Hi! I have this game on my Nintendo switch and have been addicted for ages, I love how this game is actually free. Unlike a lot of other free games with in app purchases, this game doesn’t actually require you to buy anything to finish the full game!! Love it - 100% recommend! ❤️

Mindless finger tapping
The game concept is good building your vault is rewarding it has a medium in-depth play. However the movement control using fingers is poor and frustrating which is exacerbated when each room is ready to collect resources. You end up moving your people around to the wrong room. Your constant finger tapping all over the screen to collect water, electric etc…This changes the strategy game play into mindless finger tapping. Developers should slow this down, use and collection, to allow the strategic part of the game to be enjoyable

Cloud issues
I’ve had this app for years and have loved it. However, recent ran into the ‘ad timer glitch’ which caused the timer to set to 25 thousand plus hours.
After deleting them app and reinstalling, I can no longer recover my game on my IPad, and have to use my iPhone. However, according to cloud, my most recent save on my IPhone was from November, so I’ve also lost all the pet carriers and lunch boxes I’ve bought.
These bugs have been around for years and need fixing. It would also be nice if we could track our purchases!

iPad Glitch?
I’ve played this game for years previously and recently got back into it, and it’s amazing, however there is an issue with this game on iPads. It works perfectly fine of my phone and recovered the last cloud save of the game absolutely perfectly. But on my iPad it fails to connect to the cloud every time. After doing some research I found that I’m not the only one and there are many people who can’t access the game on iPad due to this bug or glitch or whatever you want to call it. But this game will not connect to the cloud on so many peoples iPads, and many people have spent money on this game, so it would be brilliant if this could be fixed at some point

Don’t bother
Really enjoyed myself when I first started 2 days ago. Today my base was attacked by Rad Roaches and wiped a lot of my characters out. Then I have to pay caps to revive them which I can’t get as I need to wait ages either by collecting from resources or the Wasteland.
This game should come with a ‘fun’ and ‘survival’ mode as I’m really not interested in the constant combat and I would prefer to fight enemies when I feel ready. Quite frankly the combat is too much too soon and your survival rate very poor.
The pregnant characters are unbearable to have around as they just let the base down during an attack or disaster by running about flailing their arms….until they give birth…which takes ages. Oh and then you have to wait for the child to grow before you can use them so it’s near impossible balancing my population with my ability to defend my base.
The enemies and fires are too strong. The drag drop mechanism is rubbish. Why do the dwellers on other floors react to the incident but don’t go to help? The fires now spread too quickly also.
Honestly just a massive letdown and I will now be uninstalling.

A fun game potentially ruined by glitches
Playing on my 2021 iPad Pro and I can’t seem to enable cloud saves. I’ve tried every common fix (to no avail), and now have a timer glitch where I’ll have to wait a month until my next video!
Doesn’t seem worth playing anymore if I can’t backup my progress or reinstall the app in the event of a glitch like the timer bug I’ve experienced.

More characters, environment, modes, and different challenges, heck maybe an optionto create your own overseer to go into the waste land and trade with other players with caps or other items for things. Like the game but can you ad settlements to the game where you send three people from your vault to make a settlement were it has the same buildings but you can ad defenders on it like in fallout 4s settlement building and can you make it so you can build near the vault entrance.

If you download the game know that maxing your dwellers endurance while they are still level one will mean they have good health. Otherwise they are gonna get killed easily.
It’s fun, just very frustrating. There are a lot of bug like sometimes the hud will remain after tapping off a room meaning 20% of the screen is taken up. This is especially annoying if the mysterious stranger shows up as it’s 20% harder to find him, in fact he is incredibly and increasingly annoying. He’ll arrive and just as you find him the vault is attacked meaning the screen pans away and you can’t get back before he disappears again. Or he’ll show up in the very bottom right corner and he’ll be behind the icons meaning you have to zoom all the way in and then he disappears. Also the larger your vault gets, the harder it is to find him in time because you have more to search. Even when you DO find him and tap him, most of the he is in a room with your dwellers and the game thinks you’re taping the dweller (which it prioritizes for some reason) and then he disappears again. Often these issues occur at once making it nearly impossible to find him in time. Another problem i have is the timer between adverts you can watch to earn rewards used to be a few hours (3 i think) but then it suddenly jumped up to 2400 hours, meaning i have to wait 100 days which is either a really odd choice or a bug. The deathclaw attacks are really frequent, and unless your dwellers have a lot of health, they will die unless you watch them and keep healing them with stim packs. The attacks wouldn’t be that bad, but they’re super strong and you get no reward for beating them. The only attacks that reward you are raider attacks, and they are easy and don’t give great loot.
I do enjoy the game but it needs some work to be great. Like the fact you can have multiple saves is so good. I think the endurance training room should be available at level one, because otherwise you have to cull the dwellers you had from the start because they’re health is just too low late game. Last thing is the tips are really vague, each special stat could do with it’s own tip card to explain exactly what it does and to what degree the stat effects things

