I can't wait until the final book comes out, I will definitely read it as I have really enjoyed the book.
The story of how Hetty- Sapphire leaves the foundling hospital to go into service and works for a writer is brilliant. She has a temper to match her red hair and isn't afraid to use it!!! The way that the lovely Ida Battersea is her mother is great. She cares for Sapphire a great deal and it almost broke my heart when Ida is dismissed from her job at the foundling hospital, but Miss.Smith takes care of Ida and Sapphire. The book is more for older readers, such as girls, and boys if they like, from the ages of 8-13. Jacqueline Wilson has a real way with words that make you want to read and read and read until you can read no more, well, that is until the next Hetty Feather book comes out! The last book will bring it all to a close nicely. Hetty is one of Jacqueline Wilson's best characters left, and the way she chats to her readers through her book is amazing. I feel as if I have met Hetty myself, she feels like a lot more then a character to me and lots of other people, she feels like a dear, dear friend. I shall be so happy to read the last book, but I will dearly miss Hetty, Ida, Miss.Smith, Jem, Bertie and all the other other foundlings along with Sarah, Mrs. Briskett and Mr. Buchanan. Hetty Feather, Sapphire Battersea and whatever the name of the next book in the trilogy is will be some of the best books I have ever end as a 10 year old. The tragedy of Ida getting horribly ill is a great part of the book, even though Hetty is very sad about her dreadful loss. Madame Bernice is horrid, conning people who have lost love ones like that. Good for Sapphire, asking for her money back from that woman. Madame Bernice is one of the characters in the book, that, although she was mean, I will miss for some unknown reason. I am a huge Jacqueline Wilson fan, and have read nearly all of her books, and would love to be a writer myself someday in the not so distant future, so I appreciate a good book, which is exactly what Hetty Feather and Sapphire Battersea are. Will Hetty find her Father as she tells Ida she will in the end of Sapphire Battersea, he's out there somewhere!? I really hope she finds Jem, Bertie and meets up with some of the other foundlings. I hope she finds her Father too, as she needs a parent, as I da has very sadly passed away.
