On a bright morning in the London suburbs, a family moves into the house they’ve just bought on Trinity Avenue.
Nothing strange about that. Except it's your house. And you didn’t sell it.
'If 2018 brings a better book than Our House I will eat my hat. Addictive, twisty and oh so terrifyingly possible’ CLARE MACKINTOSH

FOR BETTER, FOR WORSE.
When Fi Lawson arrives home to find strangers moving into her house, she is plunged into terror and confusion. She and her husband Bram have owned their home on Trinity Avenue for years and have no intention of selling. How can this other family possibly think the house is theirs? And why has Bram disappeared when she needs him most?
FOR RICHER, FOR POORER.
Bram has made a catastrophic mistake and now he is paying. Unable to see his wife, his children or his home, he has nothing left but to settle scores. As the nightmare takes grip, both Bram and Fi try to make sense of the events that led to a devastating crime. What has he hidden from her – and what has she hidden from him? And will either survive the chilling truth – that there are far worse things you can lose than your house?

Clever book

Clever book. Great at start dipped a bit in middle better towards the end. I enjoyed it overall but didn’t really care about the characters. Worth the read though

Interesting line about property fraud

Property is everybody’s craze in England. So anything related will always catch an attention. The book cleverly draws attention to a relatively new crime that is in the rise - property fraud. Recommend!

Different

I read many psychological thrillers so it’s good to come across a plot which seems fresh, like nothing I’ve read before.
The way it’s well written and in chunks, interspersed with the occasional # comments, rather than in longer chapters helps to make it so readable.
For me, a very enjoyable and thought provoking read.

Great Read

So well written I felt I was living through it and the ending was perfect given the previous few chapters. Having said that, I would have preferred that those chapters hadn’t happened, they didn’t quite ring true to character and I felt there was enough of a story without them, but that didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment. I’ll be recommending this to everyone I know

Great set up. Poor ending.

I really enjoyed this book probably up to about 3/4 of the way through. I loved the set up and some of the twists. I liked the way it jumped perspective giving you clues and insights to follow. I thought it unravelled towards the end and then the ending was missed off. I found the lack of conclusion really frustrating especially as you take it on good faith that a book of this nature will have all the twists and turns ironed out and explained by the end. It’s like the ending to lock stock and 2 smoking barrels but managed far less effectively.