Annoying bug
Encountered a bug and now I have to wait 60 hours for an ad and guaranteed rush

Glitch is annoying.
There’s a glitch where you can’t watch an ad for a lengthy time period. Mine is currently at 4100+ hours. This also means when you tap the mysterious stranger you can’t watch an ad for more caps and when you send someone into the wasteland you can’t watch an ad for a 30 minute speed up.
There’s no way to contact Bethesda about it and after goggling it seems this glitch is over a year old.
I enjoy the app and would spend money on it but I’m not willing to spend money if Bethesda aren’t willing to fix a basic glitch.

Fantastic game
Don’t usually write reviews but I had to for Fallout Shelter. One of those games where it’s not pay to win and you can actually advance in the game without spending money. It’s EXTREMELY fun, but maybe one improvement that could be made is to just add more features as it’s soo good!!!!

constructive criticism
I love love love love love this game it’s so good 100% recommend have recommended to my brothers and partner who love it now too. I love to move dwellers around and strategise yet attacks like mole rat attacks happen far too often and are so annoying I’ve been playing less and less as while they happen you can’t permanently move people and I end up feeling like I’m wasting my time waiting for them to end. Also would be cool to be able to get a second quest room and be able to send 3 more groups out.

Definitely my favourite mobile game I’ve ever played and I’ve been playing it for years, it has the perfect balance of actively playing and the idle features involved. I also love the fact the currency you spend to speed up things is actually a resource you can farm in game and you don’t have to buy with actual money - would highly recommend playing this and giving it a go, especially if you are a fallout fan!

Brilliant
It’s not very often you get a truly free to play game for iPad/iPhone, but as others have stated, this is 100% free to play. Of course there is things to buy but you really don’t need to.
It’s a very hard game to put down, with lots of things to do, and some of the dialogue is really funny. I absolutely love this game and other app makers should follow in these footsteps!
3 things on the con side that I think need fixing is, 1: We need the option to move rooms around, 2: Increase the time between vault attacks/disasters, I had just finished healing my dwellers after a Deathclaw attack when they were attacked by Radscorpions! and 3: Speed up quest combat, it shouldn’t take that long for 3 dwellers to kill 1 mole rat or radroach!!
Other than those minor things this game is an absolutely must have for anyone, Fallout fan or not.

Good game but you can’t grow much?
I have played this game a lot over the past month and I don’t usually like strategy games but I keep coming back to this. I’ve never wrote a review before too but this keeps getting me hooked. There’s in app purchases but really you don’t NEED NEED them, I have managed to make 2 automated shelters that can look after themselves and haven’t spent a penny.
The real problem though is that you get to a point where there isn’t anything you can do because the shelters fully built and the combat is really horrible too you just stare at people taking turns to shoot at eachother and can’t do anything else.
If you could attack other shelters and have some better combat to be involved this game would be amazing but even still it’s a really good game that I can’t put down.

Fallout To Last The Ages
Fallout Shelter continues to be a mobile and now Nintendo switch game that I have played for several years.
During this period of quarantine in times that sometimes feel as though we truly are living in an apocalypse this game has brought me hours of fun.
As a writer I enjoy the customisation do characters from their skills to their names. I love spending hours meticulously organising my vault and assigning stories to each dweller. Overall this is a game with so much replay ability and for me does not become boring.
I’m so grateful that this game continues to be updated on a regular basis: if I had to critic the game in any way it would be to say I wish we had even more clothing weapons and hairstyle options added with new updates and or new adventures.
Thank you to the makers for giving us a mobile game that is genuinely free to play and goes above and beyond.

