This book doesn't work because it is simply impossible to think positive all the time, bad things happen regardless of whether you were thinking positive or not, and if you try to push away your negative thoughts they'll only come back stronger.I think this quite a dangerous book really because it's trying to keep people from living in the real world nobody is happy all of the time, look at celebrities they have fame and fortune and a lot of them are still unhappy. Don't be brainwashed by this garbage people.

Please read this book... this book is amazing and if you just believe it will change your life!!

I have started sharing the secret's insights into thinking your way to happiness with my 13 year old son and believe these will be an important contribution to his education.

I had heard about The Secret once but never really looked into it. I came across it recently and read it from cover to cover enthralled!! I watched the film as well which is even better! :-D

Changed my life really opened my mind and see things differently great but well worth it :)

This book is amazing. On the first day I started reading it things happened to prove it to be the absolute truth!! Its so obvious once you know it. This wonderful book has changed my life for the better, for good.

First off, I would like to say I found this book inspiring. However, I definitely agree that the vulnerable may be heavily influenced by this, in a bad way.

No, it is not a genie in a bottle. Not all of your "wishes" may come true, and you may not win the lottery. However I DO believe positive thinking (to an extent) and an open mind is far better than a negative attitude.

It has taught me to be grateful for the things I have already. And you know what? My mother told me about this book, and "asking the universe". I just landed the job I asked for, passed my driving test first time and some other things that are a bit too personal for this review.

For those thinking this book is "Hogwash", maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Dismiss my experiences as coincidental if you wish.

For those who cant understand how it works then berate the book, is just ignorant. Anyone with a brain knows that positive thinking is a powerful tool to achieve what you want. It works!

This book is actually dangerous for those most vulnerable who may seek comfort in this piece of rubbish.

I jus love this book. .. The book has changed my life ..my way of thinking .. The conclusion from Ma side is never think negative .. Just be positive in your life ... U never know what happens but whatever is happening with you good or bad .. You are the only reason .. It's nothing from the book .. We know all these things and always try to apply this in our daily life .... But this book really help us to find such things which are deep down inside our mind and heart ... At last I ll say .. We all are children's of god .. And we have enough powers to reveal our own secret ... Yes every reader .. You can do it ... You can do anything in this world ..just don't only dream for it ... .. This was the worst book I have ever read. The 'secret' behind it may or may not work, but what is clear from the start is that this book is both condescending and patronising, and appears to suggest that disasters like hurricane Katrina happened because of 'negative thoughts'. I recommend you do not buy this book!

I can understand why some people wouldn't like this book. It requires an open mind and a willingness to adapt and change and accept some different ideas. If you're willing to do that, you'll enjoy, and grow.

I gave up reading the sample of this book when it told me my thoughts were being transmitted out into the universe like the most powerful television transmitter in the world!

We are supposed to believe that we can totally change our lives merely by having positive thoughts. Life is far more complex than that and bad things happen.

I would have laughed a lot more had it not been for the overly condescending tone.

This was recommended to me by a friend; who had previously and very helpfully recommend 'The power of now' by Eckhart Tolle'

It took me about 5 minutes to understand a very simple message that I had no chance of believing; and on reflection is quite a dangerous book IMHO opinion for anyone vulnerable that might believe this claptrap.

Almost? worth it to see what the fuss was about? On reflection no .... keep your money.

Stuck in a rut and need to take control of your life , this book is amazing and if you just believe it will change your life !

Worth a read, especially if you want more from your life!
