it and started looking at the offers more, they where mainly the same, I get how hard it is to get deals as well. Unfortunately that’s not all. I purchased an offer on the reading app and I did what it told me to, and it didn’t work. So then I went to help read through all that, and found out after I needed to send a fault fix, I did, but that was ages ago and I’ve never got a refund since. I love the bucket lists offers! There amazing! I mean the last one was skydiving! Please reapet that!
Unfortunately I do not go round recommending this to everyone, however I did get 17 people to join the app! So yeah! Thanks sweatcoin for making a fairly good app. It’s not I’m my recommendation, and I’m giving it two stars. So just improve on the faults the offers and the glitch with the steps!

Sweatcoin is a good app that rewards you for walking. However the rewards aren’t great. There are two types of rewards, smaller rewards that are normally extremely specific and only appeal to a small amount of people. There are big rewards like £1000 but it would literally take anyone 2 years to get enough Sweatcoin’s to get this even if people combined their Sweatcoin’s . There needs to be something in the middle of the two rewards like on the American store where you can get £50 in the form of money or a gift card. If they made this happen in the uk many more people would use Sweatcoin and not think it was a gimmick and it would get a 5 star rating in from me if this change happened

The app itself is good on my phone, though as someone who owns an Apple Watch the process of recording steps is daunting. The constant need to open the app and spam the begin button just for the tracking to start is a hassle alone, on top of the extreme battery usage. Don’t even get me started on having to remove the cluttery endless amounts of “workouts” from my activity app on my phone afterwards. The app doesn’t even take advantage of the new series 4 bigger screens!
Personally, I believe that being able to have Sweatcoins use the data already recorded by the Watch in its own default tracking app would be miles better than what is available right now. Not only is the current process annoying, it wastes so much time when there is already a near full proof system already implemented for tracking steps natively on the Apple Watch.

Great idea but poorly implemented

I’ve had this app for a long time and been optimistic... but I’m more and more frustrated with it. For example today I ran 10km and walked another 10. In all 25,000 steps, all outdoors. My reward? 3100 steps. And I’ve paid to upgrade to get 20,000 per day.
And that’s not a one off, this happens most days. I understand the need to verify the steps but I would expect at least 90% to be picked up.
Not many rewards, either small discounts from large retailers who have these same or better discounts available with a quick search online. Any time I see something to save towards it is usually removed as I get anywhere near close to the required amounts. The long term goals seem promising but are in reality unachievable. 20,000 coins in 2 years just adds up if it is maxed every day, but as I said above if I only get 15-20% of steps awarded then it’s more like 10 years on the app.
I bought something once. I think it cost 50 coins for a free shaker bottle. Great! But when I got to the checkout, the postage was £7.99. The bottle itself was only £8.99 with free postage. So a waste of 10 days walking. None of this was mentioned before buying the offer (the information has since been changed). I emailed support several times but no answer.
Kills the battery. About 5-10% of my battery use according to iPhone is sweatcoin.
Keeping the app for now as I’ve put so much time into it but needs a lot of improvement.

I started using sweatcoin recently and it’s become a bit of an addict, but somehow in a good way, which is great. It’s really good to know your earning just from walking from point A to B. But I feel there aren’t enough rewards. I live in Central Scotland and I’ve heard of these local offers but I don’t seem to get any, probably because of my location. I’m not saying they need local offers globally, I’m saying they need
more offers that all can access. I’m sure if Sweat Coin reached out a bit and advertised, more companies would give them offers and more people will use the app in general. I hope they act on this and I will willingly use the app till they do, and obviously after also.

It was great at first as they had some good rewards such as the crep protect spray and a few others which you could earn with a few weeks worth of (realistic) walking which really incentivised you to earn sweatcoins, especially as no extra work is required on your behalf apart from having the app on your phone. Nowadays, the shop merely consists of subscriptions and shopping discounts which aren’t even worth spending sweatcoins on as most of which you can actually get on the actual vendor website themselves or via a discount code/groupon/wowcher.
I think the app was a great idea and in the beginning it was definitely encouraging to track my steps because the rewards were actually pretty decent, however with the only good shop items being massively out of reach (many years of steps required) it’s pointless to have this app downloaded.

