Over 500 views on one add yet no messages.

I contacted a seller about an item I was interested in but got no reply.

Obviously something wrong.

Contacted customer services who said everything works as it should.

What was REALLY the point of this update a week after the last one??

Did this app go through testing? What were/are the deliverables?

Why is there no option for a back button? Take a look at that of Pets4Homes and borrow ideas and inspiration. Will review this after it's been looked into. 0 stars if possible!!

It’s honestly easier to use on safari. There is no back button so once you view an add you have to run the search again to see others.

Needs tweaking

Easy to use but automatically logs out every couple of days which is a pain. Also receive ghostly messages - on screen banner saying new message but there’s none there when you go to look. Needs finer points perfecting please. Still no back button installed to return to search results after viewing an ad, despite customers repeatedly requesting one.

Edit: please, please install a back button to return you to the list you are browsing once you have finished looking at an advert. Being compelled to begin the search over every single time really puts me off using Preloved.

Poor app, feels unprofessional

This app is a bit like Gumtree but with poor execution and a frustrating app. I just tried creating an selling advert and out of the 3 photos I uploaded the middle one became the primary photo, why?? The order of photos is important when selling, feels so amateur. Tried to edit my existing ad and, how.. annoying! Stick with Gumtree or others, seriously!

Don’t waste your time with this rubbish

This app is under developed and is generally very bad. Doesn’t remember your login details and once you click on an ad it’s impossible to get back to the search screen without starting all over again. Just look at the reviews here and you can see they don’t care as they haven’t updated anything in over 2 years.

One of the worst apps I’ve ever used.

This app is absolutely horrible, there is no back button option, none of the sorting filters work, if you search by most recent you still just get ads from months ago and the recent stuff doesn’t show in correct order at all.

Honestly Preloved, get your stuff together and have some pride in your business. Embarassing app that I’d give 0* if I could. Truly frightful user experience.

Love the app but when you go through the listing and then look at an item you can’t get back to the listing without starting all over again, or is it me? I’ve tried and tried but can’t do it about to give up on it now

Once selecting an item to open whilst searching there is no function to click back or return to list. Instead the app takes you back to the home screen so you have to retype your search and then scroll to your last item to continue browsing.

This app used to be great but now it brings up ads that are so old they won’t open and I can’t navigate back you have to start a new search every time. Needs some TLC.

And now I can’t get it to work correctly at all. I can’t do a search and go into an item and back out without it reverting to Home Screen and having to do the search again.

Usability is very poor

Filtering, searching and returning to the refined list is impossible, constantly have to reset the filtering options to refine the results. On drilling to view an advert you can’t return to the list you have to start all over again. You need a better focus on usability for the app.

Needs work

When looking at an advert and want to return back to main adverts it takes you back to the search bar or previous page before. Also not a fan of it showing adverts and when clicking on them they’re actually unavailable, having to log in constantly is also a pain. very very annoying please fix these issues it would make the website and app a much better experience. Preloved is a great however the way it runs isn’t.

Not good!

First off, every time I revisit this app it gives me a blank white screen. I assume it must need updating so I have to download and start again. If that isn’t the problem then it’s that it’s logged me out every time I go back on it, despite having ticked the “keep me logged in” box. If I’m lucky enough to not have these issues then if I search for something then click on an item, as soon as I click the back button out of that item it has cleared my search and I have to put an new search in. Very frustrating if I am a few pages in on a particular search item. Very poor app. Doesn’t do what it is required. Often I end up using the browser version.

Don’t use

If you want to sell stuff Preloved is definitely not the way they will put your ad live for a few days and make it so only people who have “pre loved premium” can see your posts so anyone who’s just browsing and is new to the app won’t see your advert even if they search for it they won’t find it. I put my kitten up for 5 days and they decided to take it down 5 days later go to gumtree or eBay or even Facebook

Could do with improving

I use lots of apps and generally once downloaded and logged in that’s it, the app remembers me. With this app I’m constantly having to log in every use which is annoying. Also when searching if you click through to an advert there doesn’t seem to be a way to go back to your search? I’m finding I return to searching online because of the back button. I don’t think it’s me, as other apps don’t work like this. I like the site, but not the app

A once good app destroyed!

