I left Country years ago because I couldn't give him what he wanted. Now he's back in my life, and I have to keep him there to have any hope of clawing my way into the producer chair at my sports network. 

I never stopped loving him, and seeing him every other day looking finer than hell is either going to give me a nervous breakdown or shatter my heart a second time. 

I might be halfway to both, considering the looks he keeps sending across the boardroom and how he waits by the elevator until I leave my office. The fact that he wears the same cologne might be my undoing. 

But if I can hold out until my boss retires, I'll be calling the shots. And the first one will be firing Country Maddox.
