This incredibly engaging and immersive story is part of a writing project at Mackellar Primary School in Melbourne, Australia. Four budding young authors, aged 9-12, have collaborated to produce a visceral, intense and innovative piece of historical fiction.
The story revolves around four characters separated by their circumstances leading up to and during World War 2 and brought together by fate on April 13th, 1945.
The detail and work put into this book is beyond anything I have seen as a teacher. From the wonderful art illustrations to the informative well edited videos, the authors have shown incredible resilience in producing a piece of learning they must be extremely proud of. Well done to the students and everyone involved in this fine piece of work.