Incredibly dysfunctional - at least for me

I like the fact this app motivates me to walk and run more and the concept is great. But it works horribly for me and I am very tempted to delete the app forever. I’ll give an example - Yesterday I came to Dubai. After getting to my room I had 4 thousand steps counted and another three thousand were not counted. An hour later I left to walk outside and notice that all my steps were gone - and none were converted. I shrugged it off and went outside to come home to about 4 thousand steps counted and 7 thousand not counted before my phone died. I come home and after I turn my phone back on, I have 11,000 steps that weren’t sent - eight thousand of which just disappeared into thin air. It’s incredibly hard for me to keep getting more and more steps because of how incredibly dysfunctional the app is. It owe me at least two hundred thousand steps, most of which either don’t happen to be counted, or just vanish. Please tell me what to do with this as it is becoming incredibly irritating.

I love the concept of this app and I enjoyed using this app to start with it was a good way to push myself a bit further. Yes the offers you could spend coins on were mostly just discounts but that wasn’t a huge surprise. It was when I realised just how few offers were ever available that I started to get disappointed. Yes you might get a new one most days but there are only 3 or so at any given time with the exception of the marathon offers which help to make you think there might be something at the far end.
The big frustration has been the inability to get any technical support when the app stopped converting my steps properly. 15 minute walks to the station and back we’re counting as fewer than 10 steps. I followed all of the suggested fixes, updating the app, checking my gps, resetting my gps etc, and eventually reached out for additional support, all I have been able to reach is an AI generated email which repeats the same suggestions. It’s a shame that something that is such a great concept hasn’t delivered more. I think I will investigate some of the alternative options out there.

The app is a con

When you first start using the app - aka when you have no ‘Sweatcoins’ - there will be good rewards on offer to make you think the app is worth using. But as you go on the rewards get more expensive, and thus not as affordable, and not as good, for example: breakfast muesli. Also, most of the time your ‘Sweatcoins’ can’t even be spent directly on an actual item; you can spend them on subscriptions or discounts on things. The products on offer are all fitness related too, with the exception of a few products with impossible price tags, so don’t even bother downloading the app unless if that’s your cup of tea. Furthermore, the app doesn’t count the steps you do inside, which is disappointing if you do a lot of steps indoors, like at work. Overall, this app is not worth the time unless if you’re a hardcore fitness fan willing to wait months to get a good reward.

Fun and gets me walking.

It’s kinda interesting to see how many steps it’s takes me to walk a certain distance but the only time I use the app to its potential is when I’m drunk and thinks it’s an excellent idea to walk the 6 mile journey from the pub back to my house...My legs are currently the size of tree trunks because I’m regularly at the pub. Would be better if there were more things I’d wanna buy with my sweatcoin, instead of designer dog food and half price off a membership to go white water rafting. Other than the lack of things to buy, it’s a really good app and will continue to use it and anyone that has a job or even a hobby that includes a lot of outdoor activity should definitely download this app.

Hey sweat coin the app is pretty good as an idea but my problem is that theres things that i just don’t understand like for example why is there things that cos like 2000 sweat coins no one can reach that except if they walk around everyday every month until you have months of time spent on this app but then theres problems on this application like when i try go into the store place it just doesn't load i wait for minutes and minutes and it wont load and it has nothing to do with my internet because i tried with hotspot data and all kinds of ways when i go around exercising just to get the stuff then after whilst paying the app what you want you don't let me get my payback for this this ain’t a hate review its just trying to help telling you what i would like as a improvement and help me with

