I couldn’t put it down

I’ve just finished reading this book and I only started it this morning.

Such a heartwarming story that brings to life a world most people know nothing about. Truly beautiful writing

I love to read, so when I started this book I was excited as I do like romance novels. When reading Billy and me I instantly started building a picture of the characters and little village that Giovanna was writing about, right from page one. The detail was excellent. I loved how there was little twists in the story line which kept me turning the page and wanting to read more.

Overall a joy to read and I liked how Sophie and Billy went though every day troubles are just like everyone else even if Billy was a famous actor.

A must read! Loved it and would read it again any day.

I wanted to read this book after hearing some good reviews but sadly for me it didn't live up to the expectation. I found myself flicking through the pages halfway through the story waiting for something to grip me or excite me. I know this is a chick-lit style book, but there really wasn't anything that I'll remember from this book and found it just an average read. I managed to get to the end but it just didn't excite me I'm sad to say. Just my opinion.

I am not much of a reader but I just couldn't put the book down I laughed, I cried, I truly sympathised with the characters. I loved the book that much I read Christmas with billy and me and always with love all within a matter of days! I will definitely be reading more of her books. Enjoy x

Such a great easy book to read. Perfect to sit back and relax, allowing yourself to drift into this lovely story. Love the characters, the laughs and the tears too. Can't believe it took me so long to start reading Giovannas books.

This book was absolutely amazing! Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down! Definitely my favourite out of the 3 novels but the other 2 are still equally as good!

Not usually a reader of this genre but I LOVE Gi so I thought I'd check out her work.

Cried at so many points, with laughter and sadness.

Sophie is so relatable and its nice to get some first hand experience in to the world of celebrity relationships etc. Billy and Me is perfect. A little treasure I will read again and again ❤️

Again the 2nd book I have ever read, the first being Giovanna's 'You're the one that I want'.... These books are absolutely captivating and fantastic. As a reader you become completely enthralled with the storyline and it's definitely a book you cannot start and put down easily! You can feel genuine empathy with the characters. As for the storyline (maybe not as far as the hollywood movie star boyfriend) as a reader can relate with Sophie, as most women would within their own relationships too!

Highly recommend!!!

I am not a big reader, but from the moment I downloaded this book I couldn't put it down. It took me just 1 day to read the whole thing! Felt rather emotional when reading this! I would 100% recommend for people to read this. Great book! Great story!!!

I've tried 4 times to read this and I can't get more than a couple of chapters in. The writing is terrible, and the plot totally predictable from the outset. I read a lot of chic-lit but it's going to take a lot for me to finish reading this. Such a shame after good reviews and high expectations.

Now I'm not a quick reader, but I loved this book so much I read it in 24 hours!!! It was just stunning. I laughed, I cried, I loved, I hated. It was just beautiful. Already pre-ordered Christmas with Billy and Me!! So ready for that!

One of the best books I've ever read!

This book has to be one of the best I have ever read, and one of the most original to. it's heart warming and emotional, but an oh so beautiful book. I shed many sad and happy tears while reading this, and I'm sure you will to! Don't hesitate to buy this book, you will not regret it! Well done Gi it was brilliant! x

Lovely read, could not put down. True love, just what I needed to prove it does exist

This book for me personally, was a let down. It felt like a fan fiction from a young teenagers perspective, dreaming about her celeb crush. I was genuinely shocked to find out the author had some experience in this area. I really like Giovanna, I read her blog and she's a really good writer! But book is generally not a page turner and I felt it had no real direction.

I loved this book, I couldn't put the book down. Such endearing characters, I actually found myself crying real tears at certain points

This book is by far one of the best books I have read in a long time, it kept me interested right up until the very end and I would read it over and over again. Well done Giovanna!

I generally find it hard to read a book from cover to cover as I tend to find it hard to get into and become bored after the second chapter. However, Billy and Me was really easy to read and once I started reading I was unable to put it down! Loved the story and the characters, basically the whole book in general. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I read this book in 6 hours I just couldn't out it down

I had to say I'd never heard of this until the other day browsing through iBooks...however I was thoroughly glad that I did!! Devoured in one day, and whilst I was sobbing towards the end of the book...made me smile all the way through. Perfect chick lit to curl up to on a rainy day...can't wait for her 2nd novel! Read it, you won't be disappointed.