I must say this is definitely one of those games where I wake up to check on my vault every morning. I love the idea of the lunchboxes from the original games where you get your rewards too!
If I could rate it higher I would!
The thing is, I would love something where you could communicate with other vaults, or raid them. Trade resources with them. Not only will it add to the game.

This is an amazing game, you can have fun for ages. But also encourages you not to sit on your phone for too long, placing waiting times for certain things to happen. However some imbalances does make it annoying at times. This would relate to resource rush option, which will end in a fail 95% of the time even when the chance of it succeeding is shown at 20-30%. As I said it’s a great game and would recommend, just some small things which does annoy you at times.

A cynical money grab
It’s free to play, but, without buying upgrades the game is slow and the gameplay intentionally unbalanced to punish players who don’t spend money. The game reels you in at first then slows down. You can spend days building a vault then see it destroyed by repeated rad scorpion attacks. These are frustrating events you can never win against. The scorpions can burrow to any random room in your vault as soon as you get the upper hand. I’ve experienced 3 such attacks in a row. Each time production shuts down and all resources are lost. I’ve played these games since Fallout 1. This game is no fun at all. It’s endlessly frustrating.

Great app/game👌
I got this app when I was bored and wanted some more apps on my phone as I only had a few boring games and TikTok. I thought it would be ok because I looked through the reviews and they were mostly good. However, I decided to download this and it is the best app I have👍.
It says it offers in app purchases, and I am usually cautious when downloading these apps as you often have to pay to play but this app is great because you don’t have to do this, it is just an option.
Anyway, it is really fun because you can choose what too build, build it when you want, and it is really easy to earn the money in the game, which allows you to make the bunkers better. The only problem is is that it is honestly too good! I recommend this because it’s not too easy and not too hard.
I know its meant to be 12+ but it’s my 11th birthday In 2 days and although I only just started playing I think it’s brilliant.😀

One of the better mobile games
Really enjoyable for fallout fans and nice that it seemed a genuine free-to-play game without the intrusiveness of micro transactions (though they are there, just not pushed on you too much). It gets a little grindy towards higher levels and doesn’t do too much new but still definitely one of the better mobile games around. Sad they felt the need to put adverts into the game (though again, you don’t have to watch these) it takes out some of the fun.

Still the same great game and I have no problem with the addition of the video ads as the icon is mostly out of the way and can go unnoticed. If you want to watch the video you may get a good reward (don’t be expect pet carriers or lunchboxes every time). I can even ignore the ad placed into the exploring the wasteland part of the game as it is optional to extend the journey time by 30 minutes. The reason I dropped my rating from 5 star to 4 is that finding the mysterious stranger now triggers a choice which interrupts the flow of the game to invite you to watch an ad. The pop up is not optional so I feel that this ad choice is a little forced on you as you didn’t choose to have the choice, you just wanted the caps for finding the stranger. You can chose to watch a video to double your caps from the caps. It is a free game after all and it was only a matter of time since ads appeared, I just prefer if the ad pop ups are not forced on me for playing the game.

This game was generally good! and i liked the idea and concept. The only problem was that the attacks and timing was absolutely ridiculous! Yes i understand you have attacks from time to time but I had one straight after the other! This hadn’t given enough time for my dwellers to recover nor give them all stimpacks so most of them died! This is extremely stressful as I have to start all over again. Please sort this issue and ensure there’s a time limit before another attack because not everyone is able to spend money to heal everyone asap.

Extremely amazing game, but some problems
I genuinely love this game, but there are a some changes i would like the developers to add.
I would really like a list at the top, which shows you the dwellers who’ve recently arrived, or children who have grown up, as it is quite frustrating hunting down the dweller who has just turned into an adult. This makes it difficult to give then jobs because it appears they are on a ‘coffee break’ even though they have no job. Although you could also add a job ‘unemployed’ to also fix this problem.

