A Tween’s Book Read - At best
I cannot believe this made the NYT top spot, as an adult read. At best it’s a book for a 12-15yo.
The Molly character is inconsistent in her simplicity; she flits - and stretches - to situations the writer wants us to believe typically pass her by.
Coming off reading “Lessons in Chemistry” this was not a worthwhile read. Skip it.

Moving, deep, very exciting plot, best crime novel I’ve read in a very long time. Molly the hero and the outsider gets embroiled in a murder in her workplace hotel!

The Maid by Nita Prost
Unique among the scores of thrillers enjoyed over more than six decades, none has given me such additional delight in its quirky laugh aloud elements presented in both the conversation of characters or the observation of this extraordinarily imaginitive author using the voice of her narrator to relieve the otherwise unbearable tension building up as one reads. Whew !

Simple Read
It’s an easy page-turner, if you want something simple. The downside is that the story can be a little too simplistic, repetitive and too easily tied-up in its conclusions. I was hoping for something more.
