Adrian Mole The Prostrate Years

Another great read from Sue Townsend. Whilst it didn't make me laugh as much as the 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' I still really enjoyed this book which ended quite nicely at a comma rather than a full stop. Look forward to the next installment...there will be one won't there Sue

Adrian mole the prostrate years

Ive read various other Adrian mole books over the years and they all have a similar theme of wit. This book does have funny moments in it however it is not as funny as the others. In fact the end of the book is left hanging on such a sad ending and the reader is left wondering what is going to happen to Aidy now.

Ending too abrupt

The ending is not right but the ret of the book is hilarious. Now looking at all the others I can read.

Hurrah for Sue & Adrian!

Don't let the reviews talking of a missing ending put you off - the book ends of a cliffhanger (of sorts) and a new Mole book is coming out which carries the story on.
This volume of Adrian's diaries finds him feeling very sorry for himself - as ever unable to step outside his dreams and appreciate the world around him.
Sue's ability to keep finding new stories to is amazng - to sustain Adrian over almost 25 years is certainly no small achievement.
Here's looking forward to finding out what happens next...
