Erin and Mark were your typical progressive white middle-class couple. The short lithe blonde woman in her early 20s, her body thin but toned from countless hours of swimming and running. Although her chest wasn’t so full the cute white girl had a firm round bubble bottom that men stared at lecherous as she jogged by. Her pathetic white boyfriend? Short, skinny, nerdy… The two met in college and had just graduated and married. Their wedding gift? A lovely little house in suburbia from Erin’s upperclass parents. It had two bedrooms – one for them and a future one for their baby when they started a family.
The Nigerian Refugee Crisis was brought to the young couple’s attention, both of them moved by the mistreatment of immigrants and refugees. At their city’s refugee center they filled out an application and were approved to host a Nigerian immigrant and presented with a few folders. One was an elderly couple. Another a woman and her son. The third? A tall African Adonis named Adele. The man was tall, toned, and had flowing locks of nappy hair. A goatee accented his face. The man was a laborer by profession and something about him made Erin bite her bottom lip and push her thighs together.
“I think we should go with the family…” Mark suggested, looking to his bride.
“We don’t have a good neighborhood for children. And, I think it is harder for young men to find a place. I think we should take in… What’s his name? Oh, Adele!” His wife commented, her eyes fixated on the grinning color photo of the handsome African.