More features needed
amazing game! I love this game and can never get bored of it, but it would be amazing if you added some rooms such as security rooms that have turrets or more options to help defend the entrance such as a room with a turret and guards that do extra damage or something and also a some sort of first response team where they automatically go and deal with disasters on that floor or on the floor above and below or something like that would be awesome, also I would love to see some sort of doctor room which has doctors who go around and heal dwellers if you have the stimpacks, another idea is some sort of market, where you would send dwellers to go to a local settlement and trade bottle caps for weapons or even outfits and junk they have, I think this would be really cool, or a system where you build a trading room which attracts traders and the more you upgrade the room the better traders are attracted which have better loot, I hope someone sees this comment as I think some of these ideas would be a great addition to the game!

I really enjoyed playing this game, however as I progressed to well over 100 dwellers, Death Claw attacks became a common occurrence. This was acceptable until I realised that they drained all of the dwellers health (in the room that they were in) regardless of whether they were being attacked or not. This meant that even though my dwellers were well armed, they almost instantaneously died. I subsequently spent all of my caps reviving important dwellers. I would love for this feature to be reviewed. Other than that, brilliant game. Would recommend.

And so...
Starts off great fun to play but after you’ve built everything (which only took a few weeks) everything becomes mind numbingly repetitive. Missions are all but identical, the only difference being the length of time it takes to get to the destination (the last one I did took 20 hours) and for it to last all of 5 mins and them call them back which just becomes a rinse and repeat annoyance. You can send individual characters out to collect stuff in the wastelands but after you send them out you have no control of them from then on. All you do is take a look at them to make sure they aren’t dead (you can revive them if they are for a some caps) and after they have been out there for a few days (in real world time) you call them back and then wait till they do and again it’s more rinse and repeat.
There’s no real strategy to speak of as it’s all too easy just to wing it. It’s literally just collecting resources and moving characters around occasionally (and I mean ‘occasionally’).
The graphics are nice enough but nothing stand out that hasn’t been seen many many times before.
All in all it’s fun while it lasts but my advice would not be to sink any significant amount of money in it because longevity is not this games strong point.

A genuinely FREE to play game. Lots of fun.
I find that with a lot of “free to play” games that include in app purchases, they are everything but “free” if you intend to play the game fully, even just doing certain missions/events and such. Here lies the exception from the many games I played on iPad. This IS realistically a free to play game and I made purchases out of respect for a good game, rather than because it was practically essential to get anything from the game. Well done Bethesda. The games currency is bottle caps which are abundant just by playing normally. There is also ‘Nuka cola’ which can be used to speed up certain things.... This can also be obtained quite easily on a daily basis by completing missions and by other means as you further progress.
I got this game to kill some time on the flight to my holiday and to be honest I’ve found it hard to put down for almost two weeks! Some very amusing dialogue in the many missions you can undertake, really does have a Fallout feel to it (of course), never a dull moment while you are actively playing - defending against attacks, sending out expeditions to the wasteland for loot. I was lucky enough to get 2 pets that speed up wasteland return time speed so the habitants of my vault are very well equipped! If you do spend anything on this game, my advice is to try for those pets, very useful. Enjoy!

Addictive
I don’t know how long I’ve had this game for now, but I’ve had it for months. At this point I have unlocked all rooms, have more than 100 dwellers.
One thing I enjoy about the game is the goal shifting. Meaning when I first downloaded it, the game gave me set objectives. Build this room, upgrade this room, unlock next room, etc. Now that I have all rooms fully upgraded, the next goal is to max out my dwellers on SPECIALS (currently >20 already).
I haven’t yet finished all the preset quests. The daily, weekly and holiday quests seem to keep things fresh.
The look and feel of the game is great, as expected from Bethesda.
I’ve docked a star because of the amount of times the game has crashed on me. At times, this is because I’ve needed to update both my iphone software as well as the app, but other times, with everything up to date, it just crashes and undoes my last couple of actions.
Besides that, love the game.

Good fun but flawed.
I like this game. Its fun. However, my biggest issue is the game does not give you hardly any time to execute the things you need to do to keep a larger vault running before in come running something that steals your resources at an alarming rate & then doesn't return them to you once you vanquish the threat. And what exactly would a Deathclaw do with stolen electricity anyway? And how is it stealing that electricity while thrashing around & almost killing half of my vault? I would appreciate being given a little more time to operate my vault before being attacked over & over. If that were to happen, I would change my rating to five stars, because other than that pretty big issue, the game can be a lot of fun.

