Enchiridion is a Late Latin term (derived from the Greek word ἐγχειρίδιον or enkheiridion) referring to a small manual or handbook.

Alfred the Great had a book he called his enchiridion in which he copied quotations, poems, and anything of note he came across.   This is mine.