This used to work really well. Now it doesn’t remember your login when you select remember my login so you have to sign in every single time you open the app!

They have also rearranged most of the pages (especially where your account is with your advert and messages) in a format that looks like it was designed for desktop computers! Small print, squashed up screen and terrible formatting.

Add no notifications from messages and no way of seeing what is a new / unread message in your list of messages when you finally stumble across them means this app has taken a big nose dive and is next to useless!

You get the same experience as going to your browser and logging into your account. It’s currently a waste of valuable space on your phone!

Constantly lose your place

One you click on an ad there is no back button to get back to the search page, which means you have to renter all the filter options and find your place again! Really annoying, I hardly use the app anymore, instead I use the website on safari instead so I don’t have to keep losing my place!

Decent!

When compared to other apps that do the same thing, this is not the best. But it’s no where near as bad as folk are making it out to seem. I’ve used this app for 2 years and had 0 problems. Found several local people over the years who I’ve got animals from and all were lovely.

At the end of the day if a seller scams someone it is not preloveds fault, and app users should not act like it is such.

Layout is a bit confusing and there could be a better way to go to the previous page (instead of having to retype your search and put in the filters every time you close an ad). Message notifications would also be fantastic.

Other than this I have nothing to complain about. The free membership is *very* reasonable and price for full membership is amazing. Room for improvement, but overall a great app I use regularly and am happy to a paid subscription to.

Poor navigation

I don’t know if it’s just my iOS app but there’s no option to return to previous search screen.

After clicking on an item to view, no back tab so I’ve got to start all over again and fill the search from scratch.

It won’t keep me signed in or save my details despite settings being correct.

App is dreadful.

You do a search putting in your filters and search criteria and it gives you the results, but when you click through on an advert, you then can’t go back to the search results. There’s no button to navigate back so you have to do your search all over again EVERY time. May as well use the browser version as the app is poorly made.

Has everyone gone home?

Feels like this app stopped working about 8 -10 months ago. none of the functions work properly anymore making the site extremely frustrating and useless. I’m not planning on paying for membership again!. Tried emailing for some advice because nothing seems to work but no response at all. have the staff all gone home? It feels like someone’s just turned the off switch snd left it running.

Beginning to wonder if this app is just a robot , numerous complaints dating back to April 2021 regarding no back button (used to have one on the old app)so you enter a search and scroll down 40 adds and find what your looking for then kerpow a big smack in the face no way to get back to the search so you have to go home and enter the same search criteria and memorise (hopefully) where you where , frustrating beyond belief so here it is , if there’s anybody actually a person within the tech team of this app , I challenge you to prove me wrong and make contact or are you just a robot??

Search by word or category - fine. Dare to go into any advert on your search results and you’ll regret it as there’s no option to go back to your search results list. Downhill

First of all, I really dislike the ‘new’ configuration of the App, I have been a member many years & bought a high number of goods.

I used to really enjoy browsing, but not any more, one I have viewed an add there’s no back button to the category chosen!!!

Also I have paid for full membership twice & have never been able to use the full service.

All in all I’m extremely disappointed in what used to be one of my favourite apps.

Very disappointed in this app

I’ve been a Preloved user for years, and it’s great. I’ve bought many things from this site. However, since about 5 months ago, this app doesn’t work. First, I would go onto the app and be met with only a white page (I tried this on two different phones, and was met with the same error) so I just deleted the app. The site was fine. Tried again about 2 months later, same error. And now, the error is gone, but when I click on an ad, it says “ad is no longer available”. It says this for every advert. Once again, site works fine! The app just never works. Every time I upload an ad on the app, it stays on the “uploading” screen and doesn’t move. I just have to use the site. Very disappointed

Problem with the app

When I open the app you can only see the top bit, rest of the page don’t load! I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but it’s still the same, it’s very intermittent when it fully loads, was hoping for a update to fix this but nothing, I normally enjoy the app but the last few weeks haven’t been able too.

The app doesn’t work on iPhone after you update the software on your phone. I have contacted Preloved regarding this issue and it’s been a week and no joy.

On the flip side I have bought and sold loads of stuff and the feature that I like it tells you how far you are and when you consider everything then the membership fees practically pays for itself.