Great start but slowly disappointing 😕
For the first week of playing this game I was addicted. Absolutely loved playing this for hours on end. Then slowly I started to notice some unbalanced mechanics. In particular, mole rats. I kept getting mole rat attacks every ten minutes and lost at least 5 dwellers each time. Dwellers equipped with “high damage” weapons and all round decent Special stats. The mole rats do way too much damage and much too much health to be a fair enemy. Due to this I slowly got sick and tired of spending all of my caps reviving dwellers only to have this repeat. Really you need to think about sorting this issue out as not only me but friends and online users are quitting this game.

Fantastic game
When I first got the game, I really didn’t think I would spend much time playing this, but the fact that it needs you to keep on work, makes it a good way to spend and hour. I would really recommend to any fallout player out there as it shows the true necessities of a fallout vault and how to keep the dwellers inside alive. The need for caps is strong, so in a way it needs my to make hard decisions with the money I earned to protect those inside. Basically saying, it is a great game recommended to any fallout player out there

Fallout shelter is amazing it’s the best game I have but I’m really bad at it and all my dwellers are unhappy,hungry,thirsty and there’s no power in my vault if you don’t mind I have a couple of suggestions .1. I think it would be cool if you added a health nuke which you buy with caps and it restores everyone in the vaults health to full bar and also takes there hunger thirst away.2.I also think it would be nice if u could buy power, water
and food from the store as you can only get it from lunchboxes and well just from actually working thank you for reading my comments I hope to see some changes.

Amazing! Except this...
Basically my old file on a different phone got corrupted so I start from scratch. A bit annoyed but hey, it’s not Bethesda’s fault. So I’ve been playing for just under a week and I commonly send dwellers out to explore the waste land. However, on the odd occasion when I send a dweller to the wasteland wait a few minutes and then close down the game I come back in a couple of hours to find that my dweller found nothing, its text didn’t update it just said 00:00 wasteland expedition started and it said how long he has in the wasteland for. I asked him to come back and then I realised that it wasn’t a small bug he literally hadn’t found anything nor did he collect any caps or kill anything just nothing. Bethesda please fix this as this is one of the best and main parts of the game, thank you for reading

It’s fantastic but...
The game is very good and compelling but it just lacks a few features which just bug me; like the ability to move rooms because so far you have to destroy it and get a bit of money and then pay lots of money for a new room. It would also be better if you added the ability to share stuff from vaults you own, like if you’ve purchased a Mr Handy then should get one in each vault or at least be able to if you could trade them. But other than that it’s a beautifully made game that demonstrates the Fallout world.
Update: The Mysterious Stranger also needs work due to the fact he is extremely hard to find and the vibration function rarely seems to work and the time to find him isn’t that big. So a just a few tweaks like making the Mysterious Strangers find time bigger and maybe adding a small function to move a room and destroy a room connected to others would be greatly appreciated.

Perfect
This game is amazing I love it. I’ve had it since the earlier days of its release and the game has come so far. I love that you added things from all the fallouts and that characters genuinely look like the ones in the actual game. One thing I would like to add is that if you land a crit with a laser gun you will turn the enemy into a pile of ash like in the games and turn them into goo with a plasma weapon. Other than that you have made a really decent free to play game that isn’t pay to win. I also love that evan though I have came so far in the game I still earn mr handy boxes and lunchboxes and pet crates. I love this game soo much plz keep up the good work. I love all the games you guys make so thank you for making one that’s free and is on mobile

One bit of the game is making me annoyed.
I had a dweller in the waste land after about 12 hours and in the final 20 Minutes after the six hour return I pressed return by accident. And then the return had to go back to SIX HOURS. That drove me up the walk and almost put me off the game. It would be better if they just restart the journey from the point they were coming back. So 30 mins left, when you press explore again, it just ends up being an hour they’re out and will still take half an hour to come back. Restarting it back to the original time it unnecessary and incredibly annoying. I hope the developers fix this. I love the game otherwise and enjoy it a lot.

