Really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and I enjoyed the idea of the multi verse. It was a story with a tale to tell

“In the Midnight Library you can’t take the same book out twice” aka the Hotel California of literature.
A superb book exploring the period between life and death, when alternate life paths are explored , to see whether the person really wants to die. Therapy of an intense sort, but very fulfilling reading this from cover to cover.

Read it!!

It’s not a bad book and quite imaginative in places. It’s basically a re imagining of the Frank Capra film It’s a Wonderful Life (Bedford, UK = Bedford Falls.) However, it’s a bit predictable and very twee.

Wonderful

Sometimes you read a book at a perfect time and filled with doubt about decisions made and paths not taken I needed to read this book. Not that I knew about this book but fate intervened and I heard about it and knew it was something I needed right now. A beautifully woven tale that deftly shows the value of a life, however unspectacular, the importance of small kindnesses and the potential within us all.

Mat Haig is a genius

A beautiful reminder that each of us have our struggles but also enormous potential. That life is for living each day at a time, and no matter what we regret, each of us has our place to be special.

I want to live.

My first book by Matt Haig. I started to read after coffee on a Saturday, and found I couldn’t stop. I wanted to know all of Nora’s lives and I hoped she’d find one. I enjoyed reading it and would definitely recommend it especially to anyone who has ever felt a regret for something in their life, however small.

Didn’t want it to end!

I read this from cover to cover over four days. Such a sensitively told story that resonated deep within me. A beautiful mix of everyday and otherworldliness. I’m in mourning that I finished it.
