The feeling of heaviness in the chest is a universal feeling that comes with Blackness. It is this feeling that is highlighted throughout this project through a series of poetry and art that explore various elements of Blackness; elements which include the doubling of the Corona virus and race, the inescapability of Blackness and more prominently, the doubling of womanhood and Blackness. The poetry speaks the pain of the mind whilst the art displays the actual physicality of that pain on the body.