Brilliantly made shelter builder
I can’t remember exactly how long ago it was when I first bought this game but I can tell you I’m still enjoying it now. The brilliant array of cool wacky outfits and powerful (and sometimes not so powerful) weapons grant a fairly unique experience every time you play. Quests are engaging, although they do take a while, they offer an amusing story line with some twists I can’t even see coming (which is rare for a game like this). The ability to customise dwellers to your liking and train up your own bizarre strike team of (often related) wasteland champions. I would like to point out that the cola plant DOES actually give out cola randomly.
I wish you could fight more mutants in quests rather than just receiving messages from the wasteland about the things that your dweller is getting eaten by but otherwise, this game is great! 👍

Fab game but....
This game is fab but there are same this that could be changed. For example when a baby has been born that dweller then should have a button their display thing that shows who the parent, family are so yo don’t put him in with his mum I know they don’t do anything but it waste time and sometime the little messages don’t appear above their heads. Another improvement is that there needs to be a more easy a way to get nuka cola and free as not everyone has really money to spend. But apart from these things I would recommend the game it’s very addictive

Brilliant but ultimately unrewarding
I’ve built everything and I’ve got 100+ dwellers but what now? I was expecting the ( final room needing 100 dwellers ) coke plant to churn out coke so that you can speed things up, but it doesn’t? It just produces food and water, which I’ve already got in abundance???? Bit sort of.... don’t know what I’m supposed to do now. When I load it I spend all my time taping individual dwellers who’ve levelled up, or rooms to harvest resources. Needs more automation and an actual end game. Still brilliant to play through though. Also, when the vault gets attacked I want to see my people responding to it. I assigned 4 high level dwellers to the gate with the best weapons I had. When I got attacked, three had wandered off and the one remaining one didn’t follow the raiders into the next room?!?!? The raiders marauded through several rooms with no one paying much attention. Pretty poor really that the dwellers don’t use s bit of common sense.

So good it brought a tear to my eye
An amazing, highly interactive game, and a fun pastime. It’s nice and easy to play, not overly complicated at all, can be played easily with just your spare time alone, no random notifications telling you that your vault has been sent on fire while you were away or something, as most mobile phone games do to keep your undivided attention on the game. Doesn’t force you to spend real money all the time, and even then they sometimes have half price sales on, so fair play. Only complaint I can think of is that when the deathclaws raid your base the can completely obliterate half of your dwellers, so they are fairly overpowered, and it’s the same story once again if you get radscorpion infestations. I love this game, I hope they add more features to it in the future

A fun mobile game
Fallout shelter is game about making a vault and keeping that vault together. You act as an overseer managing: energy, food and water. Energy powers the place therefore it is the most important resource but food and water keep the vault dwellers (your inhabitants)alive. It will need time to produce but you can rush the process without the need of a penny from your wallet at the cost of an incidents but more on that later. It is surprising fun due to little details like conversations between vault dewellers and the reports while your vault dweller is in the wasteland. Sometimes there are even events like; raids from...raiders, fires, roach infestation and even a mysterious fellow who gives you caps(the game’s currency) if you catch him. The game generates revenue from loot boxes which are given though challenges and real world money. I recommend it.

Outstanding!
I’ve never expected this game to be so good when I first played it it was very simple to understand and it wouldn’t seem like you would never get the good items but you can.
As fallout is on PS4 and Xbox it is not fair for some people to play the game if they don’t have any of those consoles but since it has came to the mobile people now get an understanding on what the actual game is about and it’s for free. So they wouldn’t have to buy the console if they don’t have it just to play the game fallout.
In my opinion this is an outstanding game and I would recommend it to everyone with all ages!

It’s ok
Great game, really getting into it, had nearly 100 dwellers until I twice got attacked by mole rats that just wouldn’t die and then kept multiplying until they both times nearly killed everyone in the vault. I matter how many times they were shot, they weren’t dying. Just as I was rebuilding and spent ages trying to get the vault back to normal the same thing happened again. Absolutely pointless.... just takes any enjoyment out of it, I understand maybe once but three times completely decimating the whole vault so there’s 10-15 alive and 70+ dead?
Deleted and staying that way. Such a disappointment after really enjoying playing it for five days solid.

