Description

The tell-all memoir from the loudest, proudest Spice Girl – and the truth behind the headlines   As one-fifth of the iconic Spice Girls and judge on X Factor and America's Got Talent, Melanie Brown, a.k.a Scary Spice, has been an international star since her twenties. Brutally Honest is an exposé of the struggles and acute pain that lay behind the glamour and success.   With deep personal insight, remarkable frankness and trademark Yorkshire humour, the book removes the mask of fame and reveals the true story behind the Spice Girls, as well as the horror of her most recent marriage and her 10 year struggle to be free.

Worth a read

A good read and I can relate to what Melanie went through.
I felt the book got side tracked a little too much throughout and ended up in another story without finishing the original point.

Fantastic read

I found this book very honest and gripping at how one man can almost destroy a person. Highly recommended!

Amazing

I read this book in 2 days! I could’ve put it down. I knew I had to read this as I am a big fan of Mel B & wanted to read her story in her own words. It is sad & funny at the same time. I hope her life just gets better from here!!!

Very Honest Account

Really is a great read and much like the title it is about as honest as it gets. Mel shares her heartbreaking story which will make you cry at times. However, there is also some laughter involved and a hopeful ending. I do think it is a must read!

Brutally honest

I am a busy mum of 5. It may seem impossible but I read Melanie’s story in two days (I have had 0 hours sleep). Truth be known I wasn’t big into the spice girls but she always was my favourite. The leopard print sold it to me! Melanie Brown was made to don those symbolic outfits. She is fierce! Read her truths and Hear her Roar for every female struggling under dominating partners. I know she will come out on top at the end of her fight. Routing for you and womankind Melanie. Love and light!!!

Good

I read this book in two days.... if a Mel b fan then worth a read. As does give in sight to her life.
Honestly I only read due to the domestic Abuse side After a member of my family being trapped in a relationship and myself but with threats of violence and always limits to arguments!
Goes to show never know what is happening behind closed doors.
It is important to stand my victims and help and support because once trapped it is a cycle...

Explosive account of a life in the public eye - well worth reading!

This book is SO good - mainly because it lives up to its title 100%! So many amazing details and facts about someone we think we all know. I couldn’t stop reading this and finished it in 2 days! Girl Power is alive and well. Wow.

Empowering

Tough episodes yet funny honesty paragraphs only Scary Spice can share.
A great insight of the type of useless people that lurk in LA they all want a piece of the cake. A brilliant reminder that family comes first and money and fame makes things easier but equally it distracts you from being grounded to your roots.
