Teenage coming of age novel that just happens to involve aliens!

John's 15 and moves from place to place, always on the move, staying one step ahead of those that pursue him.

But he's also growing, a teenager becoming a man, making friendships, facing bullies, falling in love. And coming to terms with the fact that he's different, from another planet even.

Fast paced from the start and at the conclusion with a bit of a dip in the middle, but otherwise engaging adventure as John learns about his past present and future.

If you're like me and love fantasy stories, then you'll get on well with this book, much better than the film. I read this book before the second was released and I was hooked I now wait each year for the next in the series and the get progressively better.

This is a fantastic book that I really enjoyed, it has genius story line and has a touching ending. When you read this you won't be able not to read the next book in the series "the power of 6". You'd be mad to miss it!

A bargain for only £2.99, it's taken me three days to read this, bearing in mind I am a fast reader, but it was an excellent plot. There are unexpected plot twists, excitement and a vast amount of detail.

It hooks the reader from the very beginning and I strongly recommend to those aged 12 and above.

I thought this book was amazing. I love the way that there was no detail left behind, creating a clear picture of the scene. It made me cry and laugh in many different events. The way he described every feeling, it was like I could actually feel them.

Best boom I have ever read !

I'm not the reading type and my mum bought me this book and I thought I might as well give it a go. From the beginning to end I loved it my favourite book of all time. I highly recommend it. I have gone on to read all of the series of books and enjoyed them all.

What a great read from beginning to end. Loved it thoroughly. Cant wait for the next in the series to come out. Only a few weeks to go. Recommend this to all who love action and sci-fi. Like the characters and the story. It takes a while to get going but stick with it, it's worth it.

After watching the truly amazing film me and my grandad wanted to see what the book was like, normally I only like vampire romance books but this was really amazing even though I just spent the last of my itunes voucher believe it or no thisis a ten year old typing

This is the first proper book I ever read and I'm really liking it so I'm only 12 and yeah I recommend this book it worth it's money so if I where you and I didn't have the book right now I would by it now (by the way if you think this is a lot of typing for a 12 year old it beats writing any day thank you keyboard) but be sure to get the book

A reasonably good book with a good plot line, although with a few holes, however the writing style is poor and in places irritating. But overall not bad for a quick read.

Well, it did, but was still worth reading. People also say this book was probably first written as a film script, and that it is rubbish. THEY ARE WRONG!!!!!

I enjoyed this book immensely. It's a great start to a six-parter. Written in real time, present tense I found it a little strange at first but I got used to it and didn't mind it at all after te first chapter. Recommend this book.