A fresh, hot slice o’ Fallout
The technical aspects of the game are held to a very high standard- the look and feel is very “Fallout” and it shares a touch of the whacky humour, which definitely adds to the fun (but we should expect no less from Bethesda themselves!)
As with most base-building games, a lot of the game is taken up waiting for timers to run down and most of the grinding is done by leaving your phone in your pocket. After a couple minutes of fiddling around, there’s little to do but leave your vault-dwellers to fend for themselves until you check in to harvest resources. The quests are good fun and regularly updated to keep things fresh.
After a week or so it became a bit dull.. I started a new vault and ticked the “survival mode” box for a bit of fun!
... “fun”, it was not. The emergencies became constant, at which point the game starts to show its cracks and wrinkles.
Clunky controls and limited visibility of your vault (once it gets to a reasonable size) makes it near impossible to keep on top of the infestations of critters and raider attacks!
Overall, this game is 100% worth a play, even if the fun doesn’t last forever: Well put-together and with balanced gameplay. If you’re a fan of the franchise, you’ll get a kick and a chuckle out of it, but survival mode I would only recommend to those of you with a high-tolerance for frustration (and a phone case tough enough to take a good few hurls across the room.)

A few weeks then devastation
My son played this game for a few weeks, lovingly taking care of his vault dwellers. He checked on them, equipped them with guns and stimpacks and probably tucked them all in at night. He would show me with pride every step he had towards 100% happiness. Today, being the kind Overseer he is, he went to check on his people. All dead. Deathclaw attack. No chance or opportunity to bring them back again.....unless you give the game money money money money money money money. Even then you can only remove the Deathclaws but you can't get back what you worked so hard to make. See the bright huge casinos in Las Vegas? That's this game. The game always wins and beats you down for trying to have a minuscule bit of fun.

Pay to Win Garbage
So I started playing the game and I was loving it. Was super excited to send people into the wasteland and to start doing quests and getting cool items. Virtually all my Dwellers are equipped with specialist clothing and have decent weapons yet at the 38 dweller mark I started getting rad roach and mole rat infestations that killed everyone in my vault. Some of them seemed to be invincible at times which apparently is a common glitch from online. To get anywhere or have any fun with this game later on you have to spend money in game and buy Lunch Boxes which is just morally wrong and pathetic from Bethesda, a company who’s games I usually love and support.
Thanks for wasting my time on a temporarily fun game which I can no longer enjoy due to an elaborate ploy to take peoples money :)

Needs more
I’ve been playing this game for about 2 weeks and I’ve just hit 100 dwellers so was looking forward to building the last room to make nuka-cola bottles. You won’t believe how upset I was to find out that they don’t actually make the bottles! Just food and water! *crys*. It says ‘ASSIGN DWELLERS HERE TO PRODUCE NUKA-COLA’. - how deceiving of you. Literally heart broken. So now what? It kind of seems like it’s the end of the game. I’ve got a tiny bit of space left for a couple of rooms but then that’s it. I love this game so much and spend so much time on it but what’s the point if you can’t build more?
I feel like it needs a serious update. We need more space, new quests, new people, new weapons and stuff. This game have taken over my life it’s fab, but I really want more please.
I’ll start again in a new vault just to see if I can maybe arrange the rooms better this time but what will I do then? Ahhh I’m actually gutted for real.
I know it’s a free game so the developers can’t really be bothered to work on updates because they’re not gaining anything but PLEASE? I’m desperate for more!

A Work of Art!
I’m not a massive fan of mobile gaming. I’ve always found that gaming on consoles and PC are generally better BUT, this is one truly well developed game. I’m on it every day looking after my little team of dwellers and I never get bored of it. Totally customisable and random events. There’s just something about logging in each time to collect resources and levelling up that’s so addicting. My word of advice to anyone who doesn’t like mobile gaming, get this because you’ll be surprised at how engaging this is.
In terms of improvements; there are non. Maybe a few polish ups here and there but I’m completely satisfied. Can’t wait for more content to be introduced! 😃

Brilliant but....
Firstly, I don’t really like the fact that you have limited space. I understand that it would be difficult to expand the world to be endless, but, it just comes to an end and you cannot build more. It is a brilliant game and it is really entertaining, just more space would be nice.
Secondly, I would prefer much more obvious icons and also be able to sell things much easier (if anyone knows how to, it is much appreciated).
Finally, I would be able to acquire caps easier.
Also, I have noticed that some of the babies born, are just some old people that are shrunk. I’m not sure that it is just me or a bug but it annoyed me slightly.
Other than that, this is a brilliant game that should be appreciated much more.

