Not sure “unputdownable” is even a word, but this was the most brilliant book I’ve ever read. So cleverly written and so many twists that you just have to keep reading to find out more. Loved this!!

This book was okay... the way it was written made the storyline quite predictable and places around the middle were quite dull. I thought from the reviews it was going to be more exciting.

I’ve never read a book in a day until now. This book is compelling from the the very first paragraph. I couldn’t put it down. Possibly one of the best books I’ve ever read. It was brilliant-I would definitely recommend it.

I literally could not put this book down! I read it cover to cover in the space of 6 hours! Utterly brilliant.. it was so well written I could see it playing out before me. I felt like I was watching an intense movie in my head! Amazing

This book is amazing, the story draws you in straight away and keeps you hooked throughout.

I really enjoyed reading this, unfortunately I guessed the plot quite early on but it didn't stop me enjoying the book as my suspicions came true. Definitely worth a read.

Best book iv read in a Long time massive twists couldn't put it down

This is without a doubt the most riveting book I have read in a long while. I so wanted to come here and say “bravo!”, particularly as i used to be always rather skeptical about book reviews, believing them to be ‘made up’, or written by family and friends.

I am neither family nor friend; just an online reader who absolutely loved this book!

I read a book a week of similar genre and this is by far the best in a long time! Utterly gripping, fantastic storyline and great characters. Couldn’t wait to pick it up!

An easy to read book and one I could almost have not put down.

The story is believable because Ellie’s Mother has suffered so much over the years not knowing the truth. It’s not an icing on the cake affair, there are lots of losses and pain as well as happiness.

The author brings out the emotions the Mother, Laura, has suffered over the years and truly describes how all her family are traumatised for ever because of the loss of Ellie.

A dark thriller beautifully written and a definite new author for me to look out for.

To say I couldn't put it down I know is a cliche! But the way that Lisa has bought this story together is unbelievable

It's just amazing , her novels get better and better

The storyline held me until the end although some elements were a bit too unbelievable e.g. The aura. But it had enough twists and turns to keep me reading

Loved this book. Love all Lisa's books but glad she is exploring her darker side as she's very good at thrillers.

I read this book in one sitting. I simply could not put it down. Both shocking and heartbreaking in equal measure.

I urge you to read it. Do not think Lisa Jewell's novels are 'chick lit', they are not, and this must surely be her finest to date.