Needs work

The idea of the app is great - however, I don’t like the idea that the makers can track every step you make, every single day. Essentially that’s how the app works, but instead of giving you actual genuine rewards for exercising, it tricks you into thinking you’re working towards something when in actual fact, there’s no monetary value to this app whatsoever. You’re not being paid, you’re not receiving rewards as such. You save your coin and you can use them to purchase subscriptions or items but they are really limited. None of the rewards advertised have been relevant to me. You can save your coins for an iPhone, which is the equivalent of 20k sweatcoins, however, that’s quite an impossible amount to raise. Especially considering the max coins you can earn in 1 day is 5 (unless you use your coins to pay monthly to be able to increase that to 10 coins). You can transfer coins to other people but they’re not applicable when it comes to using them to purchase items which is a bit of a dud.
Great idea for an app. I have read that the makers eventually want to make sweatcoin a cryptocurrency and increase the number or rewards you can claim. But that seems like a distant dream rather than actual reality at this point. Still, I shall keep the app and save my coins and who know what will have changed in 6 months to a year!

The humongous toll this app takes on your phone’s battery aside, this is a tedious app. The idea is nice but unfortunately walking around for really useless products. To use this app is to trick yourself into thinking you need to work towards earning ‘rewards’ that are very unnecessary to anyone’s life. iPhone X’s and cash prices that you will never ‘earn’ via just walking. Transferred money doesn’t work and paying for accounts that allow you a higher daily limit of possible sweatcoin earnings mean that ultimately you are paying for products with money as well as your time.
I have also wondered if it’s really a good thing to actively allow a company to track every single movement you make. This is like a mine for data on people’s habits. Like ‘checking in’ with each step you take. It’s hard to say it’s not necessary though, I guess that’s needed to make the app work as intended. Which brings one to the realisation that the whole concept of this app necessitates playing an active role in being a consumer. It’s like tricking oneself into being a wanting consumer and I’m sure there are plenty of better ways to motivate oneself into walking for ones health, if that’s what you are really after.
Concept is cute but flawed essentially. I just don’t think this technology and approach plays out how you hope it does when downloading the app!

The app is great I can’t deny that but it needs a couple of extras to make it even better.
The user interface could do with being a little more informative for what’s going on in the marketplace and on my profile part.
Definitely need more partners to offer better rewards that are semi reachable and don’t take 18 months to get to. Yes the big ones are worth it and I’m happy do do the leg work for them. Just need a better variety.
This leads me onto my biggest thing, rather than using the phone as a pedometer. Is there any way of creating one that links to the app that I can stick down my sock as I play a lot of sports and can’t go charging around with my phone on me so a small enough band or something the size of a button would be the best thing ever.
Other than what I’ve said there I enjoy using the app and I’m trying to get more people to use it as it’s a great idea.

5* concept, 4* conversion, 3* offers

The concept is, in my opinion, iconic. Having created a currency to encourage people to watch themselves earn as they walk outside is a brilliantly simple idea, with a reward at the end - most of which you do have to contribute some cash flow towards.
So far, I’ve had a free Razor worth £22, - free face wash, £5 off a grooming kit (which I wanted anyway!), 2 months of NOW TV cinema pass, £15 off a £50 Footlocker voucher (I shop there) and all sorts of other incentives.
Granted, the offers aren’t all ‘free’, or spectacular. Some are so ridiculously unachievable unless you invite friends and family members to the app to build your Sweatcoin allowance where you’re rewarded with bonus coins... but the intent is there. Me? I’m off my a*** walking to work and back and quite enjoying not burning money on fuel and parking and spending that on fairly good deals.
Could it be better? The gifts, absolutely. But I think it’s a promising idea with lots of growth potential. I’m a few gifts and 600 coins in, so I’m sticking with it ;)

Feeling sceptical...

Why oh why is there the option to send coins to friends or other users, when as far as I can see all the best purchases available can only be made with coins that are not transferred and are ‘earned by you’. What is the point of having a send coin feature? Effectively it makes any coins sent or received absolutely worthless. Further, perhaps I’m wrong, but I see no account login which suggests there is no way of using the same account on a new device. This suggests that if my phone is lost or I upgrade my handset all my hard earned coins will be gone? The concept of this app is good, but please app developer, just be completely transparent otherwise many many people will become sceptical like me, the sceptic word will eventually spread, and all your hard work will be worthless (just like any transferred sweat coins)!
