Absolutely loved it!!
Lexi C Foss has very quickly become one of my absolute favourite go to authors, so I've been excitedly waiting for Blood Heart, book three in her fabulous Immortal Curse pnr series. I know now what I'm going to get, a wonderfully written story with depth, detail, characters who grow and develop, twists, turns, revelations and jaw dropping heartfelt moments, tears, red hot passion and humour. This book is no exception, I loved it and devoured it from cover to cover.
Following the events from the previous book, immortal Hydraian elder Jayson Masters (Jay) has been sent to watch and learn the secret of who and what Lizzie Watkins is. She is strictly off limits to him, but he quickly finds he needs to get closer to achieve his goal. She's been brought up as the rich, seemingly spoilt society girl, but he discovers so much more than meets the eye. Her innocence, sadness and sweet nature draws him in to the web of secrets surrounding her. When a dangerous Ichorian from his past takes an interest in both Lizzie and her roommate Stas, Jay and his allies are going to have to be on top of their game to survive what threatens to rip them apart.
I love it when you can hate the bad guys as much as love the good guys (and my heart certainly beats hard for Jay and Lizzie), but here there are so many shades of grey in between the black and white, you never know what to expect next. That's a huge part of why I love Lexi's books, they are not predictable, not for me anyway! Beloved characters are in abundance alongside the despicable and some new, very intriguing ones were introduced into the mix. Questions are answered but oh wow there are a few major new ones that need answering. It's like torture having to wait, but wait I will for the next installment because I absolutely love this series and the raw emotions it draws from me.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you love PNR, action, humour, sexiness and a brilliant story that snags your heart and won't let go, I can totally recommend this, but start at book one (Blood Laws) as you wouldn't want to miss a thing.
