Exceptional

This isn’t the usual misery memoir laced with excessive emoting. Beautifully, coolly written with twists which emerge from the story line. Girl A is an unreliable narrator- how not- yet you follow her reasoning. I will re read this book and be marking the clues more carefully next time.

Gripping thriller

One of the best stories I’ve read this year. It’s not often I come across a book I can’t put down.

Incredible

This is the novel I wish I had written. Lyrical, devastating- one of the best I have ever had the privilege to have read. It will remain with me long after the last page. I loved it.

I could not put this book down

A harrowing story which doesn’t leave you when you’re not reading. I found myself thinking about this book a lot between reading opportunities. Chilling yet captivating, it’s a must-read.

TORN

I really wanted to like this book. Such a clever premise. I loved some of the clever wordplay but ultimately I found the book plot all over the place and couldn’t always understand what the writer was saying or trying to convey throughout the book. It felt like some of the wording stayed in her head and I wanted it on the written page. It will stay with me as a example of how awful human beings can be to others (the irony of me writing this is not lost on me) but I guess I write it as feedback for the next book as I would read another from the author and hope they could improve.

A little disappointed

The book was good in parts but but the ending was abrupt and I felt rushed.

Poor writing and story

Having read the reviews I was expecting something really gripping and exciting. Well, it was not the case. The story is slow and hard to follow.
