A thoughtful attempt from a well known Anglican theologian to find a middle way between Biblical literalism (refusing to recognise the role of human authors in the writing of the Bible) and a critical view that ignores the role of God. Not an argument to persuade non-believers, but a challenge for thinking Christians.