I can’t see ad’s that have been posted as it tells me i have no ‘internet connection’ tried with wifi and mobile network neither works and the ‘refresh’ at the bottom of the screen does nothing - had the issue around 8/9 months so the £5 i spent upgrading to a premium account has almost been wasted and the developers don’t seem to be updating the app.

I’ve had this app for a while and it was working fine until 2 weeks ago, it keeps saying no connection even though my internet is completely fine everywhere else, is anyone else having this problem. I HAVE PAID PREMIUM for my account and have contacted for help 3 times and no reply. Not happy.

Down hill.

Absolutely going down hill this site. Slow loading on iPhone and no one responds for tech issues. And now as of Jan 2021 can’t even load the app (no internet it continually says) Uninstalled and reinstalled (interestingly by downloading the app 3 times using the internet) but no luck, still says I’ve no internet.

Reported it but no reply because that would mean someone taking an interest.

Going to try other options hopefully find one that is operated by someone!!

I am usually happy with the app however there’s some sort of glitch or problem currently where it won’t let me log in on the app! It says I don’t have internet connection when I do? And I’ve tried deleting the app multiple times turning my phone on and off again and it’s clearly your problem so fix it! No notifications and messaging system is really bad

I’ve messaged loads of people on here enquiring and looking for more information and I either get no text back as or I get a text but it hasn’t came through on my notifications as the notification system is horrible instead of giving a direct notice someone had messaged me it goes through my emails and it makes it more hassle and I don’t think anyone is getting my messages as well because of the system

Too many bugs

Preloved app keeps closing as soon as I’ve filled in the form for a new ad. After all that effort it shuts off and I’ve been unable to post anything. I’ve reinstalled the app a few times and still the same bugs. Sometimes the adverts glitch and cover half the screen.

Annoyingly Annoying

Omg I thought at one point I was going to throw my phone at the wall, 😤😤the time it takes to upload 3 photos, then if you’ve upgraded it allows you to upload as many you want but only in 3’s, so basically to upload 9 photos it’s going to take you roughly 15/20 mins 😴😴😴, that’s just one item loaded.... seriously Preloved App you’re going to have to upgrade here, and be better than your competitors, say no more 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

To many advertisements, always first 2 photos view ok, than the 3 rd photo takes ages. A lot has changed I used to use when they first started, have just bought some items- but again way to many adverts.

BTW also took about 10 or so attempts to get registered- very frustrating- will keep on using and see how I get on.

Annoying

Relatively simple to use, although I would like to be able to upload more than three photos without having to pay for the privilege. More irritating to me is that I continually get notifications that I have unread messages when I don’t, which is just so annoying. Think I’d rather take my items to a car boot sale and have done with it.

This app is missing way too many options, no search within in area is the main one, if it is there it’s so badly designed it can’t be found, like George Bush’s weapons of mass destruction the search goes on, the industry’s current bad design seems to continue on, bad software buggy software and hideous software, the industry just doesn’t seem to get it, it just gets worse and worse and this app is a classic example of it

We have just been scammed by a woman selling staffy puppies paid deposit through PayPal went to view puppy today a 2 hour drive got to the address given guess what no puppies she has now removed advert and is not responding to any messages I have a totally heart broken daughter as she was so looking forward to getting a puppy this is disgusting behaviour can’t believe people would be so horrible

Terrible don't waste your time use shpock instead

Use to use it years ago but after paying monthly fees for a business account I noticed that there were people advertising on there which were obviously businesses but weren't paying for a business account, I reported this problem many time but they did nothing. I cancelled it and stopped using it. But last week I thought I'd have another go as I was looking for a fish tank, payed £5 so I could message someone which was a waste of time as it had gone, so I thought I'd advertised an item as seen as I'd pay £5, it took 3 attempts to list ( app kept crashing) then I looked a few days later and they won't let me list as I need a business account, u know what preloved u can keep your £5 and shove ur app where the sun don't shine

This business is doomed

How in their right mind can a business like this set up such an interesting model which is then fundamentally flawed by the fact that you cannot reply to anybody for 12 days. The owners of this classified ads service are not business people. They don’t understand money. You’re going down just like what happened to Friends Reunited. They charged you to send a message to someone. Preloved will go the same way. Then it’s too late as everyone will have found new pastures and won’t be coming back. Alter your business model now before it’s too late.

