Description

“Once upon a time, a very long time ago now, about last Friday, Winnie-the-Pooh lived in a forest all by himself under the name of Sanders.”
Curl up with a true children’s classic by reading A.A.Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh with iconic decorations by E.H.Shepard.
Winnie-the-Pooh may be a bear of very little brain, but thanks to his friends Piglet, Eeyore and, of course, Christopher Robin, he’s never far from an adventure.
In this much-loved classic story collection Pooh gets into a tight place, nearly catches a Woozle and heads off on an ‘expotition’ to the North Pole with the other animals.
This stunning edition of A.A.Milne’s world-famous story is once again brought to life by E.H.Shepard’s beautiful decorations. Milne’s masterpiece conveys a child’s imagination like no other story before or since.

The nation’s favourite teddy bear has been delighting generations of children for over 95 years. Milne’s classic children’s stories – featuring Piglet, Eeyore, Christopher Robin and, of course, Pooh himself – are gently humorous while teaching lessons about friendship and kindness.
Pooh ranks alongside other beloved character such as Paddington Bear, and Peter Rabbit as an essential part of our literary heritage. Whether you’re 5 or 55, Pooh is the bear for all ages.

Stolen

Apple gave me this for free, but when I came to read it, I found they had stolen it from me. So, Apple, please return it.

Winnie the Pooh

I too had the free version but decided I wanted it again after it disappeared from my phone, also wanted on iPad. Having paid £5.95 I find that none of the illustrations - a fundamental feature of the real book - do not display. I agree to some extent with a previous reviewer about ratings and this being a 5* book but as an Apple iStore purchase it's a 1* only.
Do yourself and your kids a favour, buy the real book and help save a bookshop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too expensive!

I downloaded this when iBooks first came out. I didn't delete it but it's missing. Now apple want to charge 5.99 to get it back. Okay, it's a nice book but there is no way I'm going to let them take it from my phone and then pay them to download again because it doesn't appear in my purchase history. If they can do this here then what's to stop them doing this for other things I download. Avoid.

Disappointed in Apple

Like many others, I also downloaded this for free when I first got my iPad.
However, due to technical issues, I had to restore my iPad & in turn I lost my beloved Winnie the Pooh iBook.
What's worse is that the purchase doesn't even show up in my download history. It's as if I had never downloaded it.
Sort out this issue Apple.
I expect more from you than this.

Stop complaining

I too am disappointed that this book is no longer free, however there is no point in giving such a lovely book a bad rating simply because of something Apple has chosen to do.

Why give a freebie and then take it back my daughter will be disappointed, so to avoid disappointment I'll buy it from kindle @ only £4.36!
