I hate you no I’m joking this app was really helpful for when I needed to learn meanings of stuff for school but I really hate it when you lot give me notifications I know you can manage the notifications in the settings but whatever overall I would give it an 8/10 bye

Excellent dictionary, poor tech layout
This is a great dictionary and I would of given a 5 star rating. However, the disappointing thing about this app when it opens up to the front page. It does not fit my screen size and looks dreadful. Needs updating to fit relevant phone sizes using. Once in the app, it’s brilliant.

Premium version is not advert free
Lovely dictionary, nice layout, good examples of use of word and good etymology but I paid for the premium version to get rid of adverts and there is still a banner at the bottom of the screen advertising other mobi products and a section advertising their translation app, so in other words, a quarter of the screen on the ad free version is made up of adverts. Perhaps they should look up the meaning of the word "free" as on "advert free".

Tidy little app, always works well and very quick too. Word of the day can be insistent so better join in the trivia hunt, otherwise it will keep repeating itself every morning! Great app and well worth having it is my go to dictionary. However I often use Siri for the voice search and this app for a look up situation where I find a word in print.

Needs a better way of putting in wildcards in searches. At the moment it’s painful having to switch between letters and symbols. I’m never impressed by apps that keep asking for ratings.

Crashes and annoying links to App Store. Slow multitasking with other apps.
I love this app but I’m sick of it crashing, finding all the words I’ve added to favourites disappearing, and also constantly accidentally pressing the button in top right corner switching me to the App Store when trying to search a word or cross a search out!!!!!
Please get rid of the App Store button!!! It’s infuriating!!!
Also don’t appreciate that when switching from an app to the OED, having already been on it, there’s a time delay with the OD screen. Would like the app to be more instant.
Sick of accidentally pressing oxford translator - please remove it from the home screen. As well as the massive rate our app button.

This is a fantastic app.
The interface could be prettier it is true, and the sound recordings of pronunciations are muffled, but the authority and clarity of the content outweigh these minor niggles.

I’m bitterly disappointed by this App. The words generated each day are randomly selected, childlike and simple. I do not recommend unless you are learning in kindergarten!

Very useful
Well worth the price, nothing like carrying a ten kilogram dictionary around in your pocket, no need for internet. I use it daily, vocabulary building is going well. Only issue is the voice pronunciation playback does not work for me and I wish there was an ability to compile word lists on the app. Word of the day is pointless because all are banal vocab. Thoroughly recommend.

If it weren’t for the irritating bug...
This used to be an excellent app, complete with British English pronunciation (rather than the US English that most other dictionary apps seem to offer). It has developed a very frustrating bug. When you look up a word, the definition appears for a few seconds before defaulting to the previous screen. If you are thinking of downloading this app for the first time, don’t. Wait until some action is taken to remedy this bug, as I promise you it will drive you NUTS!