It was an ok book but didn't really go anywhere. I thought the relationship between Sophie and Billy was a bit empty and could have done with a bit more detail to make you believe it.

I can definitely hands down say this is the best book I have read in over a year. Could not put it down which meant I finished within the space of a day! A gripping, beautiful and inspiring story line that anyone can pick up and enjoy. Everyone needs to read this book! Loved it!

Words fail me to describe the emotional journey Billy and Me has taken me on! Giovanna is a beautiful and very talented writer I think this will be one of those books I will always remember and happily read over and over! and probably pester everyone to read!

Fantastic book!! Read it!!!

I love books and after ages of not really wanting to read I brought this book and it uplifted my spirits. It has a predictable twist however it still made me cry (and I am not one for crying). Must read!

This book is a true credit to Giovanna, from start to finish I felt engrossed, and couldn't wait to read on. This is the first book iv ever read for start to finish. It's left me pining for more!! The perfect romantic novel for the 18-30 year old. You get a real understanding of the characters and feel at one with Sophie may. It makes you laugh, cry and leaves you feeling happy. Truly a 5 star book!

I have always been the type of person that gets so emotionally invested in a book and its characters, this book is no exception! I instantly fell in love with the writing technique as well as becoming obsessed with Sophie and being overwhelmed with anticipation as I turned every page! I laughed for pages and cried for chapters because this book is truly amazing!

After reading the reviews of this book I was really looking forward to it. However it didn't really do much for me. It was a nice enough story but I felt like it didn't have much depth. It was very predictable and only the relationship between Molly and Sophie was convincing.

But if you're looking for a quick and easy read then this is the book for you.

Loved it right from the start! I laughed, I cried. Great read.

Was a good book that held my interest from beginning to end. I love the way Giovanni writes in first person and tries to gain the confidence of the reader. The first couple of chapters really drew you in to the protagonist's story. However, as the story was told through Sophie's perspective, the only character that had any real depth was Sophie herself. To be honest, I wasn't satisfied much with the ending either. I would agree that after these chapters, the story was rushed a bit, as the story became more about the facts of the relationship and was a little indulgent. I found it hard to relate to Billy, her mum and even Molly. I did like the way Giovanni wrote though and I am eager to read her next book. Would still recommend this book to others, as it is an interesting insight into a star's spouse experience.

Before I start I'm a big fan of Giovanna (and McFly) and will always support them. I actually won this book in Giovanna's good reads competition and was so exited to read it. At first I was good the beginning of Billy and Sophie's relationship was written beautifully and I got a real understanding for her and molly's relationship however the further on I got the less I liked it. Sophie as a character became annoying and not very engaging and the Billy/Sophie relationship seemed to be lacking something, it all felt a bit wishy washy and rushed even if it was 300 and odd pages. By the end I came away having gained nothing and feeling kind of like "is that it". Im sure Giovanna will write more novels in the future and I'd like to read them to compare and contrast. So as for this book I'd say go ahead and read it as many many people love it and to see how Giovanna writes however it wasn't for me and I wouldn't personally recommend it although i am glad I read it.

I read this in a day!!! I could not put this down, beautifully written and endearing. I wish there was another one I could lose myself in already.

I loved this book so much - it grabbed me from the beginning right to end with me finishing it within two days. The plot is sweet and cute, a brilliant read overall; I found myself laughing at some parts and crying at others but there was a smile on my face whenever I was reading it! There are surprising bits and the ups and downs kept me thoroughly interested, anticipating what would happen in the next chapter.

If you're on the fence about buying this book, I would definitely recommend it - I'm considering reading it again already!

I'm not a big reader at all but once I heard about Billy and Me, I knew I had to give it a go. And I'm so glad I did.

I managed to finish the entire book in less than a day (I just couldn't put it down).

It's nicely written and is like an emotional roller coaster. But that could just be me as I tend to get too involved with other characters. This book had me giggling (while on a bus... awkward) and in tears at quite a few points.

I would recommend that everyone reads this, it's absolutely amazing. And I'll most likely be starting the book over again tomorrow…
