Fascinating & Mostly Accessible
A very well written and fascinating account of the biggest mysteries in the Universe. How did it all begin? And where did life come from. It goes satisfyingly deeply into quantum physics where relevant and unlike some similar books does not get bogged down in the science history perspective. It can can be a little heavy going for the non-physicist in places but never fails to leave a sense of astonishment and wonderment. Like any text in this area there is inevitably a slight dissatisfaction as not all of the answers are known. But if you want the best account of the facts and theories up to 2005 then this is it.
