Savannah is used to coming home to an empty house, her husband is in the military and is deployed of extended periods of time quite a lot. Doing what she always does when he leaves, she usually gets a good romance novel to read after work and sips some wine by the fireside all nice and cozy.

This particular night, Savannah comes home with her new book, starts the fire and pours a glass of chardonnay. The book had been highly recommended by a monthly magazine she reads and has high expectations. When she is well into the book, she realizes that this book exceeds all her expectations.