AWFUL

I paid for membership on this site and it used to be quite a good place to buy/sell. Now however, the ads never work! For a few weeks now I’ve been trying to place/edit my ads and it always says ‘uh oh! Can’t place that ad right now’ and I thought that was a temporary thing but it’s been happening for weeks! Really frustrating when you actually pay membership to buy/sell! Definitely wouldn’t recommend this app or site to anyone! Save your money and download another app! I will not be renewing my membership once it runs out!

App Unusable

I have used Preloved for a few years but since this last app I find it most frustrating as when trying to list an item to sell and pick out the pictures I want to show off my item it will not load the photos and my item therefore is not listed. It is a shame as otherwise Preloved is a very good site. Hope this will get resolved. I am very disappointed with Preloved just now.

Far too many adverts. Used to be a brilliant place to sell stuff but now so commercialised. Also can only add three photos - even if you’re selling a car!!! How anyone would be interested in a car with only three photos? Also difficult to upload as you have to go right back to source each upload from scratch - if it’s far back in your photos you can be scrolling for ages.

Switched back to eBay as much simpler and not bombarded with adverts continually loading.

Good app

Free, easy to use and download pictures. It has blocked me from selling certain products but theirs others site to sell on too. Had no problems with anything. Be prepared for time wasters. But 95% of people I’ve sold to have been lovely.

Should be called car mart

The site should close as it needs a lot of work, to make a point of view when you choose something of interest to look at in next to no time you are scrolling though pages of cars and the app is in a never ending down loading mode plus I have reset my password three times and the next time I try to open it it tells me my name or password is wrong......if I sell my goods soon I will be going else where to sell my unwanted stuff

Great app

I like the fact that you have to pay a fee that sorts out the good sellers from the bad if you are a genuine seller you will pay if you are not you moan about it keep up the good work preloved better than the one advertised on tv begining with s that is a bad sellin app if you want to be ripped of try that one

Good but should be free at all times

This a good app, with interesting items but is two tier.

Waiting days before you can access sellers reduces saleability for sellers & is disappointing for buyers without a membership payment as a paid member & outdated. Gumtree, Freeads etc manage without a discriminatory fee successfully.

Would therefor be a 5* app if free to all with more appeal all round.

Admin team are nuts

Trying to sell genuine Mulberry which my Mam bought but I didn’t like. So sat in my cupboard a year. Still in box. All packaging. With RECEIPT.

They’re admin team have tried to tell me twice this is fake (House of Fraser are allowed to do this are they?) when it isn’t. I have put 3 times in the advert it’s real. Offered to send them a picture of the receipt, since you can only have 3 pics on an add, that message gets ignored and I get the same one again. Ask to cancel my account. Has to be done through the same admin team who, instead of getting back to cancel, send me ANOTHER message saying my genuine purse is fake. I HAVE THE RECEIPT HOW MANY TIMES!!

What a waste of time! Wait till eBay does a £1/2 final value fee offer and use them!!

Can’t create an avert so it pointless!

When creating an advert I also experienced the issues mentioned in other reviews where it doesn’t access all your photos (for me it was the first 200 photos in my camera roll, all over 5 years old!) I screenshot the photos I wanted to use, this made them magically appear at the end of the apps photo selection, but whenever I pick the photos and press next the app totally shuts down. Tried a few times and won’t be bothering again, plenty of other apps that allow you to sell without this hassle!

Not overly impressed with this app

This app would be amazing if it actually allowed you to access the photos in your photo albums – I took some photos of an item I wanted to list specifically and when it comes to the option of adding them from my photo collection, it doesn’t offer me the full range of photos that I had just taken! I know there is the option to take photos with the camera as you are posting the item – but I don’t want to do this if I’ve already taken the photos!

Really not very flexible at all – I will be using the website in future not this app.

Great App

Just upgraded my iPhone and when I was downloading apps I noticed the app rather than having to use the internet I am a premium member so I can answer all adverts and I recommend spending the bit to sign up
