Description

'Reminded me not just what it's like to be young and in love, but what it's like to be young and in love with a book' John Green, author of The Fault in our Stars
Eleanor is the new girl in town, and she's never felt more alone. All mismatched clothes, mad red hair and chaotic home life, she couldn't stick out more if she tried.
Then she takes the seat on the bus next to Park. Quiet, careful and - in Eleanor's eyes - impossibly cool, Park's worked out that flying under the radar is the best way to get by.
Slowly, steadily, through late-night conversations and an ever-growing stack of mix tapes, Eleanor and Park fall in love. They fall in love the way you do the first time, when you're 16, and you have nothing and everything to lose.
Set over the course of one school year in 1986, Eleanor & Park is funny, sad, shocking and true - an exquisite nostalgia trip for anyone who has never forgotten their first love.

So beautiful

The writing and the way in which they described their love for one another was just wonderful. Thank you for this book.

Woah

I loved this book, every bit of it. Right from the beginning it captivates you and it’s nothing more than an emotional rollercoaster, there are incredibly happy moments, then moments that make you feel like crying. It’s beautiful.

i don't normally read but i thought i would give this book a go. i read it in one night (it's currently 4:18am) purely because i couldn't put it down! boy oh boy did i cry a lot but this is now my favourite book i've ever read and would recommend to anyone. i feel i can relate to both these characters at different times making this book all the more better.

Heartbreakingly beautiful....

I was hesitant on reading Eleanor and Park, but Rainbow Rowell weaved a beautiful story about two outcasts who find friendship and love with each other. The ending was heartbreaking and I know a lot of people dislike it, but what Rainbow said is true; 17 year olds start a new chapter, their story doesn't end.

😞

Great book but such a depressing and simultaneously infuriating ending 😞

Please don't read!

When I first started this book I was super excited because there had been so much hype about it. But it got super boring, and very stereotypical and creepy I feel so uncomfortable reading this as parks character is so creepy and all Eleanor does is moan wish ya books were better than this awful garbage she can't even write and fan girls is WORSE!!!

Wow

Wow. Such a good book, the characters feel real and their backgrounds are so well developed too. I don't read many contemporary books, but this was very well written. 4.5/5

Eleanor and Park

This is a beautiful and delicately written book. I couldn't put it down. If you like John Green's novels you will most likely love this as well.