prepare for the future again
fallout shelter is a fantastic, rewarding free to play experience, i never felt pressured into purchases nor did they feel nessasery to people enjoying the experience, basically you build a valt fill it will dwellers manage resources, send them out for loot, keep them alive, customise them, create more dwellers, upgrade weapons and armour, so on, there is allot to enjoy in this game and the risk rewards is great, you will get rewarded with caps and lunchboxes just for playing, but there are purchase options, but again there pretty readily available to anyone. the fallout humour is here in full swing, and with the addition of customisation quests, more weapons and characters, more dialog and more build options, the experience feels fresh with a charming fallout esk art-style and a good way to spend 10 muinits to an hour. truly a great polished title, just like fallout and Skyrim - the bugs, theres even vats and a basic combat system.

Top Game!
This is an awesome game. It’s hard to start off with but when you start getting into the game, it becomes very addictive.
There are still plenty of things that could be added to the game like swapping rooms around so that you can improve your vaults layout and It would also be nice if I could play the same vault across multiple devices. You could then have the best of both worlds... big iPad screen for at home and your phone to quickly check on your vault whilst out and about.
In conclusion this is an awesome game and it is well worth playing once you get past the difficult early stages.

Poor Game Design Choices
It's been years since I last played this game and although there has been some new features added along the way, the annoyance still remains. I find it extremely annoying that my vault has issues with the power, food and water supply. The game does a lousy job of telling you what you must do to improve. I've added new power stations, eating areas and water supplies but it's still not enough.
If I were the game designer, I would make Vault Boy to give suggestions to the player what they must do to avoid shortages. Please get this sorted out soon.

Good- shame about Nukacola quantum
Great game which is very addictive, especially if you love fallout like me, but I was disappointed that the nuka cola factory doesn’t produce nuka quantum as the last room you can buy. I’ve got this far but will stop playing now as it’s sort of ruined it for me. I don’t like having to pay real money for the quantum’s and it’s quite a big part of the game. You need it to collect items and go on quests. I understand it’s a free game but it’d be better if you just paid a set amount upfront instead. Also please can you make a first person fallout 4 app as I love building the towns. Hey ho, guess I’ll have some free time again now !

Fun, addictive to start with but boring after a while.
Hate the fact I’ve had to delete half my vault just to rebuild it. Would be better if we could select room to move/remove rather than having to delete from the bottom up. I’ve got 102 dwellers in less than a week.. just starting to do quests now I have some decent weapons.
Have downgraded my star review. After a few weeks this game is boring. Two weeks to build weapons and outfits is just too long. The quests and places the dwellers find are always the same, and that too gets boring after a while. Infact I’ve started to
Ignore this game now, after being glued to it for 3 weeks. My shelter is self sufficient to run on its own.. I have 15-20 dwellers exploring at any time, I don’t even check on them. I leave them to die out there and revive them and bring them back. A large percentage are fully trained... so with my shelter at practically full capacity... what’s the point now? It got boring real quick.

Great game
This is an amazing and addicting little game with various things to do , I especially love the quest system , the game in my opinion is balanced due to the player being given plenty of quests that reward lunch boxes in the early period of their game play . The player often learns a lot of little tricks to help themselves in the game such as sending dwellers to the residences to boost their happiness and assigning them to jobs that would better suit them , Assigning charismatic dwellers to the radio station helps to boost the overall happiness of the vault as well

Great game but iOS 11 issues
Love the game, so many improvements since the early days, BUT since updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 11, the game isn’t working properly - it won’t load quests, it just gets stuck on the loading screen, likewise when I try to leave a vault for the main menu. I can get to the quest/menu by shutting down the app and reloading the game, but that’s super tedious. Hoping an update is in the works.
[edit: in case it helps identify/fix the issue (or helps as a stop-gap fix for others experiencing the problem), I’ve found that zooming all the way out before attempting to enter a quest or exit to the main menu helps (allows the next screen to load properly). I didn’t mention above, but when the bug happens, the loading screen also looks fragmented, combined with whatever was on the screen a few moments before and black patches. Hope this helps!]
