Absolutely fascinating first chapter, captured me right into the depths of the book and am sure I will take a great amount of concentration into the rest of the book!

Providing a review of this most famous novel by Jane Austen would be audacious indeed, but let me state that my interest in Miss Austen's work was sparked by my recent visit to her house in Chawton. I enjoyed reading (perhaps re-reading) the novel so greatly, that I drew out the experience by rationing my sessions, absorbing and savouring the skills of this infinitely accomplished author.
Thank you Miss Austen.

Gloriously good read

I return to this novel every few years and find more detail within than I can recall from previous visitations. Primarily it is the wonderful exchanges between the characters which I find so enjoyable and rich. The phrasing is extraordinary and so descriptively rich, beyond anything heard or written today, that it takes me a few chapters to adjust to the tone and detail in the narrative. It's wonderful and so enriching.

Just beautiful !

Wonderful. Never have I enjoyed conversation both friendly and the latter of two people, and eagerly anticipated it's return as with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth.

Chapters 7, 8, 9 are midding completely, the reading style doesn’t flow easy. When listening the book doesn’t keep playing like music does when the device goes to sleep but stops meaning you have to keep touching the screen and there isn’t easy to listen to when wanting to rest.

Greatly written romance!

In tears. I will never tire of reading this book. I cannot count the number of times this makes. I am happily off to now watch the BBC adaptation with Colin Firth to add to my extreme happiness at this moment.
If you've never experienced the delights of Pride and Prejudice. Read it now! You won't regret it.

Imagine Bridget Jones in the 18th c and here is the story that formed many of the subplots in Helen Fieldings masterpiece
Fall in and out of love with the protagonist and rediscover the rise of the female voice

Jane Austen is the reason I love classics! Pride and prejudice is one of my all time favourite books. Perfectly romantic! I love this book and I'm only 12! If that doesnt prove to people how good this book is, nothing will!

If you love a perfect love story, you will love pride and prejudice. I love it and I'm only 15, pride and prejudice is much better than fifty shades of grey. I'd prefer to have a mr darcy than mr grey!!!!!

A real classic. It's an addictive read. Having re-read it again on my iPad I found richer understanding of it later in life and in such comfort of a 'thin' book! A gem for romantics and it teaches delayed gratification, a couple of centuries on.

Is it just me or does the third chapter not belong to Pride and Prejudice at all? It's replaced with a chapter from a completely different book. I've deleted it and downloaded it again and it's still the wrong chapter. What's going on!!!

A book that has a lot of characters that one will identify owing to which it will perennially be relevant in spite of changing times. I wish every guy finds his Lizzy and every girl finds her Darcy. The book would install a lot of respect towards women and speak a lot about scruples .. Happy reading ...

A captivating read, I was pleasantly surprised the ease at which I was drawn into the novel. The opening humour is, without a question, an excellent piece. I love reading, but television adaptation which did not appeal to me in the least did the book no honour in my opinion.

Always wanted to read it properly and so rewarding it has been. So much better than tv versions, you really get a sense of the true character of Elizabeth and a real sense of Darcy. Not just Colin Firth ;)

Many people are afraid of reading classical literature due to it's complicated language - I know I was.
However, Pride and Prejudice is an amazing book where everything is comprehensible! Not a single word seems out of this world!
The plot is beautiful and the characters are lovable. Read the book and you'll understand exactly what I'm talking about.

it took me a while to adjust to the writing style because this isnt my usual type of book but i found myself getting really into it.
(you can skip this paragraph)
my main reason for reading this book was hank greens new web series which i am really enjoying. many friends have also recommended that i read it and the collin firth version has graced our television screen more times than i can imagine courtesy of my dear mother who has a thing for mr darcy and has aquired countless physical copies of the book over the years.
i am glad that i decided to read it because it was really good. i really liked it.
i recommend this book to anyone who likes to read. even if you dont think it is really your thing i urge you to give it a go. i didnt really think i would like it *spoilers*
due to its lack of aliens, super powers, space age technology, and apocalyptic scenarios.
but i did.

This book has always been a favourite with me. I have read it least 25 times, I always find something new on each reading. Jane Austen at her greatest. I do love the twists and turns of the plot, and the language which on reflection is not so far distant from our own usage. Beautiful.
