It's taken me 9 months to finish this book which normally isn't the case with Martina Cole but I find the middle rather boring the end seemed to become a lot more gripping and I finished the last 200 pages in a night! other than that it was rather samey and 'the life' was mentioned way too many times. Worth a read but definitely not one of her greatest..

Abousolty brilliant read! Loved it, it brought tears to my eyes at moments! One of my favourites..and I've read a few now!

Ending is awful! I downloaded the book and turned the page expecting to start another chapter and it was over! Usually I like Cole but it was predictable and felt like a poor mans version of dangerous lady :o(

Excellent story, hooked from the first page.

Can't wait for the next one.

I absolutely love Martina Cole novels, however this one is very samey and no different to any of her recent books, the story picks up towards the end of the book, however I think Martina needs a new concept for her next book, leave the dodgy gangster family for someone else, I'm over it!

This book did not live up to expectations - No real storyline, a predictable ending, and countless mentions to 'The Life'.

In short, a very disappointing read and a real waste of money.

Probably Cole's finest work to date - and I've read them all!!!

As always gripping from start to finish, the problem it finished, could read martina's books forever. You feel like you living them great terrific a one in a million story teller

An amazing book from start to finish!!! A good read for both men and women. Hopefully this will be snapped up and made into a tv series or film!!!!

Hard to put down towards the end

Predictable . Read all the books by Martina cole but won't rush to buy another!!! Found it boring. No decent storyline and very repetitive :-((( sorry

Martina cole never disappoints. Each book she writes always exceeds the last. Fantastic author & yet another fantastic read.

Only downside is I'll have to weight another year for another book from the great Martina cole.

To all Martina fans this book is a must.x
